Will Ospreay vs. Tetsuya Naito - G1 Climax 32 Semi Final

Late to the party but I watched this after Impact on AXS because I saw it advertised. Very good back and forth match, been a while since I watched Naito and was reminded that I need to watch him much more often. Guy is just unreal. Loved their chemistry together.

Also on the same show was Okada vs. Tama Tonga which was pretty nice as well.

SummerSlam 00 was all about the revolutionary Triple Threat TLC Match. Dudleys/Hardys/E&C.

I'm about to rewatch that match now.

Lance Archer vs. Kazuchika Okada. G1 Climax 32. Archer chokeslams Okada. Okada attempts a European Uppercut but it doesn't faze Lance.

Archer scoop slams a ring boy directly onto a fallen Okada outside the ring. Archer clamps on a knuckle-lock on Okada, walks the top rope, similar to The Undertaker, and nails him with a moonsault.

Archer rushes forward with a clothesline, which Okada ducks, and stops him dead in his tracks with a dropkick. Archer executes a vicious Rainmaker clothesline of his own. Archer takes a breather which gives Okada enough time to recuperate. Okada weakens Archers with a Money Clip. Archer pretends to be dazed, giving Okada a false sense of security. He rushes forward with a vicious Lariat. The end comes when Okada slams him and finishes him off with a Rainmaker.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Tama Tonga. G1 Climax Semi-finals. Tonga begins with an armdrag. In out of the ring action, Okada DDTs him. Okada gets back in the ring and is content with a count-out win. Tonga barely beats the count at 19.

Okada irish-whips Tonga against the turnbuckles. Tonga rushes at him with a vicious clothesline. Tonga took too long playing to the crowd before executing a frog splash. Okada does his signature Elbow-bow drop off the top but is holding his left side, grimaces in pain. Tama attempts a pedigree but Okada holds Tama's wrist and counters with a short-arm clothesline. Okada tries to put him away with a Rainmaker but Tama stops him with a Gun Stun. Okada clamps on a Money Clip.

Tama is energized but took too much time playing to the crowd again. Okada sees the Gun Stun coming a mile away and finishes him off with a Rainmaker. Tama kept going for the Gun Stun far too often towards the end of the match.

IWGP Jr. Tag team Champions TJ Perkins, Francesco Akira vs. Rysuke Taguchi and Master Wato. Fighting Spirit. Wato performs a quick armdrag on TJP but Perkins counters with a head scissors. Wato Jr. with head scissors but TJP performs s heads stand to try to get out of it. Taguchi and Wato double-teams Akira with a double drop toehold and dropkick.

Akira with a crisply done moonsault from the second turnbuckle on Wato outside. Inside the ring, TJP Irish-whips Wato against the turnbuckles but Wato rushes forward and dropkicks TJP's left knee.

Wato hurricanrana's TJP, and TJP quickly gets out of the ring. Taguchi locks in an ankle-lock on Akira. TJP lifts Taguchi up on his shoulders. Akira climbs the top and executes a Steiner-style bulldog to win it. TJP and Akira retain their titles.

Karl Anderson vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. Fighting Spirit. For Karl's NEVER Openweight title. Tanahashi starts the match with a quick go-behind, then a waistlock. Anderson with a side headlock. Karl with a hammerlock and wristlock.

Doc Gallows chokeslams Tanahashi on the edge of the ring apron. Anderson attempts to kick Tanahashi in the stomach but Tanahashi grabs his leg and counters with a Dragon Screw. Tanahashi with a left hook to Anderson's liver.

Anderson executes a Fireman's Carry converted to a TKO. Tanahashi clamps on a Texas Cloverleaf. Gallows jumps on the apron to argue with the ref so he didn't see Karl tap. Tanahashi perches the top to perform a flying bodypress, but it his feet were shaking and he was losing his balance. Anderson tries a Gun Stun but Tanahashi partially blocked it. Anderson persists with the Gun Stun and pins Tanahashi to retain his title.

Gallows kept interfering throughout. He used the oldest trick in the book when he grabbed Tanahashi's leg which gave Anderson a chance to perform his finisher.

Tomohiro Ishii vs. Eddie Edwards. Ishii takes him down with a shoulderblock. Ishii powerslams Edwards outside the ring. Ishii attempts to piledrive Edwards on the edge of the ring apron. But Edwards pushes his weight downward to stop the move.

Inside the ring. Edwards tries a double underhook but Ishii counters with a back bodydrop. Ishii tries a clothesline, Edwards ducks it and nails Ishii with a super-kick which doesn't faze Ishii. Edwards with a belly-to-back suplex but Ishii gets right back up.

Edwards executes a Tiger-driver but Ishii kicks out at two. Ishii beats him with the Brain-buster.
