Tetsuya Naito vs. Will Ospreay. Battle Autumn '22. Naito starts it with an armdrag. He ducks an Ospreay clothesline, runs off of the ropes and executes a hurricanrana. Ospreay quickly gets on his feet with a hand-stand.

Ospreay backs Naito up against the ropes, and tries a reverse knife edge, but Naito ducks it. Naito Irish whips him and executes an unusual hiptoss, backbreaker combo. Ospreay is screaming in agony. Naito cinches on a neck crank to further agonize Ospreay's neck.

He tries his signature Combination Cabron, but Ospreay catches him, mid-flight, and beats Naito with a chop to his chest. Naito tries a hiptoss, but Ospreay stops his right arm and clamps on an abdominal stretch, then a spinning back-breaker. Naito perches Ospreay up on the top turnbuckles and grabs his neck for a running neckbreaker, but it took effort to do the move, as Ospreay lowered his neck to allow Naito to do the move.

Naito tries a hurricanrana, but Ospreay squashes it with a Tiger-driver. Ospreay with a Storm-breaker on Naito, pinning him to retain his US title.

Daniel Bryan vs, Kofi Kingston - 'Mania 35

Very happy Kofi got the W, and big ups to DB for putting him over. Say whatever the hell you want about Kofi or his reign, that moment was dope.

Great O-Khan & Jeff Cobb vs. Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood for FTR's IWGP Tag team titles. Battle Autumn '22. Wheeler with a side headlock on Cobb. Cobb lifts him up and pushes him away. Wheeler tries a go-behind, waistlock on Cobb. Cobb counters with an armdrag.

Harwood vertical suplexes Khan. O-Khan Irish whips Harwood against the turnbuckles. He rushes in carelessly, though, and gets hit with a back elbow from Harwood. Harwood with a snap suplex on Khan and he does it near his corner, to make it easier to double-team Khan.

Wheeler tries a move off the top turnbuckles. O-Khan stops him with a Von Erich Claw. Harwood performs a wristlock, short-arm clothesline combo on O-Khan but it doesn't faze him. Harwood with a right cross on O-Khan, follows it up with a side suplex. Harwood executes a superplex on O-Khan. Wheeler quickly follows it up with a big splash off the top turnbuckle on the other side of the ring, reminiscent of Power & Glory's finisher. Harwood pins O-Khan to retain their titles.

Wheeler and Harwood knew what each other was thinking. They were solid all-around: A technical style in the opening minutes, then a stiff-style, and eventually high-octane moves in the closing moments of the match.

Sting vs. Johnny B. Badd for Sting's US title. Clash of Champions XVI. I was looking forward to this match, but it was a let-down. Sting was embroiled in a feud with Abdullah the Butcher where Abdullah would break out of a box and attack him.

The match lasted a few minutes. Sting was trying high-risk moves too early on. Johnny B. Badd was distracted by a box which was delievered on the ramp, thinking it was a gift. He just kept looking at it, even after his manager Theodore Long said it wasn't for him. Sting pins him with a sloppy Inside cradle.

Fabulous Freebirds vs. Patriots--Todd Champion and Firebreaker Chip. Clash of Champions XVI. It was advertised for the Freebirds' US Tag team titles but Jim Ross comments before the match that it's non-title. The Freebirds practically threw no offensive moves. Chip did a poorly executed dropkick on Jimmy Garvin. And, then, he botched a roll-up. When Todd tags in, he beats up both Freebirds but then quickly tags back out to his partner, a rookie mistake. When the ref is arguing with Todd, Chip has Garvin pinned. Michael Hayes elbows Chip in the back of his head. He drapes Garvin over an unconscious Chip for the win.

The Patriots--with their bodybuilder physiques and wearing military gear and a Fireman's uniform, looked like Chippendale's dancers.

Steve Austin w/Lady Blossom vs. Tom Zenk for Austin's TV title. Clash of Champions XVI. Austin with a side headlock, then a hammerlock on Zenk. Stunning Steve showed some technical moves early in the match. Whenever Zenk got the upper-hand, Austin would revert back to a basic side headlock to wear the "Z-Man" down. Austin runs off the ropes and takes Zenk down with a shoulderblock. Austin with a side headlock takedown on Zenk. Zenk with an armdrag, then an armbar on Austin.

Zenk misses a cross body off the top. Austin executes a Stun Gun, but took too long to catch a breather. Z-Man catches Austin off-guard with an inside cradle. Zenk clamps on a sleeper-hold, Austin is fading fast but he gets to the ropes. Lady Blossom slips him brass knuckles. Austin takes a wild swing, but Zenk ducks. When Z-Man goes for an atomic drop, Austin punches him on the forehead, knocking him out. He pins an unconscious Zenk to retain his title.

This was the only good match on the card.

Invader 3 vs. Chicky Starr. Hot Night in Bayamon. Invader 3 bloodies Chicky early in the match. He irish whips Chicky hard against the turnbuckles. Invader with a high knee to Chicky's gut. Invader inadvertently rams his shoulder to the ring post. He's out of the ring. When he climbs back on the ring apron, Chicky lifts him up for a suplex, but Invader pushes his weight downwards to fall on-top of Chicky. Invader peppers him with jabs and right crosses. He tries a side headlock but Chicky counters with a side suplex. Invader backs Chicky against the turnbuckles for a monkey flip but Chicky grabs the rope to prevent himself from getting flipped. Invader falls down hard on the mat. Chicky pins him for the win. Since it was billed as a grudge match where Invader finally gets his revenge, it would've been nice for him to win.

The feud stemmed from Chicky injuring Invader, forcing him out of action for months. When Invader returns, he's out for revenge. Chicky hosts a talk segment, Chicky's Sports Shop, which is similar to Piper's Pit. Invader showed up to his show, took a 2x4 out of his pants and whacked Chicky repeatedly.

Great Muta, Toru Yano, Kazuchika Okada vs. Unied Empire: Great O'Khan, Jeff Cobb, and Aaron Henare. Historic Crossover. O'Khan performs a crudely done, rear chinlock on Muta. He proceeds to put his fingers over Muta's eyes and then bites into his left shoulder. Muta starts fighting back. He executes a People's Elbow on O'Khan. Cobb and Henare take turns double-teaming Toru Yano. Cobb lifts him up for a vertical suplex, but too long posing with the move.

Muta, Okada, and Yano take turns on Henare. Muta knocks him down with a Dragon Screw. Okada scoop slams Henare and follows it up a flying elbow. Yano then performs an inverted Atomic drop. Okada puts Henare away with The Rainmaker.

Solid six-man tag match.

Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat vs. Miguelito Perez Jr. & Hurricane Castillo in a hair vs. hair match. Hot Night in Bayamon. Castillo cinches on a side headlock on Kroffat. He tags Perez. They double-team Kroffat with a double-dropkick and double hiptoss. Perez Irish whips him right into his partner Jaggers. Perez and Castillo takes Kroffat down with a double shoulderblock. Perez and Castillo are a well oiled machine. They're making quick tags and wearing down Kroffat while Jaggers hasn't seen any action yet. The muscular Kroffat is in the ring for most of the match. The flabby Jaggers seems content with just standing on the apron.

Castillo with a vertical suplex on Kroffat. Kroffat eventually gets some offense going with a running powerslam on Perez. Kroffat powerbombs Perez. Castillo throws Kroffat over the top rope but there's no disqualification. Castillo pins Kroffat with a victory roll. Since Jaggers was only in the thick of the action when his opponents were down, they targeted him after the match was over. Kroffat's locks were trimmed but much of Jaggers' hair was cut in an intentionally amateurish way.

Carlos Colon vs. Hercules Ayala in a Fire Match. Main event at Hot Night at Bayamon. Ayala Irish whips Colon and knocks him down with a standing back elbow. Ayala tries to force Colon into the flames. He succeeded in getting some of the fire to singe Colon's hair. Ayala Irish whips him, knocks him down with a clubbing clothesline. Many of the moves are rudimentary since either men could get burned if they tried a fancy maneuver.

Colon fights back with a headbutt to Ayala. Ayala weakens him with low kicks to his legs. Colon with an Atomic drop. Colon puts him in a figure-four leglock in the center of the ring. The ref has no choice but to call a halt. Colon refuses to let go of the figure-four. But, unlike Bret Hart refusing to let go of his sharpshooter on Jerry Lawler at Summer Slam '93, the decision is not reversed and Colon is declared the winner.

While neither man was burned, it was frightening to watch. Especially when Colon grabbed the ropes to prevent himself from getting burned.

Shota Umino vs. Will Ospreay, for Ospreay's US Title. Historic Crossover. Umino knocks him down with a running shoulderblock. Ospreay kips up to show it had no effect on him. Umino misses a clothesline, but Ospreay foolishly counters with an Os-cutter early in the match. Umino tries a side headlock, takedown on Ospreay to which Ospreay counters with a head scissors. They wrestle to a standstill.

Umino with a snapmare and rear chinlock on Ospreay. Umino carelessly runs off of the ropes and Ospreay counters with a stun gun and big boot. Ospreay applies a Stepover kravat. He tries a vertical suplex but Umino quickly lands on his feet. He takes Ospreay down with a standing reverse elbow and follows it up with a dropkick to Ospreay's shoulder. Umino irish whips Ospreay to set him up for a dropkick, but Ospreay grabs the rope.

Ospreay looks like he's setting Umino up for a Rude Awakening but nails Umino with a forearm to the back of his neck. Ospreay executes Storm Breaker to retain his IWGP US title.

Carlos Colon vs Joe LeDuc in a barbed wire match. Colon punches and headbutts LeDuc. LeDuc is cut early in the match. LeDuc wraps the wire around Colon's mouth. LeDuc tries to push Colon's face towards the wire. Colon Irish whips LeDuc against the ropes. He takes LeDuc down with a single-leg, setting him up for a figure-four. Colon wraps LeDuc's legs up in a figure four. Ref calls a halt. Colon has won but he isn't finished with LeDuc just yet. Colon does a step-over toehold and clamps on the figure-four on LeDuc after the match is over.

It seems under Puerto Rican rules, a wrestler can put his opponent in a submission hold after the match is over and the ref can't disqualify him.
