XXV: “ALL TO PLAY FOR.”
Live from Odessa Theatre in Odessa, Ukraine.
Thursday 12th January, 2023.
FIRST MATCH - 1/20
Celestia Ravenwood vs. Dan LuPone vs. Jackson Fenix.
Triple Threat Match - #1 Contender Match for the FWA World Tag Team Championships
Match Writer: Jimmy.
After The Connection prevailed in the Mile High Massacre match on Fallout 024 to retain their FWA World Tag Team Championships, their next challengers to face them at Back in Town will be determined in the opening contest of Meltdown XXV in Odessa. In a twist from the norm, the next challengers will be determined in singles competition, with a representative from three of the teams that challenged for the titles in Sziget stepping forward to earn the right to face The Connection again on behalf of their team. Celestia Ravenwood (of The Coven), Dan LuPone (of The Lumberjacks) and Jackson Fenix (of The Undisputed Alliance) will do battle in a match that each of their partners will assuredly have a vested interest in. Whether these competitors will be going into the match at full capacity remains to be seen after the gruelling affair that was Mile High Massacre.
SECOND MATCH - 1/30
Chris Peacock vs. Phillip A. Jackson.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx (Pool B).
Match Writer: Man.
This show is being billed as ‘all to play for’, and it is true when it comes to Pool B of the F1 Climaxx competition. There is one spot up for grabs in the Final Four from Pool B and any of Chris Peacock, Lizzie Rose and Cyrus Truth have the ability to take it. Peacock will round out his pool stage against the former FWA Television Champion, Jackson, coming off of two losses in a row to pool leader Bryan Baxter and Lizzie Rose. Although it is not all doom and gloom for the Golden Opportunity holder due to his fledgling tag team with Alyster Black running away victorious on Fallout 024. Peacock will hope to turn his singles luck around against PAJ, who is currently propping up Pool B and has a rampant Shawn Summers to think about, too.
THIRD MATCH - 1/20
Reagan Cole vs. MDC.
Singles Match
Match Writer: Man.
Finally giving into the demands of Jeffry Mason and TYLER to join them did not bring Reagan Cole in-ring success against XYZ on Fallout 024 in what was a close affair. Cole has the chance to clear some red from his win/loss record on Meltdown when he takes on MDC, a man who has failed thus far to get his FWA career off the ground. Cole would be foolish to underestimate this opponent, though.
FOURTH MATCH - 1/30
Gerald Grayson vs. Lizzie Rose.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx (Pool B).
Match Writer: SS.
As already noted, Lizzie Rose is still in contention to qualify from Pool B in the F1 Climaxxx, although to do so she will need to hope that both Cyrus Truth and Chris Peacock falter in their respective match-ups. The former North American Champion will take on one half of the FWA World Tag Team Champions, Gerald Grayson in Odessa. Grayson’s own chances of advancing have passed, however he could look to finish strongly with a victory over Rose to go with his win alongside Michelle von Horrowitz in Mike High Massacre. Regardless, with two agile competitors going at it on Meltdown, it is sure to be a riveting watch for those in attendance.
FIFTH MATCH - MAIN EVENT - 1/30
Bryan Baxter vs. Cyrus Truth.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx (Pool B).
Match Writer: Dubb.
Upon seeing the field in Pool B, few expected Bryan Baxter to be sitting at the top of the pile with an unblemished record heading into the final round of matches, and picking up the North American Championship along the way. Baxter has arguably his toughest match against ‘The Exile’ Cyrus Truth to round things off, with the winner topping Pool B and the loser meeting Alyster Black in the Final Four. Cyrus has the chance to shut out both Chris Peacock and Lizzie Rose with a victory and perhaps also make an argument for a future shot at Baxter’s championship should be so desire. Baxter will need to rely on the guile of Bill Scorpane to overcome this threat and also block out any possible distractions arising from his tense relationship with Jeremy Best.

025: “SIEMPRE.”
Live from Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
Saturday 14th January, 2023.
FIRST MATCH - 1/20.
Bellatrix Bordeaux vs. Shawn Summers.
Singles Match.
Match Writer: Jimmy King.
Shawn Summers finds himself opening Fallout once again in Istanbul, after prevailing over Jason Randall on Fallout 024. However it seemed that ‘The Wildcard’ was not satisfied with how the situation was left and has found himself involved in the growing issues arising between Summers and the FWA Television Champion, Vampyra. There is another woman that ‘Der Bastard’ will have to be wary of in his first match in 2023 though and her name is Bellatrix Bordeaux, another of the recent wave of intriguing new talent arriving in the FWA. Bordeaux certainly made an impact in an aired vignette on Fallout 024, where she attacked a member of the production crew. Whether she can channel this aggression against the baddest man in the FWA remains to be seen.
SECOND MATCH - 1/30
Kayden Knox vs. Vampyra.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx (Pool A)
Match Writer: Dubb.
Kayden Knox shockingly turned on his Bad Reputation partner Gabrielle at the onset of the Mile High Massacre match for the FWA World Tag Team Championships and his heinous assault on ‘The Goddess’ has ruled Gabrielle out of action indefinitely. As such, Knox has been controversially named as Gabrielle’s replacement for her scheduled final match in the F1 Climaxxx against the Television Champion, Vampyra. Vampyra is mathematically unable to advance from the group and Knox’s chances are slim also, but this is a chance for both competitors to pick up an important momentum-building victory. Vampyra will of course need to have eyes in the back of her head because of the threat posed to her by Shawn Summers.
THIRD MATCH - 1/60
Ratin Mikichin vs. Steve the Techno Vampire.
Singles Match.
Match Writer: Man.
Much to the chagrin of Jean-Luc Watkins and likely many others, the rivalry between Ratin Mikichin and Steve the Techno Vampire will rage on in Istanbul. After trading and sharing wins with a failed tag team endeavour to boot, things are still at a stalemate between the goofball pairing and matters could finally be settled on Fallout 025.
FOURTH MATCH - 1/20
Luna Piper vs. Jin-ho.
Singles Match.
Match Writer: Oz.
Istanbul will be treated to a rare singles match appearance for Luna Piper. The devious DJ will be taking on another musically-inclined member of the roster in Jin-ho of the PONI BOI group.
FIFTH MATCH - 1/30
Michelle von Horrowitz vs. Tommy Bedlam.
Singles Match - F1 Climaxxx (Pool A).
Match Writer: SS.
Pool A of the F1 Climaxxx has already been topped by Alyster Black, but who will be joining him in the Final Four to face the victor of Pool B is as yet undetermined and this match between Michelle von Horrowitz (2nd) and Tommy Bedlam (3rd) will help decide who will advance with Black. MvH is coming off of a grand victory in Mile High Massacre, but the toll that match took on her is as yet unknown. Tommy has proven that he can hang with the best that the FWA has to offer in this tournament and he has the chance to cap it off with a huge upset against the former two-time FWA World Champion
SIXTH MATCH - 1/20
Darius Wright vs. Jason Randall.
Singles Match.
Match Writer: Jimmy.
Both Jason Randall and Darius Wright competed on Fallout 024, but with mixed fortunes. Wright convincingly put away The Boulder whilst Randall fell to Shawn Summers. The dominant performance of Wright will have assuredly caused his stock to rise and he has the chance to build upon that win against a more established star in Randall. Randall on the other hand, seems to be less than content to allow Summers to escape him despite falling to him and also has one eye on the Television Championship currently held by Vampyra.
SEVENTH MATCH - MAIN EVENT - -/–
Alyster Black (c) vs. Devin Golden
Winter Wasteland Match for the FWA World Championship.
Match Writer: TGO.
The Winter Wasteland match will make its debut in the FWA on Fallout 025, but in actuality it is a combination of two match types that hardcore FWA fans will be familiar with; the Triple Cage Match and the lethal Taipei Death Match. The winner of this nightmare will be able to call themselves the FWA World Champion.
The idea to merge two of the most dangerous match types in history came from the mind of the challenger, ‘The Rotten Gold’ Devin Golden. Golden initially propositioned the FWA World Champion Alyster Black with one final chapter in their epic rivalry spanning almost two years by placing his legendary career on the line. Devin then decided to up the ante and make what could be his last match one that might actually kill him and the man known for his dominance over the X Championship scene for over 400 days was glad to accept.
Black of course has the F1 Climaxxx to think about as well, and thankfully does not have a Pool A match to consume his time, so his full focus can be on ending the career of Golden and keeping his World Championship reign intact at the same time.
Whatever happens, it is going to be brutal. It is going to be gory. It is definitely going to be memorable.
The deadlines for both shows is:
Sunday 8th January, 2023 at 23:59 Pacific Time.
Monday 9th January, 2023 at 03:00(am) Eastern.
Monday 9th January, 2023 at 08:00(am) UK.
Monday 9th January, 2023 at 11:00(am) Turkey.
Monday 9th January, 2023 at 19:00 Melbourne.
There will be no extensions. Good luckl!
