Watched the Nash pc and god only Mike Brown would say he envisions Kobe and Nash playing pick and roll together as a primary play. Potato head in full effect

Dream Team would rape any team in history.

2012 Olympic Team is just promoting itself. Nothing more. Doesn't even need to be looked in to.

The Dream Team was a team to behold. It had size, it has skill, it had sharp shooters, it had everything. It was the Dream Team for a reason. It had all the stars that one would dream to be on the team.

The current team... yeah they are athletic but the question is how do they play together. We saw how well the dream team played so right now... Dream Team would mop the floor with them. Once we see how this team plays we'll know better how they'd stack up. So for now I'd say 1992 would beat the 2012 team. Now 1992 vs. 2008... that'd be a challenge.

Larry Bird on whether current Olympic team could beat Dream Team:

"They probably could. I haven't played in 20 years and we're all old now."

I don't hunk people remember how Magic, Bird, Stockton, and Drexler struggled with penetration even while hand checking much lesser athletes. Still say the dream team wins the inside battle, but the outside battle is lopsided outside MJ and Pip.

Good point got brought up though about how with today's rules MJ would have been even more scary scoring as he still dominated with more defensive friendly rules back then. So MJ in his prime now would probably be on some 40-50 points per game type shit

But anyways apparently for whatever reason the Rockets don't care if Dwight wouldn't resign with them they amnestied Scola and gonna try and go all in trying to trade for Howard. Would be kinda funny as he'd be in a worse situation than he is now.

I really hope Dwight is traded to Houston, especially considering they now have the cap room to take on Hedo, J-Rich AND Duhon's terrible contracts. The only bad contract left over would be Baby's, but if he can continue to play well, it'll be worthwhile.

MJ in his prime he had a shorter 3pt line, zone was illegal so you couldnt just sit in an area like now to tilt the floor, and he could hand check you with those mitts. He would be a great scorer but his D wouldn't be as vaunted neither would Scottie's if they couldn't push you where they wanted you to be

Honestly don't think that would have made a difference with MJ. Playing against rugged D that the bad boy Pistons played for example is a hell of a lot easier than playing against a zone which honestly isn't that tough to play against just need to be able to shoot (when it comes to zones like 2-3) which obviously Mike was one of the best ever at.

But yeah seems like Houston got a shot at landing Howard just out of effort. Dunno what they plan on doing to actually build around him if they did get him but I don't see anything they could do to get him to stay.

You don't think a guy who want a good 3pt shooter with a shorter line would be impacted by the zone? I think he would get more free throws from touch calls, but I also think he would pick some up because what was called good hard ball then is called dirty and flagrant now sadly

What I'm saying is idc what D you played against MJ he wasn't gonna be stopped. Let alone defense not being played as good now as it was back then where the rules are more geared toward offense so I think he'd have a much easier time. A great shooter is a great shooter no matter where the line is.

What about if Lebron played back in MJ's era? How would it benefit or be a detriment to him?

He could probably handle the physical play so I think his numbers would be the same though he might not get some of those petty calls that he gets now at times. Guy is freakish right now with his physical presence and skills so he would have probably been even more hailed in high regard back then.

Melo could play then too. I think Durant would get the shit beat out him though without some weight.
