December 9th: ROH Officials want to thank the wonderful patrons in both Collinsville and Nashville for wonderful events over the past weekend! Both debuts were a success and we owe it to you, the fans! Ring of Honor returns to Collinsville, IL on Friday, March 13th. Tickets are on sale right now at www.rohwrestling.com.
December 9th: In major news, The Briscoe Brothers were able to secure their shot at Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima by virtue of their win in the Gauntlet Challenge in Collinsville. In comments from the 12/8 article http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2444, the former World Tag Team Champions make it clear that they are up to the challenge, despite suspicions about the knee injury suffered by Mark Briscoe. Jay Briscoe commented, “Those two want ROH’s toughest fighters? Well ya don’t have ta look much farther than the Briscoes to see who’s the toughest around.†We’ll have more comments from the Briscoes in the upcoming ROH Videowire.
December 9th: In a disgusting display from Saturday in Nashville, ROH World Champion, Nigel McGuinness sunk to a new low after Jerry Lynn took him to the limit in their championship match. McGuinness, who retained the title after blatantly using leverage from the ropes, took the microphone in what seemed at first to be a genuine gesture of respect toward the veteran Lynn. That perception quickly turned into a huge display of arrogance and utter disrespect as McGuinness insulted Lynn’s background, age, and anything else that came to mind, emphatically stating that Lynn “never-made-itâ€, “never-had-itâ€, and that “the boys in the back are laughing at himâ€. Lynn, who has held championship gold several times in his career, was visibly shaken by the words, as the Nashville faithful peppered Nigel with trash from ringside. ROH Video crews captured a heated display from Lynn, who erupted in the locker room area post match. We hope to have that footage available as son as possible. Lynn was unavailable for comment as this went to press.
December 9th: Brent Albright placed several heated phone calls to the ROH offices on both Sunday and Monday, after a weekend that saw his team lose a shot at Sasaki and Nakajima after more Sweet-n-Sour games in Collinsville. Albright and Erick Stevens were disqualified after Stevens used Larry Sweeney’s snakeskin boot to KO Davey Richards during the Gauntlet Challenge last Friday. Fortunately for Albright and Stevens, ROH officials are aware that Sweeney is the person that introduced the boot into the match. The following night in Nashville, Sweeney replaced Bobby Dempsey with himself in the match against Albright and Stevens, and once more attempted to introduce a weapon into play. This time, Sweeney mistakenly nailed Richards with a steel chair, allowing Albright and Stevens to score the win. ROH officials have grown very tired of the repeated rules violations by Sweet-n-Sour. Thus, on 12/27 in New York, the team of Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Go Shiozaki with Larry Sweeney, will face the team of Brent Albright, Erick Stevens, and Roderick Strong in a “Come-As-You-Are New York City Street Fightâ€! Anything goes in this one, as ROH officials hope that this will be enough to settle the score once and for all!

December 9th: Rhett Titus allegedly came clean last Saturday in Nashville. Daizee Haze confronted Titus in front of the entire audience, and with the help of the Necro Butcher, got “Addicted to Love†to say that everything he’d said about Haze was untrue. That apparently wasn’t enough; as Titus went on to exclaim that he was indeed a “virginâ€. This elicited raucous laughter from those on hand, and left Titus in complete embarrassment. What we have been unable to ascertain is whether Titus only said this under duress as he was facing imminent damage at the hands of Necro, or whether it’s actually factual. Regardless, Rhett has entered himself into the Four-Corner-Survival encounter on 12/27 in Manhattan! In addition, we’ve been informed that he is lobbying executives at VH1 to cast him in the upcoming “Daisy of Love†reality show. If you want to cast your vote for “Rhettski the Jetskiâ€, you can make your voice heard by visiting: www.daisyoflovecasting.com/people/rhettdathreat. Word from the Titus camp is that we’ll all soon know why he said what he did in Nashville!
December 9th: ROH officials are happy to announce that the Mid-Atlantic region will be well represented in January! We’ll welcome Damien Wayne, Sean Denny, and Chris Escobar to Manassas, VA on 1/16 and in Edison, NJ on 1/17. Wayne and Denny have appeared in the past, and this will be the debut for Escobar. All three competitors are standouts in their territory and worthy of competing in ROH. We’ll have more talent additions soon, right here in the newswire.
December 9th: Ring of Honor returns to PPV on Friday, January 16th with Rising Above. This event will carried on iN Demand, Direct TV, The Dish Network, and TVN cable systems. Mark your calendar now. More details coming soon.
December 9th: We’ll have more news for Final Battle Weekend tomorrow in the newswire; including reports of news from the Age of the Fall that, if true, won’t sit well with ROH World Tag team Champions, Kevin Steen and El Generico!
