-- Karl Anderson of New Japan Wrestling revealed on Twitter how much he earns from the promotion. He wrote, "To set the record straight, for all you marks that keep asking me, I make $640,000 a year, downside. And ppv bonus for when I pop the house."

That makes it over $53.000 per month, or over $12.000 per week.

Weird how he would reveal it on Twitter, but that's great fucking money. A lot more than some guys in WWE.

Why do u think Bernard (A-Train, Tensai) nearly denied a big WWE contract? Because he was earning a fucking ton of money in NJPW, and he would accept a bigger offer from the WWE. Later, they did offer him even bigger contract and he accepted.

True, reportedly Trips and Taker wanted Tensai back in the company real bad.
Yeah, I remember that. All that for nothing really as he's just jobbing with Brodus now.

He's an older talent there to help the youngsters and he makes a ton of money dancing on TV. I'd want his job. Plus he's trying out commentary now.

Bernard's first contract was 100K per year, plus bonuses. I think that one expired in 2009/10, he extended it to reach bigger numbers, so I reckon he was making good money before going to the 'E, but definitely not what Karl's making right now. Still, 100K for the first contract is rather impressive for a gaijin tag team wrestler coming to the company when Meltzer was predicting their death on a monthly basis.
