listening to lots of We Came As Romans, Broadway, Attack Attack and Blessthefall lately. BMTH is good too, just for the cut up disc.

and if you like pop stuff in the vein of Boys Like Girls and Cute Is What We Aim For - Sing It Loud, Powerspace, Aloha From Hell and The Summer Set are good.

Disturbed is my favorite band... seen em 8 times live, never disappoints... Mr. Draiman ALWAYS sings perfect... and being from Chicago and them being from Chicago, the crowd is always amazing

I hope they do come out with a new cd soon!

So NIN (Nine Inch Nails) are planning to release a new album, after Trent decided that they were done and retired. Now I shelled out $129 for two straight nights for like 4 hours of nonstop fucking NIN here in Chicago, their LAST SHOWS EVER!!!! And the guy sold all his instruments and all his shit, and is releasing a new album in 2010?

First of all, as pissed as I seem to be, I'm not really that pissed. I have ALWAYS loved NIN my whole life, Trent Reznor is amazing, one of the best if not the best Industrial Rock bands of all time. Rumor has it that they could be releasing a new album idea, or a sequel to Year Zero, entitled Year Zero II.

I am super stoked to get this album, just not as stoked at the fact that if they plan on touring again I won't be going. I've seen them 4 times, and their last Farwell Goodbye tour was expensive, but it didn't stop me from seeing one of my favorite bands. Totally worth it, but Trent is a facist bastard! LOL

^nope probably sometime late 2010

I am SO righteously pissed right now. So Slayer/Megadeth/Testament have a tour together running through the US of A called the American Carnage Tour.... Slayer singer/bassist Tom Araya needs back surgery, and now had to cancel the ENTIRE tour... I was supposed to go Feb 5th.... there goes a good show.

They do say to reschedule for summer time.... which can only mean one thing! Big 4 coming to the USA baby! :shifty:

they said to hold onto all tickets.... they will try to reschedule for the summer. Here is the news article:

"Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot," said Slayer's manager Rick Sales, "but they just haven't handled the problem, so he's biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month."

This difficult decision made by the band's bassist/vocalist Tom Araya means the cancellation of Slayer's immediate tour plans that include the American and Canadian Carnage Tour dates that were set to kick off on January 18, as well as the band's UK/European tour scheduled for March and April. Booking agents for both Slayer and Megadeth are already hard at work to see if these dates can be rescheduled, so those holding tickets are asked to sit tight as more info will be announced as progress is made.

The headbanging Araya, known for aggressively swinging his long mane of hair while performing, began experiencing back problems while on the band's Australian/New Zealand/Japanese tour last October. In spite of his rapidly increasing pain and discomfort, he carried on with the tour, but immediately upon returning home saw an orthopedic specialist who diagnosed a Cervical Radiculopathy. The rocker initially did not want to take the major surgery route, so the specialist recommended a series of minimally-invasive procedures. While those procedures have resulted in some improvement, Araya continues to deal with intermittent bouts of severe pain, numbness and muscle spasms. The surgical procedure that Araya will undergo, called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion, is a relatively routine practice and the recovery rate is excellent.

Sales added, "As unfortunate as this is for so many people - the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts' promoters, and, of course, the fans - Tom's health is the number one priority, and this has to happen."

While disappointed by the tour's delay, Megadeth "is concerned for Araya and wish[es] him a speedy recovery," according to a statement released by the band's record label, Roadrunner Records, reports Blabbermouth.net.

Megadeth is currently scheduling a US headline run for March and April, and hopes to reschedule the American Carnage tour for this summer.

Anyone who has purchased an American Carnage ticket should hold on to it until further notice.
