Bret Hart vs. Rick Martel. As Martel is showing off to the crowd, Bret mows him down with a clothesline. Bret with a hammerlock, then clamps on an armbar. Martel tries a hip-lock but Hart blocks it. Martel eventually gets some offense going with a vertical suplex. Martel with an abdominal stretch. Bret grabs Martel's left arm in an attempt to break the hold. Martel uses his superior strength keep it on.

Bret gets a second wind. He gets Martel with an Inverted Atomic Drop. Bret snap suplexes him. Bret keeps going for elbow drops as the match is drawing to a close. Bret with a backbreaker. Bret grabs both of Martel's legs and stomps him in the gut. Martel repeatedly leaves the ring in a desperate attempt to bid his time. The twenty-minute time limit has expired.

During the late 80's, Coliseum Video was releasing The Hitman's matches against Dino Bravo and Martel. Hart was a tag team wrestler, but the WWF was testing if he can work twenty-minute matches.

Rockers vs. Powers of Pain w/Fuji. Jannetty puts Barbarian in a wristlock, then tags Shawn. He comes in with a flying double axe-handle on the Barbarian's arm. HBK is wise enough to keep the wristlock on his much stronger opponent. A frustrated Barbarian tries a crude clothesline, which The Rockers easily ducks and counters with a double super-kick.

Marty tries to hurricanranna Warlord but gets caught with a powerbomb. Powers of Pain are taking turns beating up Marty. Warlord bodydrops Marty, gut first, to the canvas. Barbarian wears Marty Jannetty down with a bear hug. When Marty tags Shawn, Shawn explodes and lights up both of his opponents. However, Shawn was too energized because as he was running off the ropes he didn't notice Master Fuji. Fuji trips his leg and Barbarian elbow-drops Shawn for the win.

Davey Boy Smith vs. Undertaker w/Paul Bearer. The Undertaker starts by choking Smith against the turnbuckles. Smith clotheslines him over the top rope but Undertaker lands on his feet. The Deadman with karate thrusts to Smith's throat. Davey tries to suplex him but isn't successful. Smith tries multiple standing headbutts but the Deadman is unfazed. Undertaker keeps it up with those karate thrusts to the throat. Davey finally succeeds in picking The Deadman up for the delayed vertical suplex but he springs back up. As a frustrated Davey Boy is rushing towards him, Undertaker ducks and Stun Guns him, throat first, on the top rope. Undertaker pins him.

This match took place shortly after Undertaker came to the aid of Randy Savage in his feud with Jake Roberts.

Bret vs Owen at Mania10.

Man, the chemistry between the two brothers is absolutely incredible here. Great workrate and story to go along with it.

Biased, but this match is the best opening match in WrestleMania history, bar none.

Tetsuya Naito vs. Kenoh. Wrestle Kingdom 17: NJPW vs. NOAH. Naito starts the match with stalling tactics in order frustrate Kenoh. Naito tries a drop toehold, but the prideful NOAH star spends several seconds fighting to stay upright but eventually goes down. Naito hurricanrana's him, which forces Kenoh to leave the ring. As Naito was doing his model pose, Kenoh quickly returns to the ring and Bison stomps Naito in the gut. Kenoh with several karate kicks to Naito in the corner of the ring.

Naito with an inverted Atomic drop and a short dropkick to Kenoh's knee. Naito wears him down with a kravat. Naito wristlocks Kenoh, pulls him forward, and nails him with three successive elbows. Naito was going for that wristlock--elbow combination throughout the match. Naito executes a Super-rana. Kenoh stops Naito's offensive flow with a Dragon Suplex. Kenoh surprises Naito with a sambo roll and clamps on an ankle-lock. Kenoh picks Naito up for a suplex, but Naito pushes his weight down on Kenoh for a two-count. Naito wins with The Destino.

When there were five minutes remaining, I was assuming Kenoh could pull off an upset on Naito's turf. Especially since a Naito vs. Kenoh rematch would draw huge money at the gate.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi. New Beginning 23. Shingo begins with a snapmare and a rear chinlock. When they lock-up, Shingo gets the upper hand with a wristlock and puts his weight as added pressure on that wristlock. They then engage in a Grecco Roman knuckle-lock. Okada uses his superior upper body strength to put Shingo down on the mat. It's a scientific match early on.

Okada with a dropkick to the side of his neck. Shingo tries a clothesline, but Okada ducks it and clamps on a Million Dollar Dream sleeper. Okada tombstones him on the protective mat outside. Okada reverts to his Million Dollar Dream sleeper when they're back in the ring.

Okada wristlocks Shingo and sets him up for a Rainmaker but Shingo counters with a clothesline. Shingo with an abdominal stretch and converts it into a pump handle slam. Okada Gut-wrench slams him and puts him away with The Rainmaker.

The Rockers are double-teaming Knobbs well. Jimmy tosses his motorcycle helmet to Knobbs, but HBK intercepts it and smashes the helmet against Knobbs' head. In the brawl which ensued, the ref can't keep order and there's confusion as to who is the legal man. Marty rushes in and pins an unconscious Knobbs for the win.

Jake Roberts vs. The Barbarian w/Bobby Heenan. WWF US Rampage '91. Jake can't win a lock-up against the much stronger Barbarian so he resorts to jabbing and moving away from the much stronger Barbarian. He tries a wristlock and an armbar but Barbarian is unfazed. Barbarian ducks down for a bodydrop attempt but Roberts kneelifts him. Roberts tries a short-arm clothesline but Barbarian ducks and counters with a big boot. As Jake is down, Barbarian turns his back on his opponent and listens to instructions from his manager. Jake recovers and stuns him with a DDT. Barbarian is out, but Earthquake appears at ringside. Roberts leaves the ring, takes out his snake and chases Earthquake. He doesn't beat the ref's count.

Barbarian gets a rare win over a top star.

(c) Randy Savage w/Elizabeth vs. Shawn Michaels w/Sherri for Savage's World title. WWF UK Rampage '92. HBK backs Savage up against the turnbuckles and tries a short spear, which Savage easily moves out of the way. Shawn takes Savage down with a quick shoulderblock. HBK runs off the ropes. Savage puts his head down for a bodydrop attempt. Shawn, in a crude but smart move, grabs Savage's hair and pushes him against the turnbuckles. HBK skins the cat, but Savage sees it coming and clotheslines HBK over the top rope. He doesn't let up as he double Axe handle smashes Shawn outside of the ring.

HBK does a nice sequence of moves: Irish whip, punches Savage in the gut and a swinging neckbreaker. Savage, going for the same double axe handle too many times, tries yet another but Shawn punches him in the gut. Savage tries a hiptoss but Shawn grabs his wrist and short-arm clotheslines him. HBK climbs the top and executes a sunset flip, hoping to take advantage of a dazed Savage but only gets a two-count. Savage defeats Shawn with a cross body off the second turnbuckles.

It wasn't the main event, but it was the best match of the night. Savage and Elizabeth received a huge pop from the crowd, as he was fresh off defeating Flair at Wrestlemania VIII.

The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart vs. Virgil. WWF UK Rampage '92. Virgil with a flurry of body punches, a bodydrop and then a clothesline on The Mountie. He's reeling. Virgil stings a dazed Mountie with jabs. Mountie gets some offense going with a running bulldog. Mountie with a half Nelson--hammerlock on Virgil and then slams his head against the turnbuckle padding. When Virgil is running off the ropes, Jimmy trips him. As the ref is arguing with Jimmy, Mountie grabs his cattleprod and electrocutes Virgil. An exhausted Mountie draps his arm over Virgil for the win.

Usually, Mountie gets his ass whooped by his opponent (i.e. Tito Santana), throws no offense in, and Jimmy comes to his rescue by handing him his cattleprod. He used the cattleprod in this match, too, but at least he did put some offense in against Virgil. It wasn't a one-sided affair.

Hercules vs. Akeem w/Slick. Supertape Vol. 2. Hercules with a stiff roundhouse right to Akeem, sending him reeling right through the ropes. He did some comical over-selling. Hercules stuns Akeem with quick jabs and a right hook. Hercules slams Akeem's head against the turnbuckle pads ten times straight. Akeem, then, slams his head against the turnbuckles and is so dazed, he dances. When Hercules is runing off the ropes for a clothesline, Slick grabs the top rope. The ref sees it and DQ's Akeem.

This was a Coliseum Video fan requested match.
