Fans begin to be mad...

As the NBA lockout continues, the blowback from fans has become a bigger issue on social media platforms such as Twitter.

Many NBA fans have talked about how they will send a message of their displeasure by not renewing their subscription to NBA League Pass.

Howard Beck of the New York Times has re-Tweeted several such edicts.

A re-imagined version of the NBA logo has also began to appear. The 'Logo' is holding a bag of money with the word 'BOYCOTT' written across the top.

This logo first began appearing on October 24th on the blog IGoHardNow.com

Ratings for Game 1 of the 2011 NBA Finals were up three percent from the previous year and up 15 percent over Game 1 of the 2006 NBA Finals, which also featured the Heat and Mavericks.

For the 10-11 regular season, games on ABC were up 38% from the previous season. TNT saw a gain of 42% and ESPN had a gain of 28% from 09-10.

This image, created by Mike Brenkus (@cre8ive_juice) has appeared as the avatar of several Twitter accounts of NBA fans:

Both are greedy, The owners want more, and if they accept 52% BRI for the players, they'd be getting more, but no, they want the players to go down to 50%. So I'm more on the players side, but both sides are fucking greedy pigs and they need to acknowledge that the money they'd be making, is because of their large fanbase.

Paul George and Nick Young both called out Michael Jordan on twitter.

The guy who once told the wizards owner to sell if he couldn't afford to keep his team competitive without handouts, is leading a group of owners (Sarver, Allen, and Gilbert his main supporters) who want a 37/63 split of the BRI and revenue sharing.

I wonder how his Jordan Brand stars feel about him trying to do them in the ass with no lube.

In my opinion, both sides can go fuck themselves. I mean, I know, it is a lot of money and shit.. but as it was many times before said itt, they are so fuckin' greedy it hurts. I mean, they ruined the season for me. I'm a huge NBA fan and all.. and this sickens me. They should care more about the fans if you ask me.

But to go from 57% to the 37% Jordan's group is wanting, wouldn't that piss you off if you were offered that?

I mean the players bent according to details on the luxury tax being higher, an amnesty that sees the player get their money that they are owed over a longer period of time than the previous clause, deals being shortened by a year, apay percentage increases decrease by 2 percent, and a shorter mle. At some point you have to stick to your guns and bird rights and the bri are it. They aren't trying to go below 52% which is understandable given the face they would be giving up 5% and making other concessions.

37%? The fuck kind of shit is that. They're out of their minds if they even think that would even be considered.

Jordan's group got the double stink eye according to Soero Dedes in today's meeting. They came with the 37/63 split to screw the players and another proposal asking for more revenue sharing amongst teams which basically puts those owners versus Dolan/Cuban/Buss/Arison.

MJ going to get a hit put out on his cheap ass.

This latest deal has me siding with the players are there getting the shaft. Have until Wed to accept a 51% revenue split or it's going down to 47% with a flex. Using bully tactics isn't going to get this done, can't believe the league won't budge on the split/

I just wonder what in the world happened to the whole deal is 95% done report from a few days ago. To go from that to trying to ass fuck the players saying you only get 37% is insane.

Derek Fisher is stupid for saying, "Today was another sad day for our fans, for arena workers, our parking lot attendants, our vendors. Very frustrating, sad day," when its the owners who need the money so they can continue to pay the arena workers, parking lot attendants, and vendors.

Hope you guys have your spreadsheets ready like I do preparing for some fantasy basketball, because I am confident this lockout is coming to an end very shortly.

Also 1,000 posts. Holy shit. 100% of them have been in the sports section, lol.

850 probably being the fantasy league, lol.

I had hope the lockout would end until I heard what the owners were trying to do. A lot can change as right when it seemed like the NFL lockout was gonna spill into the season all of a sudden a deal got made. So hoping for the same to happen with the NBA but don't seem likely.

I can't believe that the lockout is still continuing. I don't know why they can't just agree to a 50/50 split of the revenue. Most of these teams ran at a loss last year so the teams needed a bigger cut than they were getting so that all the teams stay alive. Just make it fair with 50/50, the players are still making millions upon millions each season. All this is doing is turning the fans against the teams and players. Hopefully common sense prevails and both sides agree on a deal ASAP.
