WWE 205 Live preview, Sept. 17, 2019: Oney Lorcan ready to get even with Tony Nese
Tonight on WWE 205 Live, Oney Lorcan returns to action with one goal in mind: obliterate Tony Nese. The Premier Athlete took Oney out of action a few weeks ago, and Lorcan is hungry for retribution. Plus, Lince Dorado battles Ariya Daivari, and The Brian Kendrick finally gets his match with Gentleman Jack Gallagher.
The Brian Kendrick finally goes one-on-one with Gentleman Jack Gallagher
The Brian Kendrick has demonstrated palpable anger toward Gentleman Jack Gallagher in recent weeks. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion believes that Gallagher caused Akira Tozawa to miss opportunities for the championship and that Gallagher was also avoiding a clash with Kendrick.
After The Man with a Plan told Gallagher to find a tag team partner last week, the British Superstar answered in the form of NXT Superstar Kushida, who delivered a rousing debut and picked up the victory for his team.
However, Kendrick still wants Gallagher in singles competition, and he gets his wish tonight. Will the wily veteran teach Gallagher a lesson?
Fighting for The Lucha House Party’s honor
In recent weeks, Ariya Daivari made a nefarious effort to drive a wedge between Lince Dorado and the other members of The Lucha House Party by attempting to convince The Golden Lynx that he didn’t need Kalisto or Gran Metalik to be successful. Daivari’s exploits led to some tension between Dorado, Metalik and Kalisto that was also centered on their differing opinions of Humberto Carrillo.
However, following a valiant effort against Carrillo and WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak at WWE Clash of Champions, Dorado is once again on the same page as Kalisto and Gran Metalik, and The Lucha House Party are stronger than ever. As a result, The Golden Lynx will face the very Superstar who attempted to tear them apart – Ariya Daivari – tonight!
Oney Lorcan looks to pulverize Tony Nese
Following a shocking loss to Mike Kanellis a few weeks ago on WWE 205 Live, Tony Nese took his frustrations out on Oney Lorcan after the match. The Premier Athlete was irate when his journey to regaining the WWE Cruiserweight Championship hit another roadblock. During an interview, he unloaded on Lorcan, leaving The Boston Brawler out of action ever since.
After referring to Nese as a “lowlife” on Twitter following the attack, Lorcan is ready to take out his own frustrations inside the squared circle during his return tonight. Will Oney be the next obstacle in Tony Nese’s quest to regain the Cruiserweight Championship, or is The Premier Athlete’s recent change in demeanor enough to stop The Boston Brawler?
