It's very simple - if I'm scum with an execute in a 3/5 scenario we control the lynch. Winning is as simple as making sure we're all on when day opens and gun that shit. There's no need for a bus.

He killed Sully and then used exactly one action

If I am to believe he was attempting to frame you, then that means he didn't protect a mate. And his role doesn't just offer kill protection, he protects from ALL actions. That includes invests, and he used it on you. Why would he *not* use this ability?
