The show would begin with an Eight Man Tag Team match that would see the foursome of Caprice Coleman, Cedric Alexander, El Sueno and SharkBoy defeat The Front Line & Scorpio Sky in a fun, but competitive match to open the night.

Peter Avalon would be filmed pushing into Goldberg’s private locker-room and attacking Goldberg with his title belt. Goldberg was due to face Ricky Banderas later tonight, with the winner getting to face Avalon later down the line. It seemed that Avalon had no interest at all in facing Goldberg if he could help it.

PAC would defeat Pepper Parks in the first title match of the evening, with the Newcastle born wrestler becoming the new Hollywood Champion and winning his first belt since signing with the NWA.

The Super Smash Bros and The Knights would meet in an intense tag team contest, with the crowd not be disappointed by the performance of either team. It would be Uno and Dos though that would claim the victory, with the Smash Bros most likely wanting to get back into the title scene. The Knights would stay in the ring, and thank the fans for all their support but would announce that this had been their last match with the company and they there were moving on.

The National Championship would be on the line in a fatal four way with Gresham having to compete with Josh Alexander, Cash Wheeler and Kyle Bukhari. It was the type of match that a champion hates, with the odds really against them and it would be the end of Gresham’s time as champion with Josh Alexander coming out as the victor.

Rebecca Knox and Candice LeRae would have a really great match, with Candice seeming to be flourishing now that she was no longer the champion. Which was a strange thought, but seemed to be a true statement. Knox though would win the contest, and drive herself up the rankings.

In a five star contest Future Shock and Censored Material would put on a match that would be a highlight of the night with all four men looking like superstars. Benjamin would win the match for his team by nailing Cole with a SuperKick, but both teams would come off looking incredibly strong following the contest.

LuFisto would take on Havok with the title on the line, in a match that would have some really cool and interesting spots. Havok was the clear underdog going into the match, despite her size and would offer up a good challenge but it would be the champion who would hold on to her title.

In another great tag team contest, the Motor City Machine Guns would finally get the better of the Industrial Revolution and delight the fans as they would be crowned the new NWA World Tag Team Champions as they would win an epic ladder match.

Matt Hardy would win a fairly convincing match over Brody King. However, after the match King would proceed to attack Hardy with the pair fighting up to the entrance ramp. Hardy would lay King on top of some tables and climb up onto the titantron only to land on King with a diving elbow drop and seeming to take himself out in the process as well as seriously hurting King.

Trevor Murdoch who over a year ago had been challenging Blue Demon, Jr. for the Worlds Title found himself being booked as Peter Avalon’s opponent. Murdoch would surprise Avalon and really push the champion to a limit in a hard fought battle, but Pretty Peter would retain the belt and continue his near perfect run as the Worlds Champion.

The main event would be the number one contender’s match between Goldberg and Banderas, with the pair battling in a gruelling Iron Man Match that would last sixty minutes. Goldberg would win the match 3-2, in what would end up being Banderas first loss since joining the NWA. It seemed that the fans would finally be treated to a match that had been teased for so long, but never happened without nonsense taking place between Goldberg and Avalon.

[4.5 Stars]

-------------

LuFisto announces she has been approached by other companies and is considering her options moving forward. This is’t great news for the NWA, considering she is the current Women’s World Champion.

Thea Trindad is called up from the training roster.

Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Serena Deeb, Melina all joined the NWA Women’s Division.

Joshua and Jonathan Fatu departed WWE training rosters and joined the National Wrestling Alliance packaged as The Fatu Family.

Taiji Ishimori and Yoshi-Hashi signed a contract with NWA.

Harv and Gurv Sihra - The Knights depart the NWA with rumours that they were headed to Japan.

It emerges that Ring Of Honor have some financial issues and owe a number of wrestlers large sums of money.

Episode Five [Show #28]

A brief recap would show viewers what had taken place at the Summer Show.

Josh Alexander would battle with Danny Burch in the opening contest, with the new National Champion Alexander getting the win over the former tag team champion.

Angelina Love would feature in a debut package, with it being put forward quite clearly that she was taking on the role of a babyface. This would be followed on with Love making her debut and claiming a win over SJB.

Ricky Banderas would cut a promo and accept that Goldberg had beaten him and therefore deserved to face Avalon next. Banderas would wish Goldberg luck, and make it clear that next time he got his chance at the gold he would take it.

The Fatu Family would win on their debut beating We Had No Choice.

A video package would focus on Peter Avalon - and he would make it clear that if Goldberg was going to face him at Memorial Day Mayhem, he was going to have to put something on the line.

Jonathan Gresham and Banderas would meet in the main-event, with Gresham getting a win over the veteran in a great contest.

A video for Memorial Day Mayhem would reveal that the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship were making their Championship Wrestling from Hollywood debut, and that new champions would be crowned at the PPV.

Episode Seven [Show #30]

Brodie Lee would open the show by claiming a victory over Marty Scurll.

Josh Alexander would cut a promo talking about how important being the National Champion was, and that as the champion he felt he was able to represent the NWA and show he was one of the best young prospects in professional wrestling.

The Fatu Family would claim a win over The Front Line (Cage & Owens) with the Fatus very much sending a clear message that the WWE may have let one slip, by not promoting them to the main roster sooner.

Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and PAC would cut a promo backstage and reveal themselves as a new faction called ‘Energy!’ It wasn’t clear what the group were looking to achieve, but with the Women’s Tag Team belts having been reactivated it was likely this was the reason.

Rebecca Knox and LuFisto would team up and claim a tag team victory over Christina Von Eerie and Melina.

Peter Avalon would claim a singles victory over Trevor Murdoch, before calling out Goldberg. Goldberg would make it clear that if he wasn’t able to beat Avalon at Memorial Day Mayhem he would hang up his boots and retire. Avalon would make it clear that he was looking forward to Goldberg retiring.

The main-event would see the MCMG get a victory over Censored Material, although both teams would put on a great showing over themselves.

Melina would claim a non-title victory over LuFisto, potentially setting up a prospective title match between the pairing at the upcoming PPV.

Goldberg would be backstage talking about how important the match at the Memorial Day Mayhem was for him, only to be blindsided from behind by Peter Avalon who would wack Goldberg in the back of the neck with a kendo stick.

The show would close with Ricky Banderas getting an impressive win over Alex Shelley, ahead of the PPV.

The show would open with a luchador contest as Player Dos would claim a victory over Doctor El Sueno.

Trevor Murdoch's rise up the ladder would continue as he would claim an important win over Kyle Bukhari, with the young rookie continuing to have a great first year in professional wrestling.

Shark Boy would be filmed in a segment, zip lining from a helicopter on what was being suggested as ROH headquarters and Shark Boy said that he was working on behalf of the NWA and taking back some key contracts with him.

Ricky Banderas and Jonathan Gresham would put on a really great match, with Ricky actually fighting clean for once and not resorting to bending the rules. He would actually go on to win the contest, but uncharastically would offer Gresham his hand as the two would shake following the match. It seemed as if RIcky had actually turned babyface.

Censored Material and Future Shock would compete in a number one contender’s match with both teams looking great and the chemistry between both teams were impressive. Censored Material though would claim the victory, with Benjamin and Haas seeming to finally have elevated themselves into the championship picture.

Josh Alexander would successfully defend the National Championship against Casher Wheeler, and after the win would make it clear that he wanted bigger and better challengers moving forward.

The NWA World Women’s Championship would change hands in the most boring match of the night up to this point, with Melina beating LuFisto to become the new champion.

A focused video interview would feature Peter Avalon talking about how it felt to be the most valuable member of the NWA roster, and was clearly done to get him as much heat as possible.

The Women’s Tag Team titles would be contested in two semi finals. The first would see Pink Energy (Love and Sky) defeating The Broken (Havoc & Deeb) whilst the emoWarriors (Trinidad & Von Eerie) would defeat IR’s 5th Dimension (LeRae & SBJ) to both themselves into the title match later on in the show.

The NWA World Tag Team Championships would be contested in a TLC match between IR and MCMG in a true five star quality match, with both teams blowing the roof off the Hollywood Arena. Shelley and Sabin though would retain the belts and would become a talking point on the internet because of their performance.

The Women’s Tag Team titles would be contested next with Pink Energy proving to be too much for the emoWarriors meaning that Angelina Love and Velvet Sky would become first female tag team champions for a number of years in North America.

The main event would be the much anticipated match between Avalon and Goldberg and the fans would be left with the surprise of the match taking part in a Steel Cage. The match would be one to remember with both men pushing each other to their limit, with Goldberg being on the verge of being a champion numerous times. The match would end with Avalon leaping off the steel cage on top of Bill with a Diving Leg Drop that would prove to be the final blow. Avalon not only retained his championship, but would also have retired Goldberg in the same stroke.

Memorial Day Mayhem would attract 11k viewers, which would be more than TNA’s Victory Road and be the first time a Championship Wrestling From Hollywood would have better numbers than TNA.

King of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero) officially signed with the NWA and left ROH as did their manager Truth Martini. As does Kevin Steen and Tyler Black, with Shark Boy’s segment at the PPV starting to make sense following these big signings.

Rumors circulated that TNA may be going out of business, until they find investment opportunities.

Episode Nine [Show #32]

The fallout show would begin with Rebecca Knox claiming a victory over Thea Trinidad, with Knox pursuit of title gold continuing strong.

Peter Avalon would talk himself up and make it clear that he was on course for being the Worlds Champion for a whole calendar year after retiring Goldberg. He would be grabbed by the throat by Banderas and choke slammed onto the ground as Ricky would make it clear - that now there was no way for Avalon to escape him.

Kyle Bukhari and Jonathan Gresham would have a final match in their short rivalry, with Bukhari claiming a final in a fairly high level contest. This match would be followed by another singles match, in which Chris Sabin would claim a singles win over Cash Wheeler.

A backstage promo would see Truth Martini introduce the ‘Kings of Wrestling’ (Hero & Castagnoli) as the newest members of the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood roster and Martini would make it clear, that they were here to make a name for themselves and they intended to get a victory over every single team in the division, before they won the titles. They would open up their account, with a victory over The Fatu Family, with Chris Hero seeming to be very popular with the live audience.

The show would end with Goldberg featuring in a retirement ceremony and make it clear that he had enjoyed having one final run with the NWA, and that although he hadn’t become the Worlds Champion felt honored to have been part of the journey. It would be revealed that Bill Goldberg had been inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame for his life services to professional wrestling.

Episode Ten [Show #33]

PAC would open the show with a win over Matt Taven, although Taven looked sluggish and there was suggestion he had been wrestling drunk.

Peter Avalon would be featured in a recorded promo and make it clear that if Banderas wanted his title - then so be it. He welcomed the challenge at the PPV, but reminded Banderas that he was the man that had retired Goldberg - which at this point made Avalon a Diety.

The King of Wrestling would continue their positive start to their NWA career by claiming a second victory this time over AC United.

MCMG would talk about how it felt being the top team in Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and that moving forward, they were looking for new challengers. Sabin and Shelley would be caught out, as they would be blindsided by Gotch and Burch with steel chairs. The Industrial Revolution seemingly made a statement, that they felt they weren’t quite ready to give up their hopes of reclaiming the belts.

Pink Energy (Sky & Love) would win a non-title tag team match over emoWarriors (Eerie & Trinidad) although the fans didn’t really seem that interested. It was early days for the women’s tag team division though, so it was likely going to take some time for the concept to get over.

Kevin Steen and Kyle Bukhari would have a run in backstage, with Kyle making it clear that Steen needed to know his place and get to the back of the line. Steen would find this funny and inform Bukhari that he would snap him in two if they met in the ring.

A main-event contest would see Banderas and Josh Alexander team up to claim a win over Avalon and Bukhari, with Steen distracted Bukhari and seeming to cost him the win as Alexander achieved a rollup victory.

Episode Eleven [Show #34]

The show would open looking back at the confrontation between Steen and Bukhari, before shorting a video recorded by Buff Bagwell as Bukhari’s manager where Buff would make it clear that at Live Show 11 his client was going to teach the fat Canadian Steen a lesson in humility.

The fans would be treated to a great opening contest that would kickoff the show with fireworks as Josh Alexander would defend his National Championship against Player Dos. The match would be electric and full of action, with Josh retaining his belt. There would be a lot of mutual respect between both men, and it was clear they had another great match in them.

The King of Wrestling would go 3-0 in the NWA, this week getting a win over We Had No Choice. After the match Truth Martini would make it clear that he King of Wrestling, had earned their names in Ring of Honor and were going to earn the right to call themselves king the NWA too.

A massive fight between Candice LeRae and Rebecca Knox would break out backstage, seeming to be triggered by LeRae making a comment that the Irish born Knox would never be the women’s champion no matter how big her heart was and how much she talked about it being her target.

The Industrial Revolution would face the MCMG in a non-title match, and once again both teams would put on a great contest. Burch would claim a pinfall win though, meaning that by rights they had earned themselves a future shot at the champions once again.

A video would hype NWA Live Show 11 - which would be the penultimate Live Show, before the intention of all shows being branded would come into full effect.

Peter Avalon would call out Trevor Murdoch from the back and make it clear that if Murdoch beat him he would join him and Banderas at the PPV in the title match. Avalon though, when the referee was distracted by an exposed turnbuckle would connect with a low blow and then a schoolboy rollup to steal the win and continue to be the most conniving man in the National Wrestling Alliance.

Episode Twelve [Show #35]

Steen and Bukhari would feature in separate promo videos, building up to the two having a match at the up and coming PPV.

Brodie Lee would win the opening match of the night by beating Cedric Alexander, with it being apparent in recent weeks that Lee was getting a push into the mid-card.

A feud package would air highlighting the rivalry between LeRae and Knox and confirming the pair would be facing each other at the Live Show.

The King of Wrestling could continue on winning, with this week beating the Tokyo Knights.

Danny Burch and Chris Sabin, would meet in singles action with Burch getting the W. The two men would face each other in tag team action, at the Live Show for the belts. And it would be confirmed that their partners would in fact also be competing against each other later in the night.

A brutal fight would be taking place backstage between Avalon and Banderas, with both men having been busted open with the two men being forcefully separated by backstage security. It was the perfect fuel on the fire, ahead of their title match this coming weekend.

Alex Shelley would round off the night and even the odds by getting a win for MCMG by beating Simon Gotch, setting up for another epic clash between the MCMG and IR.

The show would open with a brilliant match for the National Championship, with Josh Alexander and Doctor El Sueno going rope to rope and blending the luchador style with the technical style to warm up the crowd. Alexander would retain the title and continue his solid run of form.

A trios match would take place with Brian Knobbs making a special appearance leading the team of Brodie Lee and Cash Wheeler who would claim a victory over Trevor Murdoch, Matt Hardy and Tyler Black. The match would be entertaining and do an even better job than the previous match of turning up the fans. After the match Brian Knobbs would make it clear that even if Jerry had retired - he would continue to be The Nastiest Boy he could possibly be. And that perhaps, if he found the right partner he would challenge for the tag team titles. One last time.

Censored Material and Super Smash Bros would meet in an all heel tag team match, with both teams skirting around the mid-card of the division at the moment. Both very much in the crosshairs of the King of Wrestling. Both teams though, would put on another great showing of themselves with Haas and Benjamin leaving as the victor. Paul Ellering would make it clear - that at this point, it would be madness if his clients weren’t next in line for a title shot.

The King of Wrestling though, not wanting to be outdone would continue their tour of the division this time maintaining their streak and getting a win over the occasional tag-team of GZ PZ.

Pink Energy! (Sky & Love) would defend the Women’s Tag Team titles for the first time and do so successfully against the challenging emoWarriors. The match would follow the trend of being a high quality show, with the Live Show looking on course to be one of the best in recent months.

Simon Gotch and Danny Burch would seem tense in a fairly shitty segment backstage, which would seem to foreshadow that they might not be winning the title. That or it was simply done to tease the fans, either way Burch would make the point that if they didn’t win the titles back tonight. What purpose did the Industrial Revolution serve moving forward?

Future Shock and the Tokyo Knights would compete in a third tag team match in the division, and just like the previous it would be a real match of the ages with Twitter trending that the NWA had the best tag team division in pro wrestling. It would be Future Shock who would claim the win, but the real victory would be for the fans of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood who were getting to watch the action live in the Hollywood Arena.

Goldberg would be in the ring, making a special appearance as the new Hall of Fame inductee only to be attacked from behind by Charlie Haas with a steel chain that he would use to choke out Goldberg. Whilst this was going on Ellering would explain that retired wrestlers had no place stepping back into rings they had claimed to have retired from.

In a lacklustre contest Melina would successfully defend the Word Women’s Championship against the challenging LuFisto, with the biggest loser being Fisto who seemed to have lost a large portion of her fans following the unsuccessful attempt at reclaiming her title. At the same time, despite Melina being seen as a big name signing she was not proving to be a popular champion.

The quality of the next match though would be much better as Kevin Steen would draw the best out of Bukhari, in what was very much the rookie's best ever performance in a match as Steen would allow the youngster to work to his strengths. Steen would claim the victory, but it did feel as though Bukhari had started to understand what was needed of him in the ring.

The feud between Candice LeRae and Rebecca Knox had very much been the most exciting part of the Women’s Division and this match would continue that trend as it would be the best match of all three that took place in the women’s division. Both women would go all out, but Knox would claim an important win. After the bell she would address the fans, and announce that Rebecca Knox would never be the Women’s Champion because moving forward she wanted to be known by her real name as Becky Quinn.

The feud between the Industrial Revolution and the Motor City Machine Guns was to be finally settled and would be done inside the confines of a Steel Cell. Both teams would go all out with a number of explosive and high impact spots taking place, in what was no doubt that match of the night. It would be Sabin and Shelley who would retain the belts, although all four men would look exhausted and barely be able to stand on their own two feet with both teams needing to be assisted backstage by referee, medical staff and various members of the roster.

Peter Avalon had been the Worlds Champion for eleven month and had a singles record with the NWA of 20-1 and would find himself just needing to beat Banderas to have held the belt for a whole calendar year. The NWA Championship committee had decided that the match would be contested in a first blood match, which would really bring out the fire from both men. The fan’s would be left shocked but also elated as it would be Ricky Banderas who would end up sending Avalon crashing through a table with a Tornado DDT that would bust Avalon open resulting in Ricky Banderas becoming the new World’s Champion. The night would end with Banderas standing over a bloodied Peter Avalon holding the championship in the air and looking dominant as hell. The match was without a doubt a five star match - with some even suggesting it was better than that.

Jake Strong (formerly Jack Swagger) joins the NWA as a free agent.

Broken Demon returns to the NWA, after being released by the WWE.

The NWA confirm that it is highly likely they will complete their purchase of TNA in the coming weeks.

It would be confirmed that the streaming deal with Netflix had been signed for a total of sixteen episodes, and that following the conclusion of this deal the organisation would be dropping the ‘Championship Wrestling from Hollywood brand’. Instead the NWA would continue to run a show on Wednesday Night, but they would be aired live on YouTube for free under the branding: NWA: Shockwave.

Rumours would suggest that TNA still had a contract in place with Spike for a weekly time slot on Thursdays, with it being seen that the National Wrestling Alliance buyout would mean that this deal would remain intact. No information was being provided in regards to the supplementary show ‘Extra’ that had already been airing on YouTube.

Episode Thirteen [Show #36]

Josh Alexander would face the debuting Jake Strong and manage to claim a win over the man who had previously been working for the WWE. It was clear though that Strong was a very capable wrestler and both men had great in-ring chemistry.

A highlight reel would show some of the action that took place between Banderas and Avalon at the PPV.

Becky Quinn would find herself facing Melina in a non-title match, with the Irish hottie actually beating the champion and finding herself just one step away from finally being the champion.

Jake Strong would featured in a recorded video, talking about how working for the NWA was the best opportunity for him to build his career in the way he wanted it to be built and that he was grateful to be given this second chance before making it clear that he had no reason to respect anyone on the roster, because they had no involvement in getting him to where he was today.

Charlie Haas would get a singles win over Chris Sabin, and after the match would grab a microphone and make it clear that himself and Shelton were the true number one contenders for the tag team championships and would be expecting a shot at the titles in the coming weeks.

Ricky Bandearas would be joined in the ring by a large portion of the NWA roster, to celebrate the fact that he was the new Worlds Champion. With it being clear, a lot of people were pleased that Avalon was no longer the champion. Banderas though would be humble and make it clear that what Avalon had done would never be forgotten, but he intended to write his own legacy. However, the returning Broken Demon would attacked Banderas from behind and powerbomb the champion onto the canvas making it quite clear what his intentions were now that he was back in the NWA.

The King of Wrestling would feature in the main-event and their winning streak would continue as they would defeat the Super Smash Bros putting them at 6-0 in the NWA. As things stood they were yet to face Censored Material, Future Shock and the Motor City Machine Guns.

Episode Fourteen [Show #37]

Peter Avalon and Trevor Murdoch would have a moment prior to the show, and challenge each other to a trios tag team match. Murdoch would claim a win with the team of Alexander & Coleman over Avalon and the Tokyo Knights.

Shelton Benjamin would claim a singles victory over Chris Sabin in a fairly average match, with it very much seeming as if Censored Material were next in line for a shot at the tag team titles. The challengers would go two for two, as Charlie Haas would also win over the other Motor CIty Machine Gun partner Alex Shelley.

The King of Wrestling would continue their run to the top of the ladder, this time by putting on one hell of a match, but still managing to get the victory over Future Shock. After the match Truth Martini would make it clear that, all that was left for Kings was to beat Censored Material and then they would have earned a shot at the tag team titles, as they were now 7-0 in the NWA.

Becky Quinn would be backstage talking about how she felt that was getting closer and closer to her goal of getting a title shot, only to be jumped by Candice LeRae from behind. LeRae would pick up the microphone and inform the fans that she was far from being done with the Irish upstart.

The main-event would be a shock as Ricky Banderas would suffer a loss to the previous champion in Broken Demon. After the match, Broken Demon would make it quite clear with hand gestures that he felt he was worthy of a title shot.

Episode Fifteen [Show #38]

The Nastier Boys (Knobbs & Wheeler) would call out The Kings of Wrestling and make it clear at the start of the show that they had yet to be beaten by the indie invaders. Hero and Castagnoli would make lightwork of the veteran and his young rookie partner though, to go 8-0 and maintain their unbeaten streak in the NWA. Despite the result never being in question the match would still be of high quality with Knobbs showing why he hadn’t yet fully retired.

Jake Strong and Josh Alexander would have a heated promo moment backstage, although both men didn’t seem like they had any real problems with each other.

Peter Avalon and Kevin Steen would have a slapfest and a chop buster, in a contest that would entertain the fans but former Worlds Champion Peter Avalon would claim the win.

McChif would defeat Angelina Love in a fairly lacking contest, with MsChif seeming to struggle to compete with Angelina at the level that Love was looking to work at.

Tyler Black would claim a win over Kyle Bukhari, with Black after the match making it clear that if he didn’t get a title shot soon - he was going to take matters into his own hands.

A mass brawl would break out between Censored Material and The Motor City Machine Guns, with both teams destroying the staff canteen in the process. The fight would end with Paul Ellering punch Shelley in the head with brass knucks, as Benjamin and Haas would stamp the shit out of Sabin.

Josh Alexander and Broken Demon would battle in a non-title match, with the match being of high quality and showcasing that Alexander was able to compete at the highest level in NWA, and would impress with a win over Broken Demon which would leave question, in regards to was Demon even worthy of a Words Title shot if he couldn’t beat the National Champion.

Episode Sixteen [Show #39]

Episode sixteen would be marked as the season finale for Championship Wrestling From Hollywood as part of their Netflix deal, and there was yet to be any sort of confirmation in regards to if a second season was in the works or not. It was announced that Peter Avalon would have his Worlds Championship re-match against Banderas as part of the season finale.

Paul Ellering would cut a promo for Censored Material and make it clear that not only were Benjamin and Haas coming for the titles belt this coming weekend, but they were also leaving with the belts. Ellering would reveal that tonight Censored Material would team up with the Industrial Revolution to take on Future Shock and the MCMG in an eight-man tag team contest.

Becky Quinn would claim a win over Thea Trinidad, before making it clear that at NWA Live Show 12 - she was coming for Candice and wouldn’t stop beating the crap out of LeRae until she had to be physically ripped off her body.

Trevor Murdoch and Kyle Bukhari would also have a star studded match, with the pair going tooth and nail at each other, but it would be Murdoch who would take the W.

A hype video would look back at the past between Avalon and Banderas, with a lot of focus on this almost being the central focus of the Netflix series. It seemed clear that this match might have been PPV worth if it hadn’t been for perhaps business deals.

In a high level eight-man tag team match Censored Revolution (Censored Material & The Industrial Revolution) would claim a big win over Future Shock and the current champions the MCMG in what was without a doubt one of the best NWA matches that had aired on a Netflix stream.

In the main-event, Rick Banderas would successfully retain his belt against the challenging Avalon in a high level contest in what would be a perfect way to bring an end to the season.

The show would begin with Jake Strong vandalising Josh Alexander’s car, in the private parking area.

The opening contest would be a scrappy little fight that would see Brodie Lee leave with a victory over Matt Hardy. Both men had been having problems for a while, but this was the first time that Lee had looked the more dominant.

A video package would focus on Candice LeRae and Becky Quinn, as being one of the best feuds between two women in the NWA - and would reveal that the pair would headline the PPV.

In the first title match of the evening PAC would successfully defend the Hollywood Championship by beating Matt Taven. Although he was very much below the radar at this point PAC was 7-0 and unbeaten in singles action.

The King of Wrestling seemed to be very much in the wings, waiting for either Censored Material or the Motor City Machine Guns, but would continue their fine run of form by defeating the Industrial Revolution. The match was a five star affair, with both teams showing themselves as being two of the best teams in the business at the moment. However, after the bell Burch and Gotch seemed to have a heated argument, clearly not pleased with their lack of winning as of late.

The NWA World Women’s Championship would be contested in a Four Way match, with LuFisto having to contend with with Love, MsChif and Von Eerie in a match where she was at a massive disadvantage and it would show as it would be MsChif who would win the title, with it seeming like an age since her previous reign.

Kevin Steen and Kyle Bukhari would have another barn blazing contest, with both men despite having very different levels of experience showing their versatility in the ring. It would be Steen though, who would have his hand raised by the referee at the end of the contest.

Jake Strong and Josh Alexander would finally have a high quality match that everyone had been hoping for and it would be contested for the National Championship. Both men would show their technical prowess and skills as amateur wrestlers to really put on a spectacle, with Alexander managing to hold onto his belt but only just. Both men would stare each other down after the contest, with a sense that they both felt they needed to have one more match.

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship would have its place lower down the card, which wasn’t surprising since it had been contested on the season finale on Netflix. Banderas would successfully defend the title once more, this time by seeing off Broken Demon. The match would be an interesting contest, but by far not the best match of the evening.

Peter Avalon and Trevor Murdoch beef had started to escalate, which had resulted in Murdoch challenging Avalon to a Redneck Street. Both men would beat the crap out of each other, with Murdoch winning the match by nailing Avalon with a Diving Headbutt whilst Avalon neck had a steel chair bowtie. The match would have the fans on their feet, although neither man was able to actually stand on their own without assistance.

The NWA World Tag Team Championships would be contested within the confines of a Steel Cell, with clear intention of not letting anyone else upset the odds of the contest. However, Haas and Benjamin would show their true wrestling pedigree and leave the match as the victors to become the new champion and would look absolutely delighted by that fact as they would take part in an over the top celebration which would only be encouraged further by Paul Ellering.
A final hype video would focus on Candice and Quinn, with it being hinted that the winner of the match would surely be seen as the true number one contender for the Women’s Title.

In what was a crazy match between Candice and Becky, both women would go to town on each other. At one point SJB would try to get involved, only to get a Super Kick from Becky. The match would end after Candice had set up a table in the ring and had looked to hit Becky with the DVD, but instead Quinn reversed it and nailed LeRae with the Spanish Fly (named Irish Fly) to claim a monumental victory.

After the match Quinn would say it was fitting that it was McChif who was the new champion and had been her biggest rival in her first spell with the company.

It is confirmed that the National Wrestling Alliance were successful in purchasing the rights to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling - the following wrestlers had their contracts successfully transfered over to the NWA as part of the purchase:

Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, James Storm, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, Jay Lethal, Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels, Bobby Lashley, Brother Ray, Brother Devon, Ric Flair, Scott Steiner, Doug Williams, Awesome Kong & Madison Rayne.

It is also confirmed that the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, X-Division Championship and TV Championship were officially purchased as part of the deals - with it seeming that the others titles were dissolved.

Contractual talks with free agent released and not binded to the buyout include: Father James Mitchell, Booker T, Abyss, Franke Kazarian, Sting, Ken Anderson and Samoa Joe.

Kazuchika Okada rumoured to be unhappy with treatment in NJPW, after Sanada doused him with oil during a Hardcore Match.

-----

It was announced that the National Wrestling Alliance would in fact run two separate brands on a weekly basis.

NWA Shockwave and NWA TNA Impact and that both rosters would primarily retain the same rosters, with Madison Rayne and Awesome Kong being the only talent to change brands.

Extra would remain a product used by Shockwave.

It was announced that Shockwave air on Tuesday, Impact on Thursday and Extra on Saturday and would all take place on Spike TV (Shockwave/Impact) with Extra remaining on YouTube.

There would be a month break, with the first show in the new era being the Anniversary Show - with the hope that more former TNA talent would sign with the new version of the company.

2011

The Anniversary would be the first official show that the TNA roster would be part of the NWA, although it wasn’t the first time there had been an association. Now though, TNA was very much owned by the National Wrestling Alliance.

The opening contest of the evening would see Scott Steiner claim a win over Jeff Jarrett in an all TNA affair, in what proved to be an effective means of warming up the crowd.

Broken Demon and Tyler Black would both put on a hellacious match and really push each other to their limits, with the former Worlds Champion Broken Demon claiming the win. After the contest, Demon would make it clear that Tyler had the potential to be the future of this business if he puts his mind to it.

A video package would focus on TNA history, and how they were now part of the NWA - but still very much considered a separate entity (in relative terms). Jeff Jarrett would talk about how the company had been saved by the NWA, and they were grateful to still be in business even if certain aspect of the brand had changed (no women’s division or seemingly tag division at this time).

Brodie Lee and Matt Hardy would have another high calibre contest, with the rooke once again getting the win. Whilst Lee was celebrating though, he would be attacked from behind by Hardy with a steel chair before being sent face first onto it with a Twist of Fate - with Hardy apparently having turned heel in the process.

PAC’s solid run of form as the Hollywood Champion would continue as he would defeat Cash Wheeler in a title match and maintain his undefeated record.

AJ Styles and Kurt Angle would demonstrate exactly why TNA had needed saving, as despite there being nothing between both men other than the desire to put on a show they would do exactly that and put on a five star match that would really excite the fans in attendance.

McChif would successfully defend the NWA Women’s World Championship against Angelina Love, with Love actually making her way down to the ring with a TNA flag - clearly indicating how she felt. With all the women part of the NWA Shockwave though, it was unlikely she would be appearing on Impact anytime soon.

The Kings of Wrestling would stand in the ring with Truth Martini and Martini would call out Team 3D and make it clear that they want to call out the supposed greatest team of all time. A challenge that Ray and Devon simply couldn’t help but answer, however Hero and Castagnoli would maintain their 100% winning record in the NWA with a victory over Team 3D and continued to show themselves as the best team on the book’s.

Josh Alexander and Jake Strong would have another epic technical battle for the National Championship with this match proving to be even better than the last. Alexander would continue to show himself as one of the best in the world right now, with another successful defence. After the match though, Strong would offer his hand and both men would shake and there would be clear mutual respect between the pair.

Kevin Steen and Kyle Bukhari would have another epic battle, with Steen winning once again although it was clear that Bukhari was getting better and better after each high profile match he had. After the contest, Bukhari would speak on the microphone which was uncommon for him as normally Bagwell did the talking. Bukhari would make it clear that he was looking to face some of the best in the business and was formally requesting to be traded to TNA Impact.

The TNA Heavyweight Championship would be contested in a contest between Jeff Hardy and James Storm. It would be the challenger Hardy, who would claim the victory to become the new TNA Heavyweight Champion. After the match, Jeff Hardy would raise two points on the microphone. The first was that going forward, the belt he was holding was to be referred to as the TNA Mega Championship - with Jeff making the point that the belt was worth double that of the NWA belt. The second thing that Jeff would say, is he would send a message to his brother Matt and suggest that he jump ships and join him in TNA.

Censored Material would defend the NWA World Tag Team Championships for the first time in a Ladder match against the former champion the MCMG. The match would prove to be the best match so far between both teams, with the match ending with Shelley hitting both Haas and Benjamin with a dual avalanche Sliced Bread #2 through a ladder below that would allow Sabin to reach up and reclaim the title belts making the Motor City Machine Guns two time tag team champions.

A video package would focus one more on Peter Avalon and Ricky Banderas - with the match set to be Casket Match. It would be made clear that if Banderas put Avalon inside the Casket - Avalon would never be able to challenge for the belt again whilst Ricky remained the champion.

Both men would push each other to their very limits, with both Avalon and Banderas donning the proverbial crimson masks. At times neither man was able to stand up, and if ten counts had been in effect the match would have ended in a draw. Avalon by some miracle would manage to connect with a Shining Wizard that would knock Banderas into the casket allowing Avalon to close it and reclaim the Worlds Title with the night ending with a bloody Avalon hugging the championship to his breast.

Episode One

The first episode of Shockwave would open with a singles match between Adam Cole and Jake Strong. Both men would push each other to their limits, with it being clear that both men really wanted to make a good impression of themselves in this new of the NWA (with Championship Wrestling From Hollywood) very much now a thing of the past). Both men would put on a better than average contest, with Adam Cole leaving with the win and being the first man in history to win on Shockwave.

Becky Quinn and MsChif would have featured in a side-by-side promo battle, although both women were lacking in their microphone skills and the segment didn’t really work that well.

PAC would defend the Hollywood Championship against Taven, and retain it once more to push himself to 10-0 in singles competition. After the match, the Geordie wrestler would speak on the microphone and make it clear that moving forward he wanted a tough challenge and to face someone who would actually push him to his limit because so far he had been in the ring a number of no chance losers.

Candice LeRae would be backstage and in an interview segment would make it clear that Becky Quinn had got lucky, but everyone knew that she was the toughest woman in the National Wrestling Alliance only to be interrupted by Awesome Kong. The two would started down, before LeRae would throw the first shot and the pair would start brawling backstage in what was a fiery segment that got a lot of attention.

In a unique scenario Broken Demon would recruit IR member Simon Gotch to be his tag team partner against Josh Alexander and Trevor Murdoch, in with Demon and Gotch would claim the win. After the bell, Demon would make it clear - that he wanted a piece of the National Championship and expected Alexander to accept his challenge next week.

The Kings of Wrestling would finally get their match with the now former champions Censored Material, and Castagnoli would get an important win over Benjamin and Haas to take them to 11-0 in the National Wrestling Alliance. After the match Truth Martini, would make it clear that Extra was in many ways the middle ground between the NWA and TNA - and that if there were any teams on Impact, that felt they were worth shit - The Kings would extend their invitation out to anyone who wanted a piece of them.

The show would end with an OTT coronation ceremony run by Peter Avalon, in which Avalon would announce that he was forming a royal court and that he was looking to recruit like minded individuals to become the knights and ladies who would sit at his round table.

NWA ERA - Episode One

Jeff Jarrett would get a win over new recruit Chase Owens, that would mostly be about making Double J look strong - but at the same time end up being a decent match that Owens would actually benefit from.

Frankie Kazarian would also find himself pitted up against an NWA transfer and he too would claim a victory of his own, over an opponent of Scorpio Sky.

Jeff Hardy would cut a promo and make it clear that James Storm was never going to take the title away from him, and that in this new era it was going to take a deity to take the title away from him.

Uhaa Nation would be the first of the NWA recruit to impress, as he would get a shock win over Mr. Anderson - something which by the look on his face that he really hadn’t been expecting. It seemed to leave a suggestion, that some of the talent that had crossed over might actually have been considered as having a place further up the card.

Kyle Bukhari would be pitted against Bobby Lashley, and end up losing to Lashley. After the bell though, Kyle would seem to take exception to something that Lashley had said and the pair would have somewhat of an argument before a group of referees would come out from the back to prevent the situation from escalating.

A video would hype up the first main-event in the new era of TNA, in which Samoa Joe was booked to face Sting. The pair would have a stonking match, with Samoa Joe leaving with the win.

Episode Two

Jake Strong would open Shockwave for the second week in a row, but this time do so by defeating Jonathan Gresham in singles competition. The match would be of a fair enough quality, with Strong very much having transitioned to fit the NWA style since departing the WWE and had really started to create an identity for himself.

Kazuchika Okada would be unveiled as officially having signed for the NWA, and would make it clear that he had been unhappy with the working environment that he had been put into and as much as he one day hoped to return to the Japan he now felt that now he would focus his efforts on a company that had valued him in the past. Okada would officially make his debut as an NWA employee with a win of Silas Young, which was nothing to write home about but at the same time was being seen as one of the best captures of a young talent in recent years.

Tyler Black would be making his way down to the ring, only to be attacked on the entrance ramp by a mystery masked man and then dragged backstage.

The Tokyo Knights were continuing to try and make a name for themselves in the NWA and had been struggling as of late, but a win over AC United would potentially put them back on track. With the division now thriving, it was much harder for the team to break through to the top.

Peter Avalon would sit in the ring, one a makeshift throne and announce himself as the King of Avalonia and introduce Jake Strong as his right hand man and the first member of this royal court. Due to Avalon having such massive heat, the faction gauged the interest of the fans.

A video would hype up the National Championship match between Alexander and Broken Demon, with many seeing this as the toughest test in Josh’s five month reign. A test it would be, and a test that Josh would fail at as Broken Demon would leave the victor to claim the National Championship for the first time bring an end to what had been a fantastic period for Alexander as the champion.

NWA ERA - Episode Two

Uhaa Nation would open the show with a victory over Marty Scurll, with Uhaa seeming to be very much on the swivel and no longer being seen as development talent.

Abyss and Kurt Angle would have a brutal affair, with Kurt using his technical skills against Abyss’ power approach. James Mitchell would be the difference maker, that would allow Abyss to claim the win and send a message to the rest of the roster.

A championship package was put together focusing on Jeff Hardy as the first TNA Mega Champion in the history of not just the company, but the NWA.

Brother Devon would claim a big singles victory over AJ Styles. After the bell he would be joined in the ring by Brother Ray. Ray would make it clear that he and his brother very much had their eyes very much set on the NWA World Tag Team Championships and that despite it being part of Shockwave’s programming they fully intended in the near future to claim the title and bring it back to TNA.

Sting and Samoa Joe would have a brutal fight backstage and despite several attempts to pull the men apart, the pair would assault various members of security in a fight that would last over ten minutes. Eventually police would be on scene and proceed to arrest both of us and lock them in pair of handcuffs before dragging them away.

Jeff and Matt Hardy would reunite for the first time as a tag team in years, and claim a victory over Beer Money Inc. to close the show.

Episode Three

The show would begin a promo package hyping the upcoming pay per view Thanksgiving Parade - in which it would be revealed that TNA would also feature on the show.

Kevin Steen would open the show by claiming a victory over Brodie Lee. After the match Steen would make it clear that he was focused on making a name for himself, and that if he had to collect some scalps to get title recognition then that is exactly what he would do.

Josh Alexander would suffer a second loss in as many weeks, this time losing to Charlie Haas although it must be pointed out that Haas would steal the victory by nailed Alexander with a low blow, whilst Paul Ellering distracted the referee.

Ricky Banderas would be filmed at home, recovering from the injuries he had picked up from during his Casket Match with Peter Avalon and would make it clear that he intended to be fit and healthy in the coming weeks. The segment would be interrupted with Jake Strong with Peter Avalon behind him invading Banderas home and tossing him through his own window with a Border Toss leaving Banderas in a bloody state and covered in shattered glass.

Energy! (PAC, Angelina Love & Velvet Sky) would take on IR Power (Gotch, LeRae and SJB) in a mixed trios match, with Energy! claiming the victory.

A fight would take place backstage between the Motor City Machine Guns and the Kings of Wrestling with it being quite clear the tension between both teams were at boiling point with Hero and Castagnoli with many fans seeing the looming match as being a crowning moment for the NWA’s tag team division.

The main-event would prove to be an interesting affair with Jonathan Gresham claiming a solid victory over Shelton Benjamin. After the contest, Paul Ellering would seem to show some interest in Gresham with Arn Anderson doing his best to stop a conversation from happening.
