Randy orton vs John Cena was bull shit I only watched it because I thought Orton was gonna win but he lost. I bet everyone was all excited Orton was gona win but he just jobbed. The only good thing about the match was the crowd chanting Lets Go Orton and Lets Go Cena. Chavo Vs Rey match was kind of good
because Rey returned and all the sick moves in the match. The HHH Vs Booker match was best IMO because HHH returned and kicked Bookers ass.

Booker/Triple H was mediocre at best.

I give this match 4.5 stars out of 5 and put it slightly ahead of Cena/Michaels at Mania as match of the year. This match will turn out to be much more significant though.

See, now I have to disagree with that. I've seen that match 4 times and each time it got better. I give it no less than 5 stars, maybe even 6 stars. People talk about Flair vs Steamboat, that shit ain't nothing, compared to Rand E. vs Cena. And by the way, the RIGHT man, the LEGEND, John Cena won the match.

THE CHAMP IS STILL HEREEEEEE!!!!

Idiot... Orton Vs Cena was a great match... but just since you want to look "Cool" & support Orton it suddenly isn't a good match just because he lost!

I'm actually laughing because everybody like you were 100% sure Cena was gyna lose... lol!

Please don't complain about the quality of the match when you don't know how to review shit. Listen to others such as Kaedon who are great at Reviewing a show...

I think that because it was hyped up so much, they threw in headlocks and chinlocks just to 'make' it a wrestling match, a great one even. But it didn't work. It would qualify for MOTY but not be the one. It was a good match, don't get me wrong.

I actually liked how Umaga retained the IC title. At least they're not having it change hands every month or something. At least they're trying to give it SOME prestige again, so, good idea there.

I just read on 411mania that they rated the Orton/Cena match a ***3/4 match, which sounds believable to me. I don't even really care that Cena retained to be honest. If they want him to have a long title run, let him do so. Hey, wheather you love him, or hate him, WWE hasn't had a main eventer like him since the Attitude Era.

Whats wrong with steamboat/Flair series of Matches. there Matches were the greatest Matches of the 80's very excellent(the best series of Matches from 2 man ever in pro Wrestling> joe/Punk were close to it)... But john cena/Orton can't even touch it.

WWE was going about Batista/Taker 3 matches.... 1st was the best. 2nd was good but overrated by WWE 3rd was ok at best... HBK/taker 97-98 Owned over Batista/taker.

i just watch cena/orton before it was decent but the crowd heavily overrates just like HHH/cena, Graham/Rhodes. i give it an 7/10 but no higher.

Steamboat/flair own this 100 Billion times....

You have GOT to be kidding me. Dude, put down your John Cena action figures and listen here for a second. Flair/Steamboat were REAL 5 star matches. Misawa/Kawada were REAL 5 star matches. Joe/Punk were REAL 5 star matches. Cena/Orton ISN'T, bottom line.

Now look, John Cena's fine with me and all, as is Randy Orton, but you really have no idea what constitutes a 5 star match. I'm not saying this match couldn't be a **** or a ****1/4 match, but to call something 5 stars is something special, something that happens only once in a blue moon, and I HIGHLY doubt this was the case at Summerslam.

I'm sorry but if you rag on matches like Flair/Steamboat, expect your time on these forums to be a little rough, just the way it is.

I'm not "ragging" on anything. I know Steamboat vs Flair was good, I've seen the Joe vs Punk matches, I've also seen Kenta Kobashi vs Joe which was also a 5-star match aswell as The Great Sasuke vs Benoit in the finals of the Super-J Cup.

What? Are you shocked? Did you think I didn't know anything about Puro/ROH and all the other Indies?

You see, I love all those matches, but other than Kobashi vs Joe and parts of Joe vs Punk II the crowds were shit! The crowd in the Cena vs Rand E. match was at a fever-pitch. Those matches you mentioned are great, Cena v Orton was just better!! It might be the greatest match in wrestling history!

I'm not saying you don't know about other wrestling at all. But you made it sound like Flair/Steamboat was a hack compared to Orton/Cena. Do you honestly believe it was the greatest match in wrestling history??

Now, I havn't seen the PPV, but two sources who I trust heavily, and Montana from this site, have all rated the match ***3/4 or below, which I'm inclined to believe. It just sounds like you are overrating this match a crapload because you like John Cena, thats all. I'm not saying it wasn't MOTN, and I'm not saying it wasn't good, but the greatest in history? Come on.

ok I wouldnt go that far... it was good, I gotta give it some credit, but best match in wrestling history??? hell no!!! Cena and Orton are 2 great competitors and wrestlers, and I was pulling for Orton cause since WM23... ive gotten a bit tired of Cena being Champ, and with Orton being my favorite wrestler, I just thought it'd be a perfect fit. Cena does do well with impressing fans are live events and house shows, and I hope this feud ends in a good way, this was a good opening feud match so to speak, but if this continues, I'm kinda expecting a little bit more

^^^You're right, it wasn't the greatest in history.

His match with Omega at RR and his match with HBK in London were all better. But he beat Rand E. and that makes it a 5-star match in my opinion.

^ok Umaga vs Cena was a good match, gota give you that one, thats a good title defense imo. That showed that Cena can win at any other match type besides a simple Singles Match, and Umaga is a great wrestler too. I'm glad he retained as well, but then again, I was hoping for Kennedy to win, so Umaga can feud with Orton or someone else cause Umaga vs Jeff Hardy and Carlito and Kennedy got old

Alright,it was not the match of the year from a in ring thing. But the buildup definately matched up to that of Austin/Rock because it was the two top guys, with the biggest reactions and it was all out war. Also, the crowd reaction was so fucking loud during the entire match...
This match had me on the edge of my seat screaming at the tv during the STFU then at the RKO to.However I was pissed afterwords lol.
But MATCH of the year...NO
Buildup/hype/atmosphere of the past 5 years,maybe decade...Yes
The match itself was pretty damn good to but not MOTY

It was not a great match imo. It had its good points though. I think everyone had built it up in their mind to be this really wonderful match were Cena was really gonna be pushed to the limit and lose the title. When it was over I was let down, not because Cena retained but because I thought it had alot more potential to be a really great match and it fell short.

You call this match of the year? Did you see the ammount of chinlocks. I LMAO at Cena's STFU it was soo fake Orton was shaking his head lol. The ending was the biggest load of crap I had ever seen. Your telling me that Orton hits the RKO. Right he pinned a few seconds later but after all that punishment Cena still kicks out. Then After that Orton turns into the F-U and that is a hoist on the shoulders and a drop on your back for the 3 count. So this implies that the F-U is stronger than the RKO. Now this is why fans are getting sick of Cena. The RKO is meant to be the next pedigree or tombstone something big not the F-U
