Underwhelming is for sure the right word. Now people are speculating that they could shut down the 88 ride.

Apparently Hendrick had tweeted often during the day and the first word in every tweet formed a sentence about Alex Bowman moving to the 48. I'm more amazed about that than them picking Alex.

They probably put Bowman in the 48 because it has a secure primary sponsor for the whole 2021 season with Ally while the 88 most likely doesn't.

So yeah, all eyes are on what happens with the 88 now.

I know the story from the tweet I posted suggested the 88 will be replaced. So someone is going into the car.

I also heard ramblings from someone on that racing forum I'm at, that they might renumber it and go back to using 5 or 25. Some classic numbers for the team. We'll see.

Xfinity - Briscoe winning the stage one and looking dominant, really starts to set the tone for his playoff run. Especially, when there is an expectation that he will aid Cindric get that playoff berth. Herbst got absolutely whomped by Hill, who is meant to be helping him today. Side draft....and then the caution called as they were getting ready to leave again, I don't have any feelings of sympathies for Chastain at all and RED FLAG! Got to love Briscoe claiming that 2nd stage win! FORD POWER BAYBAY!

A caution with thirty to go: a sprint to end X-Dega. A great win by Haley, Briscoe was lucky to survive the first slide but the second was too much not that it really matters for him anymore. Chastain is in trouble though - if he makes a mistake at 'The Roval' he is gone bye bye. Cup Series - tonight and tomorrow - then I will be happy, because I think the 'Roval' is a great track. I think European motor fans enjoy the road courses more than Dixies do.

Just watched the Cup Series race, finish made no sense. Thought caution should have been called way before anyway. Who is making these calls? Idiots

I'm only surprised that it is happening this soon. Thought Bowyer would stick to racing for a few more years at least.

So I guess the #14 is opening up.....Chase Briscoe. He has said that he wants to be in the cup series after this year. I'll be shocked if he isn't selected to fill that seat.

I also would not be shocked if Larson gets it.

That’s if he ask to be reinstated, NASCAR does it, they find sponsors who will actually sponsor him, and Ford is on board also.

But I mean if all that happens!!! LOL.

So many changes next year not only for the tracks they are on, but who’s in what cars.

Not sure about my cross-atlantic compatriots - but I love a bit of a rain race around a circuit track. Kaz Grala picks up his first stage win Xfinity and this race is going to be a real survival fight now. ROVAL BAYBAY!

So annoyed that Chase Briscoe slipped on the restart and lost what would have been a great win, AJ Dinger claiming the victory though is good for the kid and I think that rain made it a real tricky encounter. I have no idea - where this leave the rest of the playoff contenders and who is going to advance to the Round of 8 now.

Well that was a crazy and wet xfinity race! The 'Dinger wins again!

Feel bad for Briscoe for spinning out while in the lead from a puddle at the end.

Gragson sure has a lot of determination. Spins out several times, misses many corners and still finishes second with a beaten up car.

Looking forward to tomorrows cup race.

Cup race was a bit dead I felt.

Chevys swept the Roval races.

I really want to see Erik Jones get another opportunity in a good ride for next year. Joey Logano struggled in that JGR 20 car and now he has had much more success since going to Penske.

Hopefully Chase Elliott keeps this momentum going. He sure knows how to win on road courses. With next year having more of them, that helps him even more.
