World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
At WrestleMania XL, Drew McIntyre finally got to win a world title in front of live fans.
His moment, however, was short lived, due to a fight with CM Punk as well as Damian Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and defeating McIntyre to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
After the dust settled, the stats showed that McIntyre was champion for five minutes, 46 seconds.
With McIntyre fully healed after being injured for a few months, The Scottish Warrior is ready to take back what he won at The Grandest Stage of Them All. McIntyre, while bashing CM Punk verbally in the ring and online, has continued to call The Archer of Infamy a paper champion.
Priest, however, has been a dominant champion, defeating Jey Uso at WWE Backlash France, though The Judgment Day has been discombobulated since Rhea Ripley had to undergo surgery.
McIntyre has stated that Priest is not keeping his focus on his title, instead having to deal with The Judgment Day’s problems with The LWO, Braun Strowman and Awesome Truth.
Aside from their brief match at WrestleMania XL, The Scottish Warrior defeated The Archer of Infamy on the Jan. 22 episode of Raw earlier this year. McIntyre and Priest have also stood together, having been on the losing side of a WarGames Match last year.
In McIntyre’s home country of Scotland at WWE Clash at the Castle, The Scottish Warrior will have the hometown advantage, but will it be enough to put down Priest and take back the World Heavyweight Championship?
Find out who will leave Glasgow, Scotland as champion at WWE Clash at the Castle, streaming live Saturday, June 15, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
