That was a suplexing machine. 3 suplexes with the third one pretty much finishing the guy off. That was nice. Very nice.

Chris Benoit would have been proud of that fight.

I'm liking this card. These fights are vicious... they are all being finished.

No surprise at Nelson winning, impressed by how quickly he finished Mitrione though. Hopefully they could still book the Nelson/Carwin fight at a later date.

So with the end of the year coming up, how would you guys say this year was? What are you expecting from the world of MMA in 2013?

For me, 2012 was pretty good. My favorite fighter became champion (Bendo) i was able to attend a UFC show and a few small regional shows around where i live. For the UFC it has been a pretty big year, and i hope it continues into next year although i really do hope that they stop doing shows on Fuel TV and just keep it to Fox, FX and PPV. . Also, even though it was inevitable I'm a little disappointed that Strikeforce isn't going to be around, they put on solid shows through out the year and it's a shame they're closing their doors. It's going to be a another big year for the UFC in 2013, with them bring in female fighters, and absorbing most of Strikeforce's roster making for some interesting fights to look out for.

I'll probably remember the rise of Rousey, the lack of Ubereem and Silva clowning Bonnar the most. Nothing really stands out to me in MMA in 2012.

This was the year of injuries.

Pretty much wrescked what would've been a great year for MMA. But it was the first kink in the armour imo.

It was a solid year for fights but not one big story really stands out, even the Sonnen/Silva rematch came and went without much fanfare.

Tito, Bonnar and Lesnar retired while some of the young guns made their mark ie Demetrious Johnson, Barao, Rory Macdonald, Bendo. I guess the changing of the guard is the big news for me, either that or the comebacks out of nowhere (Varner, Matt Brown, Dan Hardy, Marquardt)

Mostly looking forward to all the Strikeforce guys merging into UFC next year. Nate The Great at Welterweight, Cormier, melendez, hell even Rousey's debut. Early half of the year has some good fights too.
