Finn got injured at the worst time, Joe has stayed injured and Shinsuke, if we being real, has not been himself since coming to the main roster. And even so, Finn is a former world champ, Joe has had multiple shots at world titles and had one of the better US Title Reigns in recent history, and Shin won the Rumble, had a world title match at Mania, and has won the US and IC Titles. Given their injuries and inconsistencies, they've achieved about what you'd expect.
I won't deny that a plenty of acts come up from NXT and lose their direction or get watered down. Bobby Roode is probably the most glaring example. Sami Zayn is up there.
But the way people act, you'd think every NXT call up is just immediately jobbed out and forgotten about. When in reality, they usually end up doing alright in the long term. In addition to who I listed already, I could add Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, Elias, Heavy Machinery, Viking Raiders, Street Profits, Apollo Crews, Matt Riddle and Murphy to acts who are currently prominently featured. It's definitely up for debate whether they're better or worse now than they were in NXT, but they're not being ruined and jobbed out for the most part (especially considering very few WWE superstars actually seem to win consistently).
Point being... TUE will probably be no different. One way or another, they're likely gonna find their place, win some titles, be major parts of the show they're on for some time. I'm sure regardless people will say they've been ruined, and they were better in NXT. But it is what is. If you're a fan of NXT more so than WWE (which I get, I'm probably in the same boat) of course you're gonna think everyone is better in NXT.
