Tonight on WWE 205 Live, NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush and Raul Mendoza both requested a rematch from last week and another non-title match has been set. Plus, Mansoor battles The Brian Kendrick!

Mansoor looks to build momentum

At WWE Crown Jewel, Mansoor fed off the energy of his hometown crowd and managed to secure a huge victory against Cesaro. Looking to build on his momentum, Mansoor is set to make his WWE 205 Live debut tonight. However, the young Superstar isn’t taking on any local competitors — instead Mansoor is slated to face one of the most experienced members of not only the Cruiserweight division, but all of WWE: The Brian Kendrick.

Can Mansoor continue to ride the wave of momentum or will he learn a valuable lesson from The Man with a Plan?

Rush vs. Mendoza: Round Two

Last week, NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush and Raul Mendoza battled in a fast-paced and thrilling non-title bout. Although Rush emerged victorious, Mendoza impressed the champion enough that despite his upcoming title defense against Angel Garza next week on WWE NXT, The Man of the Hour wanted a rematch. Mendoza also wanted another chance to defeat the champion and WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick was happy to oblige.

Will Rush pick up another victory before he faces Garza on WWE NXT, or will Raul Mendoza derail Rush’s momentum?

So the first week of WWE NXT 205 Live at Full Sail was odd. On one hand the matches were fun and the crowd made them a lot better, but on the other hand, (I'm hoping this is just bc the decision to tape it at Full Sail was kinda last minute this week) they fuckin' showed a full match from two days prior on NXT I mean I was cool with watching Garza/Nese again but I'm pretty sure 205 has a 100% crossover rate with viewers also watching NXT, so I'm unsure why they'd show the match in full unless they were just really struggling to fill the hour since they only had two matches booked. Also not a fan of them not changing the ropes or turnbuckle pads...mostly bc I think the purple aesthetic looks cool for 205. I hope we don't get this version of 205 in the future if it continues to be taped at Full Sail bc it'd be a same to sacrifice a whole match for better crowd reactions.

This episode kinda sucked tbh. Gallagher/Garza was nice while it lasted but the ending felt pretty flat to me. Also Aiden being super forced as a heel on commentary when he's normally face makes sense I guess since Gallagher confronted him after, but then Aiden was right back to shitting on the Singhs next segment so I guess Jack scared him back to being a face

The 24/7 segment was trash and even got "this is awful" chants from the crowd

Main event was fine, just didn't really do anything for me. Predictable win for the faces. Just not a lot happening on this show anymore with it being NXT's b show now and most of the Cruiswerweight title stuff happening on Wednesdays. But that still leaves the door open for them to have some fire matches with lesser guys instead of 24/7 shit like this show.

Real solid episode of 205, really fun entertaining stuff from The Singhs to open the show and that main event was super good.

Good to see Mike Kanellis back too, happy for him to be back.

Singh's segment showed me that this company knows jack shit about hockey.....and the Singh's should've known what would get them actual heat.

An LA Kings Gretzky jersey? Nah fuck that, you wear a Kesler Anaheim Ducks jersey.....a Maple Leafs jersey on Stanley Cup winners? That team haven't won one since the 60s.....you want heat? Wear a Boston Bruins jersey with Bergerons name on the back.
