Chances of him resigning seem to change all the time, a couple months ago he was all but out the door, now it's not really talked about so much that he's leaving, so I don't know. I think at this point we should just let him go though, he's still a good player, but I do believe he'll become a liability sooner rather then later, and I don't want him to be a Rangers when that happens. He's got a couple more years of being a damn good player though.
Yeah i read somewhere that he was looking for an 8-10 year deal. I just don't see any team taking that kind of risk on a guy who is injury prone and has already slipped up twice in his recovery from alcohol/substance abuse. You're right though if he can stay healthy and clean he's definitely got a couple real good years left in him. My hope for the guy is he stays far away from the big market cities (NY, Boston, Philly, Chicago)... too much temptation for a guy who already struggles dealing with it
