Fighting Spirit Magazine reports that Magnus has signed a new two-year deal with TNA. He told the magazine:
"It came down to the wire between TNA, myself, and my agent, but ultimately we came to a mutually beneficial agreement. Simply, earn your spot, and be rewarded. I can only speak for myself, but my career has steadily progressed financially throughout my entire time with the company."

Firstly it is a bit worrying that yet another contract deal has gone down to the wire with TNA. Maybe with Pritchard out of the way they will get someone in place, rumoured to be Jeff Jarrett, that knows how to read a calendar. Very good re-signing by TNA, Magnus is practically the only young potential star that they have on the roster and as an added bonus he is home grown. He has improved a lot since he started with the company and hopefully this BFG Series will be his breakout moment.

Nice to see TNA looking towards the future with this signing. Magnus has improved a lot of the past 2 years and has the opportunity to be one of TNA's leading guys during the next 5-10. The BFG series should solidify him as a star even if he doesn't win it. Logical move by TNA

Not surprised he only signed a 2 year deal, I reckon he's going to use the next 2 years to elevate his career and gain experience in the main event before jumping over to the WWE.

I think I'm seeing a trend, and for ONCE, I think I'm going to give TNA the benefit of the doubt. I don't think they're waiting until the last minute to start attempting to resign these guys, I think these "entertainers" are leveraging their way into more money. Once one of them shows up TNA by making them cave with more money than they wanted to give away, the rest will do it if they're in any semblance of a powerful position.

Good for those guys for not working for Indy money, but damn TNA, don't show your entire hand.

Atleast TNA kept a guy who seemingly looks like a big deal when they go over to the UK, a market they seem to do well in and should go to more often.

This is good business for them of course. Magnus is one of the most improved wrestlers in the business and could be the next Styles or Joe for TNA. If he doesn't get that main event run this year I hope to see it early in 2014.

^ Yeah because most wrestlers would kill for that kind of success with a bit luck he will suppass them. What I really meant was that Magnus is one of the rare recent examples of a wrestler who you could call a TNA original who may just turn out to be a star. Whatever you think of them now, both Joe and Styles have main evented in TNA and were both attractions in the early days of the group.

Anyone wanting to replicate the "success" of AJ or Joe need to get some damn ambition.

Sorry I forgot unless you have wrestled for WWE you are considered a nobody my mistake...

Back when the X Division was hot and TNA was considered a good alterative to WWE people tuned in to see guys like Joe and AJ, and can't be any clearer than that.

For the audience TNA was viewed by back when booking made sense and AJ/Joe were big they were plenty successful.

Good to see Magnus resigned, he continues to get better and better and can definitely be a big deal if pushed right. One of those guys that if he worked the Indys the IWC would gobble his balls like they do all the ex ROH guys.

I'm really happy with this as I have really enjoyed his work for the past little bit now. I hope TNA makes him the face of the company soon. He's done some great stuff.

I'm happy with this because I like the guy and he's still young. Pretty decent on the mic and he has pretty good matches every week it seems, I still can't see him as a world champion yet, but in a couple of years I could. Definitely a guy TNA should have held on to, and I'm glad they did.

I think it's far too quick to throw him into the main event when Aries and Roode should be the ones gettin' these pushes. I don't mind them testin' the waters with Magnus and makin' him a threat down the line though. He is improvin' damn well but the key is he should be improvin'. He's got a good look and is decent in the ring. He should just continue what he's doin' and he'll be a great main eventer in sometime.

Good resignin' for sure.

Atleast he didn't get treated like Roode.
