November To Remember 11/30/1997: ECW World Heavyweight Champion Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Shane Douglas

These two are both members of the Triple Threat, but Bigelow refused to lay down for Douglas and defeated Douglas for the belt back in October. During another match, he broke Francine's pelvis, causing her to come out on crutches. The important thing to remember about this show is that it takes place right outside of Pittsburgh, PA. As a result, the #1 heel for ECW, Douglas, is treated as a gigantic babyface. This becomes a mess for storyline purposes. Everything up to this point made Bigelow an unlikely hero, but the fans hate him here. It’s too bad that Shane got the big hometown victory and a third title reign that would last over a year, because judging from this match, what he really needed was to get over himself. This thing was too damn slow, long, and predictable. *3/4

Hardcore TV 08/15/1998: ECW World Television Champion Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn

I believe this would have been their first match. And was built all around RVD's cocky attitude. Great first match from them, with Lynn being hungry and making a couple of mistakes as a result. It's easy to see why Heyman built 1999 around RVD vs Lynn. ***3/4

WCW The Great American Bash 1990: US Title Match- Mean Mark v.s Lex Luger(c).

This match was just awful. Nothing made sense, everything was off. It was just too big men doing awkward shit mostly because Mean Mark had no idea what to do during simple exchanges. There pretty much wasn't one clean transition. The match also goes way past anything Mark was prepared for. Oh and if you didn't know Mean Mark is the Undertaker. So when I say he sucks in 1990, he fuckin' blows. Deal with it. Paul E. Dangerously happens to be Mark's manager here. Late in the match Luger has him in the Toture Rack and Paul E. saves the DAY. Well not really because Mean Mark doesn't have anything. He can't follow up for shit. A couple weak looking punches by this completely winded young Deadman was just painful to watch. After this he sloppily throwing Luger into the ropes and hitting another useless punch, Mark sets up HIS dreaded heart punch. I found it hilarious that the announcers thought he went for it earlier when he missed a closeline. Now I got to see the move for REAL. Luger just reverses it after pretty much taking nothing that looked like it damaged for the last minute or so with a boot and closeline... And that is where it ends. Tragic, tragic stuff. I'd give it a dud if Luger didn't try his best to dictate the pace of this.

WCW The Great American Bash 1990: WCW Tag Team Title Match- Doom(c) v.s The Rock N' Roll Express.

This wasn't a too bad of a match but I don't think Rock N' Roll Express were at all in this. I've seen them have great matches up until about 1994 so I kind of expected more. They pretty much just looked old. Maybe they were trying to work around Doom as an imposing force but you are the Rock N' Roll Express, C'MON. You should have brought it and then some. It was a huge title match during a show that had already had some great tag contests. The division is at a fever pitch tonight. I still don't know what it is for sure about their performance, I was just underwhelmed. Doom were clearly supposed to win and get a good win here. It was a good match for that to bring in a team that doesn't compete for you as regularly as they used to. It's just R N' R just weren't all in there. The way Ricky Morton ends up tagging out after a long, long beatdown was just pathetic. Nothing. The crowd was even like what the fuck? This is the god damn R N' R Express. Jesus Christ. That is about all I got to say except I liked the finish.

WCW The Great American Bash 1990: WCW Title Match- Sting v.s Ric Flair.

A very solid main event but they had tons of people outside the ring. Wait they didn't really effect anything. You got your usual Flair/Sting goodness here. The exchanges were pretty good considering you got to put up with Sting sometimes. I never like his no-selling even if it's part of his character. A lot of times Sting will become one dimensional and even by that I mean he'll just keep going back to well. He doesn't tend to do to much here as Flair makes everything Sting does look more meaningful then it was. Man, Ric Flair sure made Sting look great. No wonder these two had have so many matches. It's mostly your typical Sting/Flair match if you've seen one so I shouldn't have to go into much detail. The finish worked very well too... Of course I don't think Sting deserved to win, though.

WCW Japan Supershow 1991: Shiro Koshinaka, Kuniaki Kobayashi and Takayuki Iizuka v.s Tim Horner, Brian Pillman and Z-Man.

This was a decent match. Everyone seemed to work with each other reasonably well. It was mostly back and forth. J.R. was putting over Pillman like crazy in this match. I don't know why he did, pretty much he just did as much Z-man and the other team to make this look good. Tim Horner was alright too but looked a bit out of place on his team. All he did was make the match more awkward though. Not many errors but it didn't feel like anything other than exhibition. Solid back and forth stuff just not much substance or reasoning to have this match other than to put these guys on the card. Still it's hard to argue against the action they displayed. The finish also worked well it seemed to fit both teams just logically made sense.

WCW Japan Supershow 1991: IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match- Akira Nogami v.s Jushin Liger(c).

This wasn't too bad, it just didn't get to develop. Nogami never got to the point of a real challenge for Liger. Liger took a few moves and hit a few of his own. It was just there was no transitional pace to each thing they did. Nogami kind of looked like he was in it to win at point early on but Liger being the confident champion he is pretty much shut that down. Some more few and back and forth moves that tried to make this match feel important happened. It just seemed like filler for such a great title.

WCW Japan Supershow: Masa Saito & Masahiro Chono v.s Arn Anderson & Barry Windham.

This was just good stuff while it lasted. Great exchanges even if they didn't know each other very well. Really thought Arn and Barry did their best here and Saito and Chono did their normal stuff. It was like Anderson and Windham were just smart enough to work off them. Not much of a match but it does develops and doesn't reach another level but this was very fun match. The finish I didn't care for like the previous matches. Anderson and Windham won but I felt Saito and Chono had more left in the tank. Oh well, still the best match so far.

WCW Japan Supershow: Big Cat v.s El Gigante.

El Gigante actually wasn't too awful in this but I can' give it anything other than dud. Why is that, KIF? Gigante got too exicited at one point to hit a suplex in Japan he stalled for about 30 seconds sucking it up before doing the move. At that point I was done. Not much happened in he match anyways and Cat just took everything without even looking like a threat.

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - NWA Tag Team Championship: America's Most Wanted vs. Miyamoto & Nosawa

This was a solid back and forth match with neither team able to get the upperhand for a most of the match. I also like AMW brining back the death sentence for the win rather then Storm or Harris hitting their own finisher for the match. After the match while Harris and Storm were walking up the ramp celebrating their victory, they were attacked from behind with steel chairs at the hands of the Naturals. Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens have been making a statement for the past couple of weeks by interfering in the tag champs business, but they took it even further tonight by putting lipstick all over the face of AMW. ***

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - Ladies Stretcher Match: Trinity vs. Desire
This wasn't a bad match like i expected and it wasn't that good as well, but both ladies tried their best to put on a good proformance. so i give them ratings for trying. But lets be honist this match was only here to debut Big Vito, who I honestly forget was ever in TNA. 1/2*

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - Jerry Lynn vs. Scott D’Amore
This match was a surprise. D'Amore got a ton of offense in and Lynn basically came off looking very weak. This thing went over 15 minutes long and it looked like D'Amore was legit hurt after the piledriver. DUD!

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - Mini Pierroth vs. Mascarita Sagrada
Randomly, midgets are wrestling so I'll keep this short. Sagrada wins. David Young tries to attack the midgets, but D-Ray 3000 gets involved and David Young somehow gets pinned by midgets and D-Ray 3000. NEXT!

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - NWA X Division Championship: AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff is really trying to make a good first impression here, despite his reputation already being cemented due to the end of his first WWE run. These two were shaping up to have a decent match until Kid Kash and Dallascome out to beat down both Hardy and Styles for a no contest. **3/4 Hardy was really over but the match was a dissapointment.

NWA TNA Weekly PPV #100 (06/23/2004) - NWA World Championship: Jeff Jarrett vs. Ron Killings

Before the match started, Russo found two guitars under the ring. Tenay hyped this as the first NWA Title match in a six sided ring. These two men have pretty underrated chemisty together and alway pull of solid matches. And everything was going well until TNA did a TNA and SWERVED us when Killings blocked the attempted guitar shot, hit a low blow on Jarrett, then nailed him with the guitar and got the pin. Afterwards, Jarrett begged the refs to not let the title switch hands since Killings used the guitar. Russo, three refs, BG James, Konnan, Killings, and Jarrett all argued about the winner. Dusty Rhodes finally came out and told Russo that sometimes the wrong decision IS the right decision, and to make this decision with his heart, not his head. UGH!!!!. **3/4

PWG World’s Finest - Peter Avalon vs. Kevin Steen

This was a fun opener that made Avalon look tough for gettig the SHIT kicked out of him. Despite the fact that everyone knew Steen winning the crowd was inevitable but they were able to keep the action entertaining despite that fact. **1/2 After the match Steen says that "it takes a real man to jump somebody from behind" and that he respects Avalon. He apologizes for not defending the tag titles but reminds everyone that he never received his rematch against El Generico for the PWG World Title.
