My first paid job

I'm now employed. I found out today that my application for a camp counselor was successful. I'm gonna make $1500 for the summer. I'm excited as shit. My first job. How 'bout that?

It should be a really good experience for you which will be good. I've always thought being a Camp Conselor sounds quite fun so I hope you have a really awesome time doing it. It's also a great thing to put on your CV (resume in America) as it shows you have experience working with younger people and being in a position of power.

Sounds pretty great to me, make sure you have a blast and ensure the others have a great time too.

It's been a little over 10 years since I got my first official job out of high school. I had joined a work training program in high school and it helped me get training at an auto parts store that ended up not hiring me, so that summer I spent most of my days searching for work with my job coach and I found one that I stayed with for about 5 and a half years before it got shut down by the owner. It was a local Mom and Pop supermarket and I was a bag boy, basically what I did was bag groceries, collect the shopping carts from the parking lot, and any janitorial work that had to be done.

Now I work at a big chain retail store and I have been there for about 2 and a half years.

Well a little update. Today was my second day and me along with the other counselors in my group almost got fired because we lost a kid. The kid is probably Blue and never listens.

Part of the job is to make sure the kid listens though, you need to make sure that something like that doesn't happen again.

Slapping this shit out of them always solves the problem of them not listening. However, that is seriously frowned upon in this "NEW" pussified America, so its best to try and keep a watchful eye on your trouble makers. What I would do is get with the other employees and take accountability shifts of your trouble makers. That way you keep up with them, and share responsibility with others.
