Maybe TNA are finally going to unleash Joe again. Since he beat Red in 8 seconds. Unless they're building Joe vs Crimson

I think JJ will beat Kurt at Slammiversary. Which I have no problem with as I wouldn't mind seeing JJ as a champ once again.

Abyss winning the X-Division title :lmao

Impact Wrestling (Airing 5/26 on Spike TV):

* Sting's music and video hits but it's really Mr. Anderson out as old school Sting. He says this is the Scorpion Sitdown. Since he can't wrestle due to age he'll sit down and talk. The crowd boos. He brings out his first guest, Disco Inferno. Disco dances out. Sting says you were there, you saw it all. Disco says you really are butt hole huh? Sting asks him what he did to his injured foot? Disco says for comedy he did on Dancing with the Stars. Can we move on? Loud boring chant starts. Sting says he can get boring and just sits there. Disco tells him to get going. Sting says he was there for guys like Firebreaker Chip and Glacier. Since he was there he wants to hear from Disco's lips what it was like. Disco wondered why he was there and he figures he wants the real story on Sting. Disco starts to talk about Sting but Anderson keeps interrupting woos. Disco says if he brought him here he needs to listen. Back then the belt didn't make the wrestler, the wrestler made the belt. When Sting came around he commanded respect. When he was there he'd help everybody get better and Anderson should kiss Sting's feet for making the business what it is. Anderson interrupts, does a stinger splash to no one. Disco asks why he calls himself a butt hole when he's just a jerk. Anderson says excuse me. Disco asks if he stuttered. He gets up dances, has the mic drop down, says jerk into it and stands there. Anderson takes the mic and bashes it in Disco's face. Disco is bloody. Anderson delivers more blows. The real Sting comes out and chases Anderson off through the crowd.

* Street fight, Tommy Dreamer & Bully Ray vs. Christopher Daniels & AJ Styles. Styles has a neck brace on. Winners via spike piledriver to Dreamer, AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels. Good brawl.

* Velvet Sky is out. She asks if some of the Kknockouts are insane in the membrane with the accusations against her. From Winter saying she's jealous to Karen Jarrett saying she's Angle's mistress to ODB's problem with her. She says she heard she's in the building. ODB comes out and confronts Velvet. ODB says she got a call she was fired 6 months into her multi-year deal. She was told it's because she doesn't have the right look. Velvet said her problem with management has nothing to do with her. Velvet has been working her butt off day after day getting her butt kicked, trying to be the best. ODB tells her to shut her pie hole. ODB says she's pathetic and an embarrassment to the knockouts and women in general. That's why Angelina left her. Velvet starts to cry. ODB mocks her. Velvet goes to leave but ODB attacks her. She is beating and choking Velvet. Security breaks it up but ODB breaks through and attacks Velvet again. Security grabs ODB and Velvet runs off.

* Eric Young goes into the bathroom to find Gunner. Young goes into a stall that Gunner goes to hit him. Young says hang on. He might have accidentally taken Gunner's belt. He's sorry. He wants to make it up to him and lay down in the ring for Gunner. Gunner says if he doesn't lay down he'll put him down.

* For the Olympic gold medals, Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett has been signed for Slammiversary.

* Matt Morgan vs. Jeff Jarrett w/Karen. Karen's ankle is wrapped and she's using a crutch. Before the match Hebner forces Karen to sit further away from the ring. Winner after interference by Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett. Karen distracted the referee and Steiner delivered a flatliner to Morgan.

* Eric Bischoff is out. He says he loves each and every one of us. He said last week he sat down and had a pow wow with Mick Foley and some network reps. He convinced the reps that Foley is not qualified to be the leader of Impact Wrestling and only one man can do that. That man is the one, the only, Hulk Hogan. Hogan joins Bischoff in the ring. Hogan said all it took was a good old fashioned sit down. He says they realized his genius is second to none. He's back in the saddle and clear saying from now on. He says what Bischoff did last week by taking apart the X Division was great. Mick Foley comes out. Hogan says he's not invited. Foley chants start. Foley says he doesn't need to be, he's a network executive. He says all Hogan accomplished was making the network mad. When Hogan left, Foley showed them how the X Division helped put TNA on the map. So not only does it stay, it will go to new heights. Bischoff says that may be well and good, The Network has nothing to do with the pay-per-view. Foley says the Network is where you promote the PPV so if you think you can have a PPV without the network. Hogan says he still has the pull and why not have his X Division Champion against Foley? The X-rated Abyss vs Foley? Brian Kendrick, Generation Me and Amazing Red come out. Kendrick starts spouting philosophical stuff and saying that they're there for good. Hogan says he better shut-up and leave. Kendrick calls Hogan a cripple. He says he wants to take Foley's place and face Abyss. Hogan asks if he's serious. Hogan agrees and says Kendrick's blood is on Foley's hands.

* TNA Knockout Women's Champion Mickie James vs. Winter w/Angelina Love in a non-title match. Winner via Last Kiss Goodnight, Mickie James. After the match, Angelina Love came out and attacked Mickie James.

* For the TNA X Division Championship, Abyss vs. Brian Kendrick. Winner via Black Hole Slam, Abyss.

* They re-taped the segment with Velvet Sky and ODB to make it shorter and more to the point.

* For the TNA TV Title, Eric Young vs. Gunner. Winner via small package and new champion, Eric Young. Young laid down but it was a trick and he swerved Gunner.

* Rob Van Dam vs. Kurt Angle. Winner via Angle Slam, Kurt Angle.
Looks another pretty eh show. Seem some long ass promos on paper do those aswell.

2ND JUNE -

The show opened with a brawl between ODB and Velvet Sky. This turns into a match which ODB wins. Miss Tessmacher helps Velvet Sky afterwards.

We get a promo with Eric Bischoff in the ring. He calls out Beer Money and is threatening to strip them of the tag team titles. Alex Shelley comes out and announces that since Chris Sabin is out with an injury he will team with James Storm at Slammiversary against the British Invasion.

We get a #1 Contender's Match for the X Title between Brian Kendrick and Kazarian. It goes to a time limit draw but when they get more time, Abyss comes out and interrupts the match resulting in no winner being announced.

Crimson defeated Matt Hardy. After the match Samoa Joe comes out but is taken out by Crimson.

Angelina Love defeated Miss Tessmacher.

Mr. Anderson wrestled Eric Young who was dressed as The Great Muta. Gunner comes out and tries to distract the referee but it allows Young to spit mist in the eyes of Anderson. After a moonsault Young pinned Anderson. After the match, Anderson and Gunner beat down Young until Sting made the save.

We get a promo between Bully Ray and AJ Styles setting up a Falls Count Anywhere Match at the PPV.

Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett defeated Matt Morgan and Kurt Angle when Steiner pinned Morgan. During a brawl between Angle and Jarrett, Karen Jarrett falls and looks hurt.

We get a promo involving Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. They are reading a letter from The Network's Attorney. After a bit of trash talk Hulk Hogan reveals that Mick Foley was fired closing the show.

It doesn't mention it in this set, but Young was dressed as Muta because Anderson said earlier in the show that he would face someone from Stings past. Actually looks like a decent show, wonder how it'll come across on TV.

Impact Wrestling (Airing Thursday on Spike TV):

* The show opens with Velvet Sky and ODB fighting backstage they come through the Impact Zone fighting (rather hot). It turns into a match somehow and ODB wins. Miss Tessmacher comes out to help up Velvet.

* Mr. Anderson comes out in a different old school Sting outfit says he is going to wrestle someone from Sting's past tonight, someone he had a storied feud with.

* Backstage, Eric Bischoff is pacing upset and worried over a letter he was served by an attorney. He is talking to b>Hulk Hogan on the phone in a worried manner.

* Eric Bischoff comes to the ring and calls out Beer Money. He says that Robert Roode cannot compete and help James Storm defend the TNA Tag Team Championship at Slammiversary. Alex Shelly returns and tells the crowd that he is sad to announce Chris Sabin tore his ACL and MCL and won't be back until 2012. He then says the Network is allowing him if accepted by Beer Money to help James Storm defend the tag titles against The British Invasion at the PPV. Beer Money accept.

* Brian Kendrick vs. Kazarian for number one contendership of the TNA X Division Championship. They go the time limit but then are granted 5 more minutes. Abyss comes out and ends the bout in no contest after he lays them both out. I assume this will set up a three-way match at Slammiversary.

* Crimson b. Matt Hardy. After match Samoa Joe enters and gets laid out by Crimson.

* Miss Tessmacher vs. Angelina Love with Winter. Angelina Love wins via her new backcracker style finisher.

* Backstage, Mr. Anderson talks with Eric Young. He talks Young into dressing up as The Great Muta to wrestle him tonight to go back to the NWA days. EY finally agrees.

* Mr. Anderson (Dressed as old school Sting) vs. Eric Young (working as "The Not so Great Muta"). Gunner ends up distracting the referee and it backfires and Young hits the mist on Anderson then hits the moonsault for the win. Beat down on EY by Gunner and Anderson. The real Sting comes out to make the save.

* AJ Styles comes out and calls out Bully Ray because he hears Bully Ray wants to call him out. They go back and forth on the mic and setup a "Falls Count Anywhere" match at Slammiversary.

* Kurt Angle & Matt Morgan vs. Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner. Steiner gets the pin on Matt Morgan after a low blow when Angle and Jarrett fight up the ramp. Somehow Karen Jarrett falls off the ramp and it looks like her leg is "broken."

* Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff come to the ring thinking hey are going to read the note they were served and be fired from the Network's attorney. After Bischoff talks for 10 minutes about how much Mick Foley stinks and has since his Cactus Jack days, Hogan finally reads the letter out loud. As he reads a part of the letter that states "immediate resignation from office," Bischoff starts to leave the ring. However, Hogan finishes his sentence with Mick Foley is fired. The show ends with Hogan and Bischoff celebrating in the ring.
More indepth spoilers. The Foley firing just seems random as fuck.

Impact:

Impact opened with a Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff promo on Mick Foley.

TNA Knockouts champ Mickie James and Tara defeated Winter and Angelina Love.

Mexican America defeated TNA Tag Team champion James Storm & Alex Shelley after Shelley accidentally kicked Storm.

Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle have a back and forth in the ring to build their Slammiversary PPV bout.

Rob Van Dam pinned Bully Ray after AJ Styles, in the crowd, distracted Ray.

Velvet Sky defeated ODB in what was said to have been a very good brawl.

Mr. Anderson & Gunner defeated TNA champion Sting & TNA TV champ Eric Young.

Xplosion:

In matches taped for the Xplosion tournament:

Devon defeated Anarquia.

Doug Williams defeated Amazing Red.

Doesn't look like a bad show, once again. Hate that it looks like they're doing the "partners who don't get along" angle with Storm and Shelley, even though conceivably they should get along considering all the matches they've had against one another. Would have preferred it to be a "We have mutual respect" kinda thing, but whatever.

Maybe Storm will kick Shelley out of the match and end up replacing him with Harris.

I hope so. I'd much prefer an AMW reunion, what could be a more fitting place than Slammiversary?

Is this the last show before the PPV? If not, maybe they'll run and angle with him "auditioning" tag partners?

  • The show opens with TNA Champion Mr. Anderson coming out where a party is setup featuring food and even a beer pong setup. It's Anderson's championship party and no come came because he didn't send out any invites. Gunner comes out and says he did him a favor by beating up Sting but now he wants a title shot. Anderson says his services are no longer needed. Gunner throws Anderson through a table and leaves.
  • Hernandez w/Mexican America vs. Devon. Rosita gets involved in the match as does D'Angelo Dinero. Devon won the match via disqualification.
  • Austin Aries b. Kid Kash & an unknown worker to win a Destination X match and an Impact Wrestling contract.
  • Kurt Angle comes out and announces he is attempting to an Olympic comeback for 2012 and says him and Jeff Jarrett are done fighting. Jarrett comes out and wants another match.
  • Rosita & Sarita b. Velvet Sky & Miss Tessmacher. Mexican America were banned from ringside.
  • Rob Van Dam b. Samoa Joe after hitting a Frog Splash. They shook hands afterwards.
  • Gunner b. TNA Champion Mr. Anderson in a non-title match. I'm told Gunner pinned Anderson clean and after the match, Eric Bischoff came out and taunted him.
  • JJ can fuck off, I don't wanna see ANOTHER match and holy hell at them really intent on pushing Gunner...

I can't wait until people call TNA idiotic for finally pushing an unknown talent like Gunner. I for one am looking forward to it, he's a good worker with a great look and I'd much prefer to see him vs. Anderson than Anderson/Angle, Anderson/Sting, Anderson/RVD, or anything else at this point to be honest.

The third worker isn't unknown, he's the crown jewel of the embassy, Jimmah Rave!

Not really into Gunner however it is good to see that they are at least trying to push some new people.

And I thought the purpose of the Angle/Jarrett match at the PPV was to be the feud ender. Was the perfect time to just let it end unless they have some different twist to make it interesting.

Below are the TNA Impact Wrestling taping results for next week:

Impact opened with Eric Bischoff calling out Sting for what he did to Hulk Hogan. Sting rips apart Bischoff, kicks the hell out of him and takes Bischoff out with the Scorpion Deathlock.

Bully Ray pinned Scott Steiner.

Miss Jackie & ODB defeated Velvet Sky & Miss Tessmacher.

Crimson & Matt Morgan defeated James Storm & Alex Shelley.

AJ Styles cuts a promo announcing that he's returning to the X-Division at the Destination X PPV and so is the six sided ring. Daniels challenges him to a match at the PPV and AJ agrees. They talk about the history of the X-Division and throw out names like Jerry Lynn or Kid Kash returning. Samoa Joe comes out and gets involved.

Shiima Xion defeated Dakota Darsow and Federico Palacious (former ROH star Azrieal, working under his real name) to earn a spot on the Destination X PPV.

Winter defeated Velvet Sky in a Falls Count Anywhere match after Angelina Love interfered.

X-Division champ Abyss defeated Sting by DQ when Sting used a barbed wire glove Abyss brought into the match.

Actually looks like a really solid show on paper. I like AJ going back into the X-Division and the involvement with Daniels & Joe, their last match together was amazing and I'm sure this one will be. A lot of people I've seen don't want them to tarnish their original match, but I don't think it's possible. Miss Jackie is apparently Jacqueline, not Charlie Haas' wife thankfully. Never seen many Shiima Xion matches, but them bulking out the X-Division again is great.

Joe, AJ and Daniels going back to the X-Division means I'm starting to become a believer that they may give a damn about that division again. Would really love to see all 3 of them go at it again.

TNA is pulling out all the stops to make sure Destination X is going to be a success. And what better way than having AJ vs Daniels vs Joe as 1 of the matches. Well done TNA. Now don't fuck up the rest of the card.
