I remember it moving to Tuesday originally for a while and then moved to Wednesday on TV around when Dynamite started or was announced.

Comparing to Mania is especially baffling. People want WWE to be a victim so bad they're comparing a bigger company running the same night as a smaller one to....smaller companies literally piggybacking off of a bigger one for higher attendance? Think before you defend please

Bigger companies are the top of the food chain. AEW, TNA, Indie shows, etcetera have shows on the same night as WWE. They have their fan base and aren't taking much away from WWE.

No I mean they knew it was happening. I just mean for USA to want NXT, they had to get the Fox deal for SmackDown. I'm don't think they negotiated the Fox deal with the intention of getting SmackDown off USA to make room for NXT.

It went from WWE network to TV yeah and also they added an hour and went live. The timing was like a month before Dynamite bc that was about when SmackDown left for Fox too so that part mostly fits. They put a lot more effort into NXT than they did before but you could argue that it was bc it was on TV for the first time too.

I distinctly remembering arguing with people at the time that NXT didn't change days tho, so it's not even a false memory lol you're probably remembering people legit saying NXT changed says bc they were saying it at the time even though it didn't lol

the extra hour and live thing is it then. part streissand effect for sure but part ppl complaining about the day. I distinctly remember it was the fact they were going 2 hours head to head live that was the hot topic.

worked out good for nxt these days, its a better product for it but man, it had some growing pains just like dynamite!
