Threw spoilers up in the title for those who haven't seen RAW yet but if you have you'll know by now that Sheamus is your NEW US Champion! With the belt finally off of Ambrose (who had a pretty forgettable run if I'm being honest) it's time to see where we go from here. Sheamus has been subtly adding little bits of heel to his character for awhile, but will he go full-fledged as champ? Who do you see stepping up to the plate and challenging for the title in the near future? Is it possible that they put the belt on Sheamus to set up a unification bout with Bad News Barrett? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts about Sheamus being the new champ.

I think that Sheamus winning the US Title will only help further his inevitable heel turn. Maybe he can go all anti-american now that he's the US Champion, yeah it's been done to death with foreign wrestlers but it's all I can think of and I think Sheamus being a big Irish brute could make it work. Either that, or he can just turn into a bully but they did that with Ryback not too long ago.

I haven't been following close enough to notice the heel tendencies but I did find it odd that they would have him take the belt instead of a heel since the battle royal was a plan to screw Ambrose by The Authority. Then again, the battle royal could've been a way to give the belt to Sheamus without making him look like a bad guy by having to beat a worn out Ambrose. I do feel though that this title change is a sign that the belts won't be unified. Now we have a champion that can actually defend it and the midcard is hot, both the US and IC titles being defended on Raw looked good to me. If anything I'd make Sheamus a fighting champion, get a lot of good matches and have them interesting with the title on the line.

Not to be that guy, but the title change doesn't mean jack unless WWE starts booking their mid card titles better. If Sheamus goes anything like the last few champs, he'll be losing on TV a lot in no time. Hell, he's just started getting used to that after being protected for so long, it's like he's in training!

Look the title change to me is a lot like tna right now not enough to keep me interested in it. With that said I hope it brings back some prestige to the belt and they actually do something with it now.
