WWE 205 Live preview, Oct. 11, 2019: Tozawa and Kendrick to renew hostilities

Tonight on WWE 205 Live, former friends Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick renew their intense rivalry and square off in a No Disqualification Match. Plus, Drew Gulak looks to rebound when he teams up with Tony Nese against Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch after losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

Tozawa and Kendrick look to settle their differences

When WWE 205 Live began, The Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa engaged in a brutal rivalry after Tozawa rejected The Man with a Plan’s offer to become The Japanese Superstar’s mentor. That animosity eventually gave way to mutual respect and a partnership that saw both Superstars have each other’s backs as well as prop one another up.

However, that friendship has recently been shattered after Tozawa intervened in Kendrick’s conflict with Gentleman Jack Gallagher, reigniting one of WWE 205 Live’s most storied rivalries. Tonight, Tozawa and Kendrick with battle in a No Disqualification Match to prove once and for all who is the better Superstar.

Gulak & Nese aim to rebound

This past week on WWE NXT, Drew Gulak lost the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in a battle with Lio Rush. Two weeks ago on WWE 205 Live, Gulak and his associate Tony Nese collided with Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch in a hard-hitting tag team match that saw Lorcan and Burch emerge victorious. However, Gulak and The Premier Athlete are not content with sitting on the sidelines and plan to reclaim their momentum in a rematch with Lorcan and Burch.

Been pretty good show so far, decent opening tag match from Lorcan & Burch vs Gulak & Nese. Daivari squash was decent as well, I’m familiar with his opponent Chris Bey.

Solid episode this week with a fairly thin roster after the draft. I wish Kendrick/Gallagher got a bit more time but it was fun while it lasted. The triple threat main event was a lot of fun as well, Nese/Rush should be great if they got with that as Rush's first defense. Glad they also made it official that NXT guys are going to be splitting time with both 205 and NXT even though that was kinda already happening, makes sense considering it's the NXT Cruiserweight Championship now.

I was hoping for Swerve and Garza to be on 205 full time so that is awesome that they are now.

Other guys I’d like to see on there would be Raul Mendoza, Jordan Myles, Joaquin Wilde, and Kushida.

Wilde and Kushida are both hurt right now though but when they are healthy I think they’d make good additions to 205.

A hairline wrist fracture he suffered before his match with WALTER, and that match was to write him off so he can heal.

WWE 205 Live preview, Oct. 25, 2019: The champion returns to battle Oney Lorcan

Tonight on WWE 205 Live, NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush returns to WWE 205 for the first time since winning the title to take on Oney Lorcan. Plus, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott will face Ariya Daivari, and Raul Mendoza will be in action.

Daivari hopes to put “Swerve” in his place

Earlier today, Ariya Daivari posted on Twitter that he’s ready to take on any of the new faces making their way to WWE 205 Live, especially following his loss in last week’s Triple Threat Match.




Looking to make an impact on his first night as an official member of the WWE 205 Live roster, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott quote-tweeted Daivari to make it known he’d answer the challenge. As a result, Daivari and Scott will face off tonight!



The Champion of the Hour returns

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush returns to WWE 205 Live for the first time since defeating Drew Gulak for the championship. The Man of the Hour will certainly be looking to prove to the WWE Universe why he is the NXT Cruiserweight Champion, but in order to do so, he must defeat the very Superstar he faced to earn the right to challenge Drew Gulak for the title – Oney Lorcan.

The Boston Brawler has been hungry for a championship opportunity, and following his loss in the Triple Threat Match last week, he has another chance to prove he’s ready for title contention. If Lorcan can defeat the champion in a non-title bout tonight, he will have an ironclad case for a future opportunity.
