Well from my perspective, it does make protection reasonably harder for town, and opens up more redirection/blocking options for scum. assuming he's town, it also provided another surefire target for them where they dont accidentally shoot at the sk. on t he good side, it increases chance of cross fire

Ftr I'm not a fan of the night claim either but Vig is one of the more reasonable outcomes from it. Free town read and as far as vig's go he's one of the more outable.

I mean it isn't optimal to get town to claim at night especially on day one because it gives a full scum team with a full holster of usage more info to play with. The more in the dark scum team is the better from my perspective, why do you think it was?

Like I'll stand by that it was unecessary given the circumstances. But I also understand that if you truly do believe his claim, and gives you a confirm and narrows your pool (assuming you are town), then I at least can accept your reasoning. I just disagree with it myself.

Well I'm bantha fodder because a) there's no way I get my shot off tonight, and b) I'm a prime kill target. Mind you, scum might hedge their bets on my woeful record as vig.

Although Odo says I'm the worst vig ever (and others would agree 100%), so my gun is packed up and I'm ready to meet my maker.

Is this in a hypothetical scenario where he claimed something else? or do you doubt his actual claim?

Like ofc it's also easy to see it as scummy and perceive it as odo exploiting a weak player with a very soft push for a claim that worked in his favor, sure. I'm just going to currently believe Odo would not be that see through
