He died and he wrestled for the WWF/E in the 20th Century.

He deserves it

Mid-carders don't belong in a so-called 'Hall of Fame', period. He died as a mid-carder and will therefore forever be a mid-carder.

If we're continuing on this trend, why shouldn't Mr. Kennedy be inducted? He was a perennial mid-carder who a lot of people expected to hit the Main Event but didn't.

Please, Johnny Rodz, Pete Rose, and William Perry are in the HoF, and they didn't have even a quarter of the success in wrestling that Owen did. By your logic there's a ton of guys that shouldn't be in the HoF, which is nothing more then a joke to begin with.

Does Owen deserve to be in? Sure, but not because he died. It's just like when Eddie died, was he great? Sure. Would he have gotten in? Yeah. Did he get in that quick because he died? Of course, and if you don't agree you're either a mark or Blue.

Ricky Steamboat was another guy that could work well with any type of wrestler. Chris Benoit was just as good in the ring as his hero Dynamite Kid. People just don't want to give him any credit.

Chris Benoit will never get credit without someone adding "before he murdered his family and killed himself" and that's even if the person is willing to talk about Benoit.

The wwe is still suffering because of this today I think.

Nah, not really. They were feeling the backlash of it for a while, but it's pretty much subsided thanks to banning certain moves and keeping things as clean as they can.
