I don't know how old you are, honestly don't give a shit, but, when I was a kid, society was not full of the sensitive people it is filled with now. Pretty sure bubblegum pop music is higher on the popularity scale than rap music is (and lets not forget how much rap music is censored....BECAUSE OF SOCIETY BEING FULL OF PUSSIES), and people whined about GTA V and the torture scene. It's a fucking video game. You have to be careful what you do and say in this day and age because someone is going to get offended by it. They could, you know, just ignore it and look the other way, but, people choose not to, they choose to cry like a bunch of babies.

The last part of my post went way over your head. Like, WAY over your head. It had nothing to do with playing with strangers. Laughing my fucking ass off right now. It actually had to do with how society judges things. It's a stupid mindset to have. Everyone is judgemental, more than they really need to be, and everyone gets offended by such small matters instead of just walking away (by everyone I don't mean literally everyone).

Hopefully, you can return and respond with a little less dirt on your panties. A friendly discussion is better than a bitter one.
My post really wasn't hostile. Yours on the other hand...

Anyway, the main point I was making (which you seem to have missed) is that WWE sucks because WWE sucks. Society had nothing to do with it. It's lazy booking, simple as that.

As for all that other shit, well, I'm pretty sure people have been bitching and complaining all throughout human history. The only difference today is facebook, twitter, internet, etc. And now we have people like you who are bitching about the bitching. And then people like me who are bitching about the people bitching at the bitching. In the end, though, it's really not worth bitching about.

And I understood the last part of your post as well, I was simply extending it to ridiculous proportions and criticizing the result, which was exactly what you were doing with the example itself.

Anyway, you have your attitude and I have mine. We'll have to agree to disagree, I guess.

Of course the WWE sucks because the WWE sucks. I never once said that things like the writing are not absolute bullshit. In fact, most of the posts I have ever made about wrestling sucking now have been about the horrible writing. I've been watching wrestling since the 80's, it was very kid friendly back then, and the writing was better. No issue with that point at all, however, back then, they still had storylines that raised eyebrows, yet, the reactions weren't really like they would be now.

Sgt. Slaughter had death threats back when he was a heel. Before that, he was an American hero. Once he flipped sides during the war, people threatened to kill the guy. That's pretty outrageous...but, the gimmick was still able to go on for a while. After 9/11, there was controversy over the sound of planes in an entrance theme (brain freeze, forget who it was now) I mean....really? We can't even have the sounds of a plane in an entrance theme because of 9/11?

Then, there was the controversy over Hassan and his 'terrorist' scenario with the Undertaker. I get it, bad timing, the London bombings just happened, but, I think it was actually taped before the bombings took place, though, terrorists have always been around. There are in a shit ton of movies, TV shows, etc., so we are going to be up in arms over a bunch of dudes who are 'dressed up as terrorists', kidnapping a wrestler? It's television, it's a script, it isn't real, why are we bothering to worry about this kind of thing? There have been movies and shows come out that involved terrorists since 9/11, what difference has it made? The US has no problem with drones, why do we get upset over terrorist plots on TV shows when kids are dying because our government doesn't give two shits?

I guess I might be diving in a little deeper than I should be, but, my attitude towards people complaining about things is just basically 'who cares'? We can't censor everything in the world because certain events happened, that's just ridiculous, yet, there will always be a picket line of people complaining. A lot of parents expect the world to be full of rainbows and happy chocolate bunnies dancing in circles.

I didn't mean for my post to be full of obnoxious dickheadedness, I just get passionate about my opinions and talk different than most people, I guess. None of it is out of anger, I just sit here and calmly chat, I just use words I suppose most people wouldn't when it comes to describing things.

I see your points, and I pretty much agree. I guess I'm just a little skeptical on how many people are actually complaining and whether or not the complaining actually amounts to anything. I never really see many complaints personally, but maybe that's just me. I agree about the double standard between wrestling/TV as well. I guess people can be a little more sensitive about pro wrestling because of kayfabe, the veneer of realism. Pretty stupid, but people are. Anyway, sorry if my posts came across sullen or bitter. I'm not on my period, just a little tired, lol.

And, back to the OP:
Of course they're concerned about new talent and new contracts having a history of working porn or some such. If a new talent has such a history, they're not going to get a WWE contract and, if they lie about it, their contract will be terminated. As JBL never hesitates to point out, WWE is an NYSE traded company that has a certain image to uphold. And, in the current era, the worst thing that can happen, from a corporate standpoint, is to have a highly-visible employee's sextape come out and besmirch their reputation. When your company relies on their image for your profits and your stockholders' earnings, having a negative image (whether it's due to porn in their past or drug use or criminal activity) affects everybody's bottom lines. It's not exactly an issue limited to WWE. It's widely talked about in corporate boardrooms around the world, particularly in the U.S.

As for situations like Chyna's recent porn exploits, I'm pretty sure she knew what she was getting into when she started into that industry. Having said that, WWE does still have Sean Waltman (co-star of 1 Night in Chyna) and Shawn Michaels (and the infamous Playgirl shoot) under contract, so I don't know that Chyna's recent past would keep her from working with WWE in some kind of one-time or limited-range appearance.

I have a feeling this new language will apply mainly to people they're bringing into NXT (and, finally up to the main roster). It actually makes me wonder which recent NXT Divas (or former Divas) they've found sextapes of.

So... I can take a pic of Cena shirtless at a club, upload it and they may fire him?! JK, but I can do that to ruin newcomers' career

I think this is a good addition to their contract. It intends to not only protect the image of the company but to ensure that they're signing the right superstars and divas that have a good reputation and will reflect positively on the company. Given some of the problems in the past with some employees, I think this helps prevent any further scandals.

Think about it, though, should something they did a decade ago really matter now? Even if they did something yesterday, that doesn't mean they will do it while employed. the whole scandal part of things has always been so stupid. Oh, look, this person has become a success, lets discuss photos they took before they were employed because we have no lives!

I can understand if they sign a contract that prevents them from doing these things while employed with the company, but, other than that, it's just stupid to me, and people are stupid for feeling they need to bring up something someone did before they were employed. Just honestly sounds like jealousy to me when someone does that. They see someone has made something of themselves so others have to do what they can to pull them down, and, if society has to go so low as to dig in to the personal life of someone, wow, just wow.
