In case anybody is curious, this is the card for the last SF show, if they don't end up cancelling the show. They're now labeling it Strikeforce: Champions as well.

The latest "Strikeforce: Champions" card now includes:

Nate Marquardt vs. Tarec Saffiedine - for welterweight title
Daniel Cormier vs. Dion Staring
Gegard Mousasi vs. Mike Kyle
Lorenz Larkin vs. Ronaldo Souza
Josh Barnett vs. Nandor Guelmino*
Pat Healy vs. Jorge Masvidal
Roger Gracie vs. Anthony Smith
Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Smith
Ryan Couture vs. K.J. Noons

Only interested in how Barnett does tbh.

Looks pretty easy nights work for Cormier and Marquardt.

UFC disgust me, binned us UK fans off with a garbage card last year and rumoured to be giving us Struve vs Kongo as a main event at Wembley Arena in Feb.

Give us an important fight for once, jesus christ.

UFCs outside the US and Brazil always get garbage cards thesedays, they save all the good cards for the States and/or debuting in a new country before they inevitable relegate their 'new hot market' to cards nobody really cares about. The latest card in Aus was to be headlined by two go nowhere fighters that nobody outside of a few drunk patriots who overly love their country care about. You compare that to the first UFC in Aus we got CroCop, Wandy, Bisping, Big Nog, Cain, now they give us Sotirop-Pearson and Lombards chance to prove he's not all hype.

Matt Riddle vs. Che Mills was added to that card as well, even though that's not going to help much.

So apparently GSP Is asking for 50 Million dollars to fight Anderson Silva.

Not sure if it's true or not, but GSP was quoted saying he thinks Anderson could end his career if they fought, and he wants to be set for life.

50 million? that is insane.

Oh yeah GSP did have like a week after the fight to make his decision. But that sounds rather crazy.

Yeah, because GSP isn't already set for life, come on. He could dodge Anderson and just continue to fight at his current weight class and he'll end up being fine financial wise.

I'm honestly not convinced Anderson would inflict that much harm to him, I do think Silva would win the fight between the two if they match up but I don't think it warrants 50 Million, plus what he gets from sponsors and what not.

GSPs already set for life and Silva's not the kind of person who wrecks somebody so bad that they're left in a pool of their own blood, he clowns them so badly that they dont look like they even belong in the same sport as him.

Apparently GSP already pulls in around $8 million per fight, bit crazy to be asking for $50 million when he is already earning a truckload of money. Those two should be earning a heap each but just give them a large cut of PPV buys, that way it is up to them to help hype and promote it and get people to buy it. I am sure that it will easily break the 1 million barrier and if they pushed it hard enough they could stretch it towards 2 million with the right card beneath them.

UFC could go pro-wrestling style as well and say that it is a retirement match, whoever loses retires from MMA effective immediately, just to drum up more buys.

Like what was said up a few posts ago, Silva doesn't really hurt anybody he just makes you look like a joke.

I think that the fight is going to happen, I'm not sure if GSP will get 50 Million, they should come to a solid number and pay both fighters the same amount.

I really don't think St. Pierre's career is in any kind of jeopardy of ending if he fights Silva.

This will end up being the Mayweather/Pacquiao of MMA.
