CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #7

- Marty Scurll would be unveiled as the newest signing to Championship Wrestling From Hollywood as he would feature in a well put together debut video package.

- The first match of the night would see women's tag-team action as Rebecca Knox & Candice LeRae would claim victory of KC Spinelli and Christina Von Eerie, and with MsChif currently aboard in Japan there would be no interuptions to the contest.

- The ongoing feud between ELP and Pepper Parks would seemingly come to an end, with El Phantasmo claiming a decisive victory over Parks.

- Jonathan Gresham would feature in a segment backstage, where it would be revealed that Arn Anderson would be managing Gresham's career going forward and Anderson would make it clear that Gresham had real potential to one day be one of the biggest names in this industry if he put the hard work in. Gresham though would not get to enjoy victory as he would take part in an eight man tag-team match as he would be pair with his tag team partner Hakim Zane and the Rock & Roll Express would lose to the Country Boys, Silas Young & Chase Owens. After the contest Silas Young would take to the microphone and make a mockery of Arn Anderson and Gresham, making it clear that he didn't need a cheerleader in his corner in order to get the job done.

- A heated exchange would take place between the Rotten Apples and the Skullkrushers, with the Krushers making it clear that they would not only defeat Drake and Cage but finally prove once and for all that the Apples had no place being associated with the NWA. It would be nothing short of a squash as the Rotten Apples would leave the ring looking nothing short of embarrassed over how easily they had been dealt with.

- A six-man tag team would take place between The Bhangra Knights & Doctor El Sueno against The Industrial Revolution & Peter Avalon. In a match that would see the NWA World Tag Team Champions face the Crocket Cup winners with The Revolution and Peter Avalon coming off on top more so because the Doctor was very much the weakest link in the chain.

- Phil Shatter would be thrown an 'easy opponent' in the form of Brandon Cutler as he would successfully defend the NWA National Championship and make light work of Cutler, with his true number one contender Peter Avalon waiting around the corner for him.

- Blue Demon, Jr. was in need of a really opponent going forward and as much as Murdoch, ELP and Shatter had made for interesting encounters - he needed someone that would really challenge him. He would get wishes sooner than he might have been expecting as he would be blindsided from behind by debuting trade talent from Japan Minoru Suzuki. This attack certainly through Demon, Jr. off his game as he would actually end up losing to fellow Japanese debutant Dick Togo in the night's main-event although it must be noted that Blue Demon, Jr. looked like he might have been suffering from some sort of concussion. A loss nonetheless was not something that Worlds Champion would have wanted.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #8

- The evening would begin with a six-man tag team contest that would see the trio of The Beer City Bruiser, Brody King & Doctor El Sueno claim victory 'We Had No Choice' (Ariya Daivari & Jimmy Jacobs) & Buff Bagwell. After the contest, Brody King would make it clear on the microphone that at the upcoming live show he was going to do everything in his power to beat the crap out of Buff so hard that he wouldn't be able to live the ring on his own two feet.

- All five women would be put in the Fatal Five Way, with the stipulation in place that the winner of the match would become the number one contender - but if Christina Von Eerie won she would get to choose her opponent at the NWA Live Show #3 . In a back and forth, but when all was said and done it would be in fact Tenille Dashwood who would win the match and earn a shot at Von Eerie and the Women's Championship. It would mean that once again Rebecca Knox, would be just unable to get any closer to her goal of becoming the champion. Von Eerie would make fun of Knox after the match, making it clear that she had done everything in her power to make sure that Knox hadn't won and hadn't actually about winning the match.

- El Phantasmo and Trevor Murdoch would put on a highly entertaining singles match, in which ELP would come out on top. After the match, El Phantasmo would grab a microphone and speak to Murdoch and make it clear that the only reason Murdoch hadn't beaten Blue Demon, Jr. was that he was pretending to be something that he wasn't 'a bad guy' and that if he spent more time being himself he might actually become the man everyone thought he was capable of being. A future Worlds Champion. ELP would make it clear that until Murdoch started believing in himself, he would never climb the mountain.

- The next match of the evening would see Dick Togo who had claimed a debut victory of Blue Demon, Jr. in suspect circumstances claim a second win in the NWA over another newcomer Marty Scurll.

- Two triple threat tag teams matches were booked, with it being revealed that Crocket Cup winners the Bhangra Knights were booked to face the Industrial Revolution at the live show - but that if any other team involved in either matches were to win then they would be added the title match. The Knights would however claim a win over The Skullkrushers & the Rotten Apples, whilst the Industrial Revolution would claim yet another win over the Rock & Roll Express and GZ PZ.

- Minoru Suzuki would make it clear in a promo backstage that he was only signed to the NWA for a short period of time, but that he had been booked to face Blue Demon, Jr. in tonight's main-event. Suzuki would make it clear that in Japan that if you beat the champion in a non-title match, it was customary to then face that same man in a sanctioned title match at a future date and that was exactly what he attended to achieve this evening. Suzuki would go on to win the match and make it clear that he was going to 'win the title' at the upcoming live show.

- The Live Show would begin with a number of dark matches that wouldn't actually be made available on the live stream and remain exclusive to the live audience. Marty Scurll would win a triple threat against Brandon Cutler and Kory Chavas, Josh Alexanader would defeat the Beer City Bruiser whilst in a massive twelve man-tag team match that six-man group of 'We Had No Choice' (Ariya Daivari & Jimmy Jacobs), Chase Owens, Pepper Parks, Cash Wheeler & Brodie Lee would come out on top over The Rock & Roll Express, The Skullkrushers, Ricky Morton and Willie Mack in what would prove to be three fairly interesting matches to warm up the crowd before the main-show begun.

- The first match of the card would see ELP and Trevor Murdoch go at it again, with ELP claiming victory over Murdoch for the second time in as many meetings. After the match Murdoch would flat out refuse to shake hands with El Phantasmo, who would look disappointed by the rejection.

- A fight would breakout backstage between both members of the Rotten Apples, with Brian Cage and Eli Drake beating the crap out of each other - with Drake making it clear that he wanted a match with Cage tonight and if that Brian didn't catch up he was nothing less than a coward.

- A three way dance would be put together with Rebecca Knox defeating Candice LeRae and KC Spinelli and earning a future shot at the NWA Women's Championship.

- Dick Togo would continue his NWA winning streak with a fairly competent win over Doctor El Sueno, with two months left on his contract to compete for the company.

- Buff Bagwell and Brody King would have an all out brutal Street Fight, with both men tearing each other apart but it would Bagwell that would shock everyone including Brody King when he would nail him with a double electric chair drop on top of King to win the match and remain relevant in the process. The match would be followed by a tag-team match that would continue to play on the rivalry between Gresham & Young. GZ PZ would team up once more, with Arn Anderson in their corner but would fall short as Scorpio Sky would prove to be the difference making in leading to himself and Silas Young claiming a victory at the live event.

- The NWA National Championship would be contested in a hard match, but the up and coming Peter Avalon would maintain his his perfect singles record and defeat Shatter to become the new National Champion in the process.

- The grudge match between Cage and Drake would in fact take place, but the pair would once again have no idea what it means to win as they would end up both tying in a time limit draw much to both their frustration.

- The NWA World Tag Team Championship match was by far one of the best matches of the night with the Bhangra Knights looking to be on the verge of becoming the new champions, when totally unexpectedly Candice LeRae would betray the Knights and low blow Harv whilst the referee was distracted leading to the Industrial Revolution winning the match. After the bell Candice would proceed to make out with Simon Gotch in the ring, and then much to everyone's shock also start making out with Danny Burch.

- Christina Von Eerie would be in top form and in a singles match with Dashwood, the challenger would be no match as Von Eerie would retain the NWA Women's Championship with the knowledge that the next time she defended the belt it would be against Rebecca Knox.

- The evening's main-event had become a ladder match with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship hanging above the ring, with Suzuki on a number of occasions almost winning the title but it seeming as if Blue Demon, Jr. had retained the belt only to lose his footing on one of the rungs and slip down the ladder and seeming to have knocked himself out in some sort of strange botch or at least it seemed like a botch. This would lead to a confused looking Minoru Suzuki climbing the ladder and becoming the new Worlds Champion.

+++++

After the show it was announced that LuFisto, Saraya-Jade Bevis, Jessicka Havok, Uhaa Nation, The Super Smash Brosh & The Nasty Boys had all signed contract to work for the NWA moving forward.

Peter Avalon is now considered as the wrestler most over with the NWA fans, whilst the match between The Industrial Revolution & The Bhangra Knights is the highest rated match since the NWA began working under the 'Championship Wrestling From Hollywood' branding with it be marked down as 4.75 star match. The point must be made that the pairing of Gotch & Burch have featured in all three of the highest rated matches in the companies 'new history'.

The addition of three more female wrestlers, is a sure indication just how serious the NWA is taking the Women's Division.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #9

The night would start with the rivalry between Scorpio Sky and Tenille Dashwood resulting in another match that would kick start the show, with Sky claiming his first win over Tenille in what had become a very strange feud. After the win, Scorpio would make it clear that he was done with being put in matches with women and demanded that management started treating him with a bit more respect.

A debut video package would hype the upcoming match debut of the tag team The Super Smash Brothers.

KC Spinelli would be shown in some recorded footage destroying the automobile of new signing LuFisto, before cutting to the ring where the fans would be treated to a sordid tag team championship celebration where Candice LeRae and the Industrial Revolution would appear to bury themselves underneath the sheet in a bed that had been setup in the ring and seemingly have a hot makeup session in front of the live audience to get major heat.

A fatal fourway match had been set up featuring Jonathan Gresham w/ Arn Anderson, Trevor Murdoch, El Phantasmo and Silas Young with the winner earning themselves a shot at the National Championship with Gresham coming out on top and earning a shot for the title.

Minoru Suzuki would cut a promo from the ring, with the Worlds Championship over his shoulder and in broken English announce himself as the man who had claimed the top prize in wrestling and once his tenure with the company was over, he would take the belt back home with him to Japan. He would be interrupted by Blue Demon, Jr. who would make it clear that he would reclaim the title at the next live event - but that tonight a massive 10-man tag team match would take place with all the champions and contenders battle on varying teams in what was scheduled to be one of the biggest matches in house show history,

The Super Smash Bros would win their debut match, with a strong victory over The Rock & Roll Express. After the match, Player Uno would make it clear that he wouldn’t be pleased until The Rock & Roll Express had been forced out of the company, because the Smash Bros were stealing their spot.

The Industrial Revolution and Candice LeRae, all dressed in towels in the locker-room area, would issue a challenge to the Bhangra Knights with Candice stating that the Knights would get one last match to challenge for the title, but if they lost they would be unable to challenge the Revolution’s reign.

Former National Champion Phil Shatter run of form would go from bad to worse as he would suffer a lot to the up and coming Cedric Alexander who seemed to have been working on his craft under the tutelage of Caprice Coleman. Coleman would make it clear that his client Cedric would, given time, become one of the biggest names in the wrestling industry if he was given the time to grow.

The 10-person tag team match wouldn’t be the best match in history, but would certainly put some interesting dynamics into play as Peter Avalon, Christina Von Eerie, Minoru Suzuki & The Industrial Revolution w/ Candice LeRae defeated The Bhangra Knights, Blue Demon, Jr. Doctor El Sueno & Rebecca Knox. Nonetheless, the fans would love the star studded match that they were able to watch.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #10

Eli Drake and Brian Cage would be having a full blown fight backstage, with the pair having to be separated as CWRH went live on stream.

Trevor Murdoch would win the evening’s contest with a victory over Doctor El Sueno. After the contest, Peter Avalon would come out from the back and make it clear that he was less than pleased that Jonathan Gresham had been announced his number one contender, but that if he was going to be given a real challenge at the Live Show he would need a more worthy opponent and that is why he had spoken to management to make the match into a triple threat contest, but would make it clear that both Gresham and the Doctor were only half a man each - so that is why he had requested the addition. So that match was a ‘fair contest’ and the fans were treated to a ‘real match’.

A number of singles matches would take place between both members of the Industrial Revolution and the Bhangra Knights. Simon Gotch claimed a victory over Harv, whilst the books would be balanced with Gurv claimed a victory over Danny Burch, although with Candice LeRae in the Revolutions’ corner, it was clear she was affecting the mental state of The Knights.

The confirmation of Doctor El Sueno being added to the National Championship match, with the addition of a video package highlighting past encounters between the Doctor and Peter Avalon.

Jonathan Gresham and Silas Young would meet in the ring, with Young making it clear that Gresham didn’t deserve the title shot and that if he beat him in singles action tonight he should forfeit the title shot. Gresham would agree to the terms, but come out with the win over Young and very much lay the argument to rest that he was in fact the better man.

LuFisto would make her in-ring debut, by claiming a victory over the woman who had trashed her car last week, KC Spinelli.

DIck Togo would maintain his perfect singles record in the NWA, by claiming a very sharp victory over former Worlds title challenger ELP.

The main-event would see the Super Smash Brothers claim their second victory in as many weeks over The Skullkrushers. After the contest, Uno would make it clear that he wanted the Rockers in the ring at the coming live show.

It would be announced at the start of the event that a new title would be competed for during the evening’s event with eight men scheduled to compete in a tournament for the NWA Hollywood Championship.

The first match would be a tables match between both members of the Rotten Apples and it would be Eli Drake who would claim the victory by sending Cage through a table after connecting with a diving elbow drop off the turnbuckle whilst Cage was lying horizontal on the wood.

The Super Smash Bros would continue on their winning ways, by claiming a second victory over the Rock & Roll Express.

Christina Von Eerie would attack Rebecca Knox backstage, and leave her in a state that she would have to seek medical attention. The damage would be so bad, that the championship match between two women would be cancelled, as it would be revealed that Knox has been hospitalised.

The NWA World Tag Team Champions the Industrial Revolution w/ Candice LeRae would to do their best to battle with The Bhangra Knights , but it would be Gurv and Harv who would finally get the the prize they had been searching for to claim the victory and thus become the new tag team champions. The pair would celebrate in the ring with the title gold and Crocket Cup, much to the fans’ delight.

+ + Prince of Hollywood 1/4 Finals + +

Josh Alexander def. Hakim Zane
Brandon Cutler def. Scorpio Sky
Cedric Alexander w/ Caprice Coleman def. Silas Young
Chase Owens def. Willie Mack

The NWA National Heavyweight Championship would be contested for a triple threat TLC match between current champion Peter Avalon and his two challengers Jonathan Gresham and Doctor El Sueno. The match would be a spot filled contest, with Avalon coming out on top. This would also bring an end to Gresham’s undefeated streak in singles’ action since joining the NWA.

+ + Prince of Hollywood Semi Finals + +

Josh Alexander def. Brandon Cutler
Cedric Alexander w/ Caprice Coleman def. Chase Owens

With the Final of the Prince of Hollywood now booked, the winner of the match between Cedric and Josh, with the same last name of no relation would leave as the inaugural NWA Hollywood Champion. It would be a tough contest, but it would be Cedric Alexander who would claim the contest and thus the new championship belt.

The night’s main-event would take place in a Steel Cage with Minoru Suzuki defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, against Blue Demon, Jr. It wouldn’t be the most entertaining match, but it would go in the way that many outsiders would have expected with Blue Demon reclaiming the title, with Suzuki tenure with the company only lasting a few more events. It was clear that the working relationship between both companies was on extremely good terms. The night would end with Blue Demon, Jr. celebrating the victory, with the Worlds title aloft in the air.

----

The Rock & Roll Express would be announced to have departed the NWA and signed contracts with Ring of Honor.

Two former ROH employees would come the other way, with Diamond Konley and Matt Taven joining the NWA.

Rumours have started to emerge that Blue Demon, Jr. had gauged the interest of both NJPW and WWE, with the intent to sign Blue Demon on a permanent basis.

Dirt Sheets are suggesting that Dick Togo, is looking for options to continue to work for the NWA on a more permanent basis, but that this may only be possible via another trade deal.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #11

Brian Cage would be attacked backstage by a masked man, who would nail Cage over the back of the head with a steel pipe. The same masked man would come out to the ring, to reveal himself as Eli Drake who was scheduled to face Cedric Alexander for the NWA Hollywood Championship. The match would be a close affair, and much to everyone’s shock Eli Drake would claim the victory and become the new champion.

A video package focusing on Von Eerie and Knox had been put together, with NWA management confirming that both women would face each at NWA Live Show 5 - and that if Von Eerie tried to prevent the match from taking place, her contract would be terminated.

The Nasty Boys would make their in-ring debuts in a match against The Bhangra Knights, and despite the Knights being the champions the more established tag team would claim a debut victory and seemingly earn themselves a future match on that basis.

The Industrial Revolution in full complement would win a Trios match against GZ PZ and Tenille Dashwood. After the contest, Candice would make it clear that the Industrial Revolution were far from being done and that when they were next given their chance at the gold, they would reclaim ‘THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS’.

A rematch would take place between Phil Shatter and Blue Demon, Jr. with the two previously having competed in a time limit draw. This time round though, Shatter would prove why he was one of the hardest workers on the roster by claiming an impressive victory over the Worlds Champion. After the match, Minoru Suzuki would come out from the back and him and Demon would seem to make peace in the ring with both men shaking hands and their feud coming to a peaceful conclusion.

The night would end with Peter Avalon facing Doctor El Sueno with the National Championship on the line, with Peter Avalon continuing to show himself as one of the top talents in the promotion and showing far he had come since joining the NWA. After the match, Avalon would make it clear that he had finally put Doctor behind him and was looking to more capable challengers moving forward.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #12

Brody King would open the night with a victory over Buff Bagwell, but would add insult to injury by continuing to beat the shit out Buff long after the match was over making Buff looking nothing short of a complete mess because of it.

The Super Smash Bros would face an unlikely pairing in Uhaa Nation and Marty Scurll, with the more established team claiming the victor and continuing their solid run of form.

Peter Avalon would cut a promo with the National Championship making it clear to everyone that he felt like was the man that everyone wanted to be, and everyone needed to beat if they wanted to become as relevant as him moving forward.

The Bhangra Knights would claim a solid tag team victory over ‘We Had No Choice’ only for footage to appear on the titantron screen with footage of the Nasty Boys raiding the Knights family home and destroying the house, as Gurv and Harv would have to watch on in anguish as they were simply unable to do anything but watch on in disbelief.

The Industrial Revolution would claim a massive scalp as they would defeat the pairing of Minoru Suzuki and Blue Demon, Jr. and once again Burch and Gotch would show themselves as one of the very best teams in the tag-team division.

Knox and Eerie would exchange words in the ring, ahead of their scheduled title match at the upcoming show Memorial Day Mayhem.

The evening’s main-event would be a six man tag team contest that would see the trio of Peter Avalon, Trevor Murdoch & Phil Shatter claim an impressive win over El Phantasmo, Jonathan Gresham and Doctor El Sueno.

The show would be booked for a massive number of matches, with the first contest seeing recent signing Matt Taven claim an impressive victory over Willie Mack.

A ten-man tag team match would also take place that would see Brodie Lee, Chase Owens, Silas Young, Cash Wheeler & Josh Alexander comes out trumps over Beer City Bruiser, Doctor El Sueno, Diamond Konley, Uhaa Nation and Marty Scurll in a match that was nothing more than a card filler and gave all the men involved a chance to feature on the MDM card.

A Four Corners Tag Team match would take place, with the intention of ranking all teams involved. With the Super Smash Brothers winning the match, claiming victory over the Industrial Revolution, The Skullkrushers and We Had No Choice - with it being evidently clear that the win over IR was by far the most important scalp that the Super Smash Brothers had claimed so far since joining the National Wrestling Alliance, with it being quite clear that Gotch and Burch were far than pleased with the result.

Jonathan Gresham w. Arn Anderson would cut a promo in the ring, stating that it was his time now and that he was calling out none other than Buff Bagwell, and would make it clear that he was challenging Buff to a best of five series. And that if he won the series, he would expect Bagwell to pack up his bags and leave the promotion. Buff would laugh off the thought of losing to Jonathan and accept the challenge, but have to taste the bitter taste of defeat as it would be Gresham who would win the first match in the series.

Dick Togo’s time with the NWA would end with a win over Brandon Culter, and he would depart the company with an unbeaten singles record of 5-0. After the match, Togo would make it clear that he hoped to one day return to the United States and work for the company again.

Peter Avalon would defend the National Heavyweight Champion against arguably the most established opponent of his career in Minoru Suzuki, in what would be a coming of age match for Avalon as he would successfully retain the belt and look incredibly strong for it. Suzuki would look bitterly disappointed at the loss, but would offer Avalon his hand. Avalon would shun Suzuki and instead celebrate by raising the title above his head as he clambered onto the ring apron.

Trevor Murdoch would finally claim an important live show victory of ELP, and after the match El Phantasmo would make it clear that Murdoch had put his dark past behind him and had the potential to be one of the biggest names in this sport. The pair would then embrace in the ring, seeming to have formed a bond during their rivalry.

The Nasty Boys would be given their shot at the tag team championships and win the belts on the first time of asking, as The Knights would be left looking stunned as Knobbs and Sags would leave with the NWA World Tag Team Championships in their possession. The Industrial Revolution would come out from the back after the Nasty Boys had left, and would make a mockery of the Bhangra Knights for losing the belts.

Eli Drake would successfully defend the NWA Hollywood Championship in a three way dance beating his former tag team partner Brian Cage and former champion Cedric Alexander in the same stroke, with Drake’s career finally seeming to be getting on more stable tracks.

The rematch between Phil Shatter and Blue Demon, Jr. would take place, this time for the Worlds title - but Demon would be the more dominant of the two men and successfully retain the belt.

The night would end with a Submission match for the Women’s Championship that would be a tight affair, but that would see Christina Von Eerie get Knox to tap out. To make matters worse Knox’s feet had been on the ring ropes, but the referee hadn’t spotted it and therefore hadn’t called for a ring break. The show would end with MsChif coming out from the back with a massive smile on her face, as she would point at Rebecca Knox and openly laugh at her failure.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #13

The night would begin with Peter Avalon facing Diamond Konley in what was probably intended to be an easy match for Avalon to defend the National Championship, but Konley would prove to be a dynamic opponent and have good chemistry with Avalon in what would be a match filled with great spots. Avalon would retain the title, but Konley had certainly proven himself as a top contender.

Two matches would take place in the Women’s Division, with Rebecca Knox getting back onto winning way by KC Spinelli. In the other match Saraya-Jade Bevis would claim her first singlest victory over IR’s Candice LeRae.

In a comedy based segment, seeming to tie in to Murdoch having turned face following the conclusion of his feud with ELP he would be sitting in a counselling session with his Country Boy partner Brodie Lee. The counselor would talk about methods that Lee could use, to stop being so angry all the time. Murdoch says he forgives Brodie for being angry all the time, whilst Brodie Lee lost bemused by the whole situation.

Arn Anderson would cut a promo on behalf of his client Jonathan Gresham, making it clear that he had complete faith that Gresham was going to win the series 3-0 and that Buff Bagwell would regret taking up this series. Later on in the night Gresham would claim a second victory over Bagwell and continue to show himself as the ‘Workhouse of the NWA’.

In an eight-man tag team contest the Super Smash Brothers and the Industrial Revolution would claim victory over The Bhangra Knights, Cedric Alexander and his manager Caprice Coleman who would wrestle for the first time since becoming Alexander’s manager. After the match The Nasty Boys would storm the ring and proceed to jump Player Uno & Player Dos, making it clear that they weren’t going to give the number one contenders an easy ride going forward.

The night’s main-event would see Eli Drake compete with Brian Cage for the NWA Hollywood Championship, and would successfully defend his title belt. After the match, Drake would state that the Rotten Apples were no more and that he and Brian were old news. Drake would add insult to injury and question why Cage was even lying to himself, because he clearly wasn’t meant to be a professional wrestler.

=======================

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #14

Diamond Konley would be booked once again and finally taste victory as he would claim an important win over Chase Owens. After the bell, whilst the referee was raising Konley’s arm in the head - he would be blindsided from behind by Owens who was far than pleased that he had lost to someone he would certainly consider as being below him in the pecking order

A highlight reel of the rivalry between Gresham and Bagwell would play, and it was quite clear by the way the package had been put together that Jonathan Gresham was certainly being given a push up the ladder.

Ahead of his match with Cedric Alexander, Phil Shatter would publicly apologize to the fans for his bad attitude in the past and make it clear he was going to become the man he should have been. Rather than the man he was currently, this new attitude seemed to put him in the right frame of mind as he would claim an important victory over Alexander.

The Bhangra Knights would win a victory over ‘We Had No Choice’ in what was a sloppy contest with Jimmy Jacobs and Ariya Daivari really not being up to scratch, and lacking complete chemistry as a team. This fact wasn’t surprising considering they had been bodged together, for the Crockett Cup as nothing more than a team to fill a match spot.

MsChif and Candice LeRae would claim a win over Christina Von Eerie and Jessicka Havok. After the match, MsChif would make it clear that she wanted Von Eerie in the ring at the upcoming live show. Von Eerie would welcome the challenge, before revealing that a third woman would feature in the contest - Rebecca Knox. MsChif wasn’t happy with this news, which seemed to be Von Eerie’s intention, clearly playing mind games with the former champion.

Cedric Alexander stood backstage being coached by Caprice about how he would soon be at the standard he was aiming for, only to be blindsided by Eli Drake who would smash the Hollywood Championship into the back of Alexander’s head and proceed to kick the crap out of him. Coleman would only watch on and call for security to come to his aid, but Drake would depart before they could arrive.

Buff Bagwell would shock everyone as he would claim a win over Gresham, taking the series between the pair to 2-1 in Gresham’s favour with Arn Anderson looking on in total disbelief, clearly a loss to Bagwell never having been something that had even been considered.

Murdoch and Lee would have a bodybuilding contest in the ring, but when Murdoch started getting more cheers (ironic as they were) Lee would get annoyed and the two would start pushing each other. Murdoch would just look disappointed, as he would exit the ring leaving an angry Lee shouting at him.

The main-event see Blue Demon, Jr. claim a victory over El Phantasmo in a fairly average contest to round off the show, with the match between Shatter/Alexander being head and shoulders better than the evening’s final match.

The opening contest would see the Country Boys facing off against each other, with Trevor Murdoch getting the victory over Brodie Lee.

In an interesting tag-team contest pairing up men who were feuding with a man on opposing teams Willie Mack and Diamond Konley would successfully defeat Matt Taven and Chase Owens.

The Industrial Revolution's desire to get back on winning ways would start to pay off as they would beat The Skullkrushers. After the contest Gotch would make it clear that the only way that the NWA was going to stay relevant was by the pair becoming the tag team champions once again. This would be followed by Candice LeRae claiming a win over Saraya-Jade Bevis, meaning that all three members of IR had claimed a win at the NWA Live Show 5.

LuFisto would also claim a win over KC Spinelli, in a fairly average contest.

A prerecorded video would show Trevor Murdoch breaking into the office of NJPW and cutting a promo that the NWA was coming for NJPW and was going to take their place in the industry. Murdoch would make it clear that he would be returning to Japan soon, and that he had ‘business to deal with.’

Uhaa Nation would win a ten-man street fight that featured the likes of: Scorpio Sky, Ariya Daivari, Silas Young, Jimmy Jacobs, Cash Wheeler, Hakim Zane, Doctor El Sueno, El Phantasmo and Marty Scurll.

Eli Drake would face Cedric Alexander once again with the NWA Hollywood Championship on the line, but Alexander would step up to mark to beat Drake and reclaim the title belt to become a two-time champion.

Buff Bagwell would defeat Jonathan Gresham, in a fairly average match that would tie the series to two-apiece in a match that was nothing to write home about.

A video package would focus on the rivalry between the Nasty Boys and The Bhangra Knights, with it being made clear that sooner or later Knobbs and Sags would have to deal with The Knights.

The Nasty Boys would not be able to compete with the Super Smash Brothers, and Player Uno and Player Dos would claim the victory and leave as the new NWA World Tag Team Champions.

Blue Demon, Jr. & Phil Shatter would team up to claim a victory over Peter Avalon and Josh Alexander, with Alexander very much being the weakest link in the match.

The main event would see the NWA Women’s Championship on the line. MsChif would win the match by pinning Rebecca Knox, and become the champion for the second time in her career. Von Eerie would look pissed, whilst Knox would be laid out having taken the brunt of the beating in the contest.

= = = = =

The Industrial Revolution (Simon Gotch & Danny Burch) & The Country Boys (Brodie Lee & Trevor Murdoch) would be revealed to be touring in NPW for a three month period. Whilst, Dick Togo would return to NWA for a second stint and be joined by young rookie Kazuchika Okada.

A number of indie prospects have joined the NWA’s training roster, with the intention of building a number of wrestlers from the ground up.

Rumours circulate that some wrestlers may soon find themselves leaving the comp
any to make way for fresher talent.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #15

The show would begin with Arn Anderson talking up his client Jonathan Gresham and making it clear that at the next live show, his client would come trumps over Buff Bagwell and win the best of five series. Arn told the fans that tonight Gresham would continue to prove himself as one of the hottest prospects in the company and that Gresham was issuing an open challenge tonight, to anyone to come out from the back and face him.

The first contest of the evening would see The Bhangra Knights would have a second running in with ‘We Had No Choice’ but this time the two teams would have a much better showing, with the Knights coming out on top once more. The Super Smash Brothers would attempt to jump Gurv and Harv, but the Knights would get out of dodge before either Uno or Dos could do any real damage.

Buff Bagwell and El Phantasmo would have a fairly average contest, with Bagwell claiming the win and building some momentum of his own.

Brain Cage, Chase Owens and Matt Taven would team up in a trios match, and claim victory over Willie Mack, Doctor El Suneo and Diamond Konley in a match that was nothing more than a filler. After the contest all three members of the winning team would seem to be quite friendly with each other, in a manner they hadn’t been prior to the contest.

A catfight would take place backstage between Saraya-Jade and Candice LeRae with both women having to be separated by private security.

Both of the touring New Japan wrestlers would feature in a tag team contest, although would be on opposite teams with Dick Togo and Josh Alexander claiming victory over Kazuchika Okada and Marty Scurll. After the match, Togo would make it clear that he intended on proving once again why he was one of the greatest Japanese wrestlers to ever wrestle in the United States and he would prove it by making an example of Marty Scurll going forward.

Jonathan Gresham’s open challenge would be answered by former Hollywood Champion Eli Drake. The two men would put on an interesting contest, but with Gresham leaving with the win to his name.

The main event would be a match for the Worlds Championship with Blue Demon, Jr. having another run in with Phil Shatter, with the Worlds Champion retaining the title. After the match, Blue Demon, Jr. would make it clear that he was starting to find life in the NWA very frustrating and that apart from Minoru Suzuki he hadn’t had a real challenge during both of his reigns as the champion.

-------------------

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #16

The night would start with LuFisto claiming a comprehensive win over KC Spinelli, with there being no question who out of the two was the strong competitor.

Brian Cage, Matt Taven and Chase Owens would cut a promo backstage as a trio and announce themselves as a new faction called the ‘Front Line’.

The Bhangra Knights would claim an important victory over The Nasty Boys, before making it clear that they very much had the Smash Bros in their sights and had the full intention of reclaiming the tag team championship at the upcoming live event.

A fight would break out between Kazuchika Okada and Josh Alexander backstage, with Alexander on multiple occasions shouting that Okada was not going to ‘STEAL HIS SPOT’.

Front Line member Chase Owens would once again find himself in a match against Diamond Konley, but it would be Konley who would once again leave with the W to his name.

Cedric Alexander would face Phil Shatter in a non-title match, with Caprice Coleman telling Shatter if he won he would get to face Cedric for the Hollywood title at the live show. Unfortunately for Shatter, he would taste the defeat and his meteoric rise to the top seemed to be a thing of the past.

Peter Avalon winning ways would continue and the fighting champ would successfully defend the National Championship this time against El Phantasmo.

With the winners of all four groups, facing each other at the live show - with the eventual winner becoming the ‘Prove Your Worth Cup’ winner. Rather than showing complete matches, the round robin portion would be condensed into highlight form.

The event would begin with true matches for the ages as Josh Alexander and Kazuchikda Okada, with the contest being so high quality it put into question if the Live Show would feature another match that was of the same quality that both men had put forward as Josh Alexander would leave with the win to his name.

The NWA Hollywood Championship would change hands once more, as this time reigning champion Cedric Alexander would drop the title to Cash Wheeler, in a match that would suffer because of the quality of the match that had taken previously between Alexander/Okada.

The rivalry between Candice and Saraya-Jade would continue, but the more wily veteran LeRae would claim another important win over the British upstart. After the bell, Candice would make it clear that she was done with being out of the title picture, and that she expected management to take her seriously moving forwards.

American TV Host American Queen would sing the national anthem during the show only to be attacked by one of her guitar players over the head, causing her to be knocked out. The guitar player would then reveal himself as none other than Eli Drake who would get massive heat for doing so.

Dick Togo would continue his unbeaten streak by claiming another singles win over Marty Scurll, although it was clear that Scurll wasn’t quite at the same level as Togo and so the match suffered because of it.

The Super Smash Bros would finally meet with the Bhangra Knights and the one of the newest teams in NWA, would continue to prove why they had been signed as they would successfully retain the NWA Tag Team Championships. Gurv and Harv would look totally dejected, as they would head towards the back.

The much awaited rematch between MsChif and Rebecca Knox would finally take place, but MsChif would show that her time in Japan had completely elevated her game as she would look like a true master of the ring as she would successfully see off Knox and put the final nail in Rebecca Knox’s coffin. From this point onwards, you had to wonder where Rebecca would go from here with any chance of her becoming the Women’s Champion seeming to have totally evaporated in one three count.

The first ‘Prove Your Worth Cup’ Semi Final would see Brandon Cutler claim a victory over Jimmy Jacobs, with Silas Young defeating Diamond Conley in the other semi final matchup. Brandon Cutler would go on to defeat Silas Young, and become

Jonathan Gresham and Buff Bagwell would meet in their best of five rubber match, with the match being made into an ‘I Quit Match’ both men would put on one hell of a performance, but it would be Jonathan Gresham who would claim the important victory. After the match, Gresham would make it clear that there was only one direction going forwards. Gresham would just smile at this point before continuing to celebrate the victory.

The main event of the night would feature Blue Demon, Jr. waiting in the middle of the ring having been told that a mystery challenger had been scheduled to challenge him for the belt. To everyone’s shock, National Champion Peter Avalon would make his way out from the back and emerge as the champion. The match would prove to be highly entertaining, but the fans would lose their mind as Peter Avalon would claim a victory over Blue Demon, Jr. and thus become a double champion as he was now in possession of both the National and Worlds Championship as the show would go off air.

---------

Rebecca Knox and Phil Shatter were both announced to have parted ways with NWA, having signed with the WWE.

In terms of arrivals Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin and Paul Ellering had all been signed as the newest members of the NWA roster.

The match between Josh Alexander and Kazuchika Okada was being noted as the highest rated singles match since the company had started to operate under the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood branding.

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #18

Newly signed team Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin under the team designation of ‘Censored Material’ would debut with the introduction of Paul Ellering as their manager. It would be made clear that the team were very much taking on the roles of heels, and would make it clear that they were very much looking to establish themselves as the top tag team in the National Wrestling Alliance.

The ‘Prove Your Worth Cup’ winner Brandon Cutler would claim a victory over NWA Hollywood Champion Cash Wheeler in a non-titles match, although it would become apparent that Wheeler was absolutely furious about the fact that he had lost to what he felt was a lesser opponent.

Arn Andrson would cut a promo on behalf of Jonathan Gresham, making it clear that Buff Bagwell had been forced to say ‘I Quit’ at Live Show 6 and that Jonathan would now be looking forward from this point on, with the intention of winning singles gold.

GZ PZ (Gresham and Hakim Zane) would claim a victory over the debuting Censored Material, in what would be a surprising loss for Haas and Benjamin. After the match, Gresham would thank Zane for being a great partner but reiterate what Anderson had said earlier and that he would be focusing on singles gold. It was clear however, that both Hakin and Gresham were still very much on good terms and that their tag team didn’t actually seem to have split up, but rather having been put on a break.

Buff Bagwell would come out to the ring last time and follow through with the stipulation of his match against Gresham, by announcing that he was leaving the NWA and had no intention of returning to the company.

Touring Kazuchika Okada would claim a solid win over Ariya Daivari in a match with no importance, other than giving both men some ring time.

More tension between LeRae and Saraya-Jade would be triggered backstage with the pair breaking into an all out argument, and having to be separated by various members of the locker-room before it escalated into something else.

LuFisto would claim a victory over MsChif in a non-title match, with almost an expectation that Fisto had earned a future shot at the champion by managing to beat her in this manner.

A hype package would be put together to hype the Anniversary schedule to take place at the end of the month.

New Worlds Heavyweight Champion Peter Avalon would wrestler Cedric Alexander in a truly brutal non-title match and would bust Alexander wide open by sending him head first into an exposed ring turnbuckle. The beating that Cedric was receiving would prove to be so brutal, that his manager Caprice Coleman would throw in a towel to bring an end to the match before his client suffered any long-term damage. After the contest, Avalon would announce that he was vacating the National Championship and that his sole focus was the Worlds Title.

-----------

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD - House Show #19

The show would begin with a fight taking place backstage that would spill out onto the entrance between Cedric Alexander and Eli Drake, with long standing issues between the pair seeming to have not been worked out at this point. Drake would make it clear that he wanted a piece of Cedric at the Anniversary Show.

With the National Championship now vacant, it was announced that three singles matches had been booked - with the three winners facing off in a triple threat match at the Anniversary Show to become the new champion. The three men who would book themselves into the match would be Jimmy Jacobs (by beating Diamond Konley), El Phantasmo (by defeating Chase Owens) and Doctor El Sueno (who claimed victory over Brian Cage). After the third match, ELP and Jimmy Jacobs would come out to the ring where the trio would stare each other down.

Brandon Cutler had cut a promo, presumably after his victory last week - where he would make it clear that he felt that after beating Cash Wheeler. He had proven himself, yet again and he was due a shot at the Hollywood Title.

In tag team action Hakim Zane would team up with the touring Okada and manage to gain a victory over Silas Young and Josh Alexander. After the match, it was clear that there was still something between Josh and Kazuchika, with neither Silas or Hakim seeming to show much interest in the other.

Peter Avalon and Blue Demon, Jr. would agree to have another match for the Worlds Title, but after shaking hands Avalon would catch Demon off guard by knocking him to the mat with a stiff forearm shot. Avalon would make it clear that once he retained his title he hoped Blue Demon wouldn’t be expecting any more second chances.

LuFisto would claim a convincing win over KC Spinelli and after the contest would make it clear to the fans, that she would become the Women's champion at the Anniversary Show.

The night would end with a hard fought battle between Matt Taven and Willie Mack, with both men leaving it all in the ring.

The Anniversary Show would be put across as the biggest card of the year, and begin with an eight man tag team contest. Team Gresham (Gresham, Zane, Uhaa Nation & Rasche Brown) would take on Team Silas (Silas Young, Hass, Benjamin & Pepper Parks) with Team Gresham walking away with the victory. The match would prove to be much better than would have been expected, and opened the night on a real good account.

Matt Taven and Willie Mack would have another match, and once again it would be Taven who would leave as the victor. Both men would show a lot of respect for each other after the contest and proceed to shake hands.

Diamond Konley would claim a victory over Chase Owens in a fairly nondescript match, with both men very much on the bottom end of the card and more recently being used as enhancement talent.

Jessicka Havok would make her NWA singles debut in a match against Christina Von Eerie and it would be a fairly interesting match from the get go, with Havok bringing something to the table that perhaps hadn’t been seen in Women’s Division. Chrstina seemed annoyed with Havok though and would resort to placing her feet on the middle ropes to steal a pin. After the match, Havok would be furious and proceed to powerbomb Von Eerie through a table at ringside making quite an impression on her debut.

Josh Alexander and Kazuchika Okada would appear in a promo video, going back and forth with an NWA official acting as a middle man. Alexander would make it clear that Okada was just a young boy on excursion, and that he would be sending him home covered in bruises and in need of more time in the Tokyo Dojo.

The first title match of the night would be the NWA Hollywood Championship match between champion Cash Wheeler and Brandon Cutler. It was a match, in which both men would play to their strengths and both show signs of promise as prospective talents. However, it would be Wheeler who would manage to successfully defend the title. It was clear though, that the fans seemed behind the rivalry emerging and that there were chants for another match sometime in the future.

Candice LeRae and Saraya-Jade Bevis would entertain the fans in another great little contest, with LeRae's role of trying to convince Bevis to join her still playing at the forefront of this rivalry. Candice would claim the win, but once again Saraya-Jade would turn down LeRae’s offer of joining her.

Kazuchika Okada and Josh Alexander would put on a technical masterclass, despite both being in their early 20s as they would showcase that they very much both had a bright future in this industry. It would however be Okada who would claim the victory over Alexander. Alexander would take to the microphone after the match, and make it clear that Okada would only be in America for another month and that he hoped they could have one more match. Okada would nod and both men would shake hands, seeming to come to an agreement on the matter.

LuFisto would leave the fans in Hollywood stunned, as she would claim a victory over MsChif and by doing so would become the new NWA World Women’s Champion. The point must be added that since arriving in the NWA, LuFisto has yet to lose a match but that MsChif was very much seen as the favourite going into the match, despite the previous loss to Fisto.

Cedric Alexander would claim a clean victory over Eli Drake, without Caprice Coleman having to get involved in what was another standout match for the evening but at this point in the show was certainly seen as a MOTN candidate, at this point. Cedric Alexander after the match, would thank the fans for attending the show and make it clear that he hoped to see them all again - at next year’s Anniversary Show and that the National Wrestling Alliance would never die!

In a match that seemed like filled Marty Scurll would beat Dick Togo, with Togo not seeming to have been utilised as much as he had in his previous tour with the company. The match was nothing to complain about though.

The match for the vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship would be a bit of a stop and start match, with ELP, Jacbos and Doctor El Sueno seeming to struggle to find a good pace at which to compete at which really cost the match and thus the enjoyment by the fans with a number of visible botches and mistakes taking place. The match would be on the shorter side of things, but it would be the Doctor who would end the night as the new National Champion.

Peter Avalon would come out from the back, and announce that tonight's Worlds title match would be competed under a new stipulation. If he lost, not only would he lose his belt but he would also lose his hair. However, that wasn’t going to happen as instead - he would retain his title and Blue Demon would be unmasked. This got a lot of boos and jeers from the fans.

The NWA World Tag Team Championships would be defended in a three way dance with Super Smash Bros successfully retaining the belts, by defeating The Nasty Boys and The Knights.

The main-event for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship would prove to be the best match of the entire night and really solidify Peter Avalon as the man on top of the mountain in the National Wrestling Alliance. Real chemistry and fluidity would be shown between Avalon and Demon, Jr. that allowed for a match that lasted past the thirty minute mark. It would be Avalon though who would win the match and retain his title, leaving Demon forced to unmask himself for the very first time in his career. It was a sombre moment, and it was clear, very emotional and heartfelt with the night ending on this revealing and not on Avalon’s success.

-------------

The show would earn 3.75 Stars in the ratings with the match between Avalon & Blue Demon, Jr rated at 4.75 stars.

Wrestling Award:
Worst Segment - Bhangra Knights

Combat Zone Wrestling would win the worst company of the year, despite NWA having the smallest budget.

The Skullkrushers vs. The Rotten Apples - Worst Match of the Year

Mickie James joins the NWA training roster - with the intention of aiding some of the younger wrestlers through their paces.
