they had a destruction derby with buses in the new one.

I for one prefer the new one, I love the original, but I think the acting is a lot better in the new one, and julianne hough is so much hotter than lorrie singer.
I will give you the Hough thing but Penn and Bacon was much better than anyone else in the second plus Lithgow is always gold in his roles

I didn't hate the remake, but the original is way better. I felt they didn't tap into the claustrophobic atmosphere of the mine as much in the remake, instead relying on a lot of Jensen Ackles smiling to try and sell tickets.

The remake is decent fun, but the first one is definitely the better horror film and film overall.

Also it was filmed in the province I live in (even though I've never actually been where it was filmed) but still cool.
