Why does a title reign need to end at Mania? If every reign ends at Mania it's too predictable. The story made sense to not end it at Mania. Edge needs the belt far less then Roman. Roman it helps with his head of the table character

It doesn't always, but if it's been this LONG, he's been champ FOREVER at this point, no reason not to. Lashley already retained the other world title at Mania.
