That's exactly what I'm saying. If I'd took an innocent life of a person I loved just because I'm a little pussy who gets scared when the wind blows, I wouldn't try to avoid getting punished because I deserve to be punished.

He killed an innocent person and he's not even willing to face the truth like a man and pay for it? Give me a break.
Alright, go take a life, get punished for it and come back and tell me how you feel after. You talk like you've experienced this before. Give ME a break.

Your point is absolutely silly. You cannot take a life and not get punished. Taking another person's life is the biggest crime you can ever commit. So when you do so and you're acting like you're the one who got affected, excuse me but you're a moron. I've never experienced something like this and I hope I never will but there are certain things I believe in and justice is one of them. You do bad things and bad things happen and should happen to you. He'll get locked up. So what? He'll still have his life which you can't say about the person he killed.

My point is silly? If its senseless killing than yes, but what if he actually did think it was an intruder? Self defence. We don't know the details so we can't assume.

Intruder theory is bullshit.

The woman was shot four times. Hardly a justifable defense at this point.

This is why having a handgun at home and fighting with the missus always ends bad.

Even if his story about blindly shooting into the bathroom with no idea who it was is true, it wasn't self defence. If his story is true he shot his girlfriend dead for taking a piss.

As opposed to the much more likely had an argument with her, he's a pathetic pussy who couldn't handle it, grabbed a cricket bat and bashed her head in, she managed to look herself in the toilet so he grabbed his gun and shot her dead while screaming "who's right now" then tries to worm his way out of it cause having no legs in prison means he's gonna have a whole lotta rape sex.

Yeah his story doesn't hold up at all, even if what he says is true and he thought that it is an intruder it is still murder. You can't just fire off four shots into a locked bathroom just because you think there is an intruder in there. In saying that I don't think the prosecution should be going for pre-meditated murder, it will be tough to prove that he planned it. After reading the transcripts from the first two days of the bail hearing it sounds like it was more of a spur of the moment thing that he thought he could get away with. I like how he was so worried about security that he had a gun yet he then leaves the balcony doors wide open.

I also still can't believe that he didn't think that the person in the bathroom was his girlfriend. According to his testimony he walked/crawled past his bed after going to the balcony, pretty hard to miss someone not being in bed. Plus, again, who in their right mind wouldn't first call out and ask if it was his girlfriend since he 100% knew that she was in the apartment.

Seriously I wonder if his legs are removed when he goes to prison since they could be used as a weapon.

I have read so many good jokes over the past few days about this situation, it is horrible that an innocent person was murdered but some of the jokes out there are classic.

Anyone else watch listen to the judge giving his judgement on bail for Pistorius yesterday or was I the only one crazy enough to listen in for two and a half hours?

Very thorough effort from the judge and not surprising since this has so much worldwide coverage and every little decision will be heavily srutinised. He would have wanted to ensure that he didn't skip anything and that he had covered all bases.

In the end he did give him bail at 1 million rand (around $110k), he has to surrender any passports and guns, he can't take any drugs or drink any alcohol, he has to stay in Pretoria and he can't return to his house where the murder occured.

Hearing the summing up it was clear that he would be offered bail since he didn't meet any of the criteria for which bail shouldn't be allowed. He is lucky that the investigating officer screwed up a few times even though as the judge said the investigating officer doesn't make the case, the prosecution does. The judge did point out quite a few holes in Pistorius' own story though.

In the end the prosecution had a week to try to come up with as much evidence as possible and piece it together so there were bound to be holes. With Oscar he should know the story as he was there when it happened so having so many holes in his story as well is telling. Apparently it will be around six months before they are back in court.

Not a surprise at all. I knew that the whole process would get delayed. With big cases like this they don't want to rush things, they want to make sure everything goes well and the result is in place.
