Corey Heim Joins Hattori Racing for 2022 Truck Series Season
Hattori Racing Enterprises has officially announced that Corey Heim will move up from ARCA to the NASCAR Truck Series in 2022, taking over the #21 truck previously driven by Germain Loochhausen.

A Rising Star from ARCA
Heim has been one of the standout performers in ARCA, showcasing his talent with multiple wins and strong championship performances. His promotion to Hattori’s Truck Series program signals the team’s belief that he is ready to compete at the next level.

"Corey has proven himself as a top-tier talent in ARCA, and we believe he’s ready to make the jump to the Truck Series. He’s got the speed, racecraft, and determination to succeed, and we’re excited to have him in the #21 Toyota Tundra next season." – Hattori Racing Statement

Heim’s Excitement for the Opportunity
Heim expressed his gratitude and excitement about joining Hattori Racing:

"This is a huge opportunity for me, and I couldn’t be more excited to join Hattori Racing. They have a winning culture, and I’m ready to prove myself at the Truck Series level. I know there will be a learning curve, but I’m confident we can run up front and compete for wins."

What to Expect in 2022
Heim will team up with Austin Hill (#16) at Hattori Racing.
The team expects Heim to develop throughout the season while competing for strong finishes.
Given Heim’s success in ARCA, he could be a dark horse contender for wins in his rookie season.
With Hattori Racing’s strong Toyota backing and Heim’s raw talent, this move could be the start of a promising NASCAR career for the young driver.

GMS Racing Announces Major Changes for 2022 Truck Series Lineup
GMS Racing has confirmed significant updates to its 2022 NASCAR Truck Series program, including driver shifts, team expansion, and an unexpected sale of the #77 truck.

Tommy Bedlam Acquires #77 Entry Rights
GMS announced that full ownership of the #77 truck, including the number rights and full-time entry, has been sold to Tommy Bedlam. This means that Bedlam now fully controls the #77, and GMS Racing will no longer field it in their lineup next season.

"We’re proud of everything we’ve built with the #77, and we know Tommy will continue to carry that legacy forward in his own way. It was the right move for all parties involved, and we wish him success moving forward." – GMS Racing

This move aligns with Bedlam's previously announced full-time transition to Team Penske’s Xfinity Series program, meaning that the #77 will not return to the Truck Series in 2022 unless Bedlam decides otherwise.

GMS Acquires Former Niece Motorsports #45 Entry
With Niece Motorsports shutting down, NASCAR made its #45 full-time entry available, and GMS Racing has now officially taken ownership of it. In addition, Tyler Ankrum has been confirmed as the driver for this new third truck.

"We're thrilled to welcome Tyler back into the GMS family. He’s proven his ability in the Truck Series, and we believe he can be a key part of our future success."

This marks a return to GMS Racing for Ankrum, who previously raced for the team before joining DGR-Crosley in 2020.

Vacant #2 Truck Still Unfilled
GMS Racing also confirmed that they still have one open seat for 2022—the #2 truck—which remains without a confirmed driver.

The team is exploring options for filling the #2 ride, with speculation swirling around potential free agents and rising stars.

"We’re taking our time to make sure we put the right driver in the #2 truck. We know there’s a lot of talent out there, and we’re excited about what’s ahead for GMS Racing in 2022."

2022 GMS Racing Truck Lineup (As It Stands)
✅ #45 – Tyler Ankrum (New full-time truck, acquired from Niece Motorsports)
✅ #23 – Ty Majeski (Returning for a second season)
#2 – TBD (Still vacant, expected to be announced soon)

With the #77 now fully belonging to Tommy Bedlam, GMS expanding to three trucks, and the #2 ride still up for grabs, the team’s 2022 Truck Series season is shaping up to be an interesting one.

Juice Millar Reacts to Team Penske’s Focus on Tommy Bedlam in Xfinity
39WYryQ.png

Juice Millar's #53 Team Penske Pepsi Max Ford

With Team Penske confirming that Tommy Bedlam will be their primary focus in the Xfinity Series for 2022, media turned to Juice Millar—who currently races for Penske in the Truck Series—for his thoughts on the announcement.

Millar didn’t seem surprised by the statement and spoke highly of Bedlam’s addition to the team:
"Tommy is a fantastic addition to the Penske family. He’s earned his shot, and I have no doubt he’ll do great things in the #22 next year."

Millar also made it clear that there is already an understanding of Team Penske’s plans for the #38 Xfinity car in 2022, but he remained tight-lipped about any specifics.

"We already know the plan for the #38 next year, and I’m comfortable with what’s ahead. But right now, I’m completely focused on finishing the 2021 Truck Series season strong."

Millar’s response suggests that he is at peace with Penske’s decision to prioritize Bedlam and that his own future with the team is already set, even if it hasn’t been made public yet.

For now, Millar’s attention remains on the Truck Series, where he is still a strong contender for the 2021 championship.

Tommy Bedlam & Ryan Reynolds Launch BRR – Bedlam Reynolds Racing for 2022
In a shocking and exciting announcement, Tommy Bedlam confirmed that his recently acquired #77 Truck Series entry will now be operated under a new team:

BRR – Bedlam Reynolds Racing
The team is a joint venture between Bedlam and Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds, with the truck remaining Chevrolet-powered in the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series.

Ryan Reynolds will serve as the financial backer, but it was made clear that Bedlam will have full control over all major management decisions for the team.

Jimbo "Sulley" Sullivan Named Full-Time Driver
The biggest surprise of the press conference was the announcement of BRR's full-time driver for 2022—rookie racer Jimbo "Sulley" Sullivan.

“We’re putting all our trust into Sulley,” Bedlam stated. “We believe he’s got the raw talent and the determination to succeed at this level.”

Sullivan, a rising star from late model racing, is now set to make his Truck Series debut with BRR in 2022.

The press conference ended with Reynolds and Bedlam joking about their unexpected business partnership, with Reynolds adding:

"Tommy knows racing, I know business, and Sulley is gonna drive the wheels off this thing. What could possibly go wrong?"

With an ambitious rookie driver, a star-powered ownership group, and Chevrolet backing, BRR is instantly one of the most intriguing new teams heading into 2022.

Logan Slayer Rumored to Have Secured Full-Time Xfinity Ride for 2022
A major shake-up could be in the works for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series, as Logan Slayer is rumored to have reached an agreement with a team transitioning from a multi-driver part-time schedule to a full-time, single-driver entry.

While details remain unconfirmed, sources indicate that Slayer, currently driving for DGR-Crosley in the Truck Series, is on the verge of moving up to the Xfinity Series in a full-time capacity.

Industry Insider: "Logan Slayer has been a standout talent in Trucks, and teams have taken notice. The move from a part-time rotation to a full-time driver suggests this organization is putting all their chips on him for 2022."

Slayer has already established himself as a strong competitor, and if the rumors hold true, he’ll join Tommy Bedlam (#22 Team Penske) as another major Truck Series graduate making the jump to Xfinity next season.

Team Penske Secures #83 Truck Slot for 2022, Matt DiBenedetto to Drive
In a major move for the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series, Team Penske has officially purchased the #83 slot, formerly held by the now-defunct Niece Motorsports. Alongside this acquisition, Penske has confirmed that Matt DiBenedetto will pilot the #83 truck next season.

This marks DiBenedetto’s return to full-time NASCAR competition, as he transitions from the Cup Series to Trucks in what could be a career-rebuilding opportunity with one of the most dominant teams in the sport.

Team Penske Statement:
“We’re excited to expand our Truck Series program with the acquisition of the #83. Matt DiBenedetto is a seasoned competitor, and we’re confident he will bring both experience and leadership to our growing presence in the series.”

DiBenedetto joins Juice Millar (#53) under the Penske banner, forming a strong two-truck lineup for the team's first multi-entry Truck Series season.

This move further solidifies Team Penske's commitment to the Truck Series, especially after prioritizing Tommy Bedlam’s Xfinity efforts in 2022.

With DiBenedetto looking for redemption and Millar remaining a top contender, Team Penske is shaping up to be a force in next year’s championship battle.

+ + + +

After securing his best Xfinity finish to date (P2) in just his fourth start, Tommy Bedlam was all smiles post-race. He acknowledged how much he has learned in his limited starts and expressed excitement for what the future holds.

Tommy Bedlam’s Post-Race Comments:
"Man, this was a huge night for us. I’ve been feeling more comfortable in these Xfinity cars every race, but to finish second against some of these guys? That’s big. I thought we had a shot there at the end, just needed a little more. But we’re building something strong, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead."

Looking ahead to 2022, Bedlam confirmed that he will be joining Team Penske full-time next season, a move he sees as the best decision for his career.

"Team Penske is where I want to be. The resources, the history, the people—it’s the right place to grow. Seeing what they’ve done with young guys like Austin Cindric, I know this is the best opportunity to chase wins and championships."

With momentum from Nashville, and a full-time Penske ride in 2022, Tommy Bedlam is proving he’s a serious contender for the future.

Juice Millar Confirms 2022 Plans: Full-Time in Trucks, Part-Time in Xfinity

After the Tennessee Lottery 250, Juice Millar took time to discuss their future, confirming that they will remain in the Truck Series full-time for 2022 while also expanding their Xfinity Series presence with a planned part-time schedule next season.

Juice Millar on Their 2022 Schedule:
"Next year, the focus is still the Truck Series. I love racing in this series, and I feel like there’s still a lot we can accomplish. But we’re also looking to build up experience in Xfinity, so it’ll be a much more structured part-time schedule there."

Millar also made it clear that they have no desire to move full-time to Xfinity until at least 2023, regardless of how the rest of 2021 plays out.

"We’re happy with where we’re at. The goal is to keep learning, keep growing, and when we do move up full-time, we want to be fully prepared. That’s why 2023 is the target, not next year."

With a clear long-term plan in place, Millar is ensuring a gradual and smart transition up the NASCAR ladder while remaining a Truck Series title contender for 2022.

Bobby Rey & Dubba Best Reflect on Xfinity Debuts, Look Ahead to NIS in 2022
After making their Xfinity Series debuts at Nashville Superspeedway, Bobby Rey and Dubba Best took a moment to reflect on their first experiences in the series. Both drivers will be competing in the Barclays NIS (NASCAR International Series) next year, where they’ll drive cars with a similar package to what they raced at Nashville.

Bobby Rey on His Debut (#6, Hendrick Motorsports)
"It was a big moment for me to finally make an Xfinity start. The level of competition is different, but I feel like I learned a lot. The car handled well, and I got a good feel for what we’ll be working with next year in the NIS. It’s a great stepping stone for what’s coming."

Rey, who has been racing in the Truck Series, acknowledged the differences in the cars and how this race helped him prepare for the transition to international competition.

Dubba Best on His Debut (#39, RSS Racing)
"Man, I had a blast out there. It’s a whole different animal compared to what I’m used to, but I think we handled it well. I know next year’s NIS cars will have a similar feel, so getting this race under my belt was huge."

Best, a six-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion, has been working toward stock car racing for a while, and Nashville gave him a taste of what’s ahead.

Both Drivers Looking Forward to 2022
With their NIS futures secured, both Rey and Best see their Xfinity debuts as a valuable learning experience. They’ll continue working toward the transition, with Rey’s experience in stock cars and Best’s raw talent making them intriguing names to watch next year.

Ty Gibbs on 2022 Xfinity Roster: "They're Lucky Some Drivers Aren't Coming"
Ty Gibbs didn’t hold back when asked about the talent pool in the 2022 Xfinity Series field, suggesting that some of the current roster should be relieved that certain drivers are either staying in Trucks or heading to NIS instead of moving up full-time.

"I was expecting a much larger talent pool next season," Gibbs remarked. "There are some really strong guys in Trucks and others who are heading to the NIS that would’ve made things even tougher. The Xfinity field is already competitive, but let’s just say some drivers should be counting their blessings."

While Gibbs didn't call out specific names, it’s clear he’s referring to drivers like Juice Millar, who confirmed they’re staying full-time in the Truck Series with only a part-time Xfinity schedule in 2022, and Bobby Rey & Dubba Best, who are shifting focus to the international scene.

His comments hint at the belief that a different set of moves could have made the Xfinity grid even stronger, though with the likes of Tommy Bedlam stepping up full-time with Team Penske, competition will still be fierce.

Knoxville Raceway Dirt: Part One

25th June
knoxville_600.jpg

150 Laps (Stage 1 40, Stage 2: 50, Stage 3: 60 laps)

Dirt Racing Returns: Knoxville Awaits
The NASCAR Truck Series is set for its second and final dirt race of the season at Knoxville Raceway—one of the most iconic dirt tracks in the United States. With 150 laps of dirt slinging action, the battle for playoff spots only intensifies as we head into the crucial summer stretch.

This race will be a proving ground for dirt specialists, a challenge for those less familiar with the unique surface, and a potential wildcard event for those still seeking a playoff spot.

Qualifying was held under traditional single-truck time trial format, with each driver getting two laps to set their best time. The dirt surface at Knoxville meant track conditions changed throughout the session. Early runners had slightly better grip, while those running later had to deal with a slicker, dustier track.

TnQXVFt.png

Notable Qualifying Performances
Logan Slayer Rockets to Pole!
Dirt track specialist Logan Slayer put on a clinic in qualifying, setting the fastest lap at 22.864 seconds. This gives him a huge advantage heading into the race, as Knoxville’s narrow groove makes passing difficult.

Stewart Friesen Brings the Heat!
Dirt veteran Stewart Friesen came close to snatching the pole but settled for P2. He’ll be a major threat in the race.

Juice Millar & Tommy Bedlam Shine!
Both Millar (P3) and Bedlam (P4) were quick on the dirt, showing they can battle up front.

Surprise Qualifier: Bobby Rey in P8!
Bobby Rey, in just his second career dirt race, managed a strong 8th-place qualifying effort, proving he can handle the challenge.

Tough Qualifying for Kevin Magnussen
Former F1 driver Kevin Magnussen struggled on dirt, qualifying 23rd and look stuck in mud throughout.

Tanner Gray’s Victory Lane Interview – Knoxville Raceway
Reporter: Tanner Gray, you just pulled off an incredible last-lap pass to win your first-ever Truck Series race! How does it feel to be standing here in Victory Lane?

Tanner Gray (#02, Young’s Motorsports): Man, this is unreal! I don’t even know what to say. Coming into tonight, I knew we had a good truck, but I didn’t think we’d be in position to win, let alone steal it on the final lap! My guys at Young’s Motorsports gave me a rocket, and we just kept digging all night.

Reporter: You had to chase down Zane Smith in those final laps. Walk us through that last-lap move.

Tanner Gray: Zane was fast, no doubt. I thought I was gonna have to settle for second, but then I saw a gap going into Turn 3, and I sent it! The dirt here at Knoxville can be tricky, but I knew if I could get the grip coming off Turn 4, I had a shot. We banged a little, but that’s just good short-track racing. I still can’t believe it worked!

Reporter: This makes you the 10th different winner this season, and with Blaze suspended, only one more playoff spot remains. How big is this win for you and your team?

Tanner Gray: Oh, it’s massive! We’ve had our ups and downs, but I kept telling the guys, ‘We’re close. We just need one good night.’ And here we are! Now we don’t have to stress about points—we’re in!

Reporter: Who do you want to thank for this breakthrough win?

Tanner Gray: First off, I gotta thank my whole team at Young’s Motorsports. They worked their tails off to get us here. Also, Chevrolet, all our sponsors, and my family for sticking with me through the tough times. And to the fans—man, this is what racing is all about! This is just the beginning for us!

With that, Tanner Gray celebrates with his team, hoisting the trophy and making it clear—he’s now a playoff contender!

Zane Smith Reacts to Heartbreaking Loss at Knoxville
Reporter: Zane, you led those final laps, and it looked like you had it won until Tanner Gray made that last-lap move. How tough is this one to take?

Zane Smith (#70, Team Red Bull): Man, my heart just dropped when he got by me. I thought we had it. I knew he was closing in, but I was just trying to hit my marks and not make a mistake. Then, coming into Turn 3, he sent it, and by the time I realized he was there, it was too late. Just tough to stomach right now.

Reporter: With three races left, your playoff spot is still uncertain. How frustrating is it to be in this position?

Zane Smith: It’s frustrating for sure. I mean, we’ve been fast all year, but we just haven’t been able to seal the deal. Now with Tanner winning, that means there’s only one playoff spot left open. We wanted to lock ourselves in tonight, and we came this close. But now, we’re still on the bubble, and anything can happen in these last few races.

Reporter: Despite the heartbreak, this was still a strong race for you. What’s the mindset going forward?

Zane Smith: We just have to keep fighting. We’ve been in the mix every week, and we know we have the speed to win. We just need things to go our way. It’s gonna be a battle to the end, but I’m not giving up.

Reporter: Do you have any words for your team after tonight?

Zane Smith: Yeah, I just wanna thank my guys at Team Red Bull. They gave me a great truck. It just wasn’t our night. We’ll regroup and be ready for the next one.

With that, Zane Smith walks away, clearly frustrated but determined to fight for his playoff spot in the final stretch of the season.

Brandon Brown to Leave Xfinity, Join GMS Racing in 2022 Truck Series
In a major shake-up for both the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series, Brandon Brown has officially announced that he will be leaving the Xfinity Series at the end of the 2021 season. The Brandonbilt Motorsports driver, who has been a staple in the series, will transition to the NASCAR Truck Series in 2022, taking over the #2 GMS Racing Chevrolet.

Brown’s move fills the final vacant seat at GMS, solidifying their lineup for the upcoming season. The team recently announced Tyler Ankrum in the newly acquired #45 truck, leaving Brown to take over the spot that had been open for much of the silly season discussions.

Brandon Brown on the Move to GMS
"This was a really tough decision, but the opportunity to join a championship-caliber team like GMS Racing was something I couldn’t pass up. I’ve had an incredible journey with Brandonbilt Motorsports, and I’m beyond grateful for everything we’ve built together. But I’m excited for this next chapter in my career, and I can’t wait to compete for wins in the Truck Series."

GMS Racing’s 2022 Lineup is Set
With Brown’s announcement, GMS Racing has now locked in their 2022 lineup:

#2 – Brandon Brown
#23 – Ty Majeski
#45 – Tyler Ankrum
Brown’s move means a return to full-time Truck Series competition, where he last ran part-time early in his career. Now, he gets a fresh start with one of the series’ most competitive teams.

With the 2022 Truck Series grid rapidly filling up, all eyes are now on the final Xfinity and NIS seats as the off-season approaches.

DGR-Crosley Announces Manufacturer Switch & Rebrand to Toyota Gazoo Racing for 2022
In a major shake-up for the NASCAR Truck Series, DGR-Crosley has revealed that they will be switching manufacturers for the 2022 season and rebranding as Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR). The move makes the team Toyota’s new official flagship team in the Truck Series, an honor previously held by Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Why the Change?
The decision to make the switch comes after a breakout season for Logan Slayer (#40) and Barbie Stellar (#27), both of whom have drawn major attention to DGR-Crosley’s program. With Slayer already a Championship Four contender and Stellar showing strong promise, Toyota saw an opportunity to bring DGR under its umbrella as a factory-backed powerhouse.

Team Statement:
"The success we’ve had with Logan and Barbie has put us in a position where we need to take the next step. Aligning with Toyota and becoming Toyota Gazoo Racing gives us the resources and backing to compete at the highest level. This is a huge moment for our organization."

What This Means for 2022
DGR-Crosley will be officially renamed Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) in the Truck Series.
They will switch from Ford to Toyota, making them the new top team in Toyota’s development ladder.
This marks the first time Toyota Gazoo Racing branding will appear in NASCAR, aligning with Toyota’s global motorsports push.

How This Affects DGR’s Drivers
Logan Slayer (#40) and Barbie Stellar (#27) are expected to continue with the team.
Tyler Ankrum (#26) has already confirmed his departure to GMS Racing, with their no longer being a third card next season due to the 26-car limit.
This move shifts the balance of power in the Truck Series, giving Toyota a new top-tier team to develop future Cup Series talent. With Kyle Busch Motorsports scaling back its operations, Toyota Gazoo Racing could soon become THE dominant force in the series.

Expect more major announcements from Toyota and TGR as the 2022 season approaches

Kyle Busch Reacts to Toyota’s Shift Away from KBM as Top Development Team

In a surprising turn of events, Kyle Busch has spoken out regarding Toyota's decision to make DGR-Crosley (soon to be Toyota Gazoo Racing) their new top development team in the NASCAR Truck Series.

During a media availability, Busch admitted that he hadn’t expected Toyota to shift its focus away from Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) after years of dominance in the series.

Busch's Full Statement:
"I won’t lie—I wasn’t expecting this. KBM has been Toyota’s flagship team in the Truck Series for years, and we’ve developed a ton of talent that’s now winning at the highest level. But clearly, this is a wake-up call for everyone. No team is entitled to being the top dog forever. If anything, this just proves that if you’re not evolving, someone else will."

Busch also acknowledged that this move forces teams, including his own, to reassess their approach to maintaining manufacturer support.

"We’ve had some struggles this year, but that’s part of the sport. If Toyota thinks DGR—uh, I mean, Toyota Gazoo Racing—is the way forward, then that’s their call. But you can bet that KBM isn’t going anywhere. We’ll keep proving why we’ve been the gold standard for so long.

What This Means for KBM Moving Forward
With Toyota shifting its full backing to TGR, KBM may have to operate with fewer factory resources, which could impact their future driver lineup and competitiveness. There are now big questions about how KBM will respond, including:

- Will KBM stay with Toyota despite losing its top-team status?
- Could KBM consider a manufacturer switch (Ford or Chevrolet)?
- How will this affect driver development, especially for young talent looking to move up Toyota’s ladder?

While Busch remains confident in KBM’s ability to compete, the landscape of the Truck Series has undoubtedly changed.

Team Red Bull Unveils Honda Ridgeline Prototype for 2022
In a groundbreaking development for the NASCAR Truck Series, Team Red Bull has officially revealed their Honda prototype for the 2022 season. The new Honda Ridgeline, built on a NASCAR-approved truck series chassis, marks a significant step toward the potential entry of Honda into the series in the coming years.

Le8Lmcf.png

Key Details About the Prototype:
Chassis Approval: The Ridgeline prototype meets NASCAR’s current Truck Series chassis regulations.
Non-Competitive Status: The truck will not compete in any official races next year but has been approved for on-track practice runs at eight different tracks throughout the season.
Development Focus: The team will use these tests to collect data, fine-tune performance, and gauge Honda’s viability as a future Truck Series manufacturer.

Red Bull's Vision for the Future
With the debut of this prototype, Team Red Bull signals its long-term commitment to bringing Honda into NASCAR's national series. While Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota have been the dominant forces, the potential arrival of Honda could shake up manufacturer competition in the coming seasons.

Statement from Team Red Bull Spokesperson:
"This is a massive step forward for both Team Red Bull and Honda. The Ridgeline prototype represents our commitment to innovation and expanding the competitive landscape of the NASCAR Truck Series. We may not be racing it in 2022, but make no mistake—this is just the beginning."

Tracks Approved for Testing:
While the full list has not been disclosed, sources indicate that the Ridgeline will be allowed on track at a mix of short tracks, intermediates, road courses, and dirt tracks to gather a wide range of data.

What This Means for the Truck Series
If testing goes well, Honda could be in position to officially enter NASCAR's Truck Series in 2023 - which would mark the first new manufacturer to join the series in over a decade.

JWRC Portugal Rally
The second round of the 2021 FIA Junior WRC Championship, the Rally de Portugal, delivered everything fans could ask for—intense battles, heartbreak, redemption, and a breakout performance from an American underdog. Over three days of gruelling gravel stages, young rally hopefuls tackled the tough Portuguese terrain in identical Ford Fiesta R2s, all prepared by M-Sport.

Shakedown & Opening Ceremony
The rally officially began with a short Shakedown stage where drivers got a final chance to test their setups before the timed competition. Jon Armstrong and Sami Pajari showed early pace, but the biggest buzz surrounded American driver Butt Hertz, who was still adjusting to the brutal gravel roads.

Hertz’s thoughts:
"It’s rougher than anything I’ve ever driven on. I knew rallying was intense, but this is next level!"

A spectacular Opening Ceremony in Coimbra set the stage for what would be a thrilling weekend ahead.

Hertz Step Ups The Performance in Portugal
Butt Hertz was absolutely thrilled after his strong performance at Rally de Portugal. In his post-race interview, he expressed how much this event meant to him, reflecting on his rapid progress from his debut in Croatia, where he won his first-ever JWRC stage, to now taking three stage victories in Portugal.

"It's been an incredible journey," Hertz said with a beaming smile. "To go from my first-ever stage win in Croatia to three here in Portugal—it feels like a dream come true. Every rally I've participated in has been a steep learning curve, but the support from my team, DirtyFish, and the incredible competition here has pushed me to keep improving."

He also emphasized the competitive nature of the JWRC, mentioning how every stage was a challenge, but he embraced it fully. "The level here is incredibly high, and just being a part of this championship is a huge achievement. I feel like I’ve stepped up my game, and that’s what it’s all about."

Hertz highlighted his growth over the past few rallies, and expressed confidence in his continued improvement, especially with his standout stage wins. “Winning three stages here is a huge milestone for me, and I’m hungry for more. It’s only the beginning, and I’m looking forward to what the rest of the season brings."

The young American, who previously admitted to never having raced in such a competitive environment, now stands as a growing force in the JWRC, and fans are eager to see how he fares as the season progresses.

DGR-Crosley_0.jpg

Logan Slayer expressed immense joy and pride after becoming the first driver in the 2021 Truck Series season to secure three wins overall. During the post-race interview, he shared his excitement and gratitude, acknowledging the hard work put in by his team at DGR-Crosley.

Here’s a snippet of what Logan had to say:
"This is incredible. To be the first driver to win three races this season, it's something I'll cherish forever. But honestly, this win is all thanks to the team—DGR-Crosley has been absolutely amazing. We've had the speed all year, and it's a testament to the work we’ve all put in. I couldn't be prouder of what we've accomplished, and we’re not stopping here. There’s still a lot of racing left to do, and we’ll keep pushing for more wins and aiming for the playoffs."

Logan’s win was not only a milestone for him personally but also a statement to his competitors in the series. With three wins under his belt, he is setting himself up as a serious contender as the Truck Series heads toward the playoffs.

Zane Smith opened up about his frustration after finishing second once again, this time at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Despite another strong performance, the runner-up finish left him feeling disappointed and concerned about the remaining opportunities for securing a spot in the playoffs.

Here’s a summary of his comments:
"It’s frustrating, no doubt about it. To come so close again and finish second—it's just not enough. We’ve been fast all season, but getting so close and not being able to close the deal is tough. With only a few races left, I’m not going to sugarcoat it, but I feel like I’ve got no choice but to win at Pocono or Richmond. If we don’t get a win, this season is going to feel like a complete waste of time. I know the team has the speed, but it’s all about putting it together when it matters most. There’s no more time for second-place finishes—we need to go out and win."

Zane’s comments reflect the pressure he’s feeling as the season winds down and the urgency to secure a win becomes even clearer. With only a couple of chances left, Pocono and Richmond are pivotal in determining whether Zane can secure a spot in the playoffs and turn around what’s been a season full of near-misses.

Kaulig Racing has officially announced that Kevin Magnussen will be making the full-time move to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2022, driving the #11 Chevrolet. This comes as Justin Haley is set to graduate to the Cup Series, leaving the seat open for Magnussen to step in.

Kaulig Racing’s Statement:
"We are excited to welcome Kevin Magnussen to our team as the full-time driver of the No. 11 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series next season. Kevin has shown incredible adaptability in different forms of motorsport, and we believe his talent and experience will be a great asset to our program. We’re confident that he will be a strong competitor right out of the gate."

Kevin Magnussen’s Reaction:
"This is an incredible opportunity for me, and I can't thank Kaulig Racing enough for believing in me. Transitioning to NASCAR has been a challenge, but it's one I’ve really enjoyed so far. Getting to race full-time in Xfinity next season is a dream come true. I can’t wait to get started and go after wins in 2022."

Kevin Magnussen on His Xfinity Series Debut at Mid-Ohio:
"What an experience! Jumping into an Xfinity car for the first time was a challenge, but I loved every minute of it. The racing here is intense, and Mid-Ohio is such a demanding track. We had great pace, and to bring home a top-five finish with Mike Harmon Racing is something I’m really proud of. A massive thank you to Kaulig Racing for helping set me up with this opportunity—it wouldn’t have happened without them. Hopefully, this isn’t the last time you see me in NASCAR!"

Magnussen’s impressive 5th-place finish in his Xfinity debut has sparked speculation about future NASCAR appearances, and with Kaulig Racing announcing him as their full-time Xfinity driver for next year, the Danish racer seems fully committed to this new chapter in his career.

Arthur D’Tea on His Second Race with Joe Gibbs Racing and Future Xfinity Hopes:
"It’s been a fantastic experience getting another shot with Joe Gibbs Racing. The car had great pace, and I feel like I’m really getting comfortable in the Xfinity Series. I’ve had some discussions, and there’s definitely a good chance that an offer could come for next year, but I’m not counting my chickens yet. There’s still a lot of racing left this season, and I need to keep proving myself on track. If an opportunity comes, I want to make sure I’ve earned it."

D’Tea’s strong performances in limited Xfinity starts have certainly put him on the radar for a potential full-time seat in 2022, but for now, he remains focused on finishing the current season strong.

Taylor Kitchen: Tommy, that was one of your worst finishes of the season. Can you give us some insight into what happened out there?

Tommy Bedlam: That whole race sucked, really. Didn't qualify good at all. Got stuck in the back of the pack, and couldn't make up any track position. I've never been shy about the fact that road courses aren't my speciality, and I think that was just put on full display this weekend. We were tight on part of the course, loose on the rest. The guys worked their asses off to try to get me some help, but just nothing worked. I wouldn't be mad if they filled this place up with water and stocked it with fish. It'd be a better lake than it is a race track. Ah well; we'll get back to trying to win races next week.

1280px-Pocono_Raceway.svg.png

60 Laps (Stage 1–2 15: laps; Stage 3: 30 laps)

The Tricky Triangle lived up to its name as drivers took to the 2.5-mile superspeedway for a crucial qualifying session. With only one playoff spot still open, intensity was high, especially for Zane Smith, who entered desperate for a win. Meanwhile, drivers like Logan Slayer, Tanner Gray, and Tommy Bedlam looked to continue their strong form.

Qualifying Breakdown:
- Zane Smith Takes Pole: After back-to-back runner-up finishes, Smith finally lands a pole position, setting the fastest lap and giving himself the best shot at a must-win scenario.

- Logan Slayer Stays Hot: The three-time race winner narrowly missed the pole by 0.025 seconds, but starts P2, setting up an exciting drag race into Turn 1.

- Juice Millar & Tommy Bedlam Representing GMS & Penske: Both drivers continued their strong qualifying form, locking down Row 2 with top-four lap times.

- K-Mag Impresses Again: In his Truck Series start at the technically challenge Tricky Trianggle, Kevin Magnussen showed serious speed, qualifying inside the top five.

- Tanner Gray Rounds Out the Top 10: The Knoxville winner barely cracked the top 10, but his race pace could make him a threat late.

With Smith on pole and desperate for a win, and Slayer looking to add to his victory tally, the Pocono Truck race is set to be an all-out battle!

Victory Lane Celebration – Stewart Friesen Clinches Playoff Spot!
30fbeebc8fec4434779b0758dc3ac29c128e71aabe2bb5c2fd83e5d351c8a4ba.jpg

Stewart Friesen celebrated in style after his dramatic victory at Pocono, locking himself into the Round of Ten in the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs.

As soon as he climbed out of his #52 Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota, Friesen threw his arms in the air, letting out a huge yell of excitement. His crew swarmed him, showering him with champagne and high-fives.

Friesen in Victory Lane: “Man, this feels incredible! We’ve been grinding all season, and finally, we got it done. Locking into the Round of Ten—it’s huge! My guys gave me an awesome truck, and I knew we had a shot if we just stayed patient. Zane (Smith) raced me clean, and I can’t thank my team enough for sticking with me. We’re in, baby!”

With the Round of Ten now in his sights, Friesen and his team know the pressure is off for the next race at Richmond. However, with momentum on their side, they’ll push for more wins and extra playoff points before the next round begins.

Playoff Picture Tightens – Stellar & Loochhausen at Risk!
With Stewart Friesen locking himself into the Round of Ten with his win at Pocono, the Truck Series Playoff battle is now razor-thin, and both Barbie Stellar and Germain Loochhausen are in a dangerous position—despite having wins this season.

Why Are They Vulnerable?
Only 10 spots are available in the Round of Ten. With 10 unique winners, one of them could still miss out if a high-standing driver without a win (like Zane Smith, Arthur D'Tea, or Grant Enfinger) wins at Richmond. With Brandon Blaze suspended, there are only two non-locked playoff spots left due to mathematical impossibilities, increasing the risk.

The Key Players to Watch at Richmond:
Zane Smith (#70) – 2nd at Pocono and consistently fast, desperate to win to erase doubt.
Arthur D’Tea (#51) – Strong on short tracks, in solid points position, but not safe yet.
Grant Enfinger (#71) – Has been close all season and a Richmond win would shake everything up.

Scenarios That Could Eliminate Stellar or Loochhausen:
✅ If Zane Smith OR Arthur D’Tea OR Grant Enfinger wins at Richmond, that bumps one of the lowest-ranked winners (like Stellar or Loochhausen) below the cutoff.
✅ If a repeat winner (like Logan Slayer, Stewart Friesen, Juice Millar, etc.) wins Richmond, Stellar and Loochhausen are safer, but points could still knock them out.
✅ If a total shocker (like a winless mid-pack driver) takes Richmond, both drivers are in deep trouble.
Barbie Stellar and Germain Loochhausen must ensure they remain inside the Top 20 in the standings, with both not completely safe in this regard.

Loochhausen Fumes at Bedlam After Pocono Wreck, Hints at Revenge!
Germain Loochhausen did not hold back after his late-race crash at Pocono, pointing the finger directly at Tommy Bedlam for the wreck that forced both drivers to retire. With his playoff position now under serious threat, Loochhausen made it very clear that he hasn’t forgotten what happened—and that Bedlam might be in for some payback.

"If I end up missing out on points because of that idiot, then I swear, I'll make sure to get my revenge when it hurts him the most. He can count on that."

Loochhausen didn’t outright say he’d retaliate, but the thinly veiled threat suggests that if Bedlam makes the playoffs, he might find himself looking over his shoulder—especially when every point matters in the postseason.

A Brewing Feud at the Worst Possible Time?
Bedlam is already locked into the playoffs—but could a revenge move from Loochhausen ruin his championship chances?
Loochhausen is on the playoff bubble—he now needs a strong finish at Richmond to stay in the hunt.
Could this lead to an on-track payback? If Loochhausen is eliminated, will he take matters into his own hands?
With tensions flaring and Richmond looming, this rivalry might just be getting started. Stay tuned—this could get ugly.
