I've never been huge on Hockey but I am going to try and follow it much closer this year.

Yeah, what Mitch said. They have an awesome team up front and on defense, but you never know quite what's going on with their goalie situation. But a shutout for Darcy Kuemper in the first game of the season is certainly a good start for him, even if he only had to save 16 shots.

Huge win by the Isles tonight. Brock Nelson is finally turning into the player they drafted 30th overall four years ago. Also huge game by Johnny Boychuk, he could be the dark horse Norris hopeful if he plays like he did tonight all season.

I always like the Islanders for some reason, guess it's because they've kinda been one of the ultimate underdogs in the NHL in recent years and that team finally seems to be coming together.

That's exactly why I like them as well, the Blue Jackets too.

I'm hoping my Wild weren't a fluke the other night. We'll see how well they hold together on the road tonight.

I still think the top 9 forwards are one of the league's best units. Who knows.

More than me, I've only been supporting them for a little bit trying to get more into hockey.

Well, they went and proved last night that they're going to be the real deal this season. Unless the Avalanche really ARE struggling that bad.

But it looked to me like Kuemper is the new goalie to be reckoned with in Minnesota. Kid has a bright future!

The Leafs murdered the Rangers, King Henrik majorly fell off his throne in this game. 6-2. I'm very happy though.

Not only are they scoring and winning, but their gameplay and pace just LOOKS so much better than it has in years.
