That was a great match, for sure! Shingo is another amazing performer. Njpw's depth is ridiculous

I was also impressed with White. His moveset is so good, varied and consistent with his finisher. He looks like an adult now with facial hair

Sidebar question: is Okada's rolling Rainmaker new? I could've sworn i didn't see it couple years ago..

Shingo looks like a future star in the heavyweight division. Awesome look. Can produce dope matches. Has shown he can hang with the big boys.

I also like White with the beard. Always been on the fence about him. Still not sure if he's long term main event potential but I won't dismiss him either.

As for Okada, I'm not sure. I've never paid that much attention I guess.

Not sure if you saw but after his match with Shingo, Mox was kinda poking fun backstage "he's no junior heavyweight he's like 240 lbs" lol

I get you on White. Honestly i like him cuz he's like a throwback to old-school WWF, ref fuckery and so on. Some of my favorite memories as a kid "will the Ref slow count to a 3??"

I'm pretty sure it is. Usually he would do a short arm Rainmaker, kickout. But now he does rolling Rainmaker, doesn't go for cover. Hits ripcord Rainmaker. 1-2-3. I like it cuz he's not going for the pin until it's in the bag.

My love for Shingo goes deep to his days when I first saw him in ROH. Shingo had one of the best G1 Climax performances I mean his Match with Ishii, Goto, and Naito all bad ass Matches. I need Shingo with the Junior Heavyweight or Tag Titles by the end of the Year please.

What do you guys think of Sanada and Evil? As single performers, that is.

For me: I was impressed with how well Sanada worked the crowd opening night of the g1, in a foreign country. I think he's kind of in an Ibushi situation (before Ibushi signed an exclusive contract), that he would've gotten a major push by now if he wasn't a freelancer.

Big fan of Evil's finisher, and the misdirection corner running ropes thing he does: "Fuck that, I'm not running to the ropes how you want me to." I love little things like that in a wrestler, show me something nobody else does and so on

I think SANADA is definitely a magnetic personality. If you watched NJPW and knew nothing of the wrestlers, you'd probably assume he's one of the top guys. I personally haven't been totally wowed by him in the ring but I haven't watched as much of him as I should either. He had good matches with Okada but is that really saying much?

I love EVIL's look. I love his name. I also appreciate that he's got a bit of an unorthodox style. Not sure what else to add to him. He isn't IWGP Heavyweight Champion material (imo) but I'd be down for an Intercontinental or US Heavyweight Title reign.

Well ok then.

Somewhere in the world, Jim Cornette is punching through some drywall.

It's never too late for the Midnight Express to make one more ride... or are we not supposed to feed him after midnight anymore?

By the way, @Smark Phoenix the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tour is a series of US shows. The first night is Sept. 27 in Boston. I'm sure you could score some seats fairly cheap. :hmm:

I've never been to a NJPW show so I might do that over Raw since I have been to Raw.

And I will be going to the WWE SummerSlam week in Boston next year.

It's weird, though, because SmackDown is the Friday before.

Tickets appear to be in the $50 range so not bad price wise either.

You'll prolly never have another opportunity to see Jushin Liger live. I think that's worth 50 bones. :swamps
