^You have no clue how many times all the Texas dickriders over here have said that lol. It was a good ass game though, and even if McCoy played I think Bama would have came out on top tbh Shipley is a beast though.

I have been a Texas fan my whole life.. I knew it wasn't over, I knew they still had it in them. Gilbert was struggling but somehow drove them down field twice with the help of Welker Jr (Shipley) of course. Down by 3, I thought it was ours FTW!

Till that massive strong Bama D caused that fumble... then my hopes went downhill

Yeah I know the Alabama defense really nutted up when they have to. Gilbert is going to be good, he played well except for a few timely interceptions that ended it for them. Yeah man Shipley could be a top 10 pick imo.

Texas was fucked as soon as Colt got hurt, but the Texas D put a good fight before the fourth quarter. I was shittin in my pants when it came up to 24-21 in the fourth quarter til Gilbert fumbled on that sack.

LOL @ Nick Saban's Hatorade Shower, almost got knocked out by the cooler and everything.

He would've been fine if he didn't almost get knocked out by the cooler, it straight hit him in his forehead. With all that gatorade they had in the cooler, I thought Saban was gonna get drenched worse than he actually did.

There had to been 3/4's of Gatorade left in that cooler though, they must've grabbed the Gatorade cooler with the most liquid in it to relish it in on Saban.

Shit Bama could've let the mascot drink some if yall were gonna waste that much of Gatorade.

And if my aunt had nuts, she'd be my uncle....but I guess that's not the case. If's and buts aren't a part of football. If Oklahoma had Bradford, Gresham, Granger, and their O line all year, they would've beaten Texas easily in October, but it doesn't work like that.

Texas fans gave me shit about that all year.

"If OU is really as good as everyone says they are, they should have had depth"

"Don't use injuries as excuses"

...and all I'm reading on a Texas site is bullshit about how they would've won with McCoy.

Injuries are a part of football, and you just have to deal with it. How many passes were dropped in that game? How many times did the O line fuck up? How many times did the Texas defense give up huge runs? Gilbert looked pretty damn good coming in for his first real game. As an OU fan, I'm afraid of what Gilbert can become in his next three years at UT. Texas will obviously be weaker next year, losing many guys on defense, and losing Shipley and McCoy won't help. Gilbert will be a stud in the coming years.

I felt really bad for Colt after that game. I could see that he would've given anything to just be out there and play. I really wish Colt the best in the NFL, and I hope he gets decent playing time. About Shipley, I'd be surprised if he was drafted early...and I mean in the Top 2 rounds. His injuries have hurt his chances of being an effective NFL player. It's a shame, because he's a really good player.

Congrats to Alabama on their 8th National Championship, and hopefully 2010 will be the year Oklahoma takes back the Big 12 South, because it sure as hell looks like Texas and Oklahoma State will be weaker, Griffin will be back next year for Baylor (it's Baylor though...), Tech has a new coach coming in, and won't be a threat. Whoever wins the Red River Shootout will more than likely win the Big 12, and hopefully represent the Big 12 in the National Championship again.

Time to recap everything that's happened in the last 48 hours!

USC gets what they deserve.
- Loss of 30 scholarships over 3 years
- 2 year bowl ban
- Loss of wins from Dec 2004 - 2005

- Colorado to Pac 10
- Nebraska trying to join Big 10

It seems that the Pac 10 will include the following soon...

West - USC, UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Stanford, Cal
East - Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Colorado, Texas Tech, Arizona, Arizona State

But.....

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- High level sources in multiple conferences have told KCTV5 that Texas and Texas A&M are looking to move to the Big Ten Conference and have petitioned for membership, while the University of Oklahoma is planning on petitioning the Southeastern Conference to become a member of its conference.

KCTV5's sources said that Texas and Texas A&M do not have to include Texas Tech or Baylor in their plans. Sources told KCTV5 that there have already been discussions about the two schools entering the Big Ten and that the agreement could be made as soon as Thursday.

Oklahoma is currently working on petitioning to enter the SEC, but must find another university to enter the league with them, sources said. TMZ Sports has reported that Oklahoma State is likely to accept a bid to move to the Pac-10 . Earlier Thursday, Colorado accepted an invitation to join the Pac-10.

KCTV5's sources also said that some Big 12 officials are saying decisions on which deals Big 12 schools take invitations by the end of the day Thursday, although the deals may not be officially announced. Big 12 officials also tell KCTV5's sources that some Big 12 office employees are planning to be without a job within weeks.

Those decisions would leave the University of Kansas, Kansas State University and the University of Missouri with Baylor, Texas Tech and Iowa State in the Big 12. The Missouri Board of Curators met Thursday and planned to meet Friday to discuss the future of Missouri sports.
