re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

So the Cowboys had Josh Brent on the sidelines yesterday. They were blasted for this by a lot of guys while others didn't think it was a problem. I'm interested to know what you guys thought of it. It's worth noting that Jerry Brown's mother reached out to the Cowboys and asked them to help Brent anyway they could.

I understand keeping him as a part of the team "family" so to speak, but I don't think having him on the sidelines of a nationally televised game was such a great idea... I know Brown's mother reached out to him and that is very admirable but again, no need for this guy on the sidelines, can't imagine Roger Goodell was super pleased to see it either

It was a team call. If the players don't think it was inappropriate, then it wasn't. He shouldn't have been on TV for it though and that's just the press stirring shit up. At first I was like WTF about it, but when the analysts kept bringing it up, I just realized they were stirring the pot. It's horrible what he did, but let's not pretend the player he killed wasn't aware he was riding with an intoxicated driver. They were both idiots for it, but Brent has to live with the consequences. If the other players aren't bothered he's there and actually want him to be, then it doesn't bother me either. We played the best game of the season yesterday so he clearly wasn't a distraction.

These are my thoughts as well pretty much. It's a team call, so if the team is okay with it then anyone else's opinions really don't matter.

Jets have damn good field position with 50 seconds left down by four and on the very first play of the drive, Sanchez fumbles the snap :lmao FUCK YES!

So glad the Jets are done. That's one less NFL soap opera to deal with.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

The commentary ont the Jets/Titans highlights on NFL.com, you know the guys, was the most hilarious thing I've heard all year. Rex Ryan fist pumping with under a minute to go 'cause they've still got a shot and then Sanchez fumbling the snap was just such a beautiful moment for me. Jets are a joke of a team. Media whores, snakey players and horrible QB's.

On a more positive note the Pack are division winners AGAIN. That's what's up.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Giants and Bears both in real danger of missing out on play-offs. It would be total nirvana if that happened.

Doubt it will though. Whilst the Bears have two road games to finish up, it's against 2 shitty teams in Arizona and Detroit.

Giants face Ravens and Eagles to finish. As much as I'll be rooting for the Ravens in that game, I can see Flacco throwing some INTs to gift wrap the East for the Giants. Ravens just aren't playing well and Flacco's going be under a lot of pressure to make stuff happen, especially if they can't get the run going early.

Yeah it was pretty embarrassing to watch. And Stephen Smith shut him the fuck down.

I saw the EP live and I just shook my head. Sadly there are too many black people who share his sentiments and it is just embarrassing that hen and others make being a black person seem like it is some kind of club you had to prove yourself to be apart of. Glad he got suspended and honestly thought he would get fired for it.

He just kept going and going and just got stupider and stupider. Stephen A. Smith was great though, I love that guy.
