Official Football Discussion Thread 2012/13

The Alton United stadium is right down the road from where I live, but I never go to the games because they're always on a Saturday, and Saturday's my "doing other stuff" day. I love supporting smaller teams, though.

@Manchester United: Stop staining your defense and get a proper DR/RB.

I am in my early 30s mind you Pete lol. Thing is it is something I never got to do when I was eighteen and since I want to presue my dream of being a film critic and have the chance of moving to an exciting new city it is the right move for me, its a good time too as I am mature but also am not too old. Am really excited!

The score overall was pretty damn fair... Typical Everton fan getting all bitchassy over it... At least it wasn't like you lost, besides the player dived for the freekick which set up the goal, it equals out.

Two goals were wrongly disallowed, any football fan would be unhappy over that.

I was definitely unhappy to see those two goals disallowed, so you're correct with that statement. The Fellaini one I can kind of understand as it was very marginal, but the other call was very bad. The ball was clearly over the line, so I feel for Everton as they probably should've won based off what I saw in the first half. Not too sure about the second.

Pretty happy Arsenal won this morning in the Champions League. I did think it'd be a tough match, but we were comfortable in the first half. The penalty was very soft. Granted Vermaelen didn't get a foot onto the ball, but Belhanda went down too easily and the referee got conned. For how the first half went, we deserved to be leading at half-time, but wow were we off the pace in the second half. We were absolutely dominated and we looked as if we decided to just sit back for the entire half and hang onto the 2-1 lead, which is always a dangerous thing to do. We got away with it in the end and have 3 away points in the bag.

Good man. Not many championship teams get thrown around this forum, and Swansea don't get many mentions either, so I thinkg that Cardiff should be the preferred championship club of the whole forum. Hey, if Snoop Dogg likes em........
