WWE NXT 27/06/2012 - Seth Rollins vs. Jiro
Both men lock up and Jiro is able to grab Rollins’ wrist. Jiro works over the wrist, but Rollins is able to flip Jiro to the mat. Jiro goes for a kick on Rollins, but Rollins catches his leg and sweeps Jiro’s other leg, once again knocking down the Japanese superstar to the canvas. Both men are back up again and Jiro counters an attempted Irish whip from Rollins. Hard chops from Jiro, but Rollins no-sells it. Rollins with three backhand chops and then a clothesline on Jiro. Rollins runs off the ropes and catches Jiro with a one-legged dropkick. Jiro swings and misses wildly, allowing Rollins to capitalize with a big enzuigiri to the back of Jiro’s head. Jiro backs off into the corner as Rollins pumps himself and the crowd up on the opposite corner. Stinger Splash from Rollins and then a spinning heel kick to Jiro’s stomach. Rollins bounces off the ropes and executes the Blackout (think a Fameasser/Namedropper, but using the sole of the foot instead of the thigh/leg) for the pinfall victory. Post-match, Briley Pierce (Dolph Ziggler’s brother) comes out to interview Rollins, who says that he’s out to change the world one heart at a time. This leads to Jinder Mahal coming out for his scheduled match, but not before sharing a look of disapproval with the Davenport, Iowa native. 1/2*
