Why even bother to look at their lineup? There's no way in hell they were going to trade a top 5 player and get better on the court. The bigger problem is the financial situation. If they're going to give Lopez a long max contract (yeesh), they still have Hedo on the books for likely the next 2 years at $12M per and Davis for the next 3 at $7M per. Not exactly an ideal foundation to build on. But they'll be loaded with draft picks and they're reasonably well-positioned to re-load in a few years if they manage to draft well.

True like I said I felt they should have tried or try to get Marshon Brooks in that deal as they needed a young scoring guard with or without Dwight so they could damn sure use him now going into rebuilding mode.

Hedo final year isn't fully guaranteed, it's half guaranteed if they buy him out before free agency starts that year

I forgot about the Camby deal today, so they got Toney Douglas as their only PG. Parsons also had his option picked up, so he is their only SF.

They literally only have one perimeter guy at the 1,2, and 3 with a bunch of 4s and 5s, while also trying to bring in Asik

Houston has Lamb @ SG and Livingston @ PG, as well.

Anyway, as for the Orlando deal, it is what it is. Orlando needs to rebuild, and part of that is being terrible. This deal clears tons of money off of the books, acquires a decent C in return, and makes Orlando terrible. Which is ideal. I don't want Orlando to become Houston, just sitting in the fucking corner for a decade making pointless moves and end up 1 game out of the playoffs every year. Just let the ship sink, use the picks they acquire in the deal and their own picks, and try to build from there.

With that said, I obviously hate the deal because I don't want to watch a 15-20 win team (that's being generous) for the next 3-5 years, but...Oh well. It'll suck, because it'll be the only time the Magic have been bottomfeeders since I've been a fan of them. But, it's necessary, so whatever.

Lmao at Dwight being a punk ass and telling him directly he doesn't want to go to LA because he doesn't want I live up to expectations of Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, and Mikan

LMFAO

Andrew what you think about that? Winning titles easy

give me Bynum over that pussy ass attitude becaus it dont belong in that jersey, as every year you ain't winning is a failure for Laker greats

I dot like the mentality. You should look at the names up there and say fuck it, I'm going up there and being remembered as better than them all. Afraid of their shadow or expectations is bs. I remember Kobe in 96 out of high school proclaiming he would play in 10 finals and win more than them all when he was introduced at 17. I watched tapes of Magic saying he would be better than West and Goidrich with that smile in his first preseason interview. I just don't get it, seems like a challenge you should want to take IMO. Kareem promised, guaranteed more rings than Wilt. Wilt and West guaranteed a title and followed through. Shaq talked mad shit about how they would dominate when Phil came and run shit. Worthy talked shit and guaranteed rings and living up to the legacy. Hell Fisher on the DVD for the last title before game 3 in the locker room swore they would beat boston

I want Dwight for the talent but damn it he pissed me off SAS is telling the truth, which I believe he is as he said that is what Dwight told him directly yesterday. I don't get it in comparison to West, Goodrich (used to announce on NBA tv and said he never expected to lose), Worthy, Magic, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, Fish, Horry, and a lineage of role players. Don't compute for me as Nash even went on espn radio and said title or bust. I just can't get it.

It's like when Lebron and wade ducked Chicago cause of MJs past, yet Kibe said trade me there and I'll win. I just can't fathom the mentality of being scared of ghosts If you are the best. It would be like Cena saying dont give me the belt because I'm not Austin

Kobe actually said "trade me to Chicago...wait, shit, you want Chicago's good players back? Fuck that."

All he wanted to keep was Hinrich and Deng.

Besides Pierce once said trade the pick and Al or trade me, which resulted in Allen and KG, same way Kobe's tirade got him Ariza, Pau, and Shannon.

Anyhow I'm just saying i don't get that mentality. I mean think about when you were a kid sal. Assuming you played ball at some level, even if it is baseball or football, there were times you envisioned beating an all time great or being better than them, weren't there?

The "Winners" Circle
Tim Duncan (3 years, $34 mil) & Boris Diaw (2 years, $9 mil) stay with Spurs,

Blake Griffin gets the super max $95 mil, 5 year extension (holy shit).

Rashard Lewis takes the 2 year vet minimum ($1.35 mil) in Miami (2nd year not guaranteed).

Lou Williams to the Hawks on a multi-year deal.

Bulls decline options on C.J. Watson & Ronnie Brewer. Do pick it up on Kyle Korver.

Devin Ebanks re-sings with Lakers.

Timberwolves sign Russian guard Alexey Shved.

Grant Hill is retiring. Pretty unexpected, especially considering he'd be able to choose between 3 championship caliber teams (Lakers/Heat/Thunder).
