Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy, Royal Rumble 2008

These two had great chemistry with each other and always had solid matches, this one was brilliant too. Awesome finish reversing the Twist of Fate into an RKO lightning fast. Really put Jeff in the upper echolon here, and Randy was just getting into his groove as a heel champ.

WWE RAW (3/8/04) - Chris Benoit vs Matt Hardy

Could have went a few more minutes, but this was the last Raw before 'Mania and Hardy was jobbing like crazy on Raw at this time, so they weren't going to make him seem like a threat at all. **

WWE RAW (3/8/04) - Lita vs Molly Holly

Good stuff here between two very talented women. It got a little sloppy in the middle, but for the most part a fun Divas match. **1/4

WWE RAW (3/8/04) - Chris Jericho vs Steven Richards

After a decent, short match, Christian came out to distract Jericho from locking in the Walls. Stevie came up from behind with a roll up and WON! STEVIE WINS! STEVIE WINS! *3/4

WWE NXT 27/06/2012 - Seth Rollins vs. Jiro

Both men lock up and Jiro is able to grab Rollins’ wrist. Jiro works over the wrist, but Rollins is able to flip Jiro to the mat. Jiro goes for a kick on Rollins, but Rollins catches his leg and sweeps Jiro’s other leg, once again knocking down the Japanese superstar to the canvas. Both men are back up again and Jiro counters an attempted Irish whip from Rollins. Hard chops from Jiro, but Rollins no-sells it. Rollins with three backhand chops and then a clothesline on Jiro. Rollins runs off the ropes and catches Jiro with a one-legged dropkick. Jiro swings and misses wildly, allowing Rollins to capitalize with a big enzuigiri to the back of Jiro’s head. Jiro backs off into the corner as Rollins pumps himself and the crowd up on the opposite corner. Stinger Splash from Rollins and then a spinning heel kick to Jiro’s stomach. Rollins bounces off the ropes and executes the Blackout (think a Fameasser/Namedropper, but using the sole of the foot instead of the thigh/leg) for the pinfall victory. Post-match, Briley Pierce (Dolph Ziggler’s brother) comes out to interview Rollins, who says that he’s out to change the world one heart at a time. This leads to Jinder Mahal coming out for his scheduled match, but not before sharing a look of disapproval with the Davenport, Iowa native. 1/2*

WWE NXT 27/06/2012 - Richie Steamboat vs. Rick Victor

Steamboat also gets the video interview/match combination and makes the point that he’s trying to step out of his father’s shadow and be his own man before going to the ring and doing a lot of dad’s old moves. His father WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is in attendance tonight. Victor is from Calgary and is the last graduate of the infamous Hart Dungeon. Both men grapple around on the mat, with Steamboat gaining the upper hand and locking in a side headlock. Victor breaks the hold and shoves Richie into the ropes. Steamboat slides below Victor’s legs and executes the first arm drag of the match. Another deep arm drag takedown into an armbar. Knowing that he won’t get the win with that, Richie breaks the hold. Richie, however, goes right back to a submission and locks in a keyhold. As soon as Victor gets back to his feet, Richie twists his arm. Victor attempts an arm drag of his own, but Steamboat holds on and locks in an armbar. Both men are on their feet still. Victor with a scoop slam, but Steamboat holds on once again with the armbar. Leg drop to the arm and then another type of armbar on Victor. The hold is broken shortly after. Knife-edged chops from Steamboat. Steamboat is in complete control of the bout. Victor forces Steamboat into the corner. A couple of Canadian Lifters (European uppercuts) get Victor the upper hand. Victor whips Steamboat into the corner, but Steamboat uses the turnbuckle to lift himself up over Victor. Knife-edge chop and a deep arm drag takedown from Richie Steamboat. Another armbar. Victor gets back to a standing position and breaks the hold. Victor attempts a scoop slam, but Richie jumps out of it.Richie charges at Victor and executes a crossbody. Steamboat quickens the pace and then takes Victor down with a big sit-out clothesline. Matt Morgan-like elbows from Steamboat in the corner and then the Sling Blade for the three count. The Sling Blade is Steamboat’s finisher, which is kind of like a sit-out wrap-around clothesline. **

TNA Destination X 2007 - NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs Samoa Joe

Crazy match the whole way through, never a dull moment, though there were some weird spots. Had to laugh at one point when four guys came from the back to make Christian get back in the ring as he tried to leave and Mike Tenay goes "Look at this, the whole locker room is pouring out here!" ****
