[FEATURED STORY:] WWE returns to Las Vegas, Nevada in a major way with a historic Premium Live Event weekend, featuring SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada and NXT TakeOver: High Stakes taking place in the heart of Las Vegas itself just 24 hours later.

This marks one of the biggest weekends in WWE's post-pandemic return to live touring, combining the spectacle of SummarSlam with the high-risk, high-reward environment of NXT's newest special event.

SummerSlam, set for Saturday 21 August, will be the first full-scale WWE stadium event with a live audience since Wrestlemania 37 and the first summer statdium show since Wembley Stadium in 1992. The company is banking big over reclaiming its place the live event spotlight.

NXT will follow suit with High Stakes on Sunday 22 August, bringing a new Vegas-themed concept to the brand. Featuring a Winner Takes All showdown between NXT Double Champ,
Bronson Reed, and "The Mega Star" Million Dollar Champion, LA Knight, as well as the highly anticipated Lucky 7 match.

WWE continues to work closely with local officials and venue operators in Las Vegas to ensure all appropriate COVID-19 health and safety protocols are being followed. Measures include, encouraging mask use for all indoor events (aligned with local guidance), contactless ticketing and sanitation stations, venue-wide ventilation improvements and ongoing monitoring of CDC and Nevada Department of Health recommendations.

For WWE, this double-header weekend represents more than just programming but a symbol of stability returning to the wrestling calendar. With fans back in arenas, stars returning to the spotlight, and both main roster and developmental brands thriving, Las Vegas is shaping up to be the perfect stage for WWE's next chapter.

That's not all as WWE will search for the next generation of Superstars and host a multi-day talent tryout in Las Vegas as part of SummerSlam Week.

The tryouts will give elite male and female athletes and performers the opportunity to showcase their abilities with the goal of being selected to begin training at the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

“Talent is the lifeblood of our industry and these tryouts coupled with SummerSlam, one of our premier events, will help us discover world-class athletes that will serve as the next wave of WWE Superstars” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President, Global Talent Strategy & Development.

• In a WWE.com exclusive, NXT General Manager, Nigel McGuinness has revealed the full rules and structure behind the highly anticipated Lucky 7 match set to debut this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: High Stakes.

Described by McGuinness as "equal parts opportunity and consequence", the match takes inspiration from the Money in the Bank format and TNA's infamous Feast or Fired concept - but with a Las Vegas twist benefitting the High Stakes name.

Match format:

All seven competitors in the ring, competing to retrieve one of three briefcases suspended above the ring. Once a briefcase is claimed, that Superstar must immediately exit the match. The bout continues until all three cases have been secured. However - the contents of each case will remain unknown until after the match concludes. Additional rules will see no disqualifications or count-outs.

Inside the cases:

Ace of Spades: The holder earns the right to challenge for the NXT Championship/NXT Mega Championship at a time of their choosing.

King of Diamonds: This grants the bearer a title shot for any other NXT-sanctioned championship they are eligible for.

The Joker: This is the risk - the Superstar who opens the Joker will have their contact terminated with immediate effect.

McGuinness also confirmed that cardholders will not be governed by 24/7 rules. "Whoever plays their card must give notice" he said "You won't be seeing opportunistic cash-ins like you do elsewhere".

Each winner will be granted the option to veto their card - forfeiting both the potential risk and reward. But with careers and championships hanging in the balance, walking away might not be so easy.

The Lucky 7 match takes place tomorrow night featuring
Austin Theory, Bobby Fish, Cameron Grimes, Finn Bálor, Kyle O'Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Samoa Joe - and for three Superstars, the fallout will change everything.

Rumours are flying around the NXT locker room following the apparent injury to Timothy Thatcher several weeks ago - but sources close to the situation now suggest the tough-as-nails technician could still be on track to compete at High Stakes.

Thatcher was last seen being brutalised by
Killian Dain in a vicious backstage assault that left officials scrambling to intervene. Thatcher was then removed from this week's Last Chance Qualifier for the Lucky 7 match (which was won by Cameron Grimes). While Thatcher has been absent from any in-ring action, he did issue a challenge to "The Beast of Belfast" saying he will sign a medical waiver to bypass protocol and face Dain in a one-on-one match.

"Thatcher isn't backing down." said NXT GM Nigel McGuinness in a statement. "He is insisting on facing Dain, even if it means putting himself at risk."

The match is anticipated to take place of the High Stakes kick-off show, and will promise to be a hard-hitting affair. For Dain, it's a chance to solidify himself as destructive force of the NXT roster as he unleashes his lullaby of woe. For Thatcher, it's a shot at revenge - and maybe even redemption.

Sam Roberts will host the official kick-off show for NXT TakeOver: High Stakes, which will also feature a special guest panel and Zoey Stark vs. Franky Monet in a match that will be determined via Roulette!

After weeks of mystery and match-dodging, this past week's episode of NXT finally brough answers - and a surprise announcement - as Candice LeRae revealed she is pregnant, throwing the status of the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships into doubt ahead of NXT TakeOver: High Stakes.

The reveal followed a string of curious behaviour from "The Poison Pixie", who despite holding tag team gold alongside
Indi Hartwell, has repeatedly declined to defend the titles or compete in scheduled matches. On-air, this was chalked up to "strategic avoidance" and The Way's signature deflection tactics, but behind the scenes, NXT officials had been carefully integrating a real-life development.

"Yes - the pregnancy is legitimate" one insider confirmed. "This isn't part of a storyline. The creative team knew in advance and has been working with Candice to gradually transition her off screen."

Fans have been left wondering about the future of the titles and their defence against the challengers
Tegan Nox and Shotzi this Sunday.

Speculation is growing that The Way may invoke the Freebird Rule, allowing
Persia Pirotta to step in and defend the championships in LeRae's place, following a dominant victory in a Proving Ground match on this week's NXT. As of now, the champions have until bell rime to make their decision - or risk losing the gold by default.

• NXT UK's top prize will be defended at NXT TakeOver: High Stakes as Ilja Dragunov challenges WALTER for the NXT United Kingdom Championship in a long-awaited rematch in Las Vegas, Nevada - but the announcement has stirred mixed reactions among fans and analysts alike.

Dragunov made a surprise appearance on the go-home edition of NXT this week, with NXT General Manager
Nigel McGuinness making the match official after "The Ring General" demanded that he be featured at the premium live event.

The match - a follow up to their now-legendary 2020 clash - has been hailed by many as a potential show stealer. However, some fans have expressed confusion over the match's sudden inclusion on the card, particularly when both men have been largely absent from episodes of NXT UK.

Behind the scenes, sources indicate that WWE made a late decision to bring both men over to spotlight WALTER's historic reign - now past 800 days - as a marquee element of High Stakes, especially as Dragunov's momentum resurfaces with this crossover appearance. It was said that there were doubts over whether the match was even doable, due to the ongoing travel restrictions in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite doubts, the rematch is expected to deliver another classic between two of the most physical athletes in the company.

• Following on from last week's featured story, last night's special AEW Rampage: The First Dance saw the long-awaited return of CM Punk after seven years away from wrestling. Punk received a thunderous ovation at the United Center in his home state of Chicago, Illinois and challenged Darby Allin (who has previously referenced Punk on Dynamite) to a match their All Out pay-per-view event. The moment has already been called one of the loudest crowd reactions in modern wrestling history.

Impact Wrestling's Emergence special aired last night featuring Christian Cage successfully defending the Impact World Championship against Brian Myers. Cage continues to work cross-promotion matches as the relationship between All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling strengthens. The event also saw Josh Alexander and Jake Something square off in a standout X-Division match that drew attention online and backstage.

Ring of Honor's Glory By Honor XVII (Night 1) took place this past Friday at the historic 2300 Arena. ROH World Champion Bandido retained the belt against challenger Flip Gordon, while in the headline match, Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Chris Dickinson, Homicide & Tony Deppen) defeated La Facción Ingobernable (Dragon Lee, Kenny King, La Bestia del Ring & RUSH) in a wild eight-man tag team match. While originally advertised as a standard eight-man tag team match, it was restarted under Philadelphia Street Fight rules, following a no-contest.

[THIS PAST WEEK ON NXT UK:]

Meiko Satuomura def. Stevie Turner to retain the NXT United Kingdom Women's Championship: The challenger, Turner, showcased her resilience against "The Final Boss" but the champion's experience prevailed. Satomura secured the victory by making Turner submit to an STF to retain the championship.

Saxon Huxley def. Eddie Dennis: Huxley unleashed his unorthodox offense to defeat the Welsh veteran. Post-match, Dennis' ordered his clients Symbiosis (Primate & T-Bone) to lay out Huxley.

Dani Luna def. Isla Dawn: Following last week's eerie antics, Luna overcame Dawn's mind games and physicality to earn a hard-fought victory. After the match, the bizarre behaviour of Isla Dawn continued as she began collecting stands of Dani Luna's hair.

Pretty Deadly (Lewis Howley & Sam Stoker) def. Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) to retain the NXT United Kingdom Tag Team Championships: In the second of two championship matches this episode, Pretty Deadly used their cunning to outsmart Moustache Mountain and retain their titles in a competitive main event. Post-match, Trent Seven was visibily frustrated as Tyler Bate tried to calm him down.

Following on from this week's announcement that Ilja Dragunov would challenge WALTER for the NXT United Kingdom Championship once more - this time at NXT TakeOver: High Stakes - the challenger was featured in a pre-taped promo recorded at the WWE Performance Center. Ilja recounted his brutal history with "The Ring General" and said that in Sin City, he plans to make the General bleed.

Elsewhere, it was announced that a match would take place between Kenny Williams and Oliver Carter as part of the NXT Heritage Cup Tournament.

A highly anticipated match between Rampage Brown and Gallus' Joe Coffey was also promoted for a future episode.

NXT TAKEOVER: HIGH STAKES [KICK-OFF SHOW] SUNDAY 22 AUGUST, 2022
SAM'S TOWN HOTEL & GAMBLING HALL ‣ LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

We are live from Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada, as fans begin to file into the arena ahead of NXT's first Premium Live Event since Stand and Deliver in April. Sam Roberts welcomes viewers to the broadcast, standing at the panel desk with special guests Malcom Bivens, Matt Bloom, and Mauro Ranallo. Sam sets the tone immediately: after a, monumental SummerSlam the night before, tonight belongs to NXT - who have taken over Last Vegas for the for the first time ever!

Bivens, in classic form says, "Some people are gonna walk out richer. Some are gonna walk out broke." Bloom emphasises the pressure on tonight's Superstars, while Mauro proclaims "Pressure makes diamonds...or it crushes you." The night is about gambles, and only the bold will survive.

A video package rolls, hyping the Winner Takes All main event match between
Bronson Reed and LA Knight. With the NXT Championship, NXT North American Championship, and Million Dollar Championship all on the line, the stakes couldn't be any higher.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"It started with opportunity..."

Clips flash of Karrion Kross dominating opponents before
William Regal names NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed as his opponent at NXT: End of the Line.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"As the man who rose above chaos - the man who defied expectations..."

Footage plays of "The Colossal" defeating Kross at End of the Line. Reed stands tall holding the NXT title overhead.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"and claimed his place on top of the mountain."

We shift cut to LA Knight, clutching the Million Dollar Championship, fast-talking into the microphone about being the "New People's Champion" and lamenting Reed's title win, before beating various rookies in Million Dollar Dream Matches.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"While Bronson Reed stood at the summit...LA Knight was building his empire below."

Footage plays of
Cal Lannister assisting LA Knight in the shocking moment that saw the former 'Cal Bloom' turn on the double champion.

Quick-cut montage of Reed staring down Knight from across the Capitol Performance Centre, as commentary remind us of the "no contact" rule between them.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"While both were kept part, the fire continued to burn."

Footage of Bronson Reed taking out Lannister weeks ago on NXT is played, while Knight makes a hasty escape.

BRONSON REED
"You wanted me to be a fighting champion, Knight. At High Stakes, I'm bringing the fight straight to you."

The scene shifts to footage from the final showdown between the pair this past week on NXT. LA Knight smugly unveils the garish, over-the-top "Mega Championship" belt. We then cut to him with the belt over his shoulder.

LA KNIGHT
"This right here? The future. The NXT title, the North American title, the Million Dollar title - unified into MY image. Because the WWE Universe doesn't need a roster full of part-time champions, it needs ME...the NEW People's Champion. L...A...Knight. YEAH!"

We cut back to Reed's initial reaction of the Mega Championship as he shakes his head in disgust.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Knight seeks to reshape history....but Reed fights to protect everything he built."

A split-screen shows Reed dominating opponents in previous matches, launching off the ropes with his devastating Tsunami splash. In contrast, Knight is shown grinning and using dirty tactics to steal wins.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Three championships. Two destinies. One Winner Takes All.

The High Stakes logo flashes on-screen.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"At High Stakes...it's all or nothing."

Main-Event.png

As the hype package fades out, the cameras cut back to the Kick-Off panel desk where Sam Roberts, Malcolm Bivens, Matt Bloom and Mauro Ranallo are seated.

SAM ROBERTS
"Three championships unified into one Mega Championship...or three legacies preserved. Bronson Reed. LA Knight. Winner takes all. Fellas, what do we think?

Sam turns to Malcolm Bivens first. Bivens, leaning back confidently, smirks before giving his view:

MALCOLM BIVENS
"Let's be honest, Sam. LA Knight does make a good point about Bronson Reed - he's had the belt for well over a month, and tonight will be the first time he's put it on the line. On the other hand, you have LA Knight. He's a genius. He's made stars - just look at "The Mountain" Cal Lannister. He's built his empire with the Million Dollar Championship, and tonight, he's going to rewrite history. The Mega Championship? Some call it garish. I call it art. I love it. It's Vegas, baby!"

Bloom shakes his head, more serious:

MATT BLOOM
"Knight talks a big game, sure. But Bronson Reed fought for everything he has. Power. Grit. Resilience. Two years ago, no one outside of America knew who this guy was. Now, he's made history as a double champion and he's not backed down to a single thing Knight has thrown at him. Tonight, that determination beats arrogance. I'm picking "The Colossal" to walk out with all three belts.

Mauro Ranallo is as fired up as ever, leaning into the moment.

MAURO RANALLO
"The Mega Star has the charisma, no doubt - but Bronson Reed has the tsunami force to crush anyone in his way. Knight's gambling with house money tonight. But Sam, let's not ignore the wildcard here: Malcolm referenced "The Mountain" Cal Lannister. We've seen Cal tip the scales before, and tonight Reed may be fighting against more than just the challenger. I want to see a fair fight but with the stakes this high - the odds just might not be in Reed's favour."

Sam wraps it up neatly by pointing out the divided opinions before concluding that one way or another, history will be written tonight - and the world will be watching to see who cashes in at High Stakes.

As the panel discussion over the main event winds down, Sam Roberts sets the table for the first bout of the Kick-Off Show, as two of NXT's most dangerous heavyweights collide.

We then go into a short video recap

The package opens highlighting Killian Dain's dominant run in recent weeks as "The Beast of Belfast" demolishes talent across NXT programming.

Footage then shows Timothy Thatcher bumping into Dain backstage - the tension immediately noticeable. We are reminded of Thatcher's ambitions to capture gold, but he ultimately comes up short in his Lucky 7 Qualifier match against Pete Dunne. Weeks later, following a victory on NXT Evolve, Dain is seen watching Thatcher from afar.

Quick flashes show Dain attacking Thatcher two weeks ago, injuring him severely enough to rule him out of the last chance Lucky 7 Qualifier match.

In a fiery interview, Thatcher then issues the challenge to Dain, promising to end his Lullaby of Woe, regardless of his own wellbeing. Dain accepted the challenge, vowing to put Thatcher on the shelf permanently.

The video ends dramatically on a shot of Timothy Thatcher ignoring Doctor's advice and signing the medical waiver to make this match official.

Back live, we head to the ring for the first of tonight's two Kick-Off matches. Kevin Patrick and Wade Barrett welcome the WWE Universe from the commentary desk.

SINGLES MATCH:
KILLIAN DAIN vs. TIMOTHY THATCHER

Pre-Show.png

As Killian Dain begins his entrance, walking to the ring confidently, the crowd buzzes - and suddenly, Timothy Thatcher ambushes him from behind on the ramp! Thatcher barrels into Dain from behind, taking him down with a double axehandle across the the shoulders. The fans at Sam's Town erupt into cheers.

Despite being bandaged around the ribs, Thatcher continues to unleash a furious assault - forearm strikes, slaps, dragging the big man toward the ring apron and trying to smash him face-first into the steel steps. Referee, Tom Castor, struggles to get order as Thatcher struggles to get Dain under the ropes and demands the match start officially.

Castor calls for the bell, and Thatcher charges again - but Dain absorbs the blows and starts to turn the tide with his size and strength. The match becomes a gritty, ugly fight.

Dain powers out of a tight front chancery attempt, throwing his opponent into the ropes and flattening him with a massive shoulder block that echoes across the arena. "The Beast of Belfast" takes control, stomping at Thatcher's taped ribs and methodically ground him with heavy clubbing shots across the back before executing a devastating big splash.

Dain doesn't rush. Instead, he grinds Thatcher gown - driving his forearm across Thatcher's jaw, while applying a tight cross-face, wrenching at the head and ribs at the same time. Thatcher manages to struggle free, scrambling for a single-leg takedown, but Dain easily overpowers him, lifting him into a bearhug that crushes Thatcher's injured midsection.

Despite the pain, Thatcher shows flashes of defiance. He throws desperate palm strikes to Dain's face, tries to roll him into an armbar, and even manages to lock in a guillotine choke at one point - but every attempt is met with a brutal counter. Dain slams Thatcher into a corner with a spine-rattling thud, then hooks him in a modified abdominal stretch, using the ropes for extra pressure until the referee forces a break.

On commentary, Wade Barrett reminds us that Thatcher signed a medical waiver for this match and that Killian Dain is exploiting every inch of it tonight.

As Thatcher gasps for breath, trying to stay on his feet, Dain measures him - and once again locks in a deep rib compression bearhug in the middle of the ring. Thatcher fights with everything he has, swinging elbows at Dain's head, but the pressure is relentless. His movements slow, his strikes weaken, and his knees finally buckle under the strain.

Kevin Patrick says that Thatcher has the will but his body might not be able to hold out much longer.

Tom Castor moves in, checking Thatcher's arm - it drops once.

Twice.

A third time.

Castor calls for the bell - Timothy Thatcher is unresponsive, unable to continue. Killian Dain wins by technical submission.

The crowd is in shock as Dain drops Thatcher unceremoniously to the mat to have his arm raised in victory. Medics immediately rush into the ring, checking Thatcher's breathing and movement. For a moment, it looks like Dain has finished with his Lullaby of Woe as he begins to walk away.

Instead, he shoves the medics aside, and climbs the turnbuckles with surprising speed for his size, Dain launches off with a CRUSHING VADER BOMB, driving all of his weight into Thatcher's battered ribs. Thatcher spasms under the impact, barely able to roll away as Dain stands tall.

Officials pour into the ring, trying to intervene. Thatcher is barely stirring.

Still not satisfied, Dain roars at the officials, shoving one aside before dragging Thatcher upright by the arm - backing into the opposite corner. Ignoring warnings, Dain charges with full speed and smashes Thatcher with a BRUTAL CANNONBALL into the turnbuckles!

Kevin Patrick calls for someone to stop the madness, noting that Thatcher's ribs could be shattered. Wade Barrett adds that this is the risk Timothy Thatcher signed up for but agrees that no one deserves this kind of punishment - waiver or not.

Officials warm Dain, forcing him out of the ring under threat of further suspension or fines. Dain backs up the ramp, arms spread wide, snarling, while Thatcher lies inside the ring clutching his ribs, refusing to accept a stretcher even in agony.

The camera holds on Thatcher trying to pull himself upright as the crowd gives a mixed reaction, some booing Fain, others respecting Thatcher's toughness - before cutting back to the panel.

At the panel, Sam Roberts resets the tone.

SAM ROBERTS
"A savage, brutal scene here at Sam's Town - and it's only the Kick-Off Show! Killian Fain dominates Timothy Thatcher - and tonight, at High Stakes, it's clear that no one is safe from The Beast's Lullaby of Woe."

After the brutality of Killian Dain's victory over Timothy Thatcher, the camera cuts backstage. The mood shifts immediately - lighter but still tense - as the scene opens with a makeshift betting table set up near one of Sam's Town's side entrances.

Tony D'Angelo (identified by an on-screen graphic) stands behind a table decked out with a green felt cloth, fake chips, and scribbled betting sheets. He's dressed sharply but casually, flashing an easy grin as he takes "action" from a group of NXT Evolve talent including Grayson Waller, Duke Hudson, August Grey, Curt Stallion, Malik Blade and Edris Enofé, as well as a few crew members. A few backstage hands crowd around laughing and tossing money on he table.

Tony smiles, barking with enthusiasm.

TONY D'ANGELO
"Winner Takes All?" LA Knight's sitting pretty at 2-to-1, you understand me? That's a bargain! Lucky 7? Long shot odds - put your chips on Samoa Joe, maybe even old Grimey if you feel frisky."

As Tony boasts, counting the bets with flair, the crowd around him parts an in storms "The Mountain" Cal Lannister. Cal is all business, shoulders squared, visibly angry.

CAL LANNISTER
"Funny Tony. Real funny. You've got "The Mega Star" LA Knight at 2-to-1? Disrespectful odds for a man who is carrying this brand. Especially from a no-name greaseball like you..."

Tony chuckles, spreading his arms wide, trying to defuse the situation with mock innocence.

TONY D'ANGELO
"Whoa, whoa, whoa - who are you calling a greaseball!? Nothing personal, huh? It's just the numbers, just business, that's all. Everybody's gotta play the odds."

"The Mountain" steps closer, losing the space between them.

CAL LANNISTER
"You keep playing games like this...and maybe you won't like the hand you're dealt next."

Tony's smile falters for just a second - then he quickly regains his composure, flashing a smirk.

TONY D'ANGELO
"Easy, tough guy. No need for hard feelings. You wanna change the odds? Win some matches. Then we'll talk."

Cal stares him down for another intense beat before backing away slowing, giving D'Angelo a lingering glare.

Tony, unfazed, shrugs to the cameras as if to say "what can you do?" and brushes the non-existent speck of dust off his shoulder. He casually rakes a pile of chips as the scene fades out, the newcomer keeping his cool - for now.

The camera fades back to the Kick-Off panel at Sam's Town as fans continue to find their seats in the background. Sam Roberts smiles, tapping the desk lightly.

SAM ROBERTS
"Well there's a face we haven't seen before around here. Tony D'Angelo making quite the first impression."

Malcolm Bivens leans in, half impressed, half amused.

MALCOLM BIVENS
"I'll give him this much - most people rung when The Mountain comes storming towards them. Tony? Not so much. Guy's got guts. Or maybe just no sense."

With his personal experience of Performance Center talent, Matt Bloom adds:

MATT BLOOM
"Cal Lannister isn't a man you want to take lightly. But Tony D'Angelo? Let's just say he doesn't exactly colour insight the lines."

SAM ROBERTS
"In Las Vegas, fortune favours the bold...and tonight, boldness might just be the difference between climbing to the top - or crashing to the bottom. Speaking of which, it's time to talk about the chaos that awaits in the first-ever Lucky 7 Ladder Match!"

We open to a darkened arena. A ladder stands illuminated under a single spotlight.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Seven men. Three briefcases. Everything to gain and everything to lose..."

Footage flashes back to Nigel McGuinness' official announcement as NXT General Manager where he promises to put his stamp on NXT and innovate the brand by bringing excitement and risk before introducing the Lucky 7 Ladder match.

Quick shots show the three briefcases suspended above the ring.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Each man fights for one of three prizes...but not every prize is a blessing."

Ace of Spades: The holder earns the right to challenge for the NXT Championship/NXT Mega Championship at a time of their choosing.

King of Diamonds: This grants the bearer a title shot for any other NXT-sanctioned championship they are eligible for - North American, Tag Team or Cruiserweight.

The Joker: ends the career of the holder on the spot. Immediate termination.

There's a sharp musical sting as the Joker graphic flashes onscreen. We then cut to a montage of the Lucky 7:

Cameron Grimes outwits Roderick Strong and Oney Lorcan in the Last Chance Qualifier match, stealing the victory which infuriates "The Infamous" Bobby Fish, who had originally beaten him to qualify.

Pete Dunne battles through his qualifier, brutal as ever.

Kyle O'Reilly, battered but unbreakable, earns his shot through sheer grit.

Austin Theory, newly returned from injury, punches his ticket - cocky and fearless.

We then cut to flashbacks from NXT: End of the Line: Samoa Joe vs. Finn Bálor where Joe defeats Bálor in an exhibition match of the former champions. Both men are announced as Lucky 7 participants before Joe assaults "The Prince", making things personal.

We then get a rapid montage of chaos as Joe bulldozes through Kyle O'Reilly on NXT Evolve

Dunne silently stands tall at the end of the Town Hall segment

Six of the seven men going to battle in a trios match, in which tensions between Theory, O'Reilly and Bálor saw them lose bragging rights just days before the final battle.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Old champions. Rising stars. Mercenaries. Dreamers. All fighting, not just for glory but for survival."

We then get individual flashes of

Cameron Grimes laughing at the end of the Trios Tag match, standing tall above his future opponents.

Former NXT United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne, snapping fingers with sadistic calm.

Austin Theory flexing atop a ladder in a filmed segment.

Kyle O'Reilly taping up his wrists, ready to go to battle.

Finn Bálor crouched, focused, breathing heavily.

"The Infamous" Bobby Fish, sat in a robe in his theatre, plotting his next move.

Samoa Joe smirking down the barrel of the camera.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Three men will change their destiny forever but one will lost it all...
The ladders are set...
The cards are waiting..
The clock is ticking..."

The music peaks.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Who dares to climb...and who falls forever?"

Lucky-Seven.png

The camera cuts back to the panel at Sam's Town. Sam Roberts leans forward, clearly energised.

SAM ROBERTS
"The stakes do not get any higher - title shots, opportunities, or your career over in one night. Gentlemen, let's break it down..."

Matt Bloom is the first to speak this time, nodding thoughtfully. He talks about the opportunities at stake - how for young stars like Austin Theory and Pete Dunne, any title shot could be life-changing.

MATT BLOOM
"All the title opportunities are major prizes. Dunne and Theory have already shown they're starts - tonight's about proving that they're future champions."

He also gives credit to Bobby Fish, admitting that love him or loathe him, "The Infamous One" has reinvented himself since the split of The Undisputed Era and tonight he's dangerous.

Maclolm Bivens cuts in sharpy, reminding Bloom that Pete Dunne isn't a dreamer, he's already dominated in NXT UK. He predicts that "The King of NXT" will walk out with one of the briefcases.

Mauro Ranallo adds a different perspective. He reminds the audience that he was on commentary at End of the Line for the brutal Three Strikes match where Kyle O'Reilly defeated Adam Cole and sent him packing from NXT.

MAURO RANALLO
"I watched Kyle O'Reilly put everything on the line once before. He is the silent assassin of this match. My money is on Cool Kyle climbing the ladder again tonight."

Sam reminds the viewers one more time of the brutal twist.

SAM ROBERTS
"And remember, once you claim a case, you have one chance to veto it. Hand it back unopened and walk away...or risk everything to see what's inside."

The panel nods gravely as the camera prepares to transition toward the next major development. Sam wraps up with a final line.

SAM ROBERTS
"The Lucky 7 will climb tonight - but not all of them will land on their feet. At High Stakes, the ladders go up and someone's future will come crashing down. This is one match you are not going to want to miss!"

Following a message from sponsors of NXT TakeOver: High Stakes we re-join the panel. The crowd noise shifts slightly as Sam Roberts announces two surprise guests joining them to discuss the NXT Women's Championship match: Dakota Kai and Mercedes Martinez.

Kai makes her way out first assisted by a member of the backstage crew. She wears dark sunglasses to shield her vulnerable vision, her body language is tense and defensive.

Martinez follows moments later, arms-crossed, no nonsense, coolly surveying the panel as she takes a seat beside Sam.

Sam tries to keep the tone neutral, sensing some tension between the two women - despite their common ally.

SAM ROBERTS
"Thank you for joining me, both. Tonight, Raquel González defends the NXT Women's Championship against Toni Storm. Dakota, Mercedes, both of you are clearly Team Raquel tonight, but what do you think of her chances?"

Dakota is the first to answer, barely hiding her frustration.

DAKOTA KAI
"Well Raquel has made it very clear - yet again - that she doesn't want help. She told me to stay away. She told Mercedes to stay away. And now she's walking straight into Toni Storm, who's not exactly known for fighting fair."

"The Brass City Cruiser" leans forward slightly, her voice calm but pointed.

MERCEDES MARTINEZ
"Raquel's smart. She knows exactly what she's doing. She doesn't need distractions. She needs to win - because when she wins, I'm next in line to take that title."

The tension rises immediately. Following Martinez's voice, Kai turns sharply towards her.

DAKOTA KAI
"Could you make it any more obvious that you're just using her for a title shot?"

Mercedes doesn't flinch.

MERCEDES MARTINEZ
"Says the woman that has been using her for the past year!"

(she pauses)

"Listen. I'm not using Raquel. Raquel knows exactly who helped her when she needed it most. When she was staring down a literal deity - when Tian Sha were trying to end her career - I was the one who stood by her side. I didn't have to. But I did."

The live crowd murmur at the intensity building. Dakota's hands clutch to the edge of the panel table. Her voices slightly as she fires back.

DAKOTA KAI
"I WANTED to help her! I couldn't! That...that....THING! She blinded me! I never even got the chance."

The emotion pours out, Dakota's anger revealing itself as heartbreak. At that moment, Mauro leans in gently trying to mediate.

MAURO RANALLO
"Dakota, nobody questions your loyalty. I sat with you after the attack. I know how hard you've fought. But tonight isn't about the past. It's about what Raquel has to do to survive right now."

Dakota lowers her head slightly, breathing heavily through gritted teeth. Mercedes, sensing the emotional shift, pushes back from the table, standing without another word. Hearing her, Kai tries to reach out.

DAKOTA KAI
"Don't walk away from me too. You don't get to just leave me."

But Mercedes does just that and walks off the panel set without looking back. Meanwhile, Dakota is left visibly shaking with emotion as Sam signals for production to assist her, maintaining dignity as the panel resets.

SAM ROBERTS
"As emotions run high within Raquel González's camp, across the ring stands a challenger with no such turmoil. Toni Storm - a world class competitor, a global sensation, a former NXT UK Women's Champion, and winner of the 2018 Mae Young Classic - awaits her moment."

Matt nods in agreement.

MATT BLOOM
"Toni Storm has done it all - Japan, the UK, Australia - and she's dominated everywhere she's been. She's one of the best technical wrestlers and big-match performers anywhere in the world."

Mauro then adds.

MAURO RANALLO
"You mention the Mae Young Classic, which of course isn't just a trophy but a coronation of a star. However, that trophy seems to have done a lot of the work for her recently. She's not shy about swinging it when she's needed an advantage."

Bivens acknowledges the point but reminds everyone:

MALCOLM BIVENS
"The results speak for themselves. Toni Storm earned her way back to this opportunity, she defeated one of Big Mami Cool's besties, Mercedes in the first round of the Contender Series and then knocking off Sarray, who was undefeated at the time. Everyone raved about Sarray for months, then Toni humbled her real quick. Don't think for a second that The Headliner isn't coming into this match ready to break Mami's reign in half."

Sam closes the discussion with a warning:

SAM ROBERTS
"Well tonight isn't just Raquel's biggest defence - it could be her last defence if she underestimates Toni Storm for everyone one second. World-class credentials. A ruthless streak. Toni may just be the perfect storm to end Raquel González's reign tonight at High Stakes."

Following the heated discussion, Roberts shifts gears to reset the pacing - coming up next, the panel will dive into the NXT Tag Team Championship scene as MSK prepare to defend their titles against Hit Row and The Way.

A graphic appears stating "We'll be right back!" as the camera pans over the live crowd.

We return live from commercial break, the camera returns to the panel at Sam's Town. Sam Roberts welcomes the viewers back.

SAM ROBERTS
"Welcome back to the NXT TakeOver: High Stakes Kick-Off show. Coming up, it's one of the most unpredictable matches of the night. MSK defending their titles in a triple threat against The Way and Hit Row."

Mauro Ranallo smiles.

MAURO RANALLO
"Three teams. One set of titles. Mama Mia! It's going to be beautiful chaos, Sam."

Sam nods and sends us to a special look at how the match came together.

The opening shot shows the NXT Tag Team Championships as they glimmer under a spotlight.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"The road to the top of the NXT Tag Team Division has never been more dangerous...or more unpredictable."

Footage shows MKS celebrating with the titles, alongside highlights of their high-speed offence.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"The champions have blazed a trail few can follow.

We then see footage of Hit Row making their entrance, full or energy and confidence.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"But rising fast, Hit Row - who have dominated across singles, trios, and tag team matches."

The footage shows their victory against August Grey and Ikemen Jiro on the 3rd August edition of NXT.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Meanwhile, Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis - former foes- found chemistry in the most unlikely of places."

We then cut to Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis overcoming Airya Daivari and Tony Nese, following an uncertain alliance, which has led to Lumis seeing 'the way'.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"But when unity was tested - it all unravelled. A critical loss left the champions vulnerable."

Flashback to this past Tuesday on NXT, when Gargano teamed with MSK against all three members of Hit Row. We first see, Gargano and Lumis reluctantly training with MSK before cutting to footage of Gargano getting pinned.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Now, it's every team for themselves. Tonight, balance is resorted as three of NXT's best collide for the ultimate prize."

Men-s-Tag-Team.png

The camera cuts back to the panel desk.

SAM ROBERTS
"The champions are reeling. The challengers are confident. And tonight, the future of the tag team division hangs in the balance.

Matt Bloom is first to speak.

MATT BLOOM
"MSK are a phenomenal tag team, they won the Dusty Rhodes Classic to earn a tag title match, only to then have to overcome three other teams on the first night of Stand & Deliver to become the champions. However, there's real pressure on Wes Lee and Nash Carter tonight. Hit Row has been running over everybody, and Johnny Gargano is a veteran who knows how to win big matches and he wants The Way holding all the tag team gold."

Malcom Bivens prepares to jump in - but before he can, Chase Parker and Matt Martel of Ever-Rise storm the panel set, clearly furious.

Parker shouts "is this a joke!?" as Martel slams his hands on the desk, glaring at Bivens, who is both excited to see them, and confused.

Martel says they had Breezango beat on NXT Evolve, but he had to stick his nose where it didn't belong. Parker adds that they wanted to win 'the right way' and not with a 'shady shortcut'.

Bivens shrugs, pleading innocence.

MALCOLM BIVENS
"I helped you win. You're welcome. Where I come from a W's a W. Style points are for losers."

Martel shakes his head, furious:

MATT MARTEL
"You failed your probation, man. We didn't even want you out there with us. And now you've made us look like a joke."

Security steps between them quickly, guiding Ever-Rise away from the desk as they continue to shout towards Bivens, telling him he's banned from Ever-Rise Live. Bivens seems panicked at first, but tries to maintain his composure, acting unbothered.

SAM ROBERTS
"Clearly, tempers are running high tonight...and it's not just in the ring. Now, it's not just the men's division feeling the heat tonight. The NXT Women's Tag Team titles are up for grabs - but with unexpected changes rocking The Way's plans, the future of the women's tag team division has never been more uncertain. Let's take a closer look..."

We open to a shot of the challengers, Tegan Nox and Shotzi charging into battle together on the TCB battle tank. We are reminded of both of their previous feuds with Dakota Kai and Raquel González.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"A bond forged in fire...together overcoming the division's most established teams to prove they belong at the very top."

Flashback to the pair winning the number one contender's tag team gauntlet match on the 27th July edition of NXT. This is juxtaposed by a shot of the duo being attacked by Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell two weeks ago at the official High Stakes match contract signing.

We then cut to a show of Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell with the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships, while Persia stands in the background.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"But with a shock announcement..."

We quick cut between Candice dodging matches or avoiding ring-time where possible up until it was revealed that she was pregnant!

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"A new team must rise or fall - under the weight of expectation."

We see Candice proudly applauding Persia, who emerged victorious in her proving ground match this past week as Indi looked on.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Friendships tested. Legacies threatened. Tonight, in Las Vegas, the future of the NXT Women's Tag Team division is on the line."

Fade out to the Women's Tag Team titles draped over a poker table marked "High Stakes".

Women-s-Tag-Team-1.png

Sam Roberts brings it back smoothly:

SAM ROBERTS
"Nigel McGuinness has ruled that Candice LeRae has until bell time to come up with a plan or the The Way will forefit the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.

Mauro speaks solemnly.

MAURO RANALLO
"Candice LeRae cannot wrestle tonight. She's got a bigger journey ahead of her now. She needs time away from NXT, and that's a reality that Indi Hartwell and The Way have to accept."

Bloom nods in agreement with Mauro.

MATT BLOOM
"This situation has thrown a wrench into everything. In both men and women's tag team title matches, The Way are going to have this question mark hanging above them. In this match, it's presented as a chance for Tegan Nox and Shotzi, who have fought their way for this opportunity. For the champions? It's a scramble.

Bivens, ever the cynic chips in.

MALCOLM BIVENS
"Persia Pirotta stepping in sounds like a solution, her and Indi go way back...but does Candice LeRae even want that? She's only just come around to the idea of inducting her into The Way, and we all know she has a death grip on that belt - is her ego really going to let a rookie waltz in and replace her?"

Matt Bloom closes the thought.

MATT BLOOM
"Tegan and Shotzi earned everything the hard way - fighting top teams, winning the gauntlet match - and tonight I think they've come for a fight, regardless of what Candice has up her sleeve."

The panel agrees with Matt as the show moves forward.

SAM ROBERTS
"Plenty of questions still swirling in the Women's Tag Team division and tonight we're hoping to have some answers. Up next, we'll turn our attention to a Cruiserweight Championship clash - a dangerous challenger, who has nothing to lose."

Following another commercial break, we cut to footage of Kushida's Cruiserweight title reign. Technical clinics, victories across multiple styles.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Since April, Kushida has redefined the NXT Cruiserweight Championship - conquering main roster Superstars, international standouts and hungry young lions, making the title a symbol of global excellence."

We see footage of Kushida defeating Mustafa Ali, Mansoor, Jordan Devlin, Alex Shelley, and Ari Sterling. Cut to footage of Nigel McGuinness referencing a mystery challenger for "The Time Splitter" on numerous occasions.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"But promises were made..."

Cut to this past week on NXT when the champion awaited his mystery opponent.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"And promises were delivered."

The footage then shows Tommaso Ciampa's violent return to NXT, revealing himself as Kushida's opponent and attacking him after a handshake fake-out.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"The Blackheart is back. And mercy is a luxury, Kushida can no longer afford."

We cut to black.

In a new scene, a feint glow appears in a darkened room. Tommaso Ciampa's face is lit by a single low bulb.

TOMMASO CIAMPA
"Kushida...you spent months chasing perfection. Beating challengers. Building your legacy. You thought that made you untouchable. You forgot the only rule that matters here: survival isn't about winning. It's about breaking the ones who already thought they have."

"Tonight, I won't take your title.
I'll take your pride.
and I'll leave you with nothing."

Ciampa smirks darkly - broken and proud - before the screen slams to black.

Cruiserweight.png

The camera returns to the panel desk. The mood is serious.

SAM ROBERTS
"Chilling words from a man who is not here for respect, instead Tommaso Ciampa appears to have returned for destruction. And Kushida may find himself fighting for far more than just his championship."

Matt Bloom speaks seriously.

MATT BLOOM
"Kushida's faced pressure before but Ciampa is bringing a whole new level of intensity. He's not trying to win - he's trying to break the champion."

Mauro Ranallo adds:

MAURO RANALLO
"Although tonight may be more about survival than speed, I will say, don't count out the heart of The Time Splitter. He has put many to sleep with that Hoverboard Lock."

Malcom Bivens chuckles to himself as he throws in a jab.

MALCOLM BIVENS
"You know, first Killian Dain snaps and pancakes Timothy Thatcher in the ring, now Ciampa seems to be starring in his own horror movie....who's doing the psychological evaluations around here, huh? Dr Stevie? Seriously - NXT is one more black-out away from needing group therapy."

The joke breaks the tension briefly as Sam brings discussion to a close.

SAM ROBERTS
"One thing's for certain, whether Kushida keeps his title tonight or not, he's going to leave High Steaks a very different man.

He then calmly turns his attention to the final bout on the card.

SAM ROBERTS
As brutal as that promises to be, there's another collision that promises a level of physicality unlike anything else in NXT. This one is not for the faint of heart. A reign of dominance. A challenger who simply refuses to break. Let's take a look at tonight's rematch for the NXT United Kingdom Championship."

We see WALTER standing tall with the NXT UK title on his shoulder, the camera zooms in slowly.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"For over two years, one name has ruled NXT UK without equal.
One man has turned challengers into victims.
One reign has become legend."

Cut to footage of "The Ring General" chopping opponents such as Joe Coffey, Dave Mastiff, and Tyler Bate to the mat, brutalising title contenders.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"The Ring General.
WALTER."

Ilja Dragunov staggers into frame - bloodied, breathing heavily from their first encounter on NXT UK.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Ilja Dragunov. The Unbeseigbar. The Mad Dragon who forced the champion to the very edge...before his body finally gave out."

We see footage of the referee stopping the match as Dragunov collapses. WALTER raising the title over his fallen opponent.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"But the challenger did not surrender. Tonight, The Mad Dragon rises again."

We cut to a training montage of both men preparing for battle.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"The longest reign in WWE today.
The fiercest heart NXT has ever known.
Only one survives at High Stakes."

We end of a final split shot. WALTER, cold and unmoved. Dragunov, standing defiantly.

UK.png

The panel comes back live following the brutal hype package. The atmosphere is heavy with anticipation. Sam Roberts puts over that tonight, WALTER's record-setting reign (over 850 days strong) will be tested like never before.

Matt Bloom says there will be no shortcuts in this match, it will be pure violence. Mauro agrees, his voice is low but passionate.

MAURO RANALLO
"The first time these two collided back in October last year - it wasn't a wrestling match. It was a survival test. Ilja Dragunov fought until his body literally shut down. Blood loss. Exhaustion. And yet somehow Dragunov has come back for more. Tonight, he gets his shot at redemption."

Maclolm Bivens shakes his head in disagreement.

MALCOLM BIVENS
"Redemption is a nice story but WALTER's a real monster. Dragunov can want it as bad as he wants but sometimes hunger gets you killed."

Sam nods, seeing both sides of the argument. He promotes the second Kick-Off match, Zoey Stark taking on Franky Monet in a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match.

He proceeds to hold his ear as he gets word in his ear. Looking up, Sam informs the panel that the challenger, Ilja Dragunov, is standing by with McKenzie Mitchell in an exclusive interview for some final words.

The camera quickly cuts backstage, where McKenzie stands ready with a microphone. She smiles professionally as she welcomes her guest - Ilja Dragunov. The crowd pop as he steps into frame, dressing his wrestling gear, focused but emotionally raw.

MCKENZIE MITCHELL
"Ilja, thanks to an agreement from NXT UK General Manager, Johnny Saint, and NXT General Manager, Nigel McGuinness, tonight you face WALTER once again here in Las Vegas, Nevada. How are you preparing differently this time?"

Ilja leans towards the microphone to answer, intensity in his eyes.

ILJA DRAGUNOV
"McKenzie, tonight I..."

When suddenly, from off-screen, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel rush in!

Imperium ambush Dragunov without warning and McKenzie flees, calling for help. Aichner blindsides Dragunov with a forearm, Barthel follows with knees to the ribs.

Dragunov fights back briefly, trying to fend the duo off - but the numbers are too much.

Aichner drives Dragunov shoulder-first into a steel equipment trunk. Barthel continues to stomp him down as he yells at him in German.

Security rushes in, prompting Imperium to fee, as the camera zooms in on Dragunov grimacing in pain, clutching at his shoulders and ribs. The camera lingers on the challenger, struggling to push himself up despite the beating.

The cameras quickly cut back to the panel desk, where the panellists are visibly reacting to what they've just witnessed on the monitors.

SAM ROBERTS
"An absolute despicable attack by Imperium, and just hours before Ilja Dragunov is set to to challenge for the NXT UK Championship."

Matt Bloom shakes his head in disgust.

MATT BLOOM
"Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel just tried to take Dragunov out of the fight before it's even begun. And with the kind of damage we just saw - the ribs, the shoulder - Dragunov might not even make it to the bell."

Mauro Ranallo's voice rises with emotion.

MAURO RANALLO
"This was a calulacted, surgical ambush. WALTER's not taking chances tonight, and Ilja's dream of redemption may have been crushed before the first strike is even thrown."

Ever the contrarian...

MALCOLM BIVENS
"High Stakes, Mauro. Sometimes you win, sometimes you get wiped off the board before the cards are even dealt."

Sam tried to steady the tone.

SAM ROBERTS
"We will hope to update you on Ilja Dragunov's status as TakeOver continues. We are now edging ever closer to the event itself as 800-strong crowd are nearly in their seats. Before High Stakes kicks into gear, we still have one more match on the Kick-Off show - and it's a homecoming battle for Zoey Stark, who agreed to a match with the ruthless Franky Monet under the condition that the match would be decided via roulette. Anything goes! Fate will decide the rules."

The cameras pull slightly wider as the panel prepares to send things down to the ring,

SAM ROBERTS
"Gentlemen, thank you for your time tonight. This is it! One last roll of the dice before NXT TakeOver: High Stakes officially gets underway."

We cut to Alicia Taylor in the ring, ready to introduce the final Kick-Off match of the evening, as we pan to the roulette wheel set up at the side of the entrance ramp.

The crowd buzzes in excitement as the camera pans across the vibrant set. Kevin Patrick and Wade Barrett welcome the viewers back.

Kevin notes that this match is personal between these two competitors, with Barrett adding that tensions have been bubbling for months, ever since Zoey Stark and Sarray embarrassed Aliyah and Jessi Kamea back in June. Franky Monet didn't forget it - she kicked Robert Stone to the curb, taking over and repacking The Robert Stone Brand into 'The Brand', making it her mission to make Zoey Stark's life a misery.

Kevin adds that it all came to a head in the VIP lounge on NXT Evolve when Monet invited Stark to 'sit with her' - only to challenge her to a match instead. Being the fighter she is, Zoey agreed but only if they spun the wheel and left everything to fate tonight here in her hometown of Las Vegas.

Franky's music hits as she struts onto the stage in full Vegas showgirl attire: feathers, sequins, dazzling rhinestones - completely over the top. Even her haters, seems to be impressed.

Jessi Kamea and Aliyah accompany her, rolling their eyes at the crowd, who are still seated behind protective Plexiglas.

Kevin Patrick applauds the effort made by Monet but points out that Jessi and Aliyah are banned from ringside. Barrett says that they're simply here to make sure Franky arrives to the match safely.

Franky revels in the moment as her entourage open the ring ropes got her. She strikes a pose, which draws heat from the crowd, before Aliyah and Jessi assist her with remove the headgear and other accessories deemed unsuitable for wrestling in.

At this point, Darryl Sharma firmly instructs Aliyah and Jessi to head to the back, enforcing the agreed rules that they couldn't be at ringside. Aliyah stomps her feet as Jessi looks to Franky, hoping to appeal the decision. Sharma points the back as the crowd pop to see the duo leave. Interestingly, Franky doesn't look too unnerved.

The crowd comes alive as Zoey Stark's music hits! There's a big pop from the hometown Las Vegas crowd as Stark marches out, fired up and laser-focused, banging on the Plexiglas to rally the crowd behind her as she passes Aliyah and Jessi, who continue to sulk over their removal from the match, despite it being previously agreed.

KEVIN PATRICK
"Hometown pride on the line - and Zoey Stark would love nothing more than to send Franky Monet packing tonight."

Zoey climbs the turnbuckles, soaking in the reaction before jumping down and staring daggers across the ring at her opponent.

Referee, Darryl Sharma signals toward the stage. A production assistant spins the giant colourful wheel featuring a number of intriguing options such as a Snake Eyes Submission Match, Parking Lot Brawl and even a Tables match!

The wheel clicks loudly as it spins faster and faster before slowing.

Click.
Click.
Click.

And finally it lands on...

VIVA LAS VIOLENCE MATCH!

It's official! It's a Viva Las Violence match - anything goes! Except for the previously agreed banning on outside interference.

Franky looks horrified and starts to clutch at her face - her Monet-maker, so to speak. Alicia Taylor proceeds to explain the rules as the crowd cheer Zoey on.

VIVA LAS VIOLENCE MATCH:
AS DETERMINED BY ROULETTE WHEEL
ZOEY STARK vs. FRANKY MONET
Pre-Show-2.png

Zoey charges immediately overwhelming Franky Monet with a series of stinging forearms, driving her into the corner. She backs up, nailing a running knee strike right into Franky's jaw as feathers from Monet's costumes begin to scatter across the mat.

"The Premier Blonde" scrambles to the outside to escape coming to face-to-face with a fan in the crowd as she irrationally acts as if she has no escape. Meanwhile Zoey launches herself through the ropes with a picture perfect tope-suicida, sending Monet crashing into the barricade!

The crowd roars in support as Patrick puts over the Las Vegas crowd, commenting that "Super Stark" is firing from all cyclinders in the early stages of the match.

Stark drags Monet to her feet, whipping her hard into the apron before ducking under the ring and pulling out a kendo stick, drawing an even bigger prop from the Vegas crowd!

Patrick remarks that the last time Stark had a kendo stick in hand, she drove Jessi and Aliyah out of the Capitol Peformance Center, which was then followed by Franky Monet's first ever loss on NXT television. Barrett jokes that Franky might be wishing she'd packed more feathers for protection as Stark cracks Monet across the back with a vicious kendo shot.

Franky cries out in agony, trying to get back into the ring, only for Stark to blaster her across the shoulders with another brutal strike!

The crowd chants for Stark as she lines up for a third swing - but Monet ducks under the attempt and rakes her opponents eyes (which is totally legal under Viva Las Violence rules!). Monet trips Stark into the ropes as she begins to turn the tables in her favour.

Regaining her composure, Monet charges with a German Suplex on Starks as she slides through Zoey's legs to the outside. Grabbing at the ankles of her opponent and dragging her out the ring, she the proceeds to charge Zoey spine-first against the ring post.

"Mean Girl" Monet grins viciously as she digs under the ring and pulls out a steel chair. We're reminded that there are no count-outs as Franky rolls back in the ring to set the chair and wedges it in the corner of the ring. Stark slowly returns to the ring, only for Monet to give her a 'helping hand' by grabbing a fistful of hair and tossing her into the corner. Monet looks around the Las Vegas crowd, telling them to watch what she's about to do to their hero as she delivers a crushing Meteora double knee smash, driving the back of Zoey's head against the chair.

COVER...

1...
2...
But Super Stark kicks out! Much to the relief of the crowd.

Franky gets increasingly frustrated as she removes one of her velvet arm-length gloves and begins to bite on it in anger.

She quickly ducks under the ring and fishes out a bag. The crowd think they know what is is, only for Franky to scatter poker chips from the bag on the mat. Returning to her opponent, she teases a powerbomb onto the chips in the centre of the ring but Stark counters, back-body dropping Monet onto the chips instead!

Both women get to their feet - Zoey attempts a Z-360 but Franky ducks under, running the ropes and delivers a roaring SPEAR!

The fans gasp as Zoey writes in pain. Franky grabs the steel chair from the corner and sets it upright in the middle of the ring. What is she going for here?

Franky looks to end her rival with a Glam Slam face-first onto the steel chair!

But Stark fights free with a flurry of elbow strikes to Monet, before she has a chance to lift her.

Stark proceeds to duck a clotheslines, allowing her to grab her trusty kendo stick and continue to unleash rapid-fire shots across Monet's back and ribs until finally, the stick breaks.

The crowd roar as Stark screams out, rallying with adrenaline.

With Monet reeling, Zoey sets up - hooks her under the chin...

AND BLASTS HER WITH A Z-360 FLIPPING KNEE STRIKE!

Zoey dives onto the diver:

1
...

2
...

NO!

The crowd in Sam's Town gasp, they thought that was it!

Stark drags herself up, rallying the crowd, but Monet, desperate, catches Zoey around the waist and rams her into the corner. The two women collapse, gasping for breath.

Both women are now on their knees as they trade chops and strikes with one another, both egging the other on. Zoey goes for a superkick but Monet catches the ankle and uses her strength to drag her into position....

GLAM SLAM ONTO THE STEEL CHAIR!

"RIGHT ONTO THE STEEL! RIGHT ONTO THE CHAIR! Zoey Stark might be seriously hurt here." cries Kevin Patrick

Monet covers, this time hooking both legs for the three count.

Heavy boos rain down from the Sam's Town crowd as Sharma immediately checks on Zoey Stark. Franky Money sits up laughing, holding her arms high - mocking the audience with an exaggerated showgirl curtsy. She kicks the poker chips across the ring as she poses.

WADE BARRETT
"Super Stark fought with everything she had but there was no chance she was ever getting up from that Brutal Glam Slam"

Monet wipes her fluffy boots clean on the mat next to where Stark is laying as the boos continue.

KEVIN PATRICK
"Oh come on! That's classless! Franky Money showing zero respect for the effort Zoey Stark gave tonight."

Barrett coldly responds.

WADE BARRETT
"This is Franky Monet's world now, Kevin - and she's made it crystal clear."

Franky leans towards the camera, smirking arrogantly as she says this is HER division now and everyone better get used to it. Her music continues to play loudly as she basks in the moment, soaking up the heat.

As Monet leaves up the ramp, the focus slowly shifts back to Zoey.

Stark pushes herself back up to a seated position, wincing in pain. The camera zooms closer - revealing blood trickling from her nose, an unmissable symbol of the battle she just fought.

The crowd begins to rise in applause, chanting softly for her at first, then louder.

"ZOEY! ZOEY! ZOEY!"

With help from the ropes, Stark gets to her feet, bloodied but defiant. She tearfully raises one fist to the crowd, acknowledging them through the pain. Barrett says she might not have won tonight, but she's earned the respect of her hometown. Zoey Stark exits the ring under her own power, limping but upright, heading up the aisle to cheers.

For one last time we re-join Sam Roberts, to close the show.

SAM ROBERTS
"What a match! And what a night it's already been. We've seen resilience. We've seen ruthlessness. But now, the time for talk is over. NXT has taken over Las Vegas, and the stakes are high!...

NXT [EPISODE #470] Review:

- Nice introduction to the go-home show which is absolutely STACKED!

- Good opening match and Grimes strikes it lucky with the victory! To the Moon, and to High Stakes Bay-Bay!

- I liked the promo from Thatcher - told the story that he wants to fight and get some revenge on big Killian Dain! Banger incoming with those two, can imagine it being a brawl.

- Good job highlighting KUSHIDA's reign as Cruiserweight Champion and when you see the competitors and the 125 days laid out like that that - really impressive! Ciampa! And he looks like he's back as the Black heart of sorts with the attitude which is great. Heel Ciampa back on NXT just feels like a good fit.

Message sent by the now challenger to the champion!

- Really interesting angle with Dakota and the story that's developing since being blinded. Shotzi & Tegan are not convinced, and I'm not sure I am either haha! Is there a darkness developing? Intrigued.

- Speaking of not being convinced - quite the revelation from Candice Haha! I can't actually remember if she was pregnant around this time in IRL but I think she was? Adding it into the angle is fun though.

- Good promo from Storm & Sarray. Good booking to have the exchange this way with image of the subtitles and Sarray being more believable speaking in her native tongue. I really like the way Toni came across here - classic cocky heel.

- Great segment that just followed with first some "house-keeping" from Nigel and then the announce that Dragunov will be the man to challenge WALTER for the NXT United Kingdom Championship! Have to admit, small part of me wanted it to be someone different but I know you're making sure NXT UK is acknowledge and remains alive in the Universe so this makes complete sense and I'm totally on board with the booking. Huge match added for High Stakes.

- Cool segment with O'Reilly & Balor - the little reference to Adam Cole and Kyle making him disappear was nice.

- HIITTTT RROOOOWWWWWW! Man, I really liked NXT Hit Row. Another good match here and Swerve picks up the victory for his group

- Like the Kyle & Balor segment previously, this one was shorter but equally good and served it's purpose of building towards the match to come tonight which I can see ending in chaos already haha

- Kind of expected with Storm being heel but her stealing the victory was nicely done. No harm done to Sarray either who will bounce back I'm sure. Storm telling Raquel that she will be asking Kai to guide her around popped me haha

- The Way proving that family is indeed completed :D

- Such a star-studded match and really just shows how stacked NXT is here! Of course it unravelled though and ended in chaos but at least Cameron Grimes is having a good time haha Can't wait for this match at High Stakes!

- Loving the Legado segments and this was another good one! Super intrigued, man!

- OOooo, can feel the tension between Knight & Reed - I say it every time, but I can't wait to see which way this goes and who is walking out with all the gold. Knight referring to himself as the Mega Champion seems like such a good fit I cant lie.

Man, I can't wait for High Stakes! Most excited I've been to read a BTB show in years, honestly.

NXT EVOLVE [EPISODE #08] Review:

- Nice rundown with the intro once again on this show, and I like how attention was on High Stakes as well as the show to come from Evolve and it feeling like, that's the now - but tonight maybe we see the future! Again, I think you've got the balance nice with the previous additions of the show so I'm sure this will continue here.

- Tension from Ruff but again seeing Carmelo Hayes here, so early in his WWE/NXT career and it shows how good the future is looking for NXT and the > Universe

- Nice promo exchange from Kemp & Briggs with the theme that both are looking to take the oppertunity and prove themselves, I like this and it fits the theme of Evolve for sure - especially ahead of High States going back to the show introduction of the future being here on Evolve! Good win for Briggs despite a good showing from Kemp. I think Briggs needed the win more here after defeats previously so made total sense.

- Ruas vs Strong could be very interesting! Diamond Mine, you say? Hmmm.

- A2Z and now La Vision? Love those names Haha! Said it a million times but your strength is definitely using people that have not really had that exposure or shine. Also building some Women's tag teams which is awesome. Good job!

- Maverick & Ikeman Jiro is such a fun lovable team. Sadly, being loveable does not pay the bills and it's the Untouchables that pick up the victory! Nice exposure for them.

- I agree with Bivens! The division is COOKING!

- “Just make sure they’ve got a bed waiting for you when it’s over.” - Love that line Dain! Like I said in the NXT review, this is just going to be a slugfest between the two

- Kona with the plan and it's bad news for Leon who must be feeling Ruff after that attack.. Sorry lol Carmelo evening the odds and making the save to return the favour - I like it!

- I enjoyed the segment with the Brand and what you're doing with Franky! Never really got a fair shake during her time in NXT so again using Evolve to really give her and the group a platform is great. Zoey accepts and the match is on!

- Main Event time! Ever-Rise embracing the antics of Bivens was a nice theme to end the match and they pick up a huge victory over Breezango! I have to say, I thought for sure Bivens perhaps had another team up his sleeve and was going to be knocked back by Parker and Martel once more

Another nice edition of Evolve which again serves the purpose of continuing some stories and bridging the gap with NXT but also being a platform to showcase some new people and the potential future of the company.

Good job man! All roads lead to Sin City now, and up next.. HIGH STAKES! LFGOOOOOOOOOO!

Wow! I can't believe we are actually here. Big well done on persevering with this BTB and getting to this point which I know was really important for you. I think since coming back, You have done such a good job of getting back into the frame of mind for this era of NXT and of course the storylines you was running with - well done!

NXT TAKEOVER: HIGH STAKES [KICK-OFF SHOW] REVIEW:

- Nice opening with the gamble/Vegas themed lines to set the stage. Matt Bloom with a rare appearance as well, cool.

- Love the effort you have gone to with having the narrator and highlighting the feuds and matches to come on the show. This one was of course for the Main Event where the stakes are the highest and it sold the match really well.

- Well it's time for the first match of the evening! Well it was everything I expected it to be, and hoped it would be - an absolute brawl and big Dain comes out looking like the BEAST he is! love the reference to Thatcher signing a medical waiver as well. Good opening to the KO show but I can't see this being the last time Dain & Thatcher square up!

- LOL! That gambling segment with Tony was great. Really enjoyed that. Good way to introduce him and also a nice way to have some other people on the card.

- Next VO and it's the for the Lucky 7 match which I just love everything about - really creative. I noticed it on the news post but I really dig that you've got the briefcases following card suits. Again, creative. Match is LOADED as well - can't actually call it.

- Oooo, nice little bonus segment with Kai & Mercedes adding some tension and intrigue to the title match later - Dakota is seemingly cracking up and I like all of this so far - good job!

- Not to much more I can say on the voiceover segments and the panel discussing the matches to come but I really like it and appreciate the effort you have gone too with this - really adds to the presentation of the show!

- VIVA LAS VIOLENCE! LFG! :D Really valiant effort from Zoey but I'm glad Franky won who I think has more upside in your era of NXT with how she's being presented with the Brand. Fun match!

Nice kick-off show to wet the appetite! Cannot wait for the Main Event now :)

I've been enjoying this BTB for the longest of times so just wanted to pop in and give the kick off show some love. The detailed yet not boring commentary analysis and conversation, as well as some well crafted video packages that weren't to long. This might be the most enjoyable kick off show in terms of realism and not overdoing it that I've read in BTB. Enjoyed this.

I think mission accomplished with making Dain look like a monster. Obviously not much of a match, but that doesn't seem like it was the plan anyway.

I'm not a big fan of not having the match result not written at the bottom of the match. I know it's a really small thing, but from a formatting perspective, it just bothers me as a reader. I know you've gone with a different color for matches so it's still relatively clear, but still. Think it might also be because I'm a stickler for match times and we aren't getting those here.

Thumbs up for the creative way of debuting D'Angelo sticking with the High Stakes team. I also think this cleverly puts him over by not backing down from Lannister. Good stuff.

Dakota Kai/Martinez interaction was fine here as well. One of the things I'm most looking forward to is where Kai goes as she regains her vision.

The Everrise/Bivens stuff is also really intriguing. Only a small segment here but feels like a natural reaction for them to be pissed with Bivens interfering on their behalf. Expecting to see plenty more from this in the coming weeks.

The juries out on Dragunov being attacked by Imperium. Will need to wait and see what you do on the main show, but with Thatcher already playing the role of 'wrestler showing up injured to compete', I don't think we need to see that twice on the same night.

And I'm glad Monet went over. Stark has no redeeming qualities. Right decision and good use of the stipulation throughout.

I repeat as a kick off show, this was very, very good. Can't wait for High Stakes itself.

NXT TAKEOVER: HIGH STAKES SUNDAY 22 AUGUST, 2022
SAM'S TOWN HOTEL & GAMBLING HALL ‣ LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

BLACK SCREEN. Faint casino ambience — distant clinking glasses, a roulette wheel spinning. One card floats into view: gold-edged, glowing. A single word pulses on it: “LUCK.”

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Las Vegas. A city built on chance… where dreams are made — and broken — at the roll of a dice."

The Strip comes alive in hyper lapse: neon floods the screen, slot machines flash, and crowds pulse under the desert night sky. A roulette wheel spins in slow motion. A chip clacks down hard onto the table.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"And tonight, in a town that lives for risk… NXT lays it all on the table."

Cut to: Bronson Reed, drenched in sweat, standing tall in the ring with both the NXT and North American Championships slung over his shoulders. The crowd chants echo beneath the narration.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Champions walk in with power… but power doesn’t come without pressure."

The lights shift. In a silent ring, WALTER looms beneath a single spotlight. The faint echo of his voice cuts through: “I want a challenge.” Then: Ilja Dragunov, breathing heavily, stepping into frame — unflinching.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"For some, it’s about proving you're more than dominant. For others… it’s about surviving what comes next."

Cut: Footage from NXT — the crowd gasps as Tommaso Ciampa reveals himself as Kushida’s mystery opponent. Moments later, Ciampa brutalizes the Cruiserweight Champion with no remorse.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"When opportunity knocks… not everyone walks through the door with honour."

A long table. Chairs flipped. Paper flying. Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell go head-to-head with Shotzi and Tegan Nox in a brawl during their contract signing. Candice LeRae lingers in the background — calm, calculating.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Some rivalries are built in rings. Others... are sealed in chaos."

The briefcases appear: one at a time, glowing under casino lights — King of Hearts, Ace of Spades, Joker. Ladder rungs clang as Cameron Grimes stands tall after a chaotic six-man ladder preview, clutching the top rope, his chest heaving.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"And then there are the gamblers. Those who climb, not knowing what they’ll find at the top. Three briefcases. Three fates. And not every card drawn leads to glory."

Pete Dunne cracks his knuckles with dead-eyed focus. Kyle O’Reilly looks skyward from halfway up a ladder, sweat dripping, mouth curled in a grin. Grimes stares at the briefcases like he sees his future in them — or his end.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"At High Stakes, the reward is real… and the risks are irreversible."

SFX SHIFT — a car engine revs. LA Knight peels off into the distance outside the PC as Bronson Reed storms after him. Cut to the heated press conference — Knight smug behind his mic, Reed held back by security as the crowd watches the chaos unfold.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"For some, it’s personal. For others, it’s inevitable."

Flash montage builds toward crescendo:
MSK
flipping into frame with the Tag Titles
WALTER and Dragunov, nose-to-nose
Raquel González hoisting her Women’s Championship high
Close-up on all three briefcases snapping shut
Reed at the top rope, lit in gold, his name shouted by the crowd.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.):
"And now… brought to you by Applebee’s… NXT proudly presents:"

“TAKEOVER: HIGH STAKES”

The screen explodes in gold particles and neon flare. Playing cards ripple outward. The TakeOver: High Stakes logo pulses in red and gold as pyro erupts inside Sam’s Town Live. The crowd comes into full view - deafening, wild.

VIC JOSEPH

“Ladies and gentlemen… the wait is over. For the first time in over a year, NXT is live in front of a crowd for a Premium Live Event, and we are coming to you from the fight capital of the world. Welcome to Las Vegas. Welcome to Sam’s Town. And welcome… to NXT TakeOver: High Stakes!”

WADE BARRETT
“Oh, it’s good to be back, Vic. And what a weekend it’s been — the world is still buzzing after last night’s unforgettable SummerSlam, but tonight the spotlight is firmly on NXT. Seven matches, all with something to prove… and the crowd here is ready for it all.”

VIC JOSEPH
“But we have to start tonight on an uncertain note — just moments ago, during the High Stakes Kick-Off Show, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel launched a vicious ambush on Ilja Dragunov backstage. Officials have not confirmed whether Ilja will be cleared to compete against WALTER later tonight - but if he does, he’ll be going in already compromised.”

WADE BARRETT
“And let’s be honest, you don’t walk into a match with WALTER at anything less than 100 percent. Dragunov may have heart, but Imperium are playing chess while everyone else is swinging wild.”

VIC JOSEPH
“That’s just one of the seven high-stakes matchups we’ll witness tonight. Championships on the line, career momentum hanging in the balance — and in the Lucky 7 Ladder Match, three briefcases that could launch - or end - a future.”

WADE BARRETT
“The atmosphere is different, Vic. The crowd is back. The lights are bright. And in NXT… when the stakes are high, only the best survive.”

VIC JOSEPH
“And then there’s our main event, Bronson Reed, the NXT Champion and North American Champion, puts both of those titles on the line against LA Knight’s Million Dollar Championship. Three titles. Two men. One winner takes all.”

WADE BARRETT
“It’s the kind of night where you don’t just win — you survive. The lights are bright. The stakes are high. And the NXT roster is about to go all in.”

VIC JOSEPH
“Let’s not waste another second - TakeOver: High Stakes starts right now!

A match graphic appears briefly showing the NXT Tag Team Champions MSK, who tonight defend their titles against Hit Row, as well as Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis of The Way. We then cut ack to to the live arena.

VIC JOSEPH
"And what better way to kick off TakeOver: High Stakes than with the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line, MSK defending against not one, but two top-tier challengers in Hit Row and The Way.”

WADE BARRETT
“MSK have had a target on their backs for months, Vic, and tonight, the wolves are closing in. No champions’ advantage, no breathing room. This is going to be fast, furious, and absolutely ruthless.”

“HIT ROWWWWW!”

Vic’s response is cut off by the explosive opening of Hit Row’s music. The crowd reacts instantly as the lights dim to gold and red. The bass rattles the arena. On the stage, a black luxury car pulls into view under pulsing strobes that mimic casino lights.

The front driver’s door swings open. Top Dolla steps out, draped in a long fur coat, gold grill flashing as he stares down the ramp. He moves slowly, deliberately confident.

On the passenger side, B-Fab steps out in heels and a glittered jacket, followed by Ashante Adonis, who struts around the vehicle in designer shades, jacket hanging from his shoulder, arms wide as he hypes up the crowd.

Finally, the back door opens. Swerve Scott steps out with a smirk, gold-accented gear glinting under the spotlight. He casually tosses a pair of casino dice down the ramp before slowly adjusting his sunglasses.

VIC JOSEPH
“Hit Row arriving like high rollers here in Las Vegas for their very first TakeOver. And they’ve just set the tone.”

WADE BARRETT
“You don’t walk into Vegas quietly, Vic - you make them look. You make them listen. And this? This is star power. This is Hit Row showing the world they’re not here to chase gold — they’re here to claim it.”

Top Dolla and Swerve lead the walk to the ring. Ashante and B-Fab follow behind, shouting “Hit Row!” on beat with the music. The crowd echoes it back as the group reaches the ring steps.

Swerve slides into the ring and leans against the ropes with a relaxed confidence. Top Dolla paces behind him, eyes on the entranceway. Ashante and B-Fab remain ringside, smiling like they know something no one else does.

VIC JOSEPH
“Well, I guess that answers that. We didn’t know which formation of Hit Row we’d see tonight, but it’s official: Top Dolla and Swerve will represent in this match.”

WADE BARRETT
“And that’s a masterstroke, Vic. Keep your opponents guessing right up to the bell. Top Dolla brings the power, Swerve brings the precision — and with the full entourage at ringside, this could turn into a four-on-two-on-two situation very quickly.”

Swerve stares down the ring with cold intensity. Top Dolla raises his fist as Ashante and B-Fab shout “HIT ROW!” in rhythm with the crowd. The energy is live, unpredictable.

The, the lights in the arena steady. The music fades from Hit Row’s brash swagger into a tense moment of anticipation. The crowd, already buzzing, leans forward.

Rebel Heart hits and the energy spikes again.

Johnny Gargano steps through the curtain, arms wide, soaking in the live crowd. He’s wearing custom Vegas-inspired gear with metallic trim, smiling from ear to ear. This is the stage he lives for - TakeOver, with the fans finally back.

Trailing just behind him is Dexter Lumis, moving with slow, deliberate steps. He doesn’t acknowledge the crowd, the lights, or the noise. His focus is total.

VIC JOSEPH
“The NXT Universe welcoming Johnny Gargano back to the TakeOver stage and listen to this crowd, Wade. That’s not just noise… that’s appreciation.”

WADE BARRETT
“He’s earned it. The first-ever Triple Crown winner in NXT history — and tonight, he’s hoping to add tag team gold to his résumé alongside, well… the most unsettling man on the roster.”

As Gargano walks the ramp, a new chant builds.

“YOU’RE THE DADDY!”

VIC JOSEPH
“And of course, we all saw the unexpected announcement earlier this week — Johnny and Candice LeRae are expecting their first child. It’s a big night for The Way: Candice’s pregnancy puts her Women’s Tag Title defence in doubt, and Austin Theory will be part of the historic Lucky 7 Ladder Match later tonight. There’s a lot going on around Johnny Gargano — personally and professionally — but if there’s one thing he’s proven over and over again, it’s that he thrives under pressure.”

As the crowd continues to chant, Gargano opens his jacket just enough to reveal a discreet embroidered patch near his chest. It reads simply: “Coming Soon”, stitched in silver thread. The crowd catches it - and pops again.

In the ring, Lumis positions himself in the corner, unmoving, eyes fixed on the stage. Gargano hops onto the middle turnbuckle, soaking in the atmosphere, mouthing a soft “thank you” to the fans before dropping down to join his partner. Gargano looks across to Swerve Scott, who stares a hole in him from the other side of the ring.

WADE BARRETT

“Odd couple? Sure. But that’s what makes them dangerous. Johnny’s the heart, Lumis is the hammer, and together, they could shock everyone tonight."

A short pause as the camera sweeps the ring, Hit Row in one corner, The Way in the other, the crowd buzzing, anticipation building…

The arena erupts as the champions burst through the curtain, full of energy and excitement. Wes Lee throws his arms up to hype the crowd, while Nash Carter points directly to the tag belts strapped around their waists.

Colourful lights strobe across the entranceway, and the crowd sings along with the music as the duo sprints to the ring.

VIC JOSEPH
“And here come the champs! MSK — undefeated as tag champions, twelve wins to just two losses since arriving in NXT at the start of the year — and finally defending the gold in front of a live TakeOver crowd.”

WADE BARRETT

“They’ve been waiting for this moment, Vic. MSK are built for this kind of stage - high speed, high impact, and tonight, high stakes.”

Instead of slapping hands, they move toward the ring gesturing to the crowd behind the plexiglass, pointing, fist-bumping the air, and bouncing in rhythm. Fans bang on the glass as they pass, creating a wall of noise that surrounds them.

Wes Lee slides into the ring while Nash Carter hops onto the apron and vaults over the ropes. They each ascend the turnbuckles, hoisting the tag titles high — the live crowd roaring in appreciation despite the distance.

VIC JOSEPH
“Three teams. One fall. And for MSK, this is their chance to prove that the energy, the chemistry, and the record mean something in the biggest moments.”

WADE BARRETT

“They’re the favourites, Vic, but triple threat rules mean one slip, and the titles could be gone in an instant.”

With the crowd swelling behind them, Wes Lee and Nash Carter raise their NXT Tag Team Championship belts high — not just to show them off, but to send a message. One team stands in the centre of the ring. Two others stay in the corners, watching. It’s not arrogance - it’s ownership. This is their division.

After a long moment, they hand the titles to referee
D.A. Brewer, who lifts them overhead for the official presentation.
As the crowd buzzes with anticipation, Brewer holds the NXT Tag Team Championship belts high before handing them off to ringside. The teams settle into their corners.

Alicia Taylor steps forward to deliver the formal championship introductions, each team acknowledged one by one to strong reactions from the crowd.

During the announcements, a moment of quiet intensity passes between the competitors. MSK, Hit Row, and The Way each take a step forward, eyes locked from across the ring, nods exchanged. Not respect, exactly… but recognition. Each team knows what’s at stake.

The crowd builds as Alicia exits the ring.

Brewer checks with all three corners, then calls for the bell.

Men-s-Tag-Team.png

The bell rings to an electric Las Vegas crowd, the energy pulsating throughout the arena as referee D.A. Brewer holds up the NXT Tag Team Championships. All three teams stand ready in their corners, their eyes locked on the prize.

Johnny Gargano and Swerve Scott open the match with a fast-paced technical exchange. Swerve gains the early upper hand with a deep arm drag and a dropkick to the knee, followed by a basement flatliner. He covers...

ONE!

Gargano kicks out. Gargano rolls away with a smirk, clapping sarcastically and urging Swerve to come at him again. The two tie up once more, but this time Gargano transitions into a side headlock and then a headscissors. Swerve counters with a kip-up escape and stuns Gargano with a leaping uppercut. Dexter Lumis tags in off Gargano.

Lumis and Swerve lock eyes. Swerve tries a low kick—Lumis doesn’t even blink. A second strike attempt sees Lumis catch him, hoisting Swerve up and planting him with a spinebuster. Lumis teases Silence, looming behind Swerve like a shadow, but Swerve elbows his way free and scrambles to tag in Top Dolla.

The big men square off to a strong crowd reaction. Lumis throws the first forearm. Top Dolla answers with one of his own. They trade heavy shots until Top Dolla takes control with a spinning sidewalk slam. He hits the ropes...

VIC JOSEPH
“That’s nearly 350 pounds coming at you full speed!”

...But is intercepted by a springboard knee strike from Nash Carter, who blind-tagged in. Wes Lee quickly tags in behind him and MSK go to work: Lee hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors followed by a Carter-assisted standing shooting star press - HOT FIRE FLAME. Lee covers—

ONE

...

TWO!

...

Top Dolla powers out.

As Top Dolla rolls to the outside to recover, MSK take flight. Lee launches himself with a tope con hilo while Carter follows with a corkscrew plancha. On the other side, The Way seize the moment—Gargano dives onto the pile with a suicide dive, and Lumis adds a running cannonball senton off the apron. The fans explode for the sequence.

Ashante Adonis rushes to check on Top Dolla, but is caught in the crossfire when Lee rebounds off the ropes and launches a springboard dropkick toward an incoming Swerve. The trajectory clips Adonis and sends him crashing into the barricade. The contact is clearly incidental, but it takes him out of commission.

Back in the ring, Swerve regains control, targeting Carter with pinpoint strikes. He hits a rolling thunder flatliner and then nails a deadlift German suplex. He bridges...

ONE!

TWO!

Carter kicks out. Swerve tags in Top Dolla. Together, they execute a tandem attack—Top Dolla holds Carter in a fireman’s carry while Swerve springboards in with a flying European uppercut. It’s a brutal hit, but Lee dives in just in time to break the count.

Lumis returns, ambushing Top Dolla with a uranage. He wastes no time, locking in Silence (Kata Gatame) deep in the center of the ring. The crowd rises in anticipation as Top Dolla thrashes and gasps, trying to fight free. His arms begin to droop. Brewer checks for a response but just as it looks like a submission victory might be imminent, Swerve springboards in from the apron and crushes Lumis with House Call to break the hold at the last possible second! The delay between hold and counter builds the drama, and Swerve’s save gets a huge reaction.

Carter staggers in and drops Swerve with a rebound enziguri. Gargano tags in and nails Carter with a slingshot spear. Lee suddenly reappears with a missile dropkick to take out Gargano.

Lumis tries to intercept Lee but is dumped over the top rope by Carter. With Lumis and Gargano both out of the ring, Swerve attempts to climb the turnbuckles—but Carter shoves him off, sending him crashing into Ashante Adonis at ringside while B-Fab looks on in horror.

Top Dolla, dazed and alone, swings wildly at Lee but is met with a superkick. Lee slingshots him forward into Carter, who drives both knees into Dolla’s chest. The crowd erupts.

VIC JOSEPH
“MSK with a devastating move—right to the heart of the big man!”

Lee dives into the cover—

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Winners: MSK via pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships (15:48)

WADE BARRETT
“What a statement from MSK! In a division this hot, they just proved they’re still the team to beat!”

As their music hits, Lee and Carter celebrate in the ring, exhausted but triumphant. Swerve pounds the mat in frustration, having missed the crucial moment. Gargano and Lumis regroup on the outside, disappointed.

Thensuddenly—the lights flicker.

The titantron turns stark white, pulsing with static. One by one, familiar figures emerge:

First Joaquin Wilde,
Then Raul Mendoza,
And finally Santos Escobar,

Each in tailored suits as they command the stage with unshakable presence. The crowd buzzes with unease.

But then, the screen fades to black.

A silhouette appears, broad-shouldered, unmoving. The camera cuts back to ringside as Escobar points up toward the mezzanine level.

There, under a lone spotlight, sits a sharply dressed man in a crimson shirt and black suit jacket. He slowly brings a cigar to his lips and begins to applaud, eyes fixed on MSK.

VIC JOSEPH
“Wait a minute... who is that?”

MSK remain in the ring, clutching their titles, their celebration halted by the looming presence above. The intent is clear: Legado del Fantasma isn’t just back, they’ve returned from self-imposed exile in Mexico, realigned and more dangerous than ever.

Rumours had swirled that they were seeking out something... or someone. And now it’s clear—they’ve aligned themselves with a man known in whispers as the Gatekeeper of the Temple. El Gran Jefe.

There’s a moment of stunned silence.

VIC JOSEPH
“That’s... that’s him, isn’t it? That’s who they found in Mexico.”

WADE BARRETT
“If I didn’t know better, Vic, I’d say we were looking at a ghost. But I know that face from the wrestling world... and if it’s who I think it is, MSK aren’t just dealing with Legado anymore. They’re dealing with something much, much bigger.”

VIC JOSEPH
“What does this mean for MSK—and for NXT?”

WADE BARRETT
“After weeks of cryptic messages and whispers about their time in Mexico, the fog has finally lifted. Legado del Fantasma have returned with a force backing them - one known only as El Gran Jefe. And if that ominous applause is anything to go by, his presence here tonight… just changed the entire landscape of NXT.”

MSK exchange a silent glance, still holding their titles, but it’s clear the weight of the moment has landed. The celebration has turned to tension. The future? Suddenly uncertain.

VIC JOSEPH

“What a way to kick off High Stakes! MSK retaining the NXT Tag Team Titles, but the celebration short-lived after that chilling moment from Legado del Fantasma… and the man they call El Gran Jefe.

WADE BARRETT
“That wasn’t just a statement, that was a warning. MSK might still be champions, but the game has changed.”

VIC JOSEPH
“And this weekend has already shaken the foundations of WWE. Just 24 hours ago at a sold-out SummerSlam.”

(A quick cutaway montage rolls showing fast clips from SummerSlam — pyro, crowd shots, title changes — without specific spoilers. The highlight reel ends with a graphic: WWE Superstar Shake-Up Coming Soon: Raw × SmackDown.)

VIC JOSEPH

“And we’ve just learned that as the Superstar Shake-up returns to Raw and SmackDown, NXT will be represented.”

WADE BARRETT
“NXT and even NXT UK talent will be eligible to be drafted to the main roster. But to be clear - we won’t be receiving anyone back. No safety net, no trades - just opportunity.”

VIC JOSEPH
“Speaking of leadership, let’s head backstage to hear from NXT General Manager Nigel McGuinness.”

The feed transitions to the backstage area, where Nigel McGuinness stands tall in front of the NXT High Stakes backdrop. The buzz of the crowd filters in from the arena, but the focus remains locked on Nigel, calm, confident, but visibly fired up.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“What a weekend. SummerSlam lit the fuse, and now it’s High Stakes where it all explodes. This is the first premium live event I’ve had the honour of overseeing as General Manager, and I’d say we’ve already washed off the grime left behind by William Regal.”

A few scattered boos from the crowd filter in as Nigel smirks.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“But make no mistake, NXT is on fire - and the Lucky 7 Ladder Match is just one of many reasons why. It’s my creation. A match that gives power to the unpredictable, chaos to the brave - and by the end of the night, it could change everything.”

He shifts tone slightly.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“Now, earlier tonight on the kickoff show, we witnessed an attack that’s as disgraceful as it is cowardly. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel assaulted Ilja Dragunov. And after speaking with colleague Johnny Saint — who I might add is up well past his bedtime and furious. I can now confirm both men have been fined and suspended with immediate effect. Gentlemen, if you're watching... it’s time to pack up and call it a night."

This announcement - a form of justice - gets a pop from the crowd.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“I’m staying in constant contact with our medical team regarding Ilja Dragunov’s condition. If there’s even a sliver of a chance he’s cleared to compete tonight, we’ll be ready.”

Nigel straightens his jacket, settling into his closing remarks.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“We are live tonight in front of 900 of the most passionate fans - the first to witness NXT back on premium live event soil in over a year. It might not be our biggest crowd ever, but tonight, it feels larger than life. This is High Stakes. This is NXT. And we are just getting started.”

He stares directly down the lens.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS
“Tonight isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about gambling big. Let’s raise the stakes.”

As Nigel’s words echo out, we head back to
Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett on commentary.

VIC JOSEPH
“Well the stakes couldn't be any higher in this next match. For seven men, tonight is about to define their futures. We’ve heard the buzz for weeks — speculation, mind games, minders, mystery. But now, the stakes are right there for the taking.”

WADE BARRETT
“Three briefcases suspended above the ring. One holds a guaranteed title shot for the NXT Championship — the Ace of Spades. One lets you challenge for any eligible championship except the NXT Title — that’s the King of Diamonds. And then there’s the wild card — the Joker. And whoever pulls that one... their NXT contract is over.”

VIC JOSEPH
“It’s career-altering. It’s dangerous. And it’s next. Let’s take a closer look at the seven contenders risking everything in the Lucky 7 Ladder Match.”

The screen fades in from black. A spotlight glints off three suspended briefcases above a steel ladder.

A soft hum undercuts the screen as a haze drifts across a darkened stage. One by one, the lights flare to life - illuminating the seven contenders who will risk it all in tonight’s inaugural Lucky 7 Ladder Match.

Pete Dunne steps into view under a harsh spotlight, cracking his knuckles methodically. His brow furrowed, jaw clenched, eyes filled with a cold, merciless promise. He flexes his fingers with an audible snap, then slowly raises the Ace of Spades card between two fingers — as if daring anyone to take it from him.

Kyle O’Reilly is shown lacing his boots, slapping his chest, then standing tall in silhouette before suddenly bursting into motion with a fast-paced shadowboxing sequence. Focused and loose, he looks over his shoulder with a grin that says he’s ready to fight anyone, anywhere.

Finn Bálor stands still beneath a slow-moving fog. Arms outstretched like a crucifix, he tilts his head back, eyes closed in quiet control until they shoot open, piercing straight through the lens. The Ace of Spades card burns in the background behind him, distorted by smoke and pulse-like flashes of light.

Samoa Joe storms into frame with seething intensity. He paces like a caged animal, cracking his neck before shooting a glance up with dead-eyed calm. His body language is brutal, efficient - no wasted motion, no empty theatrics. He holds the Joker card up briefly… before slowly ripping it in half and letting it fall to the floor.

Austin Theory appears next. He smirks, tossing it from hand to hand, full of youthful swagger. He stops to flash a thumbs-up to the camera, soaking in imagined applause - but behind the grin is a determined gleam. This is his night to prove he belongs.

"The Infamous"
Bobby Fish enters, cloaked in velvet and theatrical grandeur. The light hits him as he lifts a gold-trimmed cloak from his shoulders with exaggerated poise, revealing an embossed “INFAMOUS” sash. He clicks open a pocket watch, gazes down with manufactured disdain, and intones, “Right on time.” A single spotlight catches his smug smirk as he fans the Joker card beside his face, like a magician revealing his final trick.

Cameron Grimes flips into frame - all fire and frenzy. Hat askew, vest slightly open, he grins with infectious confidence, tipping his cap toward the camera. He turns and marches toward the ladders behind him, already reaching for the top rung.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
Seven Will Climb. Three Will Claim. One Will Fall.”

The screen fades to black as metallic chords echo and the Lucky 7 logo appears.

Back in the ring, a spotlight hits Alicia Taylor at centre ring. The crowd hums with anticipation as seven ladders are stationed around the ringside area and three briefcases hang ominously above the ring, gently swaying under the lights.

ALICIA TAYLOR
“Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the Lucky 7 Ladder Match!” there's a roar of excitement from the crowd. “In this match, seven Superstars will compete to retrieve one of the three briefcases suspended above the ring. Once a Superstar captures a briefcase, they must leave the match. There are no pinfalls, no submissions, no count outs, and no disqualifications!”

Alicia gestures skyward as the crowd buzzes louder, ladders catching the glint of the arena lights.

ALICIA TAYLOR (CONT'D)
“Each briefcase contains a contract... but their contents will only be revealed after the match has ended.”

On-screen graphics flash across the broadcast: the three card symbols — Ace of Spades, King of Diamonds, Joker — with their corresponding match opportunities or consequences explained. The crowd reacts at the mention of the Joker.
The Briefcases:
Ace of Spades: The holder earns the right to challenge for the NXT Championship/NXT Mega Championship at a time of their choosing.

King of Diamonds: This grants the bearer a title shot for any other NXT-sanctioned championship they are eligible for - North American, Tag Team or Cruiserweight.

The Joker: ends the career of the holder on the spot. Immediate termination.

VIC JOSEPH
“Three chances. Three fates. And for one of these men, it could be their last night in NXT.”

WADE BARRETT
“Or the start of their legend. This is the ultimate gamble — a masterstroke from our General Manager for creating such a match for Las Vegas.”
Trust Me Bro” hits — Austin Theory steps out first.
The lights snap into a gold strobe as Austin Theory emerges at the top of the ramp, cocky and proud, gold trim on his gear catching the shine. He slaps his chest, throws a smug smirk toward the ladder standing mid-ramp, and gestures like he’s already climbing to the top.

VIC JOSEPH
“The Golden Boy of The Way kicking things off here - Austin Theory looking to leap into the main event scene.”

WADE BARRETT
“He’s young, he’s talented, and he’s insufferably confident. That might be the perfect cocktail for chaos.”

The lights flicker with neon green as "Game Time" hits.

Cameron Grimes bursts through the curtain with the energy of a man who’s just bet it all on himself—and won. Dressed in shimmering fringe and his trademark hat, he howls to the Vegas crowd before locking eyes with the briefcases above.

WADE BARRETT
“A self-made man in a match about high stakes? I can’t believe I’m saying this, Vic—but Grimes might just be the dark horse tonight.”

VIC JOSEPH
“From comic relief to credible threat—Grimes has earned his shot. Grimes has worked the hardest to be here having won the last chance qualifiers this past week - can he grab himself a briefcase tonight?”

A dramatic soundbite pierces the speakers. "Art is Pain. And tonight. I'm the masterpiece". Then: a heavy guitar-laced remix of Swan Lake begins.

The lights wash into theatrical red and white as
The Infamous” Bobby Fish steps through the curtain, draped in a sleek black robe with crimson lining. He walks slowly, eyes fixed forward, hands behind his back like a performer ready to unveil his final act.

VIC JOSEPH
“This version of Bobby Fish is colder, sharper, and somehow more dangerous.”

WADE BARRETT
“He’s not just competing—he’s composing. And tonight, the canvas is blood and steel.”

Fish steps into the ring, unrobes in one fluid motion, and stares silently at the ladders, as if seeing an unfinished sculpture waiting for him to carve.

"Catch Your Breath" echoes through Sam's Town as
Finn Bálor makes his arrival.

A low red haze rolls over the entranceway as Bálor emerges, jacket zipped to his chin, his eyes never leaving the ring. The fans rise to their feet as he moves with the grace of a veteran and the intensity of a fighter who knows what this night could mean.

VIC JOSEPH
“The longest-reigning NXT Champion in history. Tonight, Bálor isn’t chasing nostalgia—he’s chasing relevance.”

WADE BARRETT
“He says the past doesn't define him—but winning tonight might.”

Bálor steps inside the ropes and mounts the corner, arms outstretched beneath the glowing briefcases, framed like a shadow beneath the stakes.

"Axe & Smash" hits - the pace changes as
Kyle O'Reilly is next to make his entrance.

No flash. No pyro. Just raw purpose. Cool Kyle appears with a towel draped over his head and fight shorts cinched tight. The scars of war with
Adam Cole from End of thr Line of still haunting him, he breathes deep and heads straight for the ring.

WADE BARRETT
“O’Reilly ended the saga with Adam Cole. But has he burned too bright, too fast?”

VIC JOSEPH
“No distractions tonight. No Undisputed Era. Just a ladder, three briefcases, and a future on the line.”

Kyle climbs a ladder at ringside and sits there briefly, soaking in the moment, before dropping down with a clenched jaw and rolling into the ring.

A wall of red lights.
Samoa Joe marches out to "The Beginning" as the fans begin to boo.

The Samoan Submission Machine emerges like a storm with boots on. No theatrics - just intensity. A towel slung over his shoulders, arms flexed, every step controlled.

VIC JOSEPH
“The enforcer is back in action. And when the no-contact rule was lifted, Samoa Joe didn’t hesitate—he made a statement.”

WADE BARRETT
“Every second he’s allowed to wrestle is a gift to Joe—and a punishment to whoever’s in the ring with him.”

Joe steps through the ropes without acknowledging anyone, rolling his neck slowly, gaze fixed ahead.

A grimacing screech - "Bruiserweight" hits as
Pete Dunne is the last to walk out.

The self-proclaimed King of NXT stalks onto the stage with slow precision, arms raised in his usual flex before letting them fall to his side. His gear is darker than usual, trimmed in regal crimson. He doesn’t play to the crowd. He doesn’t need to.

WADE BARRETT
“The Bruiserweight says he’s the future. Says he’s the King of NXT.”

VIC JOSEPH
“And tonight? He wants the Ace of Spades. He's severed ties with his allies and now the sky's the limit for Pete Dunne.”

Dunne steps between the ropes, cracks his knuckles, and smirks ever so slightly as he eyes Kyle across the ring.

All seven competitors are now in the ring or on the apron, pacing in their own corners. Ladders glint under the spotlights. The briefcases sway overhead. The crowd buzzes louder than ever.

VIC JOSEPH
“Seven men. Three cards. One historical night.”

WADE BARRETT
“Let’s see who beats the house—and who ends up broke.”

THE LUCKY 7 LADDER MATCH:

HIGH RISK. HIGH REWARD.
SAMOA JOE vs. FINN BÁLOR vs. KYLE O'REILLY vs. PETE DUNNE vs. AUSTIN THEORY vs. BOBBY FISH vs. CAMERON GRIMES

Lucky-Seven.png

The bell rings, and within seconds, seven men collide in a flurry of movement. Samoa Joe throws the first shot, clubbing Pete Dunne in the jaw as Kyle O’Reilly launches at Bobby Fish with a flurry of forearms. Finn Bálor and Austin Theory grapple into a corner, while Cameron Grimes bounces from rope to rope before leaping into a springboard crossbody that wipes out Bálor and Theory at once.

Joe swings a ladder like a battering ram, knocking Grimes down before tossing it flat across the ring. Fish tries to use it to his advantage, but Kyle yanks him down and delivers a brainbuster across the steel.

VIC JOSEPH
"That might’ve folded Fish like origami!"

With bodies everywhere, O’Reilly, Bálor, and Theory are the first to find cohesion. After fending off Joe, the three men set up a ladder and begin to climb together — the audience buzzing at the visual.

But just as their hands near the briefcases, Austin Theory betrays the alliance, shoving O’Reilly off one side and Bálor off the other.

WADE BARRETT
"Told you! Never trust a man with something to prove and nothing to lose."

Theory smirks and reaches up—but Samoa Joe yanks the ladder away, sending him sprawling with a violent snap against the ropes. Joe doesn't hesitate—he lifts the ladder over his head and slams it down onto Pete Dunne, before setting it up and beginning his own ascent.

Kyle O’Reilly meets him halfway, fists flying. Joe stuns him with a headbutt—but here comes Bálor, springboarding in and dropkicking the ladder clean over, sending both men crashing to the mat.

Grimes sneaks up the opposite side as Joe writhes on the ground. O’Reilly scales, one hand gripping his ribs, and reaches up, finally pulling down the first briefcase. The crowd explodes. Kyle drops to the mat and rolls to the floor, battered but victorious in his escape.

Winner: Kyle O'Reilly retrieves the first briefcase (07:32)

Joe, watching from the corner, seethes.

WADE BARRETT
"O'Reilly's escaped with one... and you can see the rage building in Samoa Joe’s eyes."

Fish tries to blindside Grimes with a ladder shot, but Grimes ducks, rebounds off the ropes and hits a Cave-In against the steel, sending Fish flailing backward into the turnbuckles. Grimes sets the ladder again, but Pete Dunne stomps on his hand, manipulating the fingers until Grimes screams. Dunne snaps the digits, then hurls him into the barricade outside.

Theory returns to the ring with a second ladder, while Bálor goes aerial again with a tope con hilo to Joe on the outside, rallying the crowd. As Theory begins to climb, Dunne cuts him off—so Theory scoops him onto his shoulders and delivers an ATL onto a flat ladder, bending it in half.

Theory starts to climb again—but this time, Bálor is there. They brawl near the top rung. Finn wins the exchange with a sharp elbow and pushes Theory down—but as Finn reaches up...

Dunne, using the opposite side of the same ladder, wrenches Finn’s fingers apart, stunning him long enough to snatch the second briefcase. He drops to the mat and slides out of the ring, smirking as he stumbles to the ramp.

Winner: Pete Dunne retrieves the second briefcase (13:02)

VIC JOSEPH
"The self-proclaimed king... has just claimed his crown. But which card did he get?"

In the ring, the chaos doesn’t let up. Joe powerbombs Cameron Grimes onto a steel ladder, then turns and destroys Theory with a uranage in the corner. Fish takes advantage, low-bridging Joe and sending him outside, then starts climbing as the crowd boos.

Suddenly, Grimes, somehow still alive in this war, leaps from the top rope with a super sunset flip powerbomb on Fish off the ladder, flattening both of them.

WADE BARRETT
"That ladder’s seen more action tonight than my last bar tab!"

Bálor re-enters the frame, crawling toward a fresh ladder. Grimes does the same from the opposite side. They climb in sync, one rung at a time. Joe slides back in, rage in his eyes - but it's too late!

Grimes yanks the third and final case free just seconds before Joe reaches them. He drops to the mat, rolling out as Joe storms toward the ropes, punching the turnbuckle in frustration.

Winner: Cameron Grimes retrieves the third and final briefcase (17:59)

The bell sounds. The arena erupts.

Three men escape. Four remain stunned or seething.

Joe stands alone in the ring, chest heaving. His eyes locked on the final ladder, fists clenched, steam nearly rising from his shoulders.

VIC JOSEPH
"Joe looks like a man who just saw his empire collapse before it ever began..."

The bell continues to echo as Cameron Grimes stumbles backward up the ramp, cradling his briefcase like a newborn, eyes wide with disbelief. He throws his free hand into the air, chest heaving, sweat dripping. The Las Vegas crowd gives him a standing ovation, rallying behind the self-made underdog.

VIC JOSEPH
"What a moment for Cameron Grimes! Not just surviving—thriving—in the most unpredictable ladder match in NXT history!"

On the opposite side of the stage, Pete Dunne stands statuesque, briefcase in hand, jaw clenched. No celebration. No acknowledgment. Just the quiet, calculating stare of a man who believes this is only the beginning.

WADE BARRETT
"Dunne said he was going for the Ace of Spades… but whatever card he holds, make no mistake: the Bruiserweight is going into business for himself."

Kyle O’Reilly, already backstage, briefly re-emerges from the curtain, clutching his ribs but raising his own briefcase with pride. He gives a faint nod to the crowd before disappearing again, a look of gritty resolve on his face.

Inside the ring, the scene is far darker.

Samoa Joe stands with hands on hips, nostrils flared, a storm building behind his eyes. Finn Bálor, seated in the corner, stares through the ropes at Theory, who is still down on the outside. No words between them—but the weight of their broken alliance lingers heavily.

On the ramp, Bobby Fish shouts at officials, furious, pointing at Grimes and yelling that “this is a joke.” But Grimes just flashes a cheeky grin, wiping his brow as the crowd roars louder.

VIC JOSEPH
"Three men are heading into the unknown—and four are left picking up the pieces. But tonight’s not over. Later on, we open those briefcases… and discover whose future just changed forever."

As the lights fade on the wreckage, the camera pans over the ring: twisted ladders, bruised bodies, and tension rising like smoke. The briefcases are gone… but the consequences are only just beginning. We cut to commercial.

Following the intensity of the first-ever Lucky 7 match, we return from commercial break as the feed transitions to a split-screen moment backstage.

On one side, Bronson Reed laces his boots in a quiet, focused corner — the NXT Championship and North American Title gleaming beside him. On the other, LA Knight strides confidently down a hallway in designer sunglasses, the Million Dollar Championship around his waist and Cal Lannister trailing behind, smirking at the camera.

A roar of cheers swells through Sam’s Town at the sight of Reed… immediately followed by boos as Knight’s smug face fills the screen.

VIC JOSEPH
“Later tonight, it’s Winner Takes All — Bronson Reed and LA Knight, two champions with everything on the line. But before we get there, the dust is still settling from that chaos we just witnessed.”

Footage briefly rolls of the aftermath of the Lucky 7 Ladder Match, Grimes clutching his briefcase in awe, Dunne walking off in silence, and O’Reilly nodding to the crowd.

WADE BARRETT
“Seven entered, three walked away with their futures hanging in the balance, but only one of them might have sealed their own exit. We find out tonight which man holds which card.”

VIC JOSEPH
“Will it be the Ace of Spades? The King of Diamonds? Or the Joker - which terminates the cardholder’s contract immediately? We’ll get those answers later this evening.”

The screen now shifts to a dynamic match graphic, split-screen once again: Kushida on the left in motion, shadowboxing, and Tommaso Ciampa on the right, seated and brooding, his eyes burning through the camera.

VIC JOSEPH
“But right now, the spotlight turns to the Cruiserweight Division. Coming up next — Kushida defends his title against Tommaso Ciampa.”

The screen shifts to a slick, split-screen graphic: Kushida on the left, Ciampa on the right.

VIC JOSEPH
“Kushida has been nothing short of a juggernaut in 2025 — ten wins, five losses, and undefeated since capturing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship earlier this year. He’s turned back every challenge with speed, precision, and a level of confidence that borders on untouchable.”

WADE BARRETT
“But momentum is only one side of the story — and Tommaso Ciampa is no ordinary challenger. For weeks, Kushida asked for the best. What he got… was The Psycho Killer.

Footage flashes of Ciampa’s shocking return this past Tuesday — the crowd in stunned silence as he blindsides Kushida from behind and leaves him down and out.

VIC JOSEPH
“Ciampa was revealed by Nigel McGuinness as the mystery opponent — a calculated wildcard to test Kushida’s limits. And make no mistake, the Time Splitter wasn’t ready.”

Ciampa walks backstage in slow motion, cold and unsmiling,

WADE BARRETT
“Kushida’s been unstoppable… but Ciampa broke through that shield in seconds. The real question is — did that one attack shake the champion’s foundation? Or has Kushida recalibrated and locked in?”

VIC JOSEPH
“Styles clash. Momentum collides with malice. And right now… it’s time to find out if lightning strikes twice — or if the Time Splitter resets the future.”

The lights drop low into amber tones as a haunting, industrial beat creeps in. Tommaso Ciampa emerges slowly through the smoke, dressed in black, his face half-covered by a rugged tactical mask. He scans the crowd, offering no recognition. The crowd buzzes, unsure whether to boo or hold their breath.

Ciampa walks deliberately, occasionally twitching his neck or flexing his fingers like he’s holding back chaos. He circles the ring once, climbs the steps with a heavy stomp, and leans into the ropes — staring down commentary before pacing like a caged animal.

VIC JOSEPH
“It seems his isn’t the beloved Blackheart of NXT past. This is the Sicilian Psychopath — twisted, unpredictable, and dangerous. We heard him say in the Kick-Off Show, he wasn't here to take Kushida's title - he was here to take his pride.”

WADE BARRETT
“You can see it in his eyes. He didn’t come to compete. He came to dismantle.

Moments later, the lights shift into a brilliant cool blue. The crowd pops as Kushida bursts through the curtain, bouncing on his toes, laser-focused. There’s no hoverboard. No theatrics. Just purpose. The Cruiserweight Champion wears his classic futuristic jacket and UFC-style shorts, shadowboxing on the ramp before charging down to the ring.

VIC JOSEPH
“The Cruiserweight Division has evolved over the last year — and at the centre of it all is this man - the Time Splitter. But tonight, Kushida faces a test like no other.”

WADE BARRETT
“This isn’t just a title defense — it’s a psychological war. And when Tommaso Ciampa plays mind games, there are no rules.”

Kushida enters the ring and immediately removes his jacket, handing it and the title to referee Tom Castor. He doesn't take his eyes off Ciampa. The challenger slowly removes his mask, revealing a tightly clenched jaw and cold expression.

The tension in the arena builds as Alicia Taylor finishes her formal ring introductions. The crowd buzzes — split between excitement and unease.

Tommaso Ciampa stands in his corner, stoic, breathing slow and heavy. Kushida bounces lightly on his heels, fists clenched, never taking his eyes off the challenger.

Then, Ciampa slowly steps forward and extends his hand.

VIC JOSEPH
“Wait a minute — Ciampa offering a handshake?”

WADE BARRETT
“That’s not a handshake, that’s bait.”

Kushida eyes the outstretched hand. The crowd murmurs, sensing the same trap. Ciampa’s expression is unreadable. Slowly, Kushida steps forward. He raises his hand to accept…

…but pauses. He looks down. Looks back up. Then suddenly - he swipes Ciampa’s hand aside and hooks the challenger with a slick arm drag takedown, rolling straight into a grounded wrist lock.

VIC JOSEPH
“Kushida saw it coming! This time, he was ready!"

Tom Castor signals for the bell as the crowd pops and the match officially begins with Kushida already dictating the pace.

SINGLES MATCH:
FOR THE NXT CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
KUSHIDA © vs. TOMMASO CIAMPA

Cruiserweight.png

The match begins with a jolt of tension still hanging in the air after Ciampa’s failed mind game. Kushida wastes no time asserting control. The champion dominates the early going, isolating the arm with crisp wrist locks, joint manipulation, and targeted kicks. A grounded stomp to the elbow draws a sharp wince from the crowd. He cartwheels into a basement dropkick, then follows with a handspring back elbow in the corner, sending Ciampa reeling.

But one misstep on a rope-run and Ciampa seizes the opening — yanking Kushida neck-first onto the top rope before planting him with a rope-hung DDT. It’s a brutal reset, and Ciampa doesn’t let up.

WADE BARRETT
“Vintage Ciampa. You give him a second, he’ll take your breath — and in Kushida's case, maybe even his title."

With momentum turned, Ciampa slows things down, punishing Kushida with heavy lariats and driving knees. He drags him up for a snap back suplex, earning a near fall. Taunting the crowd, Ciampa grinds his forearm into Kushida’s jaw, sneering as he paces like a predator.

When Kushida fights back with a step-up enzuigiri, Ciampa counters again with a brutal back elbow. He hoists the champion and plants him with an air raid crash.

Ciampa looks for another suplex, but Kushida rolls through, blasting Ciampa with a basement dropkick. That shifts the tide. The champion fires off a springboard elbow, a running palm strike, and a hip toss into a cartwheel dropkick that pops the crowd. He follows with a diving knee off the second rope to Ciampa’s weakened arm.

In one fluid motion, Kushida wraps Ciampa into a flying armbar, transitioning seamlessly into the Hoverboard Lock!

VIC JOSEPH
“This is it! He’s got it in! Ciampa’s scrambling—”

Ciampa kicks and claws, just barely making it to the ropes before the hold is fully secured. The crowd erupts in applause for the effort.

Looking to end it, Kushida rushes a springboard attack — but Ciampa sidesteps and launches him throat-first onto the ropes with a stun-gun drop. As the champion stumbles backward, Ciampa grabs the arms — Project Ciampa connects.

KICK OUT!

The crowd is alive now, buzzing with disbelief. Ciampa wipes the sweat from his brow, frustration showing.

He hauls Kushida up once more and roars before hitting a running knee strike to the jaw. The champion slumps forward. Ciampa hooks him - Fairytale Ending!

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship (13:12)

Ciampa doesn’t gloat. He sits cross-legged beside Kushida, cradling the Cruiserweight Title with that familiar vacant stare.

VIC JOSEPH

“The Time Splitter fought with heart, but tonight belonged to something darker.”

WADE BARRETT
“Kushida took on all comers, week in and week out, and no one could break him. But Ciampa didn’t just beat him — he broke the pattern, broke the rhythm, and broke through. The Sicilian Psychopath just made the Cruiserweight division his new battleground.”

We cut back to Sam's Town, as the arena darkens as green lights pulse from the entrance ramp. A war tank rolls out — Shotzi straddling the turret with a crazed grin, Tegan Nox standing behind her, arms raised in defiance. Pyro fires as the tank halts at the top of the ramp. They march to the ring, hyped by the crowd, slapping hands as they go. This is a team built on trust and energy, a sisterhood forged in chaos.

Then The Way’s music hits. Candice LeRae emerges first, proudly clutching one of the tag titles—Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta following her. The trio halt halfway down the ramp as Candice raises a mic and demands the music be cut.

Candice, looking tired and dramatic, sighs into the microphone.

CANDICE LERAE
“Cut the music. Cut it! This crowd needs to listen for once—because what I have to say is more important than anything you have to say!”

She holds her title tight to her chest, brushing her hair back with a trembling hand.

CANDICE LERAE
“It’s been a hard week, okay? I’ve had the weight of the world on my shoulders. Nigel McGuinness has been breathing down my neck like a nosy headteacher, trying to strip me and Indi of our NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships—just because we haven’t been defending them.”

She glares at the booing crowd.

CANDICE LERAE
“This week should’ve been filled with joy. But instead, I’ve had Nigel McGuinness sending passive-aggressive emails, threatening to strip me and Indi of these titles. Well guess what? He’s right. Eventually, the charade had to end.”

She sighs dramatically, turning toward Indi and Persia.

CANDICE LERAE
“And despite what the internet says, it's true that all this time I have been sitting on some pretty life-changing news. Johnny and I are expecting our first child.”

She softens momentarily as the crowd gives a mixed reaction. Indi and Persia applaud.

CANDICE LERAE
“I know, I know — a little Gargano! But that also means... I can’t keep pretending I’m gonna walk down that ramp and defend these titles. I had to make a choice. But I’m not just walking away. The time has come to embrace the future... and bask in the fruits of my labour.””

She turns dramatically to Persia, who lights up with pride.

CANDICE LERAE
“Persia… I wasn’t sold on you at first. But over time, I’ve seen that killer instinct come out. The kind of instinct you just can’t teach. And Indi—”

Candice turns to her, gently patting her shoulder. Indi still looks confused.

CANDICE LERAE
“You’re good, honey. But sometimes, you’re just too nice. Tonight, I want you to watch Persia. Learn from her. Because...”

Candice steps between them, gripping the microphone like a lifeline.

CANDICE LERAE
“...By my authority as one half of your NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions — and under the Freebird Rule — I name Persia Pirotta my chosen substitute for the foreseeable future. Which means this match will go ahead, I remain champion, and Indi and Persia will defend our titles. That’s right — we’re defending. We’re not forfeiting. And we’re not losing.

The crowd erupts in boos. Tegan is seen shaking her head from across the ring, while Shotzi mouths, “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Indi’s expression darkens — she clearly didn’t know this was coming. Persia, meanwhile, bounces on the spot like she just hit the jackpot.

CANDICE LERAE
“So let’s get this over with. Let’s defend our gold, and show Nigel—and the rest of this division—that The Way is still the standard.”

She smirks and moves to exit the ring.

Just then, Shotzi and Tegan have heard enough. They launch forward, diving through the ropes with synchronized planchas - taking out Indi and Persia on the outside to a loud pop. The crowd comes unglued.

Aja Smith, already in the ring, quickly exits and rushes to keep Candice clear from the fray as the referee for the match. Candice clutches her belly protectively, backing away with exaggerated caution as Shotzi points furiously at her.

The bell rings as Indi and Persia scramble to regroup, and the match is underway.

The action kicks off fast after Shotzi and Tegan ambush Indi and Persia before the bell, striking first with tandem basement dropkicks.

As the bell rings, Shotzi launches herself across the ring and immediately goes after Indi, while Tegan pairs off with Persia. The challengers bring high-energy offence out of the gate—Shotzi nails a rolling elbow and a running cannonball in the corner. Tegan follows with a swift European uppercut and a snapmare into a penalty kick, sending Persia outside.

Persia regroups with Candice at ringside, who tries to bark encouragement—but Shotzi flies through the ropes with a tope suicida, crashing into them both.

The match breaks down into chaos—Tegan and Persia slug it out in the corner while Shotzi sets up Indi for Sliced Bread No. 2, but Persia cuts her off. She hoists Shotzi into a military press and slams her down hard, turning the tide again.

Indi looks conflicted as Candice shouts from ringside, demanding she use the exposed turnbuckle Persia had earlier dislodged. Persia nods insistently.

Shotzi stumbles toward Indi—Indi hesitates—but ultimately shoves Shotzi face-first into the steel.

WADE BARRETT
“There’s that killer instinct Candice wanted!”

Indi tags in Persia. The two hoist Shotzi up and connect with a spinebuster (by Persia) / running boot (from Indi) combo. Indi scrambles to make the cover as Candice jumps in glee.

Winners: The Way via pinfall to retain the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships (11:32)

VIC JOSEPH
“Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta just retained the titles — but it wasn’t clean. Shotzi was thrown right into that exposed turnbuckle, and Candice LeRae is loving every second of it.”

WADE BARRETT
“She said it herself, Vic — it’s about killer instinct! Indi Hartwell finally listened, and look where it got her!”

As Shotzi lies dazed on the mat, Candice jumps up and down at ringside, beaming with pride. Shendemands her proteges “put them through a table—again!

VIC JOSEPH
“No… no, not again! They already did this once before—don’t tell me they’re about to do it again!”

Just as they lift Tegan—

“RISE FOM THE ASHES — EMBER MOON’S MUSIC HITS.

The Sam’s Town crowd erupts as Ember Moon charges down the ramp for the first time in months, having not been seen since NXT TakeOver: In Your House earlier in the year.

WADE BARRETT
“What the...?! It’s Ember Moon! Ember Moon is back!”

Ember slides into the ring like a bolt of lightning. Persia swings at her and eats a discus forearm. Indi charges and gets a pump kick to the gut. Ember springs onto the ropes, the fans are in frenzy!

The Eclipse lands flush on Indi Hartwell!

VIC JOSEPH
“The Eclipse! Ember Moon just lit up The Way! And listen to this crowd!”

Candice dives off the apron and backs away toward the barricade, eyes wide, arms protectively over her stomach as she vanishes through the curtain.

The crowd buzzes as Ember takes a moment to breathe. Then, as Shotzi groggily stirs and Tegan clutches the bottom rope.

Ember extends her hands and helps them both up.

VIC JOSEPH
“It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Ember Moon… but she’s back, and she’s standing beside Shotzi and Tegan.”

WADE BARRETT
“And don’t forget, Ember and Shotzi were once NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions themselves. This is more than just backup… this is family.”

The three women stand tall in the ring, bruised but united, as the crowd cheers and “Welcome Back!” chants ring out as we cut to a commercial break.

Back at ringside, Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett at the announce desk. The crowd buzzes with anticipation as the arena lights slowly dim for the next big match.

VIC JOSEPH
"Folks, up next is a match nearly two years in the making. A rematch that’s less about revenge — and more about redemption. The NXT UK Championship is on the line… and the challenger? He’s already fought through hell just to make it here tonight."

WADE BARRETT
Let’s not sugar-coat this, Vic. Ilja Dragunov should be in a hospital tonight, not in a wrestling ring. He was ambushed by Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel just hours ago — a calculated strike by Imperium to protect their emperor, WALTER.

VIC JOSEPH
"You’re absolutely right, Wade. But to his credit, Nigel McGuinness responded immediately, suspending Aichner and Barthel indefinitely for their actions. This title match will go ahead as planned — one-on-one, with no outside interference."

WADE BARRETT
"And if you're WALTER? That changes nothing. He’s the most dominant champion in WWE — nearly 900 days undefeated as NXT UK Champion. He doesn’t need help. He’s here to teach a lesson: that NXT’s idea of heart and passion can’t overcome power and discipline."

VIC JOSEPH
"But if there’s one man in the world who refuses to die quietly — it’s Ilja Dragunov. Their first encounter nearly broke both of them. Dragunov didn’t tap, didn’t quit — his body simply gave out."

WADE BARRETT
"That’s the terrifying part. He’s coming into this with taped ribs, a damaged shoulder… and that same look in his eyes. If I’m WALTER? I don’t take this man lightly. Not now. Not ever."

VIC JOSEPH
"It’s the Ring General versus the Mad Dragon. The longest reign in WWE today… against the fiercest heart NXT has ever known. The NXT UK Championship is on the line — next!"

We cut to the video package (previously shown on the kick-off show.

The arena lights drop. A white spotlight shines directly over the stage as the low, solemn opening chords of Imperium’s theme begin to echo through Sam's Town.

VIC JOSEPH
There is a chill in the air. The longest-reigning champion in all of WWE history is about to enter — and he’s doing it alone.

WADE BARRETT
As it should be. No Fabian Aichner. No Marcel Barthel. Just WALTER. The Ring General. A man who treats that title not like a trophy… but a symbol of order.

The LED boards turn monochrome. The words "THE MAT IS SACRED" flicker into view as WALTER steps through the curtain.

He marches to the ring with mechanical precision, NXT United Kingdom Championship strapped across his shoulder. His expression never changes. No pyro. No theatrics. Just control.

As he ascends the steel steps and enters the ring, the camera slowly circles him from below, the gold gleaming beneath the spotlight.

VIC JOSEPH
WALTER is not a man who plays to crowds. He is a force. A presence. And tonight, he faces the only man who ever made him doubt.

WADE BARRETT
He doesn’t need to scream, pose, or play games. His dominance speaks for itself — and it’s been speaking for 870 days.

The arena fades to darkness. The final echoes of WALTER’s music are replaced by a low rumble — then silence.

BOOM. A sudden blast of red strobes hits the stage.

Then — "Machine Gun" by Portishead explodes through the arena.

VIC JOSEPH
"There he is! Just look at this crowd, Wade! Ilja Dragunov was ambushed earlier tonight — his shoulder driven into steel, his ribs stomped — and still… still, he’s showing up for this fight."

WADE BARRETT
"He should be in a medical facility! But this? This is what Ilja Dragunov lives for — the fight, the pain, the madness of it all. It’s what makes him the Unbesiegbar."

Through the haze, Ilja appears on the stage — slow, unsteady at first, wrapped in heavy kinesio tape across his ribs and left shoulder. His face is bruised, but his eyes burn with intensity.

The Vegas crowd rises to their feet, erupting into a thunderous ovation for Dragunov's frst appearance in the United States.

VIC JOSEPH

"They’re not just cheering a challenger — they’re standing for a man who refuses to stay down."

WADE BARRETT
"There’s no strategy to this. No plan. Dragunov is dragging himself to the ring on rage and resolve alone."

Ilja doesn’t stop to pose. He marches forward like a wounded soldier — one arm clutching his side, but his gaze never leaving the ring.

As he nears ringside, he briefly stumbles to one knee — and the crowd gasps — but he forces himself upright, snarling.

He climbs the steps slowly but deliberately, then stands atop the turnbuckle and screams into the air — a primal, defiant roar.

The spotlight hits him.

He drops down into the corner and kneels, head bowed, breathing sharp and fast.

VIC JOSEPH
"You can feel it — this is the fight of his life."

WADE BARRETT
"And possibly the last. If WALTER sees weakness? He’ll end this quick. Ilja’s playing with fire."

Camera lingers on Ilja — the Mad Dragon, bruised and bandaged, staring across at the Ring General, unflinching.

Spotlights hit both corners. The crowd is on their feet, tension high. Alicia Taylor steps forward, mic in hand. The NXT UK Championship is held aloft by the referee.

ALICIA TAYLOR
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall… and it is for the NXT UNITED KINGDOM CHAMPIONSHIP!
Introducing first, the challenger…
From Moscow, Russia… weighing in at 210 pounds…
THE MAD DRAGON — ILJA DRAGUNOV!"

Ilja stands tall despite the tape and bruises. A defiant fire burns behind his eyes.

ALICIA TAYLOR
"And his opponent…
From Vienna, Austria… weighing in at 297 pounds…
He is the reigning… defending… NXT United Kingdom Champion… THE RING GENERAL — WALTER!"

WALTER raises the title with one hand, eyes never leaving Dragunov. The crowd buzzes as the referee — Eddie Orengo — presents the championship to all four sides of the ring.

The bell sounds. The crowd inside Sam’s Town Live hums with anticipation. Ilja Dragunov steps out of his corner, his ribs wrapped in tape, his shoulder bruised, his face already carrying the marks of a war not yet fought.

Across from him, WALTER stands unmoved. The NXT UK Championship rests in his corner. His eyes betray nothing — no respect, no malice — just a quiet, suffocating certainty.

They circle. Ilja feints low. WALTER doesn’t react. Then - CRACK. The first chop connects like a shotgun blast. Dragunov gasps, clutching his side. WALTER follows with a second — even louder — and Ilja screams back in his face.

He fires off a chop of his own! The crowd explodes.

Ilja starts stringing together forearms and wild flurries, driving WALTER to the ropes — but WALTER absorbs the strikes and throws Ilja across the ring with a huge belly-to-belly suplex. He stalks after him, booting him in the spine as Ilja tries to stand.

VIC JOSEPH
"WALTER said this was about showing NXT what a real champion looks like — but Ilja Dragunov didn’t come to be lectured. He came to end a legacy."

WALTER mounts the offense. He corners Ilja with methodical violence — uppercuts to the neck, clubbing fists to the shoulder, grinding a knee into the tape-wrapped ribs. Every move is delivered with surgical weight. No wasted motion. No pity.

Ilja refuses to stay down. Every time WALTER tries to slow the pace, Ilja lunges back into the fire — clipping WALTER with a jumping knee, a dragon screw, a snap Saito suplex that stuns the champion.

Ilja runs the ropes — WALTER clobbers him with a lariat!

WADE BARRETT

Winner: Ilja Dragunov via pinfall to win the NXT United Kingdom Championship (18:52)

The crowd is on its feet. Alicia Taylor’s voice is barely audible over the noise:

ALICIA TAYLOR
"Here is your winner… and NEWWWW NXT United Kingdom Champion… ILJA DRAGUNOV!"

Ilja collapses to his knees, the title handed to him by Eddie Orengo. He doesn’t raise it — not yet. He just clutches it, overcome.

VIC JOSEPH
"After 870 days… after heartbreak… after war… Ilja Dragunov has done the impossible."

WADE BARRETT
"That match… that moment… is the kind of legacy people dream about. That was an era-defining performance."

Across the ring, WALTER pulls himself up slowly. For a moment, he stands still — then nods once, solemnly, and exits the ring. No music. No dramatics. Just the end of a reign.

In the ring, Ilja finally rises. He lifts the title with both hands, eyes brimming with emotion, sweat pouring down his back.

And as the lights dim around him, and the camera zooms in on his torn expression, we’re left with one truth:

Ilja Dragunov didn’t just win the title. He conquered his past.

As The Mad Dragon kneels in the centre of the ring, clutching the NXT United Kingdom Championship, the camera cuts wide. WALTER is seated in the corner, chest heaving, eyes fixed forward — not on the title, but on the man holding it.

He slowly rises. His movements are methodical, not wounded, but spent. For the first time in 870 days… WALTER has been defeated.

He doesn’t exit immediately.

He walks toward Ilja.

The crowd holds its breath.

Ilja stands - wary, exhausted — the title limp in his hand.

WALTER stops in front of him. There’s no handshake. No raised arms.

Just a long, unwavering stare.

Then....WALTER gives a subtle, stoic nod.

Not approval. Not friendship. Acknowledgment.

Then, with no music, no fanfare, WALTER steps between the ropes and leaves the ring. He walks slowly up the ramp, keeping his back to the ring — never once looking over his shoulder.

As WALTER disappears behind the curtain, the spotlight returns to Ilja — standing tall in the centre of the ring, belt raised high, battered, trembling… and finally victorious.

VIC JOSEPH

"What we just witnessed… was history. But the road doesn’t stop here at High Stakes. Another championship hangs in the balance tonight as Raquel González defends the NXT Women's Championship against Toni Storm. Next!"

We fade to backstage footage from earlier in the evening: Dakota Kai seated on a crate, silent. Mercedes Martinez walking off after her confrontation with Kai on the Kick-Off Show . Raquel González — calm, focused — standing just beyond the tension, title over her shoulder. She watches. But she doesn’t intervene.

VIC JOSEPH

"Raquel González enters tonight not alone… but with fractures around her. Fractures that run deep - not in trust, but in timing."

WADE BARRETT
"Dakota wants to be at her side. Mercedes wants to stand opposite her. And Toni Storm? She's ruthless. Refocused. With a chip on her shoulder the size of the Mae Young Classic trophy."

We end on a split-screen visual — Raquel’s stoic eyes on one side. Toni Storm’s smirk on the other.

Back at ringside, the lights dim. A shimmer of purple and silver strobes ripple across the stage as the opening riff of “Watch What’s Next” by Suzie Mojo cuts through the arena.

A single spotlight hits the stage — a silhouette forms: Toni Storm stands with one arm raised, head bowed, holding her signature leather jacket over her shoulder like a cape. Her hair is wild, eyes hidden behind red-lensed shades, the Mae Young Classic trophy tucked under her other arm like a microphone stand.

VIC JOSEPH
"The Vegas strip has seen its share of headliners… but few quite like Toni Storm."

WADE BARRETT
"She’s not walking into this like a challenger, Vic — she’s walking in like the main event. That swagger, that trophy, that smirk — she’s here to tear the house down and crown herself queen of the women's division"

Toni strides down the ramp like it’s a catwalk, the lighting chasing her heels with each step. She pauses halfway, mock-blowing a kiss to the crowd, then climbs onto the apron and holds the ropes open herself — never breaking eye contact with the hard cam.

She sets the trophy in the corner like a prop waiting to be swung, then climbs the turnbuckle and stretches her arms out wide - soaking in the spotlight, the moment, and the madness.

The crowd reaction is loud and mixed — some booing, some mesmerized. Toni loves it.

Then the lights cut completely.

BOOM. A single white spotlight hits the ramp.

The bass thump into life as Raquel González storms through the curtain, draped in white and gold gear, the NXT Women’s Championship hanging across her back like a mantle. Her face is calm — stone cold focus etched into every step.

VIC JOSEPH
"This is the NXT Women’s Champion — and tonight, Big Mami Cool doesn’t need theatrics. She’s got dominance."

WADE BARRETT
"She’s walked through Ember Moon. Through Xia Li. Through Rhea Ripley. But Toni Storm? That’s another level of cunning. This might be Raquel’s toughest test yet."

Raquel reaches the ramp, stops dead centre, and raises the title overhead with both hands — flanked by gold pyro that bursts upward from the stage. The camera sweeps wide, capturing the glint of the championship as the crowd roars behind her.

She makes her way to the ring with her eyes locked on Toni, who lounges smugly in the corner. There’s no acknowledgement between them — just a quiet, burning tension.

Raquel climbs the turnbuckle and raises the title again — this time directly above Toni’s head — before dropping down and handing it to the referee. Darryl Sharma holds the title high. The arena pulses with anticipation while Alicia Taylor delivers full in-ring introductions.

SINGLES MATCH:

RAQUEL GONZÁLEZ © vs. TONI STORM

Women-s.png

The bell rings. Toni circles Raquel immediately, arms out, taunting with the confidence of a main-event rockstar. Raquel stands grounded, eyes locked, unmoved. When Toni slaps the air between them, Raquel lunges — snatching her by the wrist and yanking her into a short-arm lariat that drops her flat.

VIC JOSEPH
"Toni Storm wants the spotlight — but Raquel González isn’t here to share it."

Toni scrambles into the ropes to buy time. She’s rattled, not hurt. She resets, then feints a lock-up — but ducks under and goes after Raquel’s leg. Raquel shoves her off, and Toni responds with a sharp basement dropkick to Raquel's knee.

WADE BARRETT
"That’s Toni’s brilliance — she doesn’t need to outpower you. She just has to outthink you."

Toni focuses her offense on Raquel’s leg. She dropkicks the knee out mid-stride, then wraps it around the bottom rope and kicks it repeatedly. She even mocks the crowd between moves — tossing her hair back and mouthing “watch what’s next” as she stomps the knee again.

Raquel grits her teeth and fires back with a heavy lariat and a fallaway slam that sends Toni sprawling into the corner.

She rallies with elbows, then drives Toni spine-first into the turnbuckle, hitting a corner splash and a spinning sidewalk slam!

KICK OUT!

Toni drags Raquel to the centre, mocks the crowd again, then slaps Raquel’s head while yelling, You’re not a champion — you’re a bodyguard with a belt!

Storm stays laser-focused on Raquel’s knee, yanking it across the bottom rope and stomping down with precision. With the champion weakened, Toni begins to toy with her—smirking at the crowd, slapping the back of Raquel’s head, calling out to the cameras that this is her moment.

She drags Raquel up and drives her face-first into the middle turnbuckle, then fires off a low-angle hip attack to the back of the skull. Raquel slumps, dazed.

Toni plants a foot on Raquel’s chest and demands the referee count. It barely reaches one before Raquel powers out. Toni shakes her head, annoyed but not surprised. She circles, measuring Raquel, and signals for Storm Zero.

That’s when the crowd stirs.

Dakota Kai appears at the top of the ramp — slow, cautious, one hand brushing along the barricade, her sunglasses in place, expression unreadable. She’s walking on her own this time, without a handler. The buzz inside Sam’s Town grows immediately.

Storm notices. She freezes, then rolls out of the ring, locking her gaze onto Dakota as she rounds the ringside corner.

Storm walks toward her, calling out with theatrical disdain. Dakota doesn’t react right away — she doesn’t fully know what’s happening, only that the attention is on her.

Then Mercedes Martinez arrives from the side, stepping between the two women, trying to intercept Dakota and diffuse the tension. But instead of going quietly, Dakota shoves Mercedes back with a burst of frustration, shouting that she came to help Raquel and no one else.

Mercedes steadies herself, eyes narrowing, and sharply reminds Dakota that Raquel didn’t ask for help — and that she’s already got someone watching her back.

Dakota clenches her fists and, feeling along the floor near her feet, grabs the Mae Young Classic trophy — still left at ringside since Toni’s entrance.

She raises it slightly — the crowd gasps.

Mercedes steps in again, grabbing Dakota’s wrist to stop her. There’s a moment of hesitation — then a hard tug from Mercedes.

The trophy falls.

It hits the steel ramp with a sick crack and breaks!

The crowd winces. Toni’s eyes go wide. She lets out a furious scream and slams her hands into the apron. She’s unravelling in real time, jaw clenched as she kicks the broken half of the trophy in frustration.

Raquel, now back on her feet, seizes the opening.

She slides out of the ring, grabs Toni by the waist from behind and slams her face-first into the edge of the ring apron.n Without wasting a second, she hauls Toni back in under the ropes.

Inside the ring, Raquel lifts Storm high

CHINGONA BOMB!

She hooks both legs for the cover.

Winner: Raquel González via pinfall to retain the NXT Women's Championship (14:06)

Raquel González clutches her NXT Women’s Championship, breathing hard as she rises to her feet. The crowd response is mixed — relief, tension, uncertainty.

Toni Storm rolls to the outside, dazed. As her eyes land on the shattered Mae Young Classic trophy near ringside, her expression changes — not just frustration, but rage. She drops to her knees beside it, picking up a broken piece, staring at it in disbelief.

She slams it back down, snarling something under her breath as she scrambles to gather the remains. Her voice rises, shouting at no one in particular — at Dakota, at Mercedes, at the universe. The crowd buzzes, not quite booing, not quite cheering. Just reacting.

VIC JOSEPH
“Toni Storm gave everything tonight — and leaves with nothing but splinters of her legacy.”

WADE BARRETT
“She didn’t just lose the match, Vic… she watched the one thing that made her the Headliner get smashed in front of the world.”

Up the ramp, Dakota Kai crouches beside the broken trophy, rattled and quiet. Mercedes Martinez stands close, one hand on Dakota’s back. It’s not dominance — it’s protection. But her eyes never leave Raquel in the ring.

VIC JOSEPH

“You can feel it — whatever that moment was between Dakota and Mercedes… it changed something.”

WADE BARRETT
“Martinez might’ve protected Dakota tonight, but don’t think for a second she’s softened. She's always got one eye on the title.”

The camera lingers on Raquel’s expression — a mixture of pride and conflict — before fading to the announce desk where
Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett reset the stage.

VIC JOSEPH
"What a night for Raquel González — she’s still your NXT Women’s Champion, but with all that unfolded, you have to wonder where things stand with Dakota Kai and Mercedes Martinez."

WADE BARRETT
"I’ll tell you where they stand — fractured. The only thing more fragile than Toni Storm’s trophy is that alliance."

The screen quickly transitions to a stylised triple-split view, revealing the three Lucky 7 briefcase winners in separate backstage areas:

Pete Dunne stands alone under harsh lighting, gripping his case tightly. His jaw clenched, eyes fixed on the ground, pacing with cold precision.

Cameron Grimes, still winded but grinning ear to ear, adjusts his vest while muttering excitedly to himself — equal parts disbelief and delight.

Kyle O’Reilly rolls out his shoulder, bruised and battered, but focused. He’s being checked briefly by a medic but waves them off, clutching his case with purpose.

VIC JOSEPH
"Earlier tonight, history was made in the Lucky 7 Ladder Match — and now the moment of truth awaits."

WADE BARRETT
"Three men fought their way to the top, and three cases were claimed… but only two hold opportunity. One holds disaster. It’s time to find out who drew the Joker — and who holds the cards to NXT’s future."

VIC JOSEPH
"We’ll hear from Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Cameron Grimes — next."

The scene opens with a cinematic video package — moody shots of New York at night, subway trains rattling under moonlight, steam rising from manholes, and neon lights flickering across King’s Theatre’s glowing marquee.

NARRATOR (V.O., with gravitas):
"From Blackpool to Las Vegas… from carnage to gold… this is a new era of NXT.

WADE BARRETT
"Five years in the making… the return to Brooklyn. You can feel it already, Vic — this one’s gonna be special."

VIC JOSEPH
"NXT is back where TakeOver became a movement. And if High Stakes raised the bar… Brooklyn V might just break it."

Spotlights circle the crowd as the camera pans to the ring. At its centre: a black velvet-draped table, three podiums behind it, each with a sealed briefcase. A custom backdrop with the Lucky 7 logo glows in red, white, and neon gold. The crowd’s murmurs turn to cheers as Alicia Taylor lifts her mic.

ALICIA TAYLOR
"Please welcome back to NXT… MAURO RANALLO!"

There's a massive pop from the crowd as Mauro appears on stage, arms wide, feeding off the energy. He heads to the ring with a purpose.

MAURO RANALLO
"Las Vegas... tonight, seven competitors climbed, clawed, and crashed through chaos in the very first Lucky 7 Ladder Match. And now... it’s time to reveal their destiny."

He turns toward the stage.

MAURO RANALLO
"Introducing the three briefcase holders… beginning with The Bruiserweight...PETE DUNNE!"

Pete Dunne strides out slowly, his briefcase in hand like a blade sheathed for war. No nods. No smiles. Just cold, bitter focus.

MAURO RANALLO
"Next… a man who’s climbed from rags to riches and always found a way to come out on top… CAMERON GRIMES!"

Cameron Grimes bounces out full of nervous energy, slapping hands on the ramp, but there's a flicker of unease in his eyes. He knows the stakes.

MAURO RANALLO
"And finally… a man who fought through pain, betrayal, and a war to get here… KYLE O’REILLY!"

Kyle O'Reilly walks to the ring to a roaring ovation, quiet and measured, briefcase in hand, eyes already scanning Dunne and Grimes.

All three men stand behind their respective podiums. The camera circles them with slow, cinematic focus.

MAURO RANALLO
"Gentlemen. One of you holds the Ace of Spades — a guaranteed NXT Championship match. Another holds the King of Diamonds — a title shot at any other NXT championship of your choosing. And one of you… holds the Joker — your NXT contract terminated effective immediately."

The crowd grows quiet. A drumbeat swells faintly beneath Mauro’s words.

MAURO RANALLO
“But before these cases are opened… Nigel McGuinness has given each of you has one final choice. A veto. If you use it, your briefcase will remain sealed. You walk away with nothing… but your contract intact. If you open it… you accept whatever fate lies inside.”

There's a tense pause. The three men look to each other to see if anyone will veto their opportunity. Grimes shakes his head defiantly, while Kyle plays it cool and simply looks to the floor. Dunne gives a confident smile, seemingly unphased by the offer.

Tension hangs but no one steps forward.

MAURO RANALLO
"Very well. Kyle… you retrieved your briefcase first. Let’s begin with you."

O’Reilly gives a faint nod. He unlocks the case carefully, slowly opening the lid.

CLOSE-UP: A single glittering card — the King of Diamonds.

VIC JOSEPH

"The King of Diamonds! Kyle O’Reilly can now challenge for any NXT title… except the top prize."

The crowd applauds with a mix of excitement and curiosity.

MAURO RANALLO
"Kyle - the King of Diamonds. You won’t be challenging for the NXT Championship… but you can face any other champion in NXT. How does it feel, knowing that tonight you’ve earned a golden ticket — even if it’s not the Ace?"

Kyle nods, taking a breath as the crowd settles down. He looks out toward the audience, then lifts the card with quiet pride.

KYLE O’REILLY
"You know what, Mauro? I’m good with this. The King of Diamonds might not be the Ace… but it still beats a lot of hands."

Light cheers. He continues, earnestly.

KYLE O’REILLY
"This right here — it’s a symbol. A symbol that I’ve stepped out of the shadows and made it on my own. No Adam Cole. No Undisputed Era. No tag team safety net."

He pauses for a moment before addressing the tag division directly.

KYLE O’REILLY
"MSK — I love you guys, but don’t worry. I’m not coming back for the tag titles. I’m moving forward."

O’Reilly then turns slightly toward the camera.

KYLE O’REILLY
"I guess, whoever walks out tonight with the North American Championship - you’re on notice. And Ciampa, buddy... the same goes for you."

The crowd cheers again — this time louder. Kyle raises his briefcase with one arm, the King of Diamonds card displayed proudly.

The ring is quiet again. Mauro returns to centre stage as Pete Dunne and Cameron Grimes stand on opposite sides, their briefcases still unopened.

MAURO RANALLO
“Ladies and gentlemen, with the King of Diamonds already revealed by Kyle O’Reilly, only two cards remain: the Ace of Spades… and the Joker.”

The audience buzzes with anticipation. Mauro gestures between the two men.

MAURO RANALLO
“One guarantees a future shot at the NXT Championship… the other ends a Superstar’s contract tonight. Gentlemen — open your briefcases.

Dunne’s cold stare doesn’t flinch. Grimes look almost queasy with nerves. With simultaneous clicks — they unlatch the locks.

I”n perfect sync, they lift the lids. Dunne immediately grins and raises the Ace of Spades high overhead. Grimes stares blankly at the Joker in his case. The crowd erupts in a mix of gasps and stunned silence.

MAURO RANALLO
“Mama Mia! Pete Dunne holds the Ace — a guaranteed NXT Championship match… but Cameron Grimes has drawn the Joker.”

MAURO RANALLO
“Pete Dunne… you have earned a future NXT Championship opportunity. How are you feeling right now?”

Grimes doesn’t move. The arena breaks into a spontaneous “THANK YOU GRIMES” chant. Kyle walks over and gives him a pat on the back. Grimes finally closes the case gently, and nods to the fans as he steps aside.

Dunne raises his card smugly.

PETE DUNNE
“I told you. I told all of you. NXT is mine now.”

He steps into the centre with a sneer, turning toward the hard cam.

PETE DUNNE
And the king? Just pulled the ace.

Grimes moves to leave, but Dunne blocks his path, raising the Ace slightly in his direction.

PETE DUNNE
“Off you go then, mate. You don’t belong in my ring anymore.”

Mauro steps between the two, trying to defuse the situation.

MAURO RANALLO
“Come on, Pete. Show a little respect.”

PETE DUNNE
“Respect? He rolled the dice and came up short. No one wants to hear him whine. He played the game, and these are the consequences.”
he pauses, a mischievous grin emerging on his face. “...but I am a generous guy. If you get down on your knees and kiss the feet of your king… I might just make you my butler.”

The crowd explodes in boos. Grimes doesn’t respond at first. He closes the case, eyes flickering as he looks around the arena — thousands chanting “GRIMES! GRIMES!” He exhales deeply.

Then suddenly — HEADBUTT! Grimes drives his forehead straight into Dunne’s nose, staggering the Bruiserweight backwards. Dunne is stunned.

The crowd ERUPTS.

Dunne charges, but Kyle O’Reilly steps in quickly, keeping the peace. Security lingers at the ramp, unsure whether to act.

MAURO RANALLO
“Cameron—Cameron—please. I know what that card means. But before you go, I think I speak for everyone in this arena when I say… you’ve earned the mic. One last time.”

The crowd starts clapping rhythmically. Grimes looks out over them, misty-eyed. He accepts the microphone slowly, nodding at Mauro.

CAMERON GRIMES
“…I guess it’s true. The house always wins." he chuckles, wiping his eyes. “But before I go, let me tell y’all something - I didn’t need a Million Dollar title. I didn’t need a lucky card. I made it to the top the old-fashioned way: grit, guts, and a whole lotta heart.” He then looks and points to Dunne. “And I might be gone from NXT… but you? You'll never have the love of the NXT Universe like I do.” He turns, pacing the ring, soaking it in one last time. “Thank you for every cheer, every chant, every damn ‘TO THE MOON!’ — I love you all, and I promise this ain’t goodbye. It’s just ‘til next time.”

Grimes gently lowers the mic and places the Joker card in the center of the ring. He starts to head toward the ropes… but pauses. He turns back, standing in the middle of the ring one final time.

CAMERON GRIMES
“…Y’know what? Just once more — for old time’s sake.”

He raises a finger into the sky and the entire crowd leans in with him.

CAMERON GRIMES & CROWD (in unison)
“TO! THE! MOOOOOON!”

The ovation that follows is deafening. Grimes grins wide, overcome by the moment. He steps through the ropes and walks up the ramp, slapping hands with fans along the way. At the top, he turns around for one final bow, holding his hand to his heart before disappearing backstage.

In the ring, Pete Dunne scowls, kicking the broken briefcase aside. Kyle O’Reilly watches him closely, the King of Diamonds card now safely tucked in his jacket.

VIC JOSEPH
“Grimes may have drawn the Joker… but he just walked out like a King.”

Fade to black.

Back live at Sam’s Town, the camera returns to the commentary desk where Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett are seated ringside. The energy from the previous segment still hums in the air.

WADE BARRETT
"I’ll be the first to say it — I didn’t like how Pete Dunne handled himself out there. Mocking Grimes like that? Completely unnecessary. But let’s not get it twisted. Pete Dunne is the King of NXT, and after tonight, he’s one step away from adding championship gold to match that crown."

VIC JOSEPH
"And that’s what’s at stake now, Wade — gold, legacy, dominance. Because coming up next, it’s our main event of the evening. Winner Takes All!"

The screen cuts to a high-impact video package. Scenes flash of destruction - Bronson Reed flattening opponents with the Tsunami, raising both the NXT and North American Championships. Then, LA Knight — cocky and grinning — lifting the Million Dollar Title, his words echoing over a smoky vignette.

LA KNIGHT (V.O.)
"I’m not just here to collect gold. I’m here to rewrite the legacy. NXT, North American, Million Dollar? They’re all getting upgraded — courtesy of the NEW People's Champion"

We see clips from earlier in the week: LA Knight unveiling the gaudy, over-the-top “Mega Championship” — dripping in jewels and ego. Bronson Reed watching, unamused.

SCOTT STANFORD (V.O.)
"Two champions. Three titles. One night to reshape NXT history."

WADE BARRETT (V.O.)
"Bronson Reed is the immovable object, the NXT Champion and North American Champion. But LA Knight? He’s the man with the master plan — and if that plan lands tonight, NXT gets a new centrepiece."

VIC JOSEPH (V.O.)
"Can Reed hold the line… or will the Megastar make his ultimate power play?"

The screen flashes: BRONSON REED vs. LA KNIGHT — WINNER TAKES ALL - NEXT.

We cut back , where Alicia Taylor stands centre-ring, the lights dimmed slightly.

ALICIA TAYLOR
“The following contest is your main event of the evening... and it is scheduled for one fall — with a Winner Takes All stipulation! The winner will leave Sam’s Town as the NXT Champion, the NXT North American Champion, and the Million Dollar Champion!”

"BATTLE TESTED" hits.

The arena goes dark, then pulses with deep bass. Spotlights flash in time with "Battle Tested", a gritty rock instrumental. Steam rises from the entranceway.

Bronson Reed steps out in a black-and-gold cape, his titles — the NXT Championship and North American Championship — proudly displayed over each shoulder. He stares down the aisle with intensity, jaw clenched.

The crowd rises with a loud pop for “The Colossal,” chanting “BRON-SON REED! BRON-SON REED!” as he pounds his chest and raises both belts overhead.

He storms down to the ring with purpose, climbing the apron and hoisting the belts again as golden pyro bursts from each corner. Reed removes the cape, placing both titles in the hands of the referee as he stands tall in the centre of the ring, ready for battle.

Suddenly, the lights flicker — a spotlight shines down on the entrance stage as Welcome to LA blares through the arena. The beat drops... and the curtain parts to reveal a full Vegas-style showgirl ensemble, glammed up in rhinestones and feathers, flanking a golden pedestal.

LA Knight emerges from a hidden lift beneath the stage, arms spread wide in a sparkling white and gold custom jacket. He’s holding the Million Dollar Championship over one shoulder... and in his other hand, he proudly displays the Mega Championship — a gaudy, oversized title he unveiled earlier in the week.

Red and gold confetti bursts into the air as he struts through the centre of the dancers, soaking in the spotlight. The crowd erupts into a mixture of loud boos.

He marches to the ring with smug confidence, climbing each step slowly, dramatically holding up his titles — one real, one delusional — for the cameras.

As he enters the ring, he shouts across to his oppnent:

LA KNIGHT
“YOU'RE LOOKIN’ AT THE MEGA CHAMP, YEAH!”

He hands off the Million Dollar Title and “Mega” belt to ringside, keeping his eyes locked on Reed. There’s electricity in the air as both men circle.

Alicia Taylor stands between the two competitors as the crowd buzzes. The referee holds up both the NXT and North American Championships. The Million Dollar Title rests on display at ringside.

The live crowd cheers loudly.

ALICIA TAYLOR
“Introducing first… to my left… weighing in at 330 pounds, from Adelaide, South Australia… he is the reigning NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion — THE COLOSSAL… BRONSON REED!

Reed raises both titles high, staring straight through LA Knight.

ALICIA TAYLOR
“And his opponent… to my right… from Los Angeles, California… weighing in at 240 pounds… he is the reigning Million Dollar Champion… L! A! KNIGHT!”

Knight opens his arms wide and shouts “YEAH!” to thunderous boos and scattered chants.

Alicia exits the ring. Senior official,
Jason Ayres, displays the three titles, hands them off, and checks both competitors before calling for the bell. The atmosphere is electric.

VIC JOSEPH
“Listen to this crowd! You can feel the energy inside Sam’s Town — we are moments away from the biggest match of Bronson Reed’s career… and maybe LA Knight’s biggest scam.

WADE BARRETT
“Scam? Vic, you call it a scam, I call it ambition. Knight’s got the Million Dollar Title, he’s unveiled the Mega Championship, and if he walks out of here with all three belts tonight — he’ll have pulled off the biggest takeover since… well, since TakeOver itself!”

VIC JOSEPH
“For weeks now, these two men have abided by a no-contact rule imposed by Nigel McGuinness when the match was made official. But tonight that rule is out the window. And make no mistake, Bronson Reed isn’t just defending championships - he’s defending the very spirit of NXT from a man who wants to rewrite it in his own image.”
With that Jason Ayres calls for the bell.

The bell rings.

The tension is palpable as the crowd in Sam’s Town Live rises to their feet. Bronson Reed stands grounded and composed in one corner, both the NXT Championship and North American Championship glinting under the arena lights. Across from him, LA Knight smirks arrogantly, draped in gold and holding his custom-designed Mega Championship like a prize already won.

They circle each other—Knight feinting and flexing, Reed calm and steady.

They lock up hard in the centre of the ring. Knight breaks free, slaps Reed across the face.

Reed responds with a thunderous pounce, sending Knight sprawling halfway across the ring. The crowd explodes.

WADE BARRETT
“Bold move, Vic. But the moment Knight crossed that line, he woke Aus-Zilla.”

Knight scrambles to the corner, looking stunned, clutching his back. Reed stomps forward and lays in heavy clubbing blows to Knight’s chest, backing him up into the turnbuckles. He whips Knight across the ring and follows in with a massive corner splash.

Knight stumbles out, right into a deadlift suplex by Reed, who holds it for a beat before planting him.

VIC JOSEPH
“He just threw LA Knight like he was a cruiserweight!”

Early cover...

ONE...

TWO...

Kick out.

Knight crawls toward the ropes, shaking his head. He grabs the middle rope, using it to lure Reed in and pulls it down at the last second—Reed spills to the outside.

Knight follows with a running baseball slide, knocking Reed into the barricade. He slaps the announce table and shouts to the crowd,
THAT’S WHAT A CHAMPION LOOKS LIKE!

He whips Reed into the steel steps, shoulder-first. Jason Ayres yells for them to get it back in the ring. Knight slides Reed under the bottom rope and goes for a pin.

ONE...

TWO...

Reed powers out with authority.

Knight drives knee after knee into Reed’s ribs, softening the big man up. He bounces off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Another cover—

ONE...

TWO...

NO!

Knight slams the mat in frustration, then stands and delivers repeated stomps to the head and neck, trying to wear Reed down. He grabs Reed’s arm and tries to wrench in a submission, twisting into a grounded hammerlock. Ayres checks the hold.

The crowd begins rallying for Reed. He fights up to his feet, lifting Knight with him and ramming him into the corner. He breaks free, charges back in—Knight dodges and Reed eats the ring post shoulder-first.

Knight climbs to the second rope and drops a diving axe handle to the back of Reed’s neck. With Reed down, Knight measures and hits his patented jumping neckbreaker, hooks the leg—

ONE...

TWO...

Reed kicks out again!

Knight rolls to the outside and pulls his custom Mega Championship belt from beside the timekeeper’s area. He eyes it like a weapon. Jason Ayres warns him sternly, forcing Knight to reluctantly toss it aside.

VIC JOSEPH
“He’s trying to end this with a shortcut — but the referee won’t have it!”

Knight turns—and Reed FLATTENS him with a suicide dive!

The crowd roars!

Reed gets to his feet, chest heaving, and tosses Knight back in. He climbs the ropes—looking for the Tsunami—but Knight rolls away.

Suddenly, "The Mountain" Cal Lannister sprints down the ramp!

WADE BARRETT
“Here comes The Mountain! LA Knight’s insurance policy is cashing in!”

He hops on the apron and distracts Jason Ayres. Knight seizes the moment and grabs the Mega Championship again.

He charges at Reed—but Reed counters with a Samoan Drop!

Reed knocks Lannister off the apron with a shoulder block, sending the younger man tumbling to the floor.

Knight staggers to his knees—Reed lifts him for a powerbomb, but Knight rakes the eyes and hits a low dropkick to the knee.

Knight springs up to the top rope as Reed gets to his knees—

DIVING ELBOW DROP to the back of Reed!

ONE...

TWO...

WADE BARRETT
“This is it! We’ve got a new Mega Champion!”

NO!

K
night can’t believe it. He screams at Ayres, holding up three fingers. The crowd is electric.

Knight drags Reed up—looking for the BFT—but Reed shoves him into the ropes and hits a pop-up powerslam!

Reed bellows and ascends the turnbuckles.

TSUNAMI.

He crushes Knight.

ONE...

TWO...

THREE!
Winner: Bronson Reed via pinfall to retain the NXT Championship & North American Championships; Wins the Million Dollar Championship (18:32)

Jason Ayres retrieves all three championships and presents them to Reed. The big man stands tall on the middle rope, holding the NXT and North American titles high in one hand and the Million Dollar Championship in the other, the crowd roaring their approval.

WADE BARRETT
"Like him or not, LA Knight fought like a champion tonight. But Bronson Reed just proved why he is the man in NXT. Nobody can deny it now."

As Knight rolls to the floor, dazed and clutching his ribs, Cal Lannister helps him limp up the ramp. Knight glares back over his shoulder, seething.

The camera lingers on Bronson Reed, the mountain who now sits atop the summit. The camera cuts to the aisle.

Pete Dunne stands halfway up the ramp, still in his gear from earlier, clutching the Ace of Spades. He’s expressionless — cold, focused — eyes locked directly on Bronson Reed.

Reed tightens his grip on the NXT Title, his expression hardening. The cheers fade beneath the building tension as the camera captures this silent standoff — champion vs. challenger-in-waiting.
As Dunne turns to walk away, murmurs ripple through the crowd — a mix of anticipation and dread, knowing the Ace of Spades still lingers.

VIC JOSEPH
“There he is — the man who claimed the Ace of Spades earlier tonight. Pete Dunne unable to cash-in right now… but make no mistake, he’s made his move.”

WADE BARRETT
“Reed’s got three championships — but all it takes is one Ace to take the whole house down.”

Dunne gives the briefest smirk before backing away, disappearing into the shadows of the curtain.

Back in the ring, Bronson Reed raises the NXT Championship one last time — defiant, dominant… but now fully aware of the target on his back.

VIC JOSEPH
“"Tonight, the risks were real - and the winners, those who bet it all and survived the High Stakes."

WADE BARRETT
“We came to Vegas to gamble, and for some, the house paid out. For others? It cashed them out completely.”

VIC JOSEPH
“Catch the fall out this Tuesday on NXT. In the mean time, it's goodnight from NXT: High Stakes — we’ll see you next time.”

Fade to black.

FIN.

August 22, 2021. Backstage at Sam's Town, the atmosphere is quietly final.

The camera fades in to a dimly lit hallway. Bronson Reed walks slowly towards frame, still in his ring hear, hair damp with sweat. Slung over one shoulder: The NXT Championship. Over the other: the NXT North American Championship. In his hands? His newly won Million Dollar Championship.

He pauses at a quiet corner where, WWE Hall of Famer,
Ted DiBiase stands alone, watching monitors being packed away.

BRONSON REED
"Triple crown. NXT Champion. North American Champion. Million Dollar Champion."

He looks down at the Million Dollar title in his hands, contemplative.

BRONSON REED
"I earned the first two. Fought for them. Bled for them."
he pauses. "This one...came with Knight's baggage. I think it deserves better than to be a prop in someone else's story."

He gently holds it out to The Million Dollar Man. DiBiase looks down at it and takes it - respectful, appreciative.

TED DIBIASE
"You're a hell of a champion, Bronson. You've got more integrity than most men who ever held this. That says a lot!"
He smirks faintly, running his fingers across the gold.

TED DIBIASE
"And between us...I saw that Mega Championship Knight tried to bring in. Gold-plated, gaudy. over-designed trash. Probably cost him a fortune. Just goes to show - you can buy gold, but you can't buy taste."

The Colossal cracks a smile, nods and walks off without a word.

Enter
Cameron Grimes, still in his gear, duffel bag in hand. His hair is a mess. His body is bruised from the Lucky 7 ladder match. His posture is slumped. He sees the title in Ted's hands and pauses.

CAMERON GRIMES
"...So you got it back."

TED DIBIASE
"I did. I guess everything's come full circle."

The atmosphere is heavy. There's an elephant in the room. DiBiase goes to speak but Grimes beats him to it.

CAMERON GRIMES
"I knew the second I opened it. Felt like the world just...dropped out."

DiBiase says nothing - he just listens.

CAMERON GRIMES
"Thing is....I don't regret it. Not a damn second of it."

There's a long beat. DiBiase walks forward and hands him the Million Dollar title without a word.

CAMERON GRIMES
"That's not mine. I didn't win that."

TED DIBIASE
"No. But you earned it."

Grimes swallows hard, staring at the belt. The weight of the moment sinks in.

TED DIBIASE
"You walked into Vegas with heart, Cameron. With guts. You didn't cash in - you cashed out. And sometimes? That's braver."

Grimes looks away, trying to compose himself.

TED DIBIASE
"You fought like a man with nothing to lose and everything to prove. That's what this title always represented. Not money. Not power. Worth."

He claps Grimes on the shoulder.

TED DIBIASE
"Tonight...you proved yours."

Grimes finally takes the belt, gently. He doesn't wear it, he cradles it in his arms.

CAMERON GRIMES
"...So what now?"

TED DIBIASE
"Now? You go where the numbers take you. You always were a betting man. Just gotta find the next table."

Grimes nods. He looks emotional, but rather than crying, he exhales, trying to steady himself.

CAMERON GRIMES
"Then I guess I'll see you down the road, Mr DiBiase."

TED DIBIASE
"I'm countin' on it."

Grimes walks off, the Million Dollar title in hand - not as champion, but as a man who left everything in the ring. DiBiase watches him go with pride.

Fade to black.

NXT [EPISODE #471] "WHAT'S NeXT" PREVIEW

Hey everyone! I'm McKenzie Mitchell, and this is What's NeXT - your official rundown ahead of this week's must-see episode of NXT., fresh off the chaos of High Stakes!

Visuals roll of NXT TakeOver: High Stakes highlights - Bronson Reed holding three championships, Kyle O'Reilly clicking open his Lucky 7 briefcase to reveal the King of Diamonds, before cutting to Pete Dunne opening his briefcase to reveal the Ace of Spades card leaving Cameron Grimes with the Joker, Ember Moon returning to protect Tegan Nox and Shotzi from The Way, culminating with an Eclipse onto Indi Hartwell.

NXT-Divder.png[

Dunne-Segment.png

At High Stakes, history was made. Bronson Reed walked into the main event as NXT and North American Champion - and left with both titles and the Million Dollar title, winning it all in an epic Winner Takes All showdown with LA Knight.

But with gold on every shoulder, comes a target on every side - and someone already has him in their sights.

Fresh off his own war in the brutal Lucky 7 ladder match, Pete Dunne now holds the Ace of Spades, guaranteeing him a future shot at Reed's NXT Championship - anytime, anywhere.

And this week, The King of NXT is throwing himself a coronation celebration....but don't expect a party. Expect a message - to Reed, to the locker room, and the entire NXT Universe.

NXT-Divder.png[

Speaking of gold, the NXT Tag Team Champions, MSK survived an all-out triple threat to keep their titles at TakeOver, but if they thought the celebration would last long...they were wrong.

Legado del Fantasma, spoiled the party and they didn't come alone - after going back to Mexico to rediscover themselves, they returned at High Stakes with the man known only as El Gran Jefe, making their intentions very clear.

Wes Lee and Nash Carter are not ones to back down, but could this new direction for LdF prove to be a dangerous threat to their titles?

NXT-Divder.png[

Moon-vs-Frost-2.png

Meanwhile, Ember Moon made sent shockwaves through the Women's Division when she returned this past Sunday at High Stakes, helping Shotzi and Tegan Nox escape a post-match beatdown at the hands of NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta.

She's back and she's got something to prove, starting tomorrow night and she returns to action!

NXT-Divder.png[

Lannister-vs-Maverick.png

Also, The Mountain looks to shake off the disappointment of High Stakes as Cal Lannister faces Drake Maverick one-on-one. After failing to help LA Knight in the Winner Takes All main event, the tension in Knight's camp is rising.

And following a heated confrontation with newcomer, Tony D'Angelo, on the Kick-Off Show, Lannister hasn't exactly been making friends. Can he reassert his presence - or is he still trying to find his place?

NXT-Divder.png[

Strong-vs-Swerve.png

One match that could have major ripple effects across multiple divisions is a clash between Roderick Strong and Hit Row's Swerve Scott.

After a star-making performance in the Tag Team title triple threat, Swerve impressed fans and critics alike - even in defeat.

Meanwhile, Roderick Strong has been...off. Since the disbanding of Undisputed Era, he's struggled to find his rhythm, and with each loss, the frustration grows.

With egos, pride, and future opportunities on the line, who will pick up a much needed win?

NXT-Divder.png[

Aliyah-vs-Martinez.png

One woman who left High Stakes with a lot to answer for after High Stakes is Mercedes Martinez. She wasn't scheduled to compete, but her presence during the NXT Women's Championship match was impossible to ignore as she invertedly gave Raquel González the assist following her ringside appearance alongside Dakota Kai.

While Mercedes may have co-operated in giving Raquel the win, make no mistake about it, she still has one eye on the title herself.

But Franky Monet has championship aspirations of her own, declaring herself the next in line after her dominant win over Zoey Stark in the Viva Las Violence match on the High Stakes Kick-Off Show. With Monet backing Aliyah tomorrow night, this match could be The Brand's first step in seizing control of the division.

Will Mercedes shut them down? Or is this the start of a power play from The Brand?

NXT-Divder.png[

Plus, we'll hear from Kyle O'Reilly, having survived yet another brutal stipulation at High Stakes. With the King of Diamonds card in hand, Kyle holds a guaranteed opportunity for any NXT Championship except for the NXT Title.

Kyle has already narrowed his focus to Tommaso Ciampa's newly won Cruiserweight Championship and Bronson Reed's North American Championship, but which way will he go?

NXT-Divder.png[

And don't forget, as NXT reloads after TakeOver, the Superstar Shake-Up is underway! Catch up on
Raw to see everything that went down, and don't miss SmackDown this Friday, because your favourite NXT Superstars could be on the move!

That's all for tonight. I'm McKenzie Mitchell - thanks for watching, and we'll see you tomorrow night on NXT.
