What are you talking about? Owen doesn't belong because his heart wasn't in the business? So what? He might not have wanted to be a wrestler, but his hear was indeed in it. Why would he have been such an awwesome worker? Why would he have put so much efforet into this character if his heart wasn't in it? Why would he have stayed behind, left all alone in the E after the exodus of his family if his heart wasn't in it? Why would he have jumped from the top of the rafters if his heart wasn't in it? No one is that awesome if they don't care. Sure, he might not have wanted to be a wrestler, but night in and night out he gave it his all and if that doesn't show heart, I'm afraid you can't distinguish the difference between heart and desire. It's just another testament to how much a fucking pro Owen was.
And by that severely flawed logic so many other people don't belong in the business. Hulk fuckin Hogan above all else. That man was never in it for the love of the business, just the love of himself and the love of money. He's still working not because he loves the business, because he needs money. If he loved the business he'd taken the money the E was offering him, which is still more than what TNA is giving him but he felt that he should still be headlining. And trust me, if his tv shows weren't flops, he wouldn't be working. So a megalomaniac deserves to be in over a guy, who's desire might not have been there but his heart always was in his efforts and giving the fans everything he had? Very few, very few people ever desire to be wrestlers. Run through that list of 'Famers, so many of them were failed football players and other things, wrestling was just a fall back plan, so you'd discount them for taking wrestling as a second option?
It's just asinine to argue that someone doing something they don't really want to do but excel in it anyways doesn't belong in a Hall because it's not what they really wanted to do. And me thinks if his heart really wasn't into it that badly he wouldn't have done it.
