Damn losing Rockhold and Melendez for their last show is a huge hit, not to mention the UFC has already poached Rousey, so their last show will just have Marquart and Cormier as the main attractions, doesn't seem very special now.

This is going to be a really, really weak way to go out. Pity because the all in final supercard sounded great, just a shame that the UFC injury curse has spread to Strikeforce as well.

That just has to be a very brutal pill to swallow having to deal with that. Strikeforce been done but now... they were gonna go out with a bang and they can't even do that.

Melendez seems a bit injury prone lately, hope he isn't as banged up as he sounds because I'd hate for him to lose a step before coming into the UFC.

Strikeforce should just bow out without fanfare, it is pretty obvious Zuffa has nothing they want to offer Showtime, so why bother beating a dead horse?

Overeem-Big Foot Silva is now official for UFC 156.

Its official already? I thought Overeem wouldn't know if he is cleared until late December

The fight is signed, under the condition that he gets clearance from the Athletic Commission to fight. But seeing as they gave the UFC permission to sign him to a fight, i think it's likely they'll let him go through with the fight.
