In NBA News Today.

CP3

  • The Celtics had a trade for Chris Paul according to Peter Vescey all agreed to, but Chris Paul told them through his agent point blank he won't stay in Boston, so that got shot down.
  • The Lakers have been negotiating with them some more according to Stein, Bucher, and Adande, and the Hornets have softened on their stance of taking Pau back.
  • The Clippers will not include Gordon in a deal and Jordan will not agree to be sent there as he is a RFA and can decide if he wants to go there or not as they have a one year ntc.
  • Also been reported that once Paul is dealt, the Hornets want to use their cap space on Nene and Barea to go with their new pieces

Caron "Tough Juice" Butler

  • He has been offered 7mil by the Clippers and Nets
  • He has been offered 5mil by the Spurs and Bulls
Richard Jefferson

  • He is the first casualty of the amnesty clause
Superman

  • Orlando Magic President is on record saying they will try to get him help, and if that doesn't work he won't walk away like Shaq did in the summer. So one can assume he will be traded if they fail on Chris Paul
Tyson Chandler

  • The Warriors want him, but the Rockets also have made a bid, and Nets have a meeting lined up at Deron's request to play with him.

Mavs

  • Reports say that Barea, Caron, and Chandler are all out
Grant Hill

  • The Knicks are reportedly where he is leaning with Melo, Amare, and a guaranteed starting guard spot, and his wife wants them just like last time.
Heat

  • Shane Battier and Kwame Brown are their targets reportedly

Caron will be a good pick up for any of those teams mainly the Bulls and Nets. And sounds like it's not as much of a sure thing that they will trade Howard afterall but who knows.

I wonder if they have the balls to do it come all star weekend in Orlando. I basically took it as they get him this great talent or they deal him by a certain time, so they don't get Shaq'd. Funny enough, Shaq is saying don't leave and think about going to LAL to him according to reports which had John Ireland cracking up about how Shaq would hate having to see him in that uniform and possibly winning more rings than him, while Kobe's count also goes up.

I like Caron for the Clippers and Nets, not the Bulls or Spurs. I think Caron should go to Jersey, Prince to the Clippers for a veteran leader and fender who has been there and won, Wince to the Spurs because they still need someone who can create a shot, and the Bulls getting Crawford

Just noticed u added Hill on there and really hope he comes back to Phoenix plus I thought it was either retire or finish up w the Suns. Guy pretty much reinvented himself here and has been as healthy as ever thanks to the medical staff.

His wife has a new cd coming out in a couple of months, and NY offered him a starting spot at SG according to reports. If I was him, I'd go to New York as well. You have a coach you know, Melo and Amare are better than anyone on your old team, and your wife has put her career on hold for you the past couple years so you owe her. I mean is it really that logical to stay in Phoenix if Nash could be dealt this year with his deal being an expiring , or to rely on Sarver making moves to get you in the playoffs?

Playing with Melo, Amare, and Billups in MSG is a big deal. I get him and Kidd saying no years ago, but now the roles are totally reversed

They aren't dealing Nash Owner already came out and was upfront about how he would not be traded and Nash doesn't wanna go elsewhere. As for Hill makes sense guess that just changed his mind about it since it was pretty much PHX or retire. Like I said do have to keep in mind his health and how thats a big reason why he was loving the suns so we'll see

NBA TV did a piece on if they would trade Nash or not and should they. Kerr said he would have dealt him if he was still GM, Barkley agreed as well in it, which is why I thought they might be considering it.

Last I heard it was pretty much an straight up Nash is going no where. Pretty much was just a rumor that kept going around but they weren't really shopping him. Nash will sign a new deal he said but only if they were gonna try to improve the team.

SI just reported that Curry has been assured he won't be traded, and that Paul has said he will only extend with LAL or NYk

Wasn't aware that Curry was even gonna be possibly dealt anyways. As for Paul I don't even know if NYK got enough pieces to deal 4 him esp since they all got used to get Melo

It never was a sure thing. Otis hasn't gotten a direct answer from Dwight, and thus has not discussed a trade with anyone.

LMAO @ Paul telling the Clippers and Warriors through his agent according to sources, "it ain't personal, it's business" as to why he won't sign with them as opposed to extending with the Knicks and Lakers. I wonder what it is with Boston because all reports say he has told them he would walk this summer if they even tried to trade him

Like I said the lockout was never about parity or stopping super teams and big markets, it was about getting a bigger cut of the Bri and more revenue sharing. The players ain't bitching out and looking at Minnesota or Milwaukee and so on, outside of the amnesty auction victims

I don't even like the guy, but it is funny as hell to me that he is being blunt and not pussy footing around with his future.

I don't give a fuck about any of these rumors until Free Agency actually officially starts. The headline changes on a nightly basis, it's all bullshit.

Tomorrow Paul will be heading to New York or Indiana and Dwight Howard will be going to Phoenix. stfu.

I wish lol

But yeah rumors change daily and Paul could end up with a team we haven't even heard about being in it to trade for him for all we know. I could see why he wouldn't want to extend wit Boston considering while he'd have a shot at a championship they are a aging roster. Hornets would probably love to trade him to Boston though considering they'd get Rondo in return more than likely.
