Mysterio Once Again Injured

How did you guys ever fail to miss my point so much? When did I ever say that Rey doesn't love the business and should quit it because of his age? Its more his condition. If he had avoided most of those injuries and not wrestled the style he did for so long then I would think than he might still have many years ahead of him. And by the way Chris I am against Flair still wrestling into his 50s/60s?

If Rey carries on he could cripple himself for the rest of his life, he has a good career and should take a leaf out of Shawn Michael's playbook and quit while your on top and enjoy life away from the ring.

You asked if the love of the business worth ruining your life. That kind of made your point... well pointless. That's what love is man! He clearly cares about the business enough to keep going. I've always thought he was a smart one, and he is. He obviously knows what he's doing otherwise he wouldn't be out there doing what he's doing.

But he has nothing left to prove. And returning to my question is it worth ruining your life for, simplev answer no. I am a big wrestling fan, and have been a big Rey Mysterio fan, but I am also a human being, and I don't want to see another human being crippled just for my own enjoyment.

And he couldn't just pay for the surgeries to help him live out the rest of his years with the money he is making now? He wasn't making much in Mexico, Japan, ECW or even WCW as he is making in WWE, who the hell wouldn't want to keep filling their cup?

He is just collecting interest on all those dues he had to pay before he went to WWE......Also, Flair is happiest in the ring, who are you, and who am I to be against it? we don't know him personally, aand most likely never will, so to act like we have a personal interest in his life is just recockulous.

It's a tricky scenario really because yeah he might love the business but he has absolutely nothing left to prove or achieve anymore. He's not getting near the world title and i'd be damn surprised if he was even considered for a midcard or tag title run in all honesty. Thinking about it though, maybe the only thing left for him is to stick aroud until WWE gets that next masked luchadore on the main roster who can take his place and he can happily ride off into the sunset.

I just feel as though with where he is in his career now and the endless injuries he's picked up over the years, he could easily give back to the business in other ways like being a trainer for example where he's still doing bits of what he loves but on the other hand it's nowhere near as taxing on his body.

That's a good point. If Rey's gotta eat then surely there's something else he can do.

Like what? He's been a wrestler since he was 16. His type of style does not mean he could be a very good agent. Like a Wayne Gretzky being a coach, you can't teach stuff that just came natural.

I agree with you mostly, but I think WWE would find something for him to keep him on the payroll. I'm sure the guy can do something else in the business besides wrestle like being a trainer or something.

He could always be an ambassador in the Latino markets easily, he just comes off as a nice guy, and that's a good thing to have in markets full of marks. I just have issue wit people talking about someone should retire because they don't want to see them....It's all fine and dandy if "they" don't want to see them, but "they" don't speak for everyone.

Can't speak for everyone, but I never said he should retire because I don't want to see him, but because it is not worth the risk to his health and like me and Dale have said he has nothing left to prove, and should go out retaining a good legacy like Michaels did. Now its Flair I don't want to see anymore, lol.
