WWE Raw had another strong number Monday night, averaging 2.05 million viewers and drawing a 0.58 rating in 18-49, numbers slightly down from last week.

The show was helped coming off the Clash at the Castle pay-per-view, but also had competition from the Georgia Tech vs. Clemson college football game on ESPN that did 4.86 million viewers and drew a 1.36 in 18-49.

Raw seems at its strongest point in a long time going into the first Monday Night Football game of the season next week.

Raw was second to the college football game on cable. The football game beat everything on television and Raw beat everything but the game and The Bachelorette on Monday night.

Raw was second across the board in all the key demos on cable behind football. It beat both Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and Below Deck Mediterranean in women 18-49, two shows that often top it for women.

With Serena Williams out, the U.S. Open head-to-head did 955,000/0.19.

Raw was down three percent in viewers from last week and down one percent in 18-49 while staying the same in 18-34 at a whopping 0.42 rating.

As compared to one year ago on Labor Day, Raw was up 11 percent in viewers, up 12 percent in 18-49, and up 16 percent in 18-34.

There was a third-hour decline in the 18-49 category, particularly with men (down 13 percent from hour one) but not with teenagers.

For total viewers, Raw was fifth behind football and three news shows, the best placing the show has had in recent memory.

The three hours were:
  • 8 p.m. 2.09 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 2.12 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.95 million viewers

So I just realized that Rhea used a new version of her theme song this week with a new scream at the beginning and a new singer. I looked into it a little and apparently she did the scream at the beginning in the first version.

:WOW
