The Twin Falls Tigers - the MLF's representative from the state of Idaho are currently the only team undefeated in the Diamond Division at the halfway stage of the regular season and are really impressive with one of the best defences in the league. The Tigers are very much expected to advance to the playoffs this season.​

Beaverton Beavers (Oregon) currently sit on top of the Ruby Division with a record of 3-0, and are proving to be one of the most popular teams in the league in regards to merchandise sales with a business partnership having formed with the Disney Shop in the creation of 'Bernie the Beaver' which is proving to be one of the most popular soft toys being sold in Disney Stores nationwide. ​

Jackson Jackrabbits are proving to be one of most popular sports team in Mississippi, with the Emerald Division currently one of the most competitive divisions in the league. Questions are being asked how the one-off game against the Sapphire Division is going to effect the standing leading into the playoffs with the inter-division games set to take place next week.​

Charleston Cobras have found themselves in a very difficult position at the regular season halfway points having gone 0-3, in what is proving to be the tightest division in the MLF with four teams currently tied 2-1. The Cobras team manager has made it clear that the playoffs are unlikely after their start to season, but are hoping to get an invite to one of the recently announced Invitational Bowls that are set to take place the week before the Grand Final.​

Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Football would announce that their first season in the MLF would also be their last - in a matter of a words. Calgary and Edmonton would confirm that both teams would merge to form one brand new super team that would be known as the Alberta Crusaders going onwards for the 2023 season. Both teams would state that this mergers was being done on a financial basis, in order to increase the player pool for both teams moving forward. It would be confirmed that the Crusaders would be assigned to the Sapphire Division retaining Calgary's slot in the league.

With a record of 4-1, Aberdeen Astronauts sit on top of the Diamond Division with just one game to go (not including their Bye Week) and are in a position of knowing that a win in their final game of the regular season will lead to them qualifying for the playoffs. As it stands 2nd to 6th place can not be discounted just yet.

Montana Magpies are sitting at the bottom of the division and are winless with a record of 0-4 and are officially the first team that can not advance to playoff rounds. One has to wonder if the Magpies will invited to take part in any of the Invitational Bowls, or whether they will have to watch the post-season from the stands.

As it stands the Wyoming Wizards sit at the top of Ruby Division, but are only where they are because of points difference with the top four teams all currently holding a record of 3-1, with two games left of the regular season meaning that the top two in the division could chances after Week Seven.

Kentucky Killers Whales have officially been eliminated from the running on that basis that even if they won their next two games they wouldn't be able to bridge their gap having gone 0-4 so far this season.

Edmonton Football Team have also mathematically been eliminated from advancing to the playoffs as they sit at 1-4 with one game left in their season. Edmonton who are set to merge with Calgary next season to form the Alberta Crusaders have confirmed that they will be declined any offers to take part in any Invitational Bowls and that their game against Wyoming Wizards will be the final game in the Edmonton's history as a sole entity.

Delaware Devils find themselves knowing they need to beat Jackson Jackrabbits next week in order to advance, with the Blue Bombers and Saints also playing each other next week meaning that one of two teams will be guaranteed to finish the season with a record of 4-3. If the Jackrabbits lose to Delaware they may still advance depending on points difference.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Arkansas Wild Bears will face each other next week in a dead rubber, with both teams having already been eliminated from playoff contention. No doubt neither side will want to finish at the bottom of the Emerald Division, especially when finish in the higher sport may influence which Invitational Bowls either team may or may not be part of in the postseason.

Calgary Stampeders have completed all their regular season and with record of 5-1 have advanced to the playoffs on their first time of asking, but it will also be their last time as from next season onwards they will merge with Edmonton to become the Alberta Crusaders.

Toronto Argonauts have their destiny have much in their hands going into the final week of the regular season knowing they need to win by +3 points over the Charleston Cobras and they will also advance to the playoff, with the Tornadoes having played their final game of the season.

The Mexican Bears and Alabama Elephants have joined the Cobras as team no longer able to advance into the postseason.​
